Not as good as it looks on the description

The accommodation was comfortable but in need of some renovation. The bedding and towels were very oldFashioned and not very luxurious. There was plenty of communal space and coffee facilities. Safe parking on premises. It is an annex of a larger hotel and facilities- breakfast and pool are quite a walk- again not clear from the advert.

I was charged 145 for the room. Someone came in off the street behind me and asked for a room for the night. He replied 94as I walked off! Asked someone the next morning 2 people also walking to the ferry and they paid 105! Profiteering!

Beautiful setting, pleasant annex of a hotel.

Hotel Chantelier is an unmanned annex of the Manor hotel. I’m not sure I realised this from the description.
The advantage was the fact you can share the hotel pool. Also breakfast is available (extra €12) in the hotel.

The disadvantage was the annex was a bit soulless. It lacked atmosphere. I think I would have found it a bit scary if I was there alone.
Another disadvantage was that it smelt a bit musty.

It was however clean and simply but pleasingly decorated. There were toiletries and great ‘help yourself’ coffee and tea faculties. Parking was good and there was a secure store for bikes.

Rural setting was beautiful.

Everything is good, except the bathroom.

The environment of this hotel is very comfortable and warm. The size of the room is perfect for three of us as a family. The only thing I'm not satisfied with is the equipment of bathroom. The equipment and decoration are old. There's no shower curtain with bath tub, it's easy to spread water everywhere.

Beautiful old 17 century stone manor house bordered by peaceful and scenic horse farm at edge of Cancale in the countryside.
My only criticism is the hotel is very difficult to find and the office of tourism sent me to the wrong place. I had to go to the police station for help. Road signs are not at all clear. Once found however, my stay was very comfortable and received an upgrade to the manor from the hotel.

Convenient location for our journey from St Malo, handy that it had a pool, good shared tea/coffee facilties. The communal areas were un-used, making it feel a bit like a youth hostel. Pleasant bedrooms and en suite. Check in is at the main hotel on site. Fantastic staff.

Organisation inhabituelle avec un seul accueil pour 2 établissements (l'hôtel et le manoir) différents, avec principalement 1 seul employé qui fait l'aller-retour entre les deux établissements et qui fait un peu tout tout seul. Du coup, on a le sentiment que la gestion gestion du Manoir, plus prestigieux, se fait au détriment de l'hôtel et de ses occupants. Le tout est légèrement négligé : déco soignée mais datée, du café et un frigo à dispo dans un espace commun. Ambiance entre hôtel d'affaires et gîte ?.... On est livrés à soi-même, aucun personnel à l'hôtel. C'est très déroutant.
A noter pour les bonnes choses quand même l'accès à la piscine et au jacuzzi du Manoir, et le buffet de petit déjeuner qui très bon, même si, là aussi, vous devrez vous faire cuire un oeuf vous-même ;-)

La vie de château

L'hôtel se situe dans un très beau parc et l'accueil est très très bien. Les propriétaires et le personnel sont très gentils et prévenants. Cet hôtel fait partie d'un ensemble de 2 hôtels, la réception et le petit déjeuner se trouve dans l'autre bâtiment et nous offre donc une petite promenade matinale. Ce fur un séjour très agréable.

J'ai séjourné à l'hôtel Le Chatellier 2 nuits (18 et 19/08/2020) dans le cadre d'un séjour de vacances en Bretagne Nord.
Points positifs de l'hôtel : très bon accueil, personnel avenant, propreté des chambres, petit déjeuner copieux pour le prix demandé (10€).
Points négatifs : hôtel éloigné du centre-ville (il vous faut absolument la voiture pour rejoindre le centre), la piscine se situe côté manoir des Douets Fleuris et éloignée de l'hôtel (pas forcément pratique de traverser tout le domaine depuis l'hôtel pour aller en profiter), le prix des chambres est peut-être un peu élevé si comme moi vous ne les utilisez que pour y dormir et ne pas profiter des installations...
Assez bon avis dans l'ensemble ; un peu cher pour l'usage que j'en ai fait (tarif lié au cadre du domaine).

Hotel très agréable

Nous avons passé deux nuits dans cet hôtel très agréable à quelques minutes en voiture du centre de Cancale et du port de la Houle. L'accueil a été chaleureux et très professionnel. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.
