Good location in the old city. Plenty of options to walk to. Large, clean rooms. Quiet hotel. I would stay here again when next in Delft. PS- go see the windmill when in town. 15 min walk and it’s a real working windmill.

Hotel is in great central location. Also an easy 15 minute walk from the train station. Breakfast buffet was very good. Our room on the top (2nd) floor was small but clean. The bathroom was huge with a great shower. The room layouts vary considerably as this is an older building. With no elevator I would ask for a room on the lower level next time. Staff was very accommodating including assisting with carrying luggage up the 2 flights of stairs. Overall, glad we stayed here as the hotel does have some local charm at a reasonable cost.

The ground floor room was interesting and very spacious and the court yard very nice. However, people could walk into the hotel from the street and while sitting outside we saw various people walking in to have a peek.
Our second night there was a party in the hotel and there was quite a lot of noise till almost midnight.
When we left, we had to pick up our car from a nearby carpark so wanted to leave the luggage in the hotel to pick up by car. We had to ask them if we could leave in the room as we didn't feel the luggage would have been safe near the entrance, that is open to the public.
The location is wonderful, without doubt.

It was an easy walk from the train station to the hotel. Our room was clean and overlooked the canal. It was a little noisy but nothing extreme so if you're looking for quiet request something in the back. The bed was extremely comfortable after 2 days of exploring Delft and Leiden.

Cute place. Our room was in the roof eaves, very fun. There is no elevator, but the very sweet woman who checked us in carried one of our bags up the stairs. So sweet.

This hotel is perfectly located in a lovely historic area of Delft. Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The location is perfect for strolling, and just a 3-minute walk from very safe underground parking.
My only caution is to request a 1st-floor room if multiple narrow and winding staircases are a concern. Above ground-floor reception are four floors of rooms. We were originally sent to the third floor, but I simply could not navigate beyond the second floor with my suitcase. Happily, the receptionist moved us immediately.

We had an excellent and very comfortable stay here at the Hotel Johannes Vermeer! Our room was as large and comfortable as advertised, with tons of space; the AC worked well and kept us cool even though it was quite hot when we were there. Staff were polite and helpful, and baggage storage both before we checked in and after we checked out was a breeze!
The location was second to none--it was easily accessible from the train station and right on the canal. It was walkable to pretty much every main sight of old Delft (a bit farther from the windmill but that's relative) and yet it was not a loud area, at least in our experience with a room not facing the street. Close to the grocery store, shops, restaurants/food, and the market that pops up on the street nearby. Couldn't have asked for more!

The tub was less clean than anything else--there was some hair and when we used the jet (not the bubbles but stronger jets) function, they jetted out some build up/detritus, showing they aren't used much or cleaned regularly. Our room was on the top floor in the attic and beware as very narrow windy stairs which could be dangerous.
Bed was very uncomfortable and pillows were hard so overall we had 2 nights of poor sleep. Weirdly an electric socket was positioned behind the pillows!! Safety issue I think! There is a net curtain at the window but only covers half the window and you are overlooked by neighbouring building.the curtains are very thin so the light is not blocked out which again does not help with sleeping. The room is very stuffy even with the window open - and mosquitos then come in! Couple of problems in bathroom. The cabinet above sink has a shelf sticking out so if you are bending over the sink you will hit your head on it. The shower tray felt very strange as if will break through at any point - it is very flexible and you could feel the blocks under it was resting on - it was also very slippery and no grab rail in shower.

Had a great stay here! We had booked the family room and were put in a huge courtyard room with 2 bedrooms and a large bathroom and double sink. Perfect for travelling with a family of 4. We used Delft as our base to explore the Netherlands and loved it. 10 minutes walk to the train station and the town is really pretty with lots of choice for restaurants and shopping.

Hotel is sub-standard. Paint peeling off walls. windows with cracks ot open air. Beds are narrow (80cm) and not very comfortable. Room doors have self-closers that make doors slam. None of this helps with a good night's sleep.
Also quite odd -- reception closes at 23:00. So if you arrive late you need to fine another hotel (Best Western) which is about 12 minutes walk away & not easy to fine. And then back, with your luggage. Many people would feel unhappy navigating this route very late at night.

This was our 3rd stay at the Vermeer over 22 years. Our room was spacious and the staff was absolutely tremendous. The room was a bit tired and could use some updating but overall we had a very wonderful stay.

This hotel is really well situated in Delft, in the centre and close to the train station. The room was spacious and well equipped with a coffee machine and toiletries. The view was pleasant over other buildings to the famous church tower. There were some steep steps as it is within an older building. I enjoyed my stay here and would return if I came back to Delft.

Vermeer Expert Loves the Vermeer Hotel!
So,I've seen all the Vermeer paintings in the world. I returned to Delft to revisit the Vermeer Center. The Johannes Vermeer Hotel was first rate, the art work on the walls and in the rooms was a nice touch. You can walk anywhere you need to go in Delft. If you're planning a one night stay in Delft, I would advise you to make it at least two nights and stay at this hotel.

There was an oversight from the staff on how much I have to pay but after showing my printed confirmation from Expedia they adjusted the total bill.. the staff tries hard to help.. there was no hair dryer and still gets warm at night & no air conditioning.

Great hotel, highly recommended! You just need to be prepared for the set(s) of stairs since there is no elevator. It's a great location, lots of things to see and do in Delft. I had a room that was facing the canal and get to watch the ducks and birds everyday...what a beautiful city! Fruit and flower stalls were literally just around the corner and there's a grocery store too. If you're into Indonesian food, look up Toka Idola...it's just a few around the corner. I would love to come back another day.

Beautiful small hotel but know that there is NOT an elevator and the rooms are up multiple flights of stairs. Small narrow stairs. A very nice breakfast is included and there is a bar in the hotel. I love this town, I was sad that I only got to stay one night. Very low key and beautiful canals and city center. I would definitely stay here and visit this town again. The room has an air conditioner and hot shower. The fold out bed, if needed, would have been uncomfortable but our bed was fine.

We stayed here for 2 days over Kings Night and Day, to see Delft and also to visit the Keukenhof. Very nicely located in the centre of town, with lovely character and pleasant helpful staff.
As an older building it has character but still manages up to date facilities. Our room was very nice, and had views over the surrounding area. There are a number of comfortable seating areas both inside and out to relax and enjoy a drink.
Breakfast was very nice with a good fresh choice, and on the day we left early a packed breakfast was prepared for us.
Car parking was fairly easy in a local multi storey about 200m away.
I would recommend this hotel and would certainly use it again, in fact we intend to return to Delft so will very likely stay here once more.

The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the train station, and just a few minutes away from the town center. It sits along a canal and has a pleasant outdoor seating area on the canal where you can get a drink or eat. The staff are very friendly. A breakfast buffet is included, and features eggs, bacon, sausage, cereals, fresh breads, and pastries. The rooms are clean but compact.

Wery nice hotel. Good breakfast, short walk to the old city, Originally we decided to stay in Delft and take trips to the surrounding by car. Short drive to Haag, Sceveningen and Rotterdam. Rooms had names according to Vermeer's paintings. Breakfast was good, big picture of the Girl with a pearl earring painted to the wall of the breakfast room. Staff very friendly.

Excellent location and staff, decent quality of the Internet connection, the breakfast selection isn't very rich but the food quality is great, a very nice stay overall. The lack of elevator wasn't a problem for us but may be an inconvenience in some cases. Took us some time to find the hotel as the \"Hotel Johannes Vermeer\" can be found only on the entrance door in a 2 cm font, smile. And Delft is absolutely charming, though have to mention that we were lucky with the weather.

I found the the hotel to be comfortable. It's not a flashy hotel but it doesn't need to be the staff are very good and helpful. The only negative if you could call it that is there isn't a lift and the stairs are a bit steep. All in all i had a pleasant stay at this hotel and would stay here again in the future.

We had a family room. 1 queen bed and 2 twin beds. All was nice in the hotel but the stairs were really steep. Even if we stayed just one night as we had been travelling for 2 weeks, we had 4 bags so the steps were quite a challenge.

Delightfully close walking to main attractions in Delft. Refreshing to have an A/C after missing the feature in what turned out to be a warm Norway. Breakfast a let down after Norway but still much better than your typical motel \"breakfast included\". Only drawback was lack of coffee pot for refills, only one cup of espresso. Good use of older building although walls a bit thin and toilet hung on wall creaked with usuage, a bit unsettling. Otherwise a good hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Vermeer! The hotel was clean and breakfast was good, and it was located within the city centre, walking distance from the Oude and Nieuwe Kerks and City Hall with no lack of shops and restaurants. There were also many ducks in the canal in front of the hotel, even in winter, which was a real treat!

Great stay at a wonderful hotel
The hotel was gorgeous, staff amazing, and location perfect. We would come back in a heartbeat. The rooms are not \"fancy\" but the beds were super comfortable and the common areas are exceptionally well done. We just loved the breakfast/bar area and spent every moment we could in front of the hotel next to the water.

Hotel is in a lovely old building convenient for walking to the main squares, sights and restaurants. They serve a good breakfast buffet in a charming setting. Our room was small but clean and comfortable for sleeping but not much else. The bad part was that we had to climb 56 steps, many around sharp turns to get to the room. It was a difficult climb especially with luggage.

I made Delft my base for visiting The Hague, and Delft museums and sites. I stayed two nights at the hotel in one of the rooms on the third floor. It very comfortable and clean, excellent free WiFi, and perfectly adequate breakfast. Easy walk from train and into all the sites of town. Very helpful staff.

It was a very pleasant stay at this small canal side hotel with warm greetings and kind help from the staffs. As the hotel title implies, the work of art from the great Dutch painter Vermeer is around every corner, which certainly makes this hotel elegant. Breakfast with warm food and fresh coffee was a good bonus. Its location is fantastic for travelers who pursue the taste of an old European town. The majority of the popular spots are just a few steps away. One downside I would think would be access from the Station particularly for travelers who carry large baggage. It would be not easy to lug the baggage unless jumping on a cab. Even four in line wheels will be hindered when navigating the old brick roads all the way to the hotel.It is just about 10 min. walk, but the cab fare used to cost around 13 Euros. I would never imagine my self staying in other places when traveling to Delft.

This hotel is surprisingly large, light, airy and spacious once inside and on the upper level. The room we had was large and light and comfortable with period-style furniture. It had a safe and too much storage space for two nights stay (unless you are Imelda Marcos).
The hotel has a large tiled sign above it that says something like: 'Sigaretten'. I think this is a relic from its past but is misleading when you are looking for the hotel by name.
