The room was not properly cleaned before we checked in. We found a quaterly-filled beer bottle in the wardrobe on our first night and on our last night, we discovered a brown stain on the part of the duvet at the end of the bed. It's hard to believe that housekeeping did not notice it while changing the duvet covers. We reported it to the front desk and they apologised. They gave us a single duvet and sheet to make do for the night.
Also, most of their towels are so worn-out/thin which I believe should be retired. Management should pay attention to housekeeping and the cleanliness of the rooms.
Aside that, their breakfast is very good and healthy. The staff are very helpful and friendly; commendable.
They've also got lots of free parking.

The room is old and not very clean. The walls are not sound proof at all. We could hear people talking in their room next to us. What's worse, on the second night, the people in the room next to us had party and played loud music for the entire night. We could barely sleep.

Good for an overnight stay

Booked the hotel for an overnight stay to break the journey after the crossing to Hoek Van Holland. A typical modern hotel, comfortable, but somewhat impersonal. The restaurant was closed for renovation, but we had ample warning of this fact beforehand. However, breakfast was served, and was ample and tasty.
The only criticism is that it took three attempts to convince the hotel receptionists that we had paid for breakfast. The payment had been overlooked by the hotel's admin. However, everything was sorted in the end.

Close to the Centre of Delft it was certainly convenient to walk there via the cycleway/walkway. Also very close to Delftse Hout where I went running.
My room was excellent, A very comfortable King Bed, and great bathroom. Large TV, good internet connection - In short all a traveller could want. Free parking and restaurant (I didn't use) onsite. A bit pricey but good for Holland. Definite recommendation.

Main bed was great, shower was good. Third bed was a little less comfortable but slept good on it. Check In was quick and efficient. Overall very happy.

The hotel is located close to a highway onramp that leads to most of the required highways to get around. As my son is on the spectrum, quiet sleep, a bath, and darkness were part of my requirements. These were all met and more. The people at the desk were extremely attentive and my son felt welcome and at home. It made my stay so much better. If you care about having a smart tv or things like that, you will not have them at this hotel but they do have free wifi and the parking was great.

Overall the room was very dirty. The floors, walls and chair was visibly soiled. One of the bath towels was old and tattered. It's safe did not work. The room was very dated and in need of remodeling. The location was good and we were able to walk to Delft using back roads.

This is a good 3 stars hotel... 3 stars, not 4. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was old and worn out. Bed sheets didn’t seem fresh and were full of dust, in fact dust was the motto of my room. Bathroom was not clean, I cleaned the sink myself. Their bath towels were at least 10 years old. In 4 nights there, 2 towels had large holes in it. Won’t be my choice for my next trip to Rijswijk.

The staff were so incredibly kind and helpful! If my overall review was based solely on my experience with staff, it would certainly be a 5 star review. There were a few significant things that made the stay less than awesome, however.

The bed was honestly the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in my entire life. On night 2 I barely got more than an hour of sleep and debated whether it would have more comfortable to just sleep on the floor. Imagine concrete with metal wires woven in and that's still a slight more comfortable than that darn bed.

The walls are paper thin so every noise was easily heard from the adjacent room but easily solved with earplugs.

There was no outlet near the bed to charge my phone which was slightly inconvenient but not the end of the world.

And finally, the hairdryer was a joke. The remote for the TV was 2x larger than the hairdryer. If I had stayed longer, I would have gone out and purchased my own.

The property exterior looks new, but the interior is old. The hallway carpeting is worn and dated. On all floors, it is quite a walk to get to the rooms. You have to go through a long hallway to get to another long hallway. It is very well suited for meetings and conventions, but not so much for regular travelers.

The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, very close to a mortaway and only 10 minutes by taxi to the city center of Delft.
The bed was super comfortable and I slept very well, regardless of being closed to a mortuary you can hear no noise, windows and all are very insulated.
The bathroom was disappointed the bath is was very small and I couldn’t get in it comfortable to have a bath. The shower head was loose and splashed water everywhere because of the presser. If the shower head was in good condition that would have been perfect in regardless of small bath, but it was a shame.
Not enough shower gel for a couple so glad I had some spare in my bag.
The restaurant in the hotel is Chinese, which had a great waiter who was very nice, however I’m not too keen in Chinese food. My starter was great, however my main was very disappointed.
There is a nice bar and sitting area in the hotel lobby, however you couldn’t make a conversation because it was only Chinese people about. I believe the hotel is focusing in only Chinese guests and forgetting about the rest of the world. Despite of having a great night of sleeping I would not stay there again, it didn’t work form me.
The people on reception was very helpful, we arrived a bit earlier than expected and they were very keen to let us park our car in the car park and called a taxi for us.

Very nice Hotel with (unsurprisingly) a Chinese theme to it, just a 5 minute drive from Delft.

Hotel was very clean and quiet, the staff were warm and welcoming and very helpful.
Room was an excellent size and spotlessly clean, the bed was huge and very comfortable.

We were away very early during our stay, so didn't really have opportunity to try the breakfasts out, but from what we saw, it looked very good.

If you are visiting Delft either for pleasure or on business this is very conveniently located.

Just over a mile to the centre of Delft (25 minutes stroll). A pleasant walk and you're in the centre. Well worth the effort.

Cracked walls in room- was so scared that they would charge although not my fault because they wanted to charge additional for room because they wanted to charge additional for everything. Room service provided wrong items and staff unwilling to help past 11pm. Lack of staff. Staff tried to collect money again on check out although paid online already and accused that I have booked more rooms. misleading additional cost- although booked as taxes and fees included- more tax has to be paid - city tax.

We stayed for two nights and loved the idea that our room was part of a house that dated to the 1500's!
The slanted ceiling in the room was a bit of a problem for my husband, but, worth it.
Very do-able walk to the center of town.
We took the boat tour offered by the hotel. It is a lot pricier than tours offered in the city, but, the boat was deluxe and beautiful...captain was entertaining. One thing that would make it more enjoyable....why can't they offer a complimentary drink from the bar on the boat? Really, how much would that cost them and it would be a nice touch and thank you for paying 38 euros each!

Nice hotel but a bit far from city center

If you have a car, I think it is one of the pleasant hotels in Delft. The rooms are comfortable and clean. I like it although it is a bit far from the city center. If you do not have a car, then you need to take a bus to go to the city center. The bus stop is closed to the hotel - 4 or 5 minute walking. However, when it is dark, it is not the best place to walk.. It is a bit desolate... since i believe delft is one of the safest place in the Netherlands, i was not worried a lot.

The staff in the Chinese Resturant 😠😠😠

The staff in this Chinese Resturant need some training in serving and greeting poeple.
The man who seemed to be a manager was more comfortable with Chinese clients than others and came across as rude .

The breakfast Resturant was running out of food and had to wait for them to cook more food !!!!!
The receciptionists were very helpful .
The hotel location is relatively remote and you Need a car to get to anwhere.

A true Chinese hotel in the Netherlands

We needed a place to stay one night close to the autobahn. We selected this hotel after having lived 10 years in Shanghai & 15 in China. Truly a copy/paste of a Shanghainese 4-start hotel. I think they may have prefabbed the building before bringing it in for construction.

Great find!

Great stop off on the way down to the south of the Netherlands. As it is just off the motorway it is easy to find and has free parking which is a huge plus point (parking is expensive in the towns). The receptionist was really helpful with all my questions about visiting Delft. It's easy to get the number 60 bus from the petrol station for 2€10. The hotel is spotless and my room very comfortable. Would definitely stay again!

Perfect hotel to visit Delft

The suite we were upgraded to was amazing, very large and luxurious. Only \"buts\" were the lack of a thermostat and wifi in the room (it worked outside on the corridor). The hotel is 10 min by car from Delft city centre so a perfect place if you have a car and want to visit (they have a large free parking on site).

Overnight stop only. Hotel a good 2km from the centre and is in a Business Park type setting. Walk into town was through some not very pleasant areas but town is beatiful. Hotel itself is very good, clean and tidy. Did not eat there. McDonalds about 100m away!

Comfortable Hotel but Small Email Problem.

Very nice hotel a short walk from Delft City Center. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly and helpful. Lots to eat at breakfast.

Only frustration was we could not Send from Gmail with iPad, but receive only. So far in our European trip this was the only hotel that had this email problem. Hotel claimed it was Gmail, but research showed not. Email cleared up at next hotel.

If you need to send Gmail then test connection before check-in, or use web based email.

On the plus side the hotel is well situated just off the motorway with easy access to Den Haag, Rotterdam and Delft. Parking is free. A big plus in Delft where parking is expensive and other than undercover parks all car parks now take card only and non Dutch cards are not accepted. The rooms were spacious and well appointed.
The hotel is let down by poor management. Other than reception staff most staff appear to speak no or little Dutch and certainly not English. This meant requests were rarely fulfilled. We ate in the Restaurant once. This was a pity since the food was good. But trying to explain we had the wrong dish was just too bothersome. Staff were scarce and we gave up on pudding, coffee and extra drinks. We travelled over an Easter holiday. The hotel was grossly understaffed and those staff on Duty were disorganised.; Breakfast came with a choice of no plates, no food or both. There is no excuse for a hotel running out of plates. They know how many people are booked in.
Housekeeping was a disaster. In a 6 day stay we had no change of bed linen. Bed making comprised pulling the duvet cover over only. Sometimes we had a full compliment of towels sometimes towels were removed and not replaced. The curtains were hanging down in the room. I gave up asking for them to be re-hung. I heard reception staff speak to housekeeping but no result ensued. We travel to Delft regularly as we have a son at university there this is the only disappointing hotel we have stayed in.

As long as you realize that you are not close to anything, you are all right. If you have a car - no problem. Public transportation is a little different. Bus stop not too bad, trtam stop quite far. There are no restaurants in the area other than a Chinese restaurant in the hotel (which was closed for a private event when we were there) and a McDonald's a couple of blocks away - that's it.

Not really suitable for families!!

We booked this hotel for a family of 4 through Expedia for 1 night as an overnight stay on route to our family holiday. On arrival we were greeted with ' oh you have children' we were advised that although we had booked a family room they didn't cater for families! A lot of talk was in Dutch and having just arrived was a little unnearved that we'd have nowhere to sleep! To be fair the hotel staff upgraded our room to a suite to accommodate us but my 5 year old twins had to sleep in the same single bed and we had to make it ourselves! They knew this was an issue with Expedia before we arrived and to me they should have known in advance families had booked through Expedia and solved the problem before we arrived or Expedia should have offered us alternative accommodation! So if you are a family looking at this hotel I would look elsewhere! Otherwise the rooms are lovely and clean and breakfast was good too!

Nice place to stay!

We were scared off by a few people about staying here (apparently it's bad to be next to a McDonalds!) but it was perfectly pleasant and clean and the staff were all nice. The town centre is a comfortable 15 minutes walk or you can hire a bike). Deflt is lovely to walk around in. We were there for business for a short time and this hotel suited us just fine. And we went to McDonalds for breakfast in the morning.

A Chinese hotel with a very Chinese flavour

If you are looking for a piece of China in Delft this is the place for you. It is clean, well maintained but strangely lacking in atmosphere. I stayed on a Monday night - maybe the weekends are better. Tucked down a side street in a light industrial area the neighbourhood is quiet but uninspiring. The restaurant serves Dim Sung and some other Chinese specialities. Very nice!

Stayed with my family in a suite. I could have sworn the review stated their was a pull out sofa bed, but this was not true. However, we were provided with a single roll away at no charge. Reception did notice a mistake in my billing, saved me almost 100 Euro! Thank you!

Room was ok, but looked well worn. Carpet was stained, coffee station in room was dirty. Hot water pot covered in hard water stains. Rollaway bed was not comfortable at all, you felt every spring. Main bed felt flat, and a bit hard. Under the bed was trash such a bottle caps and wrappers. Our view was onto the roof where there was an area that looked like it was for smokers to hide, covered in butts and wrappers.

Saturday night was extremely loud due to a private party, not good when you have young kids. When we enquired about the volume, we were given a 'what can we do?' type response. The bass was turned up so much that I felt the party was in my room, when it was actually one floor below. Reception told me the party would last till 11pm, which was actually midnight. Afterwards, party goers were extremely loud, banging on walls and yelling in the halls.

The breakfast hall was satisfactory, but food was slow to be replenished. Good variety of offerings, if you were one of the firsts to get to it. There were many empty serving trays.

Disappointing Standard for a 4 Star Hotel

I stayed 3 nights in March. The hotel is not close to the centre of Delft, but ok if you're driving. My stay was ok, but the standard is disappointing for a 4 star hotel. My room had large windows which made the room very warm in the sun. There was air conditioning, but it looked like it was added after the original build and was struggling to keep the room cool. I wouldn't like to stay there in the middle of summer. The mattress of the bed was of poor quality and very hard. Bedding and pillows was of disappointing quality for a hotel of this standard. The bedside lamps were loose on both sides of the bed, so couldn't be adjusted for reading. The general ventilation in the room and bathroom was quite noisy so I was happy that I had earplugs that I could use when sleeping. There was a flat screen TV with a set top box, so you operated it with 2 remotes. Not a problem, but it just doen't give the impression of staying in a high quality hotel, especially when one of the remotes have the battery cover missing. The hotel doen't have any gym or spa facilities which I would expect of a 4 start hotel. You can use the facilities of a gym next door, but you're charged for doing so. The cooked breakfast buffet was too cold and poor quality. None of these things are very big problems, but it didn't give the feeling of staying in a 4 start hotel. I've stayed in a lot of 4 star hotels and this one was certainly well below the standard of most of them.

Comfy and very chinese

I booked this as we were seeing The Hague and it was cheaper to stay in Delft (very close if you are driving, as we were).
The rooms are very comfortable but mine had a stain on the carpet. The toilet roll holder has an ashtray built into it although the whole hotel is non smoking and a card in the room warns you they will charge €150 if you smoke in the room. There's a covered smoking area with comfortable furniture so if you do smoke you could go there. Above the smoker's toilet roll holderthere is a telephone jack!
Lots of marble etc but could do with new carpets. The highlight was the restaurant which served amazing chinese food although translation of dishes was hit and miss on the menu. Could see chinese locals frequent the restaurant so it must be ok.
Overall comfy and clean. Very happy but if you want to wow someone look elsewhere as it's a bit tired.
Also parking was free which is a real bonus.

Good value but out of town

Without a hire car, this hotel would be difficult to use, becaujse it is a turning off the motorway out of town. But once there it is spacious clean and comfortable. The list price would be rather too high, but the rate I had from Hotels.com was very attractive.

The hotel, our room, the staff and overall ambience were excellent. Having on site parking was ideal and being close to the motorway meant were were easily able to access other nearby locations quaickly and easily as well as returning to the hotel. The only niggle we had was the restaurant. It was said to be a buffet dinner but it turned out to be table service and with menu in dutch and chinese we were unable to make an informed choice. Also the cjoice was limited and not suitable to all tastes.

Hotel with Chinese restaurant

The hotel is good value for money. There is a good Chinese restaurant in it. The Chinese food is genuine Chinese and professionally cooked. It is little far from Delft town centre. It charges for internet, but not expensive. Surprisingly, almost everything is made in China, even toilet paper.

Great Hotel if you don't want to go into the town

This hotel is really a very well-designed, we-appointed hotel, very new and clean. The rooms are spacious and nicely designed. If you are just getting off the highway and staying the night, you're in good shape. We did not eat dinner at the Asian-themed restaurant, but the food smelled good. If you want to see Delft, you'll have to get back on the highway, go into the town and park in the central garage, and then find your way back to the hotel. I'm a walker, and I couldn't figure out how to walk from this place into town. So I drove in and parked at a central garage (if there was any nonresidential street parking available, we did not find it, so just GO TO THE PARKING GARAGE, which is a hassle if you aren't familiar with the territory or how European parking garages work. (It was our first European parking garage on this trip and you have to learn sometime.) I was put off by the fact that the hotel wifi was not working well, and the solution I got from the front desk is to come to the lobby and use the wifi there. They claimed to be getting an upgraded wifi system soon, but it was a major disappointment in what was otherwise a nice hotel. The breakfast (extra charge) was very good, lots of variety, and the dining room remarkably nice. NOTE: Most European hotels have a pricey breakfast (15-20 E), but our strategy was to have a big breakfast at the hotel and skip lunch.

Awful experience

The airconditioning in the hotel was very cold and when we complained we were told nothing could be done to improve the situation. There were no Managers available on site to explain the situation and we have still not had a satisfactory answer to why is it acceptable to let your customers be cold in a four star hotel. We will never go to another Shanghai Hotel and would never recommend them. We would like to give this hotel a '0' rating.

Strange but good value!

One of the strangest experiences of a hotel in Holland to date....and I have stayed in many hotels in Holland! This hotel would appear to have been shipped piece by piece to Holland.....even the chromed toilet roll holders in the rooms are Chinese!...Not sure if the large Chinese Cash and Carry at the bottom of the street has any connection....but I digress. The hotel was easy to find locate within a business park location. The Reception staff person was a little slow but plesant enough.My room was on the 5th floor which had air conditioning, clean and nicely furnished,.My colleague's room was on the third and had no air con.. There was a big difference on how we enjoyed our stays....thank God for A/C!.....Breakfast was ok, but strange!....Getting onto the free Wifi was challenging, ....Didn't eat in the hotel in the evening ....there is a French hotel chain in the same street and they do good value evening meals and good beer too! My stay was not the worst hotel I have stayed in comfort wise or quality fo room, but unsure if I would recommend it. If you were Chinese or had travelled in there on business then you may feel very much at home.

The hotel was really excellent and is like a 5 star hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was very good value for money. However, it is not very near to Delft centre (about a 40 minute walk) and the hotel itself is on an industrial estate.

This hotel is amazing value for money, you would pay much more for a hotel of lesser quality. We loved the informal atomsphere but professional attitude of all the staff we dealt with. Ideal for visitng Delft or Clingendaal, Madurodam or the beach which are all close by

The hotel was nice BUT the hotel had booked a party, with a very loud band, in the bar, that shook the entire hotel until 2:00am. It was unbelievable that a hotel, whose purpose is to provide travellers with a place to rest, can't understand that scheduling BOOM, BOOM, BOOM all night is inappropriate and unexeceptable.

Great value for the price.

Great rooms, huge bed, empty fridge for your drinks and very friendly staff. not too far from Delft centre. about €13 in a taxi. only downside was no air con in the rooms, which normally wouldn't be a problem but the windows only opened a tiny bit. as a result the rooms became very stuffy.
