Our group really enjoyed the spa facilities. Wonderful pools & saunas. The location next to the Baltic was amazing. We visited both the public & private docks to jump into the sea water. Restaurant food was excellent. However, while the hotel was very nice, they do not have air conditioning. Rooms were very warm. Staff did supply a fan but an investment in HVAC should be considered.

Great stay for relaxation

My wife and I had a great stay. We got lucky and were able to check in earlier. The spa and saunas are wonderful. They had some hydro jets in certain areas as well as dry and wet saunas. Cold plunge and jacuzzi outside. Breakfast was delicious as well as snacks we got for lunch and dinner. Just a wonderful place to stay if you are staying in the hotel for the day to enjoy the amenities.

This was a lovely place to come and relax. I misunderstood when booking as it indicated that guests had access to the spa, but didn’t state that there is a daily charge. Luckily we had opted for evening spa access as part of our booking, but this is when you would have dinner so unless you eat very early you can’t make full use of it.. Both the restaurant and bar area were lovely but limited menu in each. The whole place was immaculate, and staff were friendly and helpful. The small private beach was beautiful.

What a great place; very sadly our lovely stay was cut short due to our flight home being cancelled, but we absolutely loved Kurshotel Skodsburg and will definitely return! It was recommended in a review in the Sunday Times so I am very glad that review was made as Im not sure we would have found the hotel otherwise. It was the perfect antidote to city-busy; loved the seaside location, the staff were impeccably polite and helpful, just lovely staff both at reception, in the bar and in the spa. Our room was huge and the spa was to die for. Loved the cool and fresh outdoor spaces as we sat outside on a lovely warm evening. What a place! Cant wait to return. Oh - and the breakfast was second to none. Delicious.

The mansion is nice but getting outdated. The spa was disappointing, several of the sauna were not on and bathing suits are required. The gym is very small and poorly ventilated, windows open is the technique. There is only one restaurant with limited choices and there is nothing to do in the area.

A bit of a disappointment

The stay was a gift to our daughter (for her konfirmation) and we had looked forward to dining at the hotel restaurant, which is high quality. When we checked in, we asked to have a table reserved, but we were told that it was fully booked.

We were told we could dine in the foyer (which has its own kitchen), but bar snacks and meals don't cut it, when you had planned on a 5 course meal and wine menu. The receptionist shrugged and told us that there were some restaurants about a 15 drive from the hotel. She seemed disinterested.

We ended up finding sticks and sushi om Google maps (at Rungsted) and the service there was better than at the hotel.

Later during the stay we were told that we should have booked directly on the hotel website so we would not miss out to recommendations (such as booking a table).

The spa was also fairly crowded - and perhaps not worth the additional 900 kr we had to pay.

Besides the lack luster service, the rooms were tidy and nice and the breakfast was good quality.

We stayed here for our honeymoon right after our wedding and it did not disappoint. We were not able to check in early (but that's our fault for assuming we would be able to and booking a flight that got in so early) but they offered passes to the spa for us and the lounge was extremely comfortable. Our room was a dream with a view of the sea and we loved everything from the morning breakfast through the spa and cocktails. Truly a great place to unwind, relax and recover. There is also a wide network of parks and paths close to the resort and easy walking distance from the train.

I gave this stay to my parents and they loved it.

Unfortunately there was a lot of construction in the hotel at the moment, which was not communicated to me prior to the booking. I would have expected that from Skodsborg Hotel.

The spa area is amazing and so is the personal. Same goes for the people working in the desk. The most disappointing to us was that our bed linen was dirty on checkin, we had a train passing our windows every 20-30mins and breakfast was not included even though the cost of the stay is among the highest in Denmark. When the hotel demand such high nightly prices their description of the rooms should be better! You don’t go for a very expensive standard room and then expect trains to pass by just outside windows and then to be informed that breakfast is 25-30pounds on top of the room cost. At the price of the rooms we should expect them to be impeccable and so should cleaning, we don’t find that to be the case.

Lovely hotel - no shuttle service from the airport

Hotel was lovely, breakfast was varied, healthy and tasty, rooms comfortable and all staff very helpful and friendly. But there is no airport shuttle service as claimed on the Hotels.com website. We contacted the hotel to ask about it and were told they could arrange for a car and driver for us - not quite an airport shuttle (\"We do not have a shuttle service to our hotel.
But you can either take a taxi which is approximately 700 DKK or we can rent a car and driver for you, which would be 1500 DKK.\"). We took a taxi from the airport which cost around 900DKK. We took a train from Kokkedal train station back to the airport, at the end of our stay, it was much cheaper.

I honestly can't figure out why we chose this hotel. We didn't use the spa. We didn't eat the food. We had to take the train to go closer to Copenhagen to find some food that was a little more to our liking.
The hotel was nice enough and it is perfect for relaxing. The carpet could use some updating. Getting a taxi cost way too much.

My Noisy Room

The hotel is quite ok for the price (like all Denmark hotels). In this case I was unlucky that the room I was assigned was too noisy with the ventilation system of the building located right below the room. They couldn't find a quite room so at the end I slept in the infirmary on a small hospital bad. I came back to my room for the shower etc in the morning..

If I could move in to live I would! A home away from home but with more comforts. Rooms are spotless and comfortable. Service always above and beyond. Location great. Fitness room amazing and with the opportunity to do a quick dunk in the ocean after a work out. Breakfast buffet second to none and lobby bar ideal for an evening drink either on your own or with friends. Hotel was beautifully and tastefully decorated for Christmas.

Relaxing quality hotel

Excellent staff in reception, had room service on first night and especially the tartare was excellent - Bed was fine, and it being the cold season, the room well warmed up. Maybe a bit too warm during the night.
The hotel was quiet, felt safe and relaxing. There is a big spa area, which I have used on earlier occasion as well a good size fitness area, so I knew it was there. Didn’t have the time to use it this time though. The treatments seem a bit difficult to book at short notice.
Breakfast was on upper floor with views to the sea. And apart from the host person not being on his post at the time I came in, it was a fresh well assorted breakfast buffet.
It was a bit negative that if you want to use the swimming pool and spa, it is quite expensive if you only want to swim for 20 minutes. The fitness area is included in the booking price.

Nice place, would be happy to return.

What a wonderful place! The hotel is specifically geared for guests seeking the wellness experience, but it offers more than that. The whole grounds has a lovely ambience. The lobby bar has a beautiful atmosphere with log fire, comfortable seating, and live music. The hotel is spotlessly clean and has a sense of sophistication to it. Attention to detail is obvious. My room was comfortable and well laid out. Breakfast offerings were superb. The train station is a short 5-minute walk away (ask staff for directions, and they will point out the short-cut via the back of the hotel). The hotel also own a private jetty just two minutes walk away across the street, offering guests the chance to dip into the Baltic. Staff were very friendly and professional.

Der var lidt for mange mennesker i spaen der gjorde det lidt støjende og ikke så afslappende en atmosfære.
Desuden synes vi at vandtemperaturen var meget lav i de forskellige bade og spa. Eksempelvis spabad udenfor var 33 grader, det virkede umiddelbart ikke særlig varmt.

Vi havde booket et værelse i forbindelse med et bryllup i weekenden. Både brudeparret og familien boede der. Generelt fint ophold, men små ting kunne justeres, når det er et så fint hotel og lidt pebret. Vi havde kun spa på ankomst dagen åbenbart. Da vi skulle til bryllup, så fik vi ikke brugt det. Og det kunne man ikke rykke . Synes det havde været ekstra god service, hvis man tillod det. Udover det, så havde bruden bestilt morgenmad til værelset, da hun skulle gøres klar. Da hun forlod værelset bad hun hotellet om at tage maden væk. Men da jeg kom kl 15/16 og hentede ting fra værelset, var maden stadig fremme , selvom værelset fra rengjort. Der måtte jeg bede om at få det fjernet igen. Det synes jeg er lidt ringe, når det er sådan et lækkert hotel

Har overnattet flere gange på dette fantastiske sted, men denne gang havde de valgt at holde jubilæum fest, hvilket sådan set er fint nok, men det gjorde så at vi overhovedet ikke kunne sove, da der blev spillet meget højt, hvilket vi ikke lige havde regnet med, da vi jo havde bestilt en spa ophold.
Da vi spurgte om hvornår der blev skruet ned for musikken, fik vi blot at vide at vi kunne få 2 sæt ørepropper

Middelmådigt er nok det bedste ord. Kuropholdet/spaen mindede mere om en svømmehal fyldt med fitness gæster, intet luksuriøst ud over prisen på opholdet. Ingen aircondition på værelserne, dårlig udsugning på badeværelset, vi havde opgraderet men værelset var meget småt. Havde forventet langt mere til den pris.

Nydelig hotell og god service. Frokost fersk og nydelig og SPA var også deilig. Vi fikk låne sykler gratis på hotellet som også var veldig fint så vi syklet litt rundt i området. Parkering gratis for hotellets gjester. Ingen aircondition på rommet og svært varmt på rommet på natten prøvde å ha vindu åpent men med toget som kjører rett utenfor hver time hele natten var det umulig. Med aircondition på rommene så hadde oppholdet gitt toppkarakter men med togene og støyen på nattestid på sommeren når det er på det varmeste som gjør at du ikke kan åpne vindu for luft gjør at det kan bli svært begrenset med søvn 😔

Skønt ophold, virkelig dejligt hotel, og super personale. Men må indrømme sengene var frygtelige de var alt alt for bløde.
