My stay at the Hampshire Hotel in Delft was mixed. The location is convenient, but parking is very difficult, which adds some frustration if you’re traveling by car.

The staff were inconsistent — some were friendly and helpful, while others seemed less attentive, so service really depended on who you dealt with. The rooms themselves were quite small and felt dated, both in design and amenities, and could benefit from an update to match modern expectations.

Overall, the hotel works if you need a basic place to stay, but it leaves you wanting more in terms of comfort and consistency.

We had a very enjoyable stay in Delft and the property is an easy walk from the beautiful pedestrianised town centre. There's also an easy bus to/from the station, which helped when we had our luggage with us.

Our room was splendid and had a great view (Deluxe) and the staff were helpful and efficient.

Breakfast was good value and there were plenty of high-quality options.

The hairdryer in the bathroom has an isolating switch on the part mounted to the wall, but it's hard to see as it's black on a black background. This caused some consternation and if it had been made more obvious it would have spared a discussion with the reception. A tiny note but if you've read this far, now you know!

Would stay again without hesitation.

Pretty basic and a bit tired, with an odd music theme in the whole hotel (including the rooms).

Staff were really lovely and very responsive - especially the housekeeping staff who turned the double bed into the twin beds we had booked.

It's fine for a bed for the night but just don't expect nice touches like comfy beds, conditioner, USB sockets or nice lighting.

I'd also give the breakfast a miss. It's poor and there are much nicer options for the same price in the main square.

There was construction on our floor and started early in the morning not allowing our baby to sleep.

As well, we had a crib and they only put it half together, no sheets for the crib. We had to call for sheets and they provided one pilliow case. For the amount we had to pay it was not worth our stay.

Convenient location, less than 10 minutes' walk from the main market square and all of old town. modern hotel featuring live music at times. Clean and quiet. Very good value. I did not take the 14eu breakfast or dine in the restaurant, others said they were good. But--I was never able to adjust the temperature controls to warm the room. OK for sleeping under the duvet, but not warm enough during the evening. Also some of the ceiling spotlights were misdirected and the room was dim to find anything in the dark closet. Minimal toiletries, a small bar of soap and a body wash dispenser in the shower. Check-in/check-out staff were a bit slow, but able to help when I went back for a missing item after checkout. Overall, I would stay there again but not in winter.

My stay was great - it was quite windy though and the doors to the balcony were banging all night as i could not secure them - so i did not sleep very well at all - this is a shame as it is a great hotel in a great location.

Comfortable hotel, average breakfast. Location is bad. Too far away from train station. Delft is a very small city, not much to do. I will suggest to stay in Rotterdam and travel to Hague and Delft. Rotterdam is the main station if you are going to travel to other European countries.

We had an amazing view from our room down the road towards Delft - it was fantastic! Friendly staff, good range of food for breakfast in a lovely environment. Wifi was a bit dodgy higher up the hotel, if that is important to you.

Very good, but a few details need tidying

We had overall a very good stay (2 adults and a toddler), and the staff were impeccably friendly, the room was almost ideal for what we needed, and the upper floors have a stunning view of the city centre and cathedral.
However, there are some details that could really be tidied up:
- the location of the hotel on the map in the hotels.com booking email was completely wrong, it directs you to a house by the canal, whereas the hotel is two blocks away
- the listing on the site says that the hotel offers babysitting - and we phoned before our stay to confirm this, were told that they can arrange it at check-in. However, when we arrived, we were just given a URL to a website (in Dutch) which turned out to be a nursery in a city ~40 km away, so not really very helpful! Fortunately we figured out a work-around independent of this, but it was disappointing given that the advertised babysitting was one of the key reasons we chose the hotel to start with.
- the room given to us as a family room has a shelf under the TV which is almost precisely head-height for a toddler, and has very sharp corners, as our son discovered on multiple occasions. This is held into the wall with big spikes, so we just had to pad it with spare towels and hope he didn't crash into it too often.

Second visit to this lovely hotel after 7 years. Comfortable and convenient on short distance to the centre of the town. Clean and functional rooms but slightly small if you are not solo or a couple. Very good choice for groups and business travellers. This time I would particularly compliment the staff!

Hotel car park used for coaches but you can park overnight until 8 .30. Otherwise you can park in the secure underground car park about 200 m away. There is free parking on a Sunday in the street next to the hotel. We loved Delft!

My family had 2 rooms for one night. Both rooms were very spacious and clean. The hotel is in an excellent location for visiting Delft. The only complaint was that the couch bed/pullout was not comfortable, but they seldom are. Also the parking onsite is odd, in that you have to be out by 8:30am, this was not a problem for us as we were leaving early and there is a public lot close by.

Adequate hotel close to Delft's historic center

WE stayed 2 days. It is a perfectly adequate and functional hotel. They forgot to clean our room yesterday but after a couple reminders it was done, minimally. To be fair, we slept late because it was the end of our trip and we were exhausted, left the room around noon. Today, they sent breakfast for two (cold) to our room, and they did not charge us for it. The staff was always amazingly nice and affable, hard to complain about such upbeat people. Their WiFi is included but you'll have to sign in often. I think if you don't want to overpay, and you are willing to overlook small mishaps, it is a decent place to stay.

We stayed in Delft for a total of 3 nights and enjoyed our stay at the Hampshire Delft Center. Our hotel room overlooked the city and we had a great view of the town center. We didn't partake in breakfast, but we did have coffee from the bar. There is also a parking garage just down the road, parking on the street and you can park at the hotel overnight. There's a short walk into the town center.

Contemporary choice near Delft center.

This modern hotel is very convenient to the sightseeing worthy center of Delft (ten minutes' walk max).Our family room on the eighth floor, room 812,was spacious, but we could only get wifi in one tiny area of the room, near the foot of one corner of the bed! The bed was very good, but the themed room had only two square pillows, an inconvenient size. The breakfast included in our room reservation had a wide variety of choices, including some Dutch specialties in a pleasant dining room. Please note, if driving, use GPS to find the hotel. Parking is available in a public parking garage very nearby. Would recommend this hotel when visiting he city.

Good Location, New Hotel

This was my third visit to Delft, in my previous visits I've stayed in the old town. This hotel is just outside the old town near the \"New Church\" within a comfortable walking distance to all the highlights.
The hotel itself is new. The lobby is bit on the small size, not of great importance for me.
My room was on 8th floor, with a view of the cathedral, good one!
The bath was comfortable and spacious. The room is equipped with a Nestle espresso machine, which for me makes a difference.
All in all recommended for a short business trip or leisure (but I presume that all visits to Delft are short as it is a smal place).

This hotel was easy to find, there is 24 hour public parking across the street, and the center of Delft is a very short walk away. Our room on the 8th floor was clean and quiet. The staff were pleasant, spoke lovely English, and were helpful. We had a little trouble getting the shower doors to close all the way, but managed to do it. Breakfast was a real plus. Good variety of tasty food and the bacon was excellent!

Delft-amsterdam's nice bits with a 4 month old

5 out of 5. Very good restaurant. Excellent location and when they ever open the station there is a direct bus to right outside. We had a large room with a balcony and they even went to the effort of putting a blanket on the bench there.it's also covered if raining. The baby cot was set up in our room with an appropriate mattress (14 euros for duration in delft not free like Amsterdam). The only tiny thing we didn't realise was that our room was shower only and no bath which didn't bother our 4 month old at all

We experienced some issues and we believe that the management of this Hampshire hotel did not excel in services. We requested a 'King' bed and was told that there were additional cost for this request although room size of 2 single beds and king was the same.
The room was covered by a blanket of dust, window was dirty and covered with handprints. When informed to the receptionist she offered another room. She showed me another room which was also dusty & with dirty window, so we kept the first room. When we wanted to switch on the standing lamp this did not work as the plug connection was not functioning. This is reported to the receptionist, she could not help us further as other plug connections are used. We refused to pay the extra charge for a 'king ' bed which was accepted after we itinerated the issues we had to the manager the next morning.
We wondered why initially additional cost was required for a 'King' bed as in other hotels they never charge for a king bed.
Upon our request for late check-out until 3 p.m., we only may stay in the room only until 1 p.m. although the hotel was half empty.
The 'King' bed was comfortable and actually the best for all the hotels we stayed in Delft. Convenient location as it takes a nice walk to the city.
As usual in Holland breakfast is poor, canned fruit, flaccid bread, prepackaged jam in plastics etc. The Dutch should copy breakfast from the Germans with their crusty breads and homemade jam.
