The air conditioner is broken. We could not turn on the room temperature. Room amenities are few like no slippers and not enough lighting and the telephone is broken too. We could not contact the reception desk.

Convenient and comfortable

This hotel is well located near train station and even a bus to the airport. It also has air con, useful in a Geneva heat wave, and an honesty bar on each floor with refrigerated drinks. Staff were helpful and pleasant. I would definitely stay there again.

My booking was an emergency on the day, but thankfully the hotel is clean, comfortable and the staff were friendly. It is walkable to the city centre (around 15 minutes), but there are also good public transport links both to the city centre and to the airport and Palexpo. If you arrive in the evening and need to eat, there's an Italian restaurant a couple of doors down on the corner that does good food. There's also a Japanese restaurant opposite. The only shock I had was the final bill being more than I'd anticipated when I booked, but that's because of city tax being added. Something to allow for in your budget!

Hotel Les Nations

The hotel is just about 15 mins walk from Nations/WIPO. There are frequent bus connections as well to Nations (bus 8 and 11). Gare Cornavin (rly stn) is also within walking distance but if you have luggage then take bus no.8 going the other direction. The City-Centre and Old town are also connected via Bus 8 (stop Metropole). The breakfast is good but you get the same things every day which makes it unattractive from day3 onwards if staying longer. No hot meals in the breakfast - which is also a negative factor. The front desk staff is helpful. All of them speal English otherwise the default language is French. There is an Italian restaurant next door to the left of the hotel, which serves good food (La Perla).

The hotel is in good condition. Fully available by public transportation, nice zone with parks near, walking distance from the major train station of Geneva to go everywhere. Two inconveniences: there’s no air conditioning and you need it in summer. The other is that the hotel doesn’t have a good breakfast option, just the European style: bread and some cold meats and coffee. But, three great options to eat breakfast or dine French style just in the corner.

Excellent hotel for active stay

Visited Geneva for three days and found this hotel perfect as a base for a busy schedule. Very clean and comfortable rooms, helpful and friendly staff and a great location close to the city centre, but just enough away to be quiet and peaceful. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and will use again if going back to Geneva. Particular bonus points for the kettle in the room, which is unusual outside the UK!

Inflated prices due to a business conference running at the convention centre. Assuming you are paying normal prices of around £100 a night, it is a perfectly pleasant hotel. Not luxury but clean, modern, free toiletries, 24 hour reception and nice and quiet. Not in the middle of town but also not far by bus/taxi either.

Stayed four nights in summer 2017, check in simple. Was offered additional breakfast but didn't take this as there are plenty of places nearby for this, so can't comment in the food. Given the free public transport card on check in without having to ask.

Good location

Close and easy to get to/from Geneva/Cornavin train station (3 stops if you use the tram). Room and bath were OK, very clean. The only things to consider: they list laundry facilities on the amenities but there is only an ironing room. There are 7 floors, but the elevator goes up to the 6th and then you have to use the stairs. Not a problem for me, but if you carry heavy luggage, you should ask not to stay on the 7th. Towels could be improved.

I'd recommend this hotel for business travellers. The room was spotlessly clean, comfortable and spacious. There's no restaurant or bar so you'd need to eat out but the breakfast was far better than most basic hotels with plenty of choice. The reception staff were very helpful professional and everything was easy - including being able to hop on a number 8 bus and get straight to the UN offices within a few minutes. Super convenient.

Under-managed and over-expensive

The hotel was over-priced and gave too little for what they charged. There was very noisy maintenance work going on during my stay, starting at 7am every morning. Not a word of explanation or apology from management. One evening I returned to find my room had not been made up. Not a word of apology or explanation from management. The following day my room was again partially made up. I'd given up reporting things to the front desk by this time. On my final evening I took a whisky miniature from the mini-bar -- it had been watered down (a cheating earlier guest, I expect, but still ....).

I was amazed at how well this hotel was maintained. I was also surprised that my room had a little kitchenette, although I was not there long enough to make that useful. I also was given a \"quiet\" room that was indeed very quiet. I will definitely try to stay there again. The shampoo, conditioner, and bath gel were wonderful. The internet worked very well.

Pleasant lobby and management. The room was comfortable, modern, and clean. The breakfast was extra cost, but was fresh, and provided enough choices for anyone.
They gave you a free bus pass that got us everywhere we needed to go including a relatives apartment on the edge of the old town.

Hotel was on a busy street with lots of traffic noise. Room was comfortable and roomy for two. Ensuite toilet/shower. Hotel nicely decorated. Breakfast was very good but they try to charge for it even though it is described as \"complimentary\". One staff member was rude, others were OK.

Feel at home

Since my second stay in this hotel the staff greets me by name. The family run hotel seems to care about details and the well-being of each guest. The lift was always the biggest draw back but now - surprise - a new lift was installed last month!! Breakfast is no longer included when you book with this site but the charge of 15CHF is very reasonable compared to similar hotels in Geneva. I'd stay in this hotel again if I attend meetings at the CICG or Varambe Conference Center in future.

Very Bad Experience

I booked for 2 adults and 1 boy but in the reservation was written for only 2 adults, because of a problem in the system. They wanted to charge me 50 dollars for the additional person when if I entered to orbitz, the price for 3 people was even less than what I was originally charged. The room was very small, there was not air conditioning and it was extremely hot. They charge 25$ for the parking but they did not have enough parking for their guests. The lift was so small that we had to make several trips with the luggage. For the price we paid USD 207.- it was really not a good value.

I stayed 5 nights and would stay at this hotel again. It's walking distance to the CICG and Varambe Conference center. Bus 5,8 and 3 to city center (with free ticket at check-in for all public transport).
POSITIVE: Spacious rooms, very clean, removable shower head, fast service at breakfast, friendly staff, automated door opener at entrance, gym classes at fitness club includig BodyBalance, sufficient supply of shampoo and shower gel.
NEGATIVE: WiFi in room at extra cost (15 CHF/3h), small shower with curtain instead of glass wall, lift door doesn't open easily on ground floor, tired decor.

Technically, it's a four star hotel. It meets the formal criteria. But it is not luxurious. However, it's very efficient, breakfast isn't bad, and the bus stop is just across the road, so you'll be in the center of town in 10 minutes, courtesy of your free bus pass the hotel will provide you with, and a easy 10 minute walk puts you in front of the United Nations Palais des Nations.

A 70s feel

The hotel presents itself in title and description as particularly close to the United Nations headquarters. This is not true. However, it still has a good location, since it is near the main Geneva station. The guest lobby is small, and the elevator is smaller. Also, there are no clocks there, so if you traveling from another country and staying a night, you could find yourself confused. The door keys are old fashioned and do not feel secure. Finally I was stretched with my head near the rug and found that it smelled unclean. Sorry.

Nice location, friendly people

I made a last minute reservation at the hotel due to a change of plans with flights and trips cancelled due to the volcanic ash disruption. The hotel was reasonably priced, the staff was friendly and helpful (and spoke English), and the room was quite nice. The breakfast was also good, with strong coffee. Due to the circumstances with all the flight disruptions, the staff also said I would be able to stay longer if needed, allowed me to wait in the lobby to check my flight information before calling me a taxi to the airport. Overall a very good experience at the hotel. Only negative was that there was construction going on nearby that started quite early in the morning, so it was a bit noisy.

The location wasn't bad--a walkable distance to main train station and restaurants(we were there on Sun.and everything is closed!). The hotel gives you bus passes for the day ,which is good to visit the lake,etc. The staff were very nice,but of course, not happy by my reaction at not having air-conditioning in our room--very warm and noisy to open window as we were on a main road! That and my husband not being happy at not having hotel parking available were down points,especially for a 4star hotel!

When we arrived to check-in we were given free Tram passes that could be used all day. Hotel staff very friendly and fluent in English. We needed a cab to get to the airport at 4:30am and the front desk set it up and Taxi was waiting for us at 4:25am.

Very nice place to stay. Rooms were clean, although not as spacious as we had expected. But by European standards, it was pretty spacious. It was good to see an antique type elevator. The breakfast service was excellant.
