Vi har lige boet to nætter på Gentofte hotel. Der er gratis parkering, hvilket passede os fint, så bilen kunne blive ved hotellet, mens vi tog ind til byen. S- banen ligger i kort gå- afstand og bybussen holdt lige udenfor hotellet - det kunne ikke være nemmere.
Hotellet er hyggeligt med god stemning og god service.
Vores standardværelse var rigtig fint - vi manglede ikke noget og nød vores ophold.Hotellet kan klart anbefales.

Parking in the street.
Room very nice, however, the bathroom a bit too small i.e. the shower was in the middle of the bathroom which means you'll probably get wet feet the next time you enter the bathroom to use the toilet.

Vi havde booket to individuelle nætter da vores ophold blev forlænget. Det kunne ikke lade sig gøre at finde et værelse for hele opholdet så vi måtte skifte værelse. Det viste sig senere at det var til et fuldstændigt identisk værelse. Der mangler køleskab og plads til opbevaring på værelset.

Average hotel with bi AC and no safe box.

Hotel is average, and is very expensive for what they provide. There is no AC in the rooms and it was very hot, so we could not sleep well. There is also no safe in the rooms. The elevator is very old and kids did not feel safe in it, breakfast is very basic.

Excellent hotel; will definitely recommend it. The room did not have air condition or any sort of air fan however and it was 29 °c during my stay - sufficient to say I didn't get much sleep because of the heat in the room. But it's the only downside to my stay; otherwise it was excellent.

Varmvatten var avstängt mellan kl 09 och 19 en dag. Vid förfrågan om kompensation var man oförstående. Hade vi fått veta det i förväg. Det fanns ingen restaurang på hotellet trots att jag tror att det stod så i beskrivningen. Rummet saknade garderob.

1. Room was booked as two single beds. But was in fact two single beds with 1 double matress on top - so in reality a double bed. I travel with my teen son. I had to sleep on the floor. 2. Noisy disappointment

A lot of noise from the adjacent restaurant. Apparently they used a door just below my room (101) that made it impossible to sleep before midnight. Avoid this room!
Bathroom very small, limited facilities and very mediocre breakfast.
Cannot recommend this place to anyone.

Large room. Good location BUT they piped the bar music outside to entice people into the bar until midnight. The windows are so thin you can hear the music and it was so loud. Plus the street noise is very loud. Water was also an issue. We couldn’t get the shower to a warmer temperature.

LIke: I love the fact they offer free tea and coffee 24/7. It was pretty chilly when we stayed there and hot tea before going to bed was great. We had at least 2 cups of tea every night. The location was very good too. It’s very easy to get food just right next to the hotel. There is a supermarket that is 5 minutes away that open long hours. And many pizza places and some health food restaurants as well. Plenty of choices. We like it a lot and ended up staying one more night before we went on the road again.

Note: it is pretty easy to park generally. However, we did run into the out-of-parking-space situation the very last night. We were told to park on the street and it’s free parking. Easy!

I recently stayed at Gentofte Hotel for two nights, and my overall experience was a mix of positives and negatives.

Firstly, the room I stayed in was quite small. While it was clean and well-maintained, the limited space made it feel a bit cramped, especially when traveling with my family.

Unfortunately, my son's experience was less than pleasant. He slept on a roll-over bed provided by the hotel, but he developed rashes after the first night. Concerned, I reported the issue to the hotel staff, who assured me that they would investigate the matter and report it to the manager. However, despite leaving my contact email, I never received any feedback or resolution regarding the situation, which was disappointing.

Furthermore, an incident occurred during breakfast that left me feeling uneasy. While eating cereal with milk, I was approached by another guest who complained about the noise I was making while drinking milk from a bowl. She commented on how Europeans drink milk differently, and this made me uncomfortable, feeling targeted and racially profiled. I promptly reported the incident to the hotel staff, as I believed such behavior was unacceptable and needed to be addressed. The hotel staff took action by speaking to the lady and resolving the situation. The lady apologized for her remarks, but the experience still left me unsettled.

On the positive side, the hotel's location was convenient, and the staff were friendly.

The situation is good with supermarkets, restaurants and bakeries near by. Bus stop in front of the hotel. One can use the bus in both directions to reach train stations.

One can any time have a hot drink, excellent facility. They also provide good tourist info, brochures and maps, etc.

Modtagelsen og afsked kan være mere imødekommende.
Det er et ældre hotel, hvor ekstra komfort som kunne have fundet sted som bedre puder, madras, lille kaffemaskine…mm. Er ikke eksisterende.
Hvis jeg havde booket bord på Jordnær, ville jeg overveje et andet hotel.
Jeg ville benytte hotellet i andre sammen hæng end par ophold.

For lille seng og dårlig service ved morgenmaden

Vi havde bestilt et værelse med dobbeltseng og fik en 3/4 seng og fik derfor ikke en god nats søvn.

Vi blev bedt om at forlade morgenmaden kl. 09.59. Ja, vi vidste godt den sluttede kl. 10, men normalt plejer man andre steder at kunne få lov lige at sætte et kvarters tid og nyde det sidste, mens maden fjernes fra buffeten. Og når der så var så mange andre borde som medarbejderen kunne bruge tiden på at rydde af i stedet for at \"smide os ud\", hvilket vi følte vi blev.

Af mindre ting der bør forbedres kan nævnes:
Meget lang kø ved den eneste kaffemaskine ved morgenmaden. Kan løses nemt ved at købe en ekstra.
Der var ingen håndsæbe på værelset ved håndvasken. Kan løses nemt ved at personalet tjekker ifm. rengøring.

Der var også positive ting ved opholdet såsom renlige værelser i god stand samt hjælpsom service i receptionen, men ovenstående gør bare at det samlet set var en dårlig oplevelse.

Don't stay here!

Looks nothing like in the photos. Dank and dark. Reeks of smoke due to the staff smoking right outside the room. The room was like an oven, with no aircon and I got a small fan from the front desk that wasn't helping. I ended up booking another hotel and left. Can not recommend this hotel to anyone. Also, there is no place to have a meal except a pizzeria next door. Don't stay here!
