Friendly staff at historic charm make this hotel by the spree very enjoyable. Fairly quiet, great water, pressure and hot water, comfortable and clean. The elevator was broken when I was there which wasn’t a problem, but if you have a lot of bags carrying them up a couple of flights could be hard. I would stay here again. I really liked it.

Quiet And Convenient Location

A lovely older property with high ceilings and large windows in a quiet residential area beside the river Spree. Conveniently located with a short walk to the Metro station ; roughly a three minute walk and 5 minute train journey to Central Berlin, or a very pleasant 35 minute walk along the river with several bars and cafes along the way. The center of old West Berlin is a 15 minute walk through the Park beside the Zoo. The staff and owners are very friendly and helpful always smiling and happy to help.

A great hotel on a very quiet street next to the Spree. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. My only wish is that they had different bedding. Synthetic sheets make sleeping temperature a challenge for me. I would however highly recommend the place.

Lovely boutique hotel with excellent breakfast.

This boutique hotel is very special, and a wonderful choice in Berlin.
It's in a quiet, residential neighborhood, on the river Spree. It's just a 5-minute walk to the metro.
The staff is fantastic. Extremely helpful, and very accommodating.
The rooms are sparsely but tastefully furnished. The lobby area is comfortable and is a wonderful showcase for art.
Breakfast is terrific, and a great value. Definitely get the breakfast buffet option.

A haven of peace in a not too sophisticated area. Entrance is not the most welcoming but the rooms and facilities are excellent value. Breakfast so good for the cost and always plenty of art to enjoy.

The hotel is modified from an apartment and mix with local residence. Parking is on the street. It is not easy to find a parking spot. The facility is very old. However, it is in a very good location. Closing to all major interesting points and airport. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Great hotel - large modern room in old building

This hotel was great. It’s in an old building with newly remodeled rooms. The traditional high ceilings are very nice. The large room and modern bathrooms are great. The breakfast is great and very reasonably priced. It’s a few minute walk from the Tiergarten S Train Station. Not many restaurants or shops very close by, but it’s a quiet area next to the river.

Lovely hotel with very friendly staff in a central location. The room was modern and comfortable. The hotel has a quirky relaxed style and nice breakfast buffet. There's a train station a 5 minute walk away. There were plug sockets beside the bed which was very convenient. While the bed was very comfortable the pillows are too soft.

The hotel is not very accessible to wheelchairs as there are some steps to the front door.

Ideal location, amazing knowledge of the city

Hansablick Hotel is very well placed - 5 minutes walk from a S-Bahn station which covers 4 lines - all of which are 3 stops from Friedrichstrasse. Room spacious, bathroom perfect. Breakfast excellent and cheap.
Herr Prinz was usually at reception and he took a personal interest in our visits to the Berlin Highlights. He is urbane, speaks perfect English and has a detailed knowledge of where to go in the city - and how to get there. He hugely increased our enjoyment of this amazing city.
The hotel backs onto the river Spree and we had a good evening walk along the river for dinner in the Lanniger restaurant, first class but pricey.

Quiet, scenic location on the river and close to SBahn & UBahn (which has a grocery store). Staff are pleasant and professional. Breakfast offers an abundant of hot and cold options. Larger room is the best - plenty of space including a big bathroom. Perfectly comfortable beds too!
We will definitely stay here on our return to Berlin.

This is a wonderful hotel!

I was in Berlin for a few days on business and picked this place because of location and price. It turned out to be wonderful! The desk staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming, and the breakfast was excellent. It's also a 3-minute walk from the Tiergarten S-bahn stop, which is only 2 stops from the Hauptbahnhof. The only quibble is that it's an old-school hotel made out of either a boarding-house or several floors of converted flats, and you can see the transition has left some telltale signs. But I greatly prefer the homey quality of Hansablick over the more sterile places that seem to be increasing in number in Berlin.

Quaint hotel near city centre and transit

Really liked the hotel room (we had room 404), the lobby, staff, etc. Very enjoyable stay. Right off the river so you can walk along the river. It's a 3 minute walk to the S-Bahn (above ground subway), and 10 min from the U-Bahn (subway). Staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. The lobby and room is full of original artwork and there is a beautiful flower garden outside. The breakfast and breakfast rooms were very nice. They spoke English very well. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Great People and Great Value

This is a smallish boutique hotel in a very quiet neighborhood in Berlin. The structure is older and possibly part of an apartment or condo building, but it's beautifully up dated. It's not a luxury hotel if that's what you're looking for but if you want great value, nice people and a wonderful breakfast, you'll be thrilled you stayed here.
During your visit, don't overlook the spectacular original art that fills the walls in the dining and common areas.
We will definitely come back!

This hotel was just fine, but it is in an out of the way area. It is close to the train, but the restaurants in the area were very limited. They serve an excellent breakfast in the equivalent of a small art gallery. It is a lovely setting.

Not a luxury hotel, but clean, convenient, and comfortable. High value breakfast, comfy beds, high ceilings, and location was awesome. The area was quiet, and allowed us to see much more of Berlin than expected- it was close to river, beautiful park, delicious German restaurant, and very easy to navigate public transportation. Very happy with the hotel and would definitely stay there again if in Berlin!

Extremely nice staff, medium conditions

Living conditions are not exactly overwhelming (windows in ground floor rooms are level with the street, fitness room rather unusable, buffet only cold and -- if you reserve at Expedia -- NOT included in the price), but still it is a nice place to stay thanks to its really good location between the Spree and the Tiergarten. The staff is really outstanding, extremely attentive, helpful and warm.

Wonderful experience!

5 minute walk to Tiergarten train station. This was very convenient as we are from Canada and wanted to use public transportation. Front desk was amazingly helpful and really made our visit special. They provided us with maps and circled our stops. Room was bright, airy and clean. Our room faced an inner courtyard and we could hear the birds chirping get fresh air. Breakfast had good variety and served in an elegant set of rooms. Located beside river canal making for pretty strolls. All in all exceeded expectations. The building itself is of course quite old, so if you want sleek and modern, this is not it. If you love character and lovely people - come here!

Our stay was good in Berlin and in this hotel. From subway station it is bit far but can be reached. The train station Is just 2 minutes walk and the train frequency is very good to city and anywhere in Berlin. You do not have restaurants and pubs near by. It is better to finish the dinner and come as it is in a residential area. The hotel staff and reception are very helpful and hotel is clean and quite. In the bathroom we always had ciggerette smoking smell always and not sure about it. Overall it is good hotel for the price.

Quiet, friendly and arty.

I can't praise this hotel enough. From the large airy room and bathroom, the friendly staff who were always helpful. The breakfast had everything you could ask for, hot meatballs, sausages and scrambled egg. Lots of fresh fruit, cereal, cooked meats and bread. All the food was fresh and plentyful. Drinks of fruit juice, water, teas and coffees all very tasty. Last but not least was the art work, all so stylish, my favourite was Charles and Camilla, I would have loved to take them home with me, I settled for a postcard instead. I will definitely stay here the next time I am in Berlin and I will recommend it to my friends and family.

Very comfortable hotel in great location

Don't be fooled by the 100 year-old building - this is a very nice, very comfortable hotel. The staff couldn't be nicer or more helpful, the breakfasts are delicious, and it's on a quiet street with a great view of the Spree. It's only a 5 minute walk to the main S-Bahn line through Berlin, and you can be in the middle of town in 20 minutes. The rooms have been modernized - the bathroom is clean and up-to-date. Our room had large windows so it was very light, it was large and nicely laid out. All that, and at a very reasonable price!

The S-Bahn line goes direct to most of the places you'd want to visit - Potsdam, the main train station, Friedrich Strasse, the Museum Island - and trains run every 3 minutes or so. We had a Berlin Card, so we had unlimited use of the transit system, so the location was no problem. There's a walking path along the Spree that goes right by the hotel.

Walls in the hallway and stairs of this converted building are not yet finished but rooms are clean and bathrooms are new and excellent. Breakfast is very good by continental standards. Traditional friendly hotel

We chose it after reading various reviews and were not disappointed. We loved the high ceilings and old fashioned style, but slightly quirky feel it had, largely due to all the art in the public areas. Our room was an adequate size, though not large, but because we looked on to the courtyard it was very quiet, and the beds were very comfortable, so we slept well!

We stayed four nights, and had breakfast at the hotel each morning. The choice was excellent and the staff always friendly and helpful.

It is in a quiet area, and while there is not a huge choice of restaurants nearby, we did eat at three different places, all walking distance from the hotel. The train and underground services are a short walk away, and on the first day (when there was a train strike) we did in fact walk all the way to the Brandenburg Gate and further. However, we caught the 100 bus most of the way back!

wonderful place to stay

We greatly enjoyed our eight-day stay in September at the Hansablick Hotel. The purpose of our trip was mainly sightseeing. The building has an old world charm in a residential neighborhood with easy access to the Tiergarten and a beautiful path along the Spree river. Even though the hotel isn't in the central tourist area of Berlin, it is only a few metro stops away from most major locations of interest. The staff was extremely nice and helpful and we were very confortable in our large quiet room. The foyer and breakfast room were tastefully decorated. If we return to Berlin we will definitely return to the Hansablick Hotel.

Het is een mooi hotel. Zeker in de.komende maanden na ons verblijf. De voorgevel stond in de steigers.
Mooi authentiek gebouw, hoge plafonds, ornamenten op plafonds.... en veel kunst. Schilderijen en beelden.
Heel vriendelijke mensen!
Zeker terug wanneer we Berlijn weer bezoeken.
Hotel vlak bij metro station. Helaas verweg van fiets verhuur. Advies Berlijn met de fiets is fantastisch.

Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter. Großartige Lage, ruhig, nur wenige Hundert Meter zum wunderbaren Tiergarten sowie zum S-Bahnhof Tiergartem und U Hansaplatz, von denen aus schlicht alles hervorragend zu erreichen ist. Gut gelegen in Moabit mit seinen vielen kleinen Geheimnissen, Kneipen, Restaurants, Spreeufer und allem, was Berlin einzigartig macht.

Hübsches kleines Familienhotel in ruhiger Ecke und doch citynah. Sehr aufmerksames und zuvorkommendes Personal. Schöne große Zimmer ohne Teppichboden. Sehr gut auch für Allergiker geeignet. Das Zimmer ist für 2 Personen extrem klein gewesen! Dazu ist das hotel extrem in die Jahre gekommen . Dusche undicht , loch in der wand unterm Waschtisch, staub überall.

Was gut gewesen ist war der Service da haben wie Mitarbeiter sich mühe gegeben!

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Hansablick Berlin. The hotel is located very near the metro, which took us to and from the airport. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room as clean and had a great view of the river. The hotel itself is a beautiful old building, with lots of charm and style.

Das Hotel ist ein Altberliner Wohnhaus, dass von außen nicht sehr ansprechend wirkt. Aber sind Sie in den Räumlichkeiten vom Hotel ist es sehr, sehr schön. Das Zimmer wahr sehr groß, hell, nett eingerichtet und sauber. Man kann sich sehr wohl fühlen. Der Service ist phantastisch. Sehr freundliche und nette Mitarbeiter. Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral und man ist schnell von dort in gesamt Berlin unterwegs. Wir werden es sehr gerne weiter empfehlen.

Supertrevlig personal och smakrikt renoverat gammalt hotell, lagom promenadavstånd genom Tiergarten in till Centrum med mysiga uteserveringar på vägen. Rekommenderar starkt att hyra cykel för att ta sig runt på Berlins cykelvägar/gator för att enkelt se alla sevärdheter under en dag.
Vi tog oss till Berlin med bil och även det rekommenderas då det är gratis att parkera på gatan utanför hotellet.

Von außen macht das Hotel nicht viel her. Innen fühlt man sich aber, aufgrund der hohen Decken und des netten Personals, sehr gut aufgehoben. Man kann gut und kostenlos parken und das Hotel liegt Zentral aber ruhig.

Empfehlung! Stilvoll! Aber Instandhaltungsbedarf

Ein Hotel mit dem Charme einer Altbauvilla. Sehr zugewandte Mitarbeitende, gutes Frühstück, interessante Gestaltung der Frühstücksräumlichkeiten mit zeitgenössischer Kunst und geschmackvoll zusammengestelltem Mobiliar, ruhig gelegen, alles zusammen eine \"2 plus\" . Allerdings müsste das Zimmer mal renoviert werden(Parkett), kleine abgenutzte Ecken, teils nicht funktionierende Außenjalousie und Glasschäden beim (Raucher-)Balkon schmälern den guten Eindruck, daher insgesamt nur eine zwei minus.

Maravilha!!!

Hotel tranquilo e receptivo. Ótima opção de transportes ao redor e recepção atenciosa. Excelente área parque ao redor. Um bom local de descanso no final do dia em Berlin.

Hotel molto bello in palazzo d’epoca, comodo alla metro e a 10 minuti a piedi dal centro. A 2 passi dal Tiergarten. Personale cortese e disponibile

Ok til prisen

Til prisen var det et rigtig fint hotel. Lå lidt kedeligt. Der var ingen aircondition, det var 30 grader udenfor.
Nem adgang til Tiergarten.
Om aftenen var der ikke så mange restauranter i nærheden.
Dog kan vi anbefale Teehaus i Tiergarten ikke langt fra og Cafe am Neuensee også i Tiergarten også gåafstand

Ein kleines süßes Hotel mit viel Liebe und Flair

Gute und ruhige Lage in der Nähe des Tiergartens. Freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Gutes Frühstück.S Bahn gut und schnell erreichbar, alles gut, besonders die Biergärten.

Kleines sehr privates Hotel

Sehr gemütliches. komfortables Hotel, sehr sauber, excellentes Frühstück und Service, individuelle Einrichtung in einem Gründerzeithaus mit sehr schönen Frühstücksräumen gespickt mit zeitgenössischer Kunst an den Wänden.
Sehr individuelle Betreuung.
Preis-Leistungsverhältniss nicht besser zu bekommen.

Günstiges citynahes Hotel

Wir waren 5 Tage in Berlin. Wir konnten unser Auto direkt vorm Hotel kostenlos parken und die gute S-Bahn-Anbindung nutzen. Das freundliche und zuvorkommende Personal war jederzeit für uns da. Das saubere Zimmer hat uns gefallen. Das Frühstücksbufett ließ keine Wünsche offen.

Tolle Lage

Tolle Lage, direkt an der S-Bahn Haltestelle Tierarten.
2 Stationen bis zum HBF.
Sehe freundliches Personal und leckeres Frühstück!
Das Hotel ist nicht gerade das neuste aber dafür sehe sauber und in den Zimmern hat man alles was man braucht.
Sehr empfehlenswert!
War ein tolles kurzaufenthalt.
