The Hotel de Koophandel was a favorite of our vacation through the Netherlands. It is a quaint hotel in a fabulous location to the activities of the city. The staff was so friendly and helpful from booking to checking out; they provided a stress free experience.

My first thought when entering the room was that it was a very good size for a solo room and I was very pleased with it.
Then I broke my ankle, and the staff, the owner in particular, rallied around me to take amazing care of me while I waited to be repatriated. They fed me - the breakfast buffet is well stocked and the coffee good. They were very friendly and very patient.
They were going to get a great review anyway, but my circumstances allowed me to experience just how lovely the team is.

Very nice boutique hotel on a square. The pillows were very overstuffed and not comfortable. It should be made more clear that you have to park in a parking garage about 5 minutes away and then walk to the hotel. But the hotel was very nice and a beautiful location.

We had an attic room which allowed you to look at the courtyard below. We arrived on a Sunday and it was such a pleasure watching all the activity happening in the courtyard below. There are stairs, which is common in the Netherlands, so pack accordingly. The breakfast area was nicely decorated. If I am in Delft again, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Hotel de Koophandel is centrally located in the Beestenmarkt and within walking distance of all the main attractions. Despite being so central, I didn’t experience any noise issues from the streets.
The room was large and really comfortable (though it was up a really steep windy staircase so wouldn’t be suitable for less mobile guests).
I would definitely stay here again if I return to Delft.

The hotel is situated in central Delft in a vibrant square full of restaurants and cafes. Silvia was very welcoming. We had booked rooms on the ground floor at the back of the hotel which were quiet. (We had read that the stairs could be challenging)The room was clean and comfortable but a bit dark. The wifi was fast. It would have been nice to have a fridge in the room but Silvia kindly put our wine in the kitchen fridge and provided glasses and plates for us. The breakfast was good.

We chose this hotel as our base in the Nederlands rather than booking a new hotel in each city on our trip. Delft is a beautiful city perfectly located 15 mins between The Hague and Rotterdam, 1 hr from AMS/Schipol, 40 min from Gouda (in fact most of Holland easily accessible within 1 hr). Our triple room was large with 3 single beds (though quite narrow). Hotel feels dated but served us well. Room could do with a small fridge, safe and daily bottled water. Situated in a very busy square full of bars and selection of restaurants but not overly noisy, good atmosphere! Beware very narrow staircase to rooms, almost need to walk up sideways! Check in/out easy, staff friendly and helpful. Recommended!

The only drawback was being asked to commit to breakfast, without being informed of the price, which was a bit higher than expected at checkout. (The breakfast is very good, so have no complaints about that service; I only wish I had been informed ahead of time.)

Great spot in the centre of Delft. Reception was very friendly and efficient even though they were busy. Our room overlooking the market place was large and comfortable - might be a little noisy for us early bedders when the weather is better and more people are sitting out. However we would request a quieter room at the back when returning. Breakfast was lovely, very good quality and plentiful.

My wife and I had an excellent stay at the Hotel de Koophandel! Located right on one of the major squares in Deft, the hotel is very accessible to all of the major sites, as well as the main train station. All of the hotel staff were really accommodating and provided helpful recommendations for local restaurants and for exploring the area. The room itself was clean and comfortable, and the decor emphasizing the city’s connection with Vermeer added a nice touch. An extensive continental breakfast could be added for a small additional charge and was well worth it. One consideration for those choosing to stay here is that there is no elevator and the stairs could be a bit steep for some to climb. Also, Delft is a college town, and the square where the hotel is located is home to a number of restaurants that attract those looking to have a late night drink, which we found to be the case even on a Monday evening. Although by no means overwhelming, this may result in the room being a bit noisier than expected given the overall quaint vibe of the city. That being said, as a self proclaimed light sleeper, I had no trouble falling asleep. Overall, my wife and I would definitely stay here again when we return to Delft and think it’s a a fantastic home base for exploring the southern Netherlands!!

The hotel is wonderfully located in the vibrant Beestenmarkt square. It is an attractive old building, generally well furnished and interesting.
Our room was comfortable with all the necessary facilities although had a slightly dated feel - eg. polystyrene ceiling tiles. The airconditioning was welcome as the room was on the top floor and quite warm.

My dad and I found this wonderful hotel on a nice little square in Delft about a 10 minute walk from the train station. The new owner checked us in and she was so friendly and helpful. The whole place was lovely with artwork and pieces of Delftware decorating the hallways, rooms, and breakfast area. I highly recommend stayinf here.

I am so happy I decided to spend in Delft the remaining 2 days of our Netherlands week trip. I did a small research before I book it. The town is wonderful! So clean, green, quiet and romantic. It looks even better \"in live\" than the colourful pictures one can find in Google.
The hotel is located at the center of the town life, next to a shady garden. The rooms are perfectly clean, comfortable and spacious, coffee machine and capsules are available, luxury soap, shampoo and shower gel by the well known Dutch brand.

The hotel is located at the center of the town life, next to a shady garden. The rooms are perfectly clean, comfortable and spacious, coffee machine and capsules are available, luxury soap, shampoo and shower gel by the well known Dutch brand.

We stayed at the hotel for the night. The hotel was great, special and inspiring from all the artwork in it. Its location is great, on the main square and full of restaurants. It should be added that the hotel does not have an elevator and there are many stairs.

Lovely little hotel in Beestenmarkt Square. We visited in November when Delft was quiet And of course no one was sitting at the cafe tables in the square. Not sure what it would be like in the warmer months.

Very charming hotel at a central location in an old town square. The hotel is full of Vermeer reproductions, which gives it a nice atmosphere. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was very helpful. Overall a very nice hotel that I would be happy to recommend.

The location is excellent, right on the Beestenmarkt which has tons of cafes, bars, and restaurants. It's walking distance to everything in the old center of Delft, the newer shopping area to the south, and quick access to the university. The hotel was quiet, well kept, with a great breakfast. The manager was very helpful with all of my questions.

Lovely hotel in the centre of Beestenmarkt in Delft. Excellent location, close to churches, wonderful restaurants, and shops. It should be noted that hotel does not have an elevator to the second and third floors however the staff offered to help with our luggage. This did not impact our experience at all. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel. Clean. Helpful staff. Let me check in much earlier than expected. Good location. It sits right on a fairly main square - which I suspect might get a little noisy at time, but I had asked for a quiet room (a request which they made note of & were happy to honor the request) so it i didn't have any problem with the noise. Had tea kettle, fan, & hairdryer available in room. Included breakfast was basic, but nice.

Centrally located, tough parking
This is a very good hotel, family run, in a central location in Delft. The staff is the family, and the hotel is well run, clean, and the breakfast is nice with cereals, fruits, different coffees, breads and such. Very nice. We found the parking a bit difficult, since the lot for the hotel is about a quarter mile away. It is illegal to park near the hotel, and you cannot drive up to the door on the weekends. So, you will need to schlep your luggage from a distance, unless you are not driving a car, or are driving, but during the weekday, when you can drop your stuff off at the door. But, you are still going to have to leave your car some good walking distance away, at the underground garage. Be aware, also, that this hotel does not have an elevator. We had a room on the third floor that was very nice, good size room, and large bathroom, all well appointed and comfortable, but had to walk up the stairs to get to it. They will help you get your luggage to and from your room, if you ask for assistance.

Great location, friendly staff. Good breakfast was included in our price. Had to haul two heavy suitcases up two flights of narrow stairs, but the biggest problem was how noisy the hotel location is. Our room was above the \"Billy Beer\" Bar and the door slamming rattled the room constantly. Also, the hotel is on a square with many bars/restaurants that produced the enevitable drunks on Friday and Saturday night that we could hear through the closed Windows.

Quiet and sweet hotel near everything
This is a very sweet hotel in a fantastic neighborhood! It is situated on a square with lots of cute shops and cafes. It is also within walking distance to the train station with major train routes. It was also THE QUIETEST hotel I have every stayed in! I found the staff to be very forthcoming with ideas for dinner and attractions. The wifi was consistently strong which helped me stay productive on my trip (it even supported a video skype call). I would stay there again and consider bringing my family! My only complaint was that the mattresses could have been a bit more comfortable.

Fabulous Hotel!
This was the second time we have stayed at this hotel. It is a lovely hotel, very clean and cozy. The breakfast buffet is one of the best we have had. Staff is friendly and professional, offering suggestions and directions to historic sites. We rented their bikes and had a great couple of days getting to know Delft a little better. We especially like the corner room overlooking the Beestemarkt, a lively square with many great restaurants. We can't wait to return to the Koophandel!

Convenient to the Oude Markt
We were traveling by rental car and had forgotten the method of getting the road blocks lowered (there is an access system mounted on a silver post just ahead of the blocking pillars to contact the controller), so we managed to park on the side of the canal 1 block away from Beest Markt and hauled our suitcases in over the cobbled street.
Everything about the hotel was very pleasant save two things: we did not find the ventilation fan (in the closet) until the last day - this would have been useful to circulate the air in the room, and Friday night in the Beest Markt is full of dinners and revelers until about 3:00 am.
Nevertheless we would return and recommend it to friends. The staff were superb!
