The hotel is beautifully situated on the coast of Murano, and is a short but picturesque walk from the glass museum with many outstanding options for dining and glass shopping along the way. Our hosts Claudio and Antonia went above and beyond to guide us during our first stay in Venice, with excellent recommendations and directions to the hotel, which were much appreciated when we got lost on our way there the first night. These two were constant much like the light from beautiful lighthouses along the coastline of Murano. And the room had a balcony.

We were made to feel very welcome, and we enjoyed a relaxing stay, only one night but wished for more. In my error, i didnt realise that the switch outside the bathroom, turned on the hot water, and stupidly thought the shower was cold. My error , and the owner was very understanding and even let us stay in the garden with our cases until our flight. Beautiful views over the sea, perfect relaxation. Will hopefully return again soon

Venice itself is beautiful but the owners of casa sulla laguna make it and Murano infinitely better. The staff was great and the room was lovely at this small place tucked away just a few minutes from a vaporetto stop on Murano Island. The room was clean and quiet with air conditioning but also 2 big windows that were great when there was a breeze. The staff was super friendly with REALLY helpful suggestions on dining, shopping and the transit system. An added bonus was that the place had a nice garden space right on the water with a lovely view as well as their own dock if you were using a water taxi. The decor was also so fitting for a trip to Murano because there were glass lighting fixtures as well as a lot of pieces of art glass. It was just charming. I could have spent my whole visit in this cute b&b and I would have felt my time was well spent.

The description said ocean view or balcony. Neither was true. Says airport shuttle. It is the public transportation they are referring to. The mattress was very think, uncomfortable and most likely from 30 years ago. People were very nice. Breakfast for 5 euro a piece was a croissant with some fruit filling. Very good but just letting you know. Not a terrible experience just not what i was expecting

We stayed with Claudio for one night and he was the most hospitable host we could’ve asked for. He greeted us with wine and sat with us to explain the entire island. Even though we don’t speak Italian, he was able to translate everything to us. The house itself is extremely well kept and has the most amazing view of the water. So close to Venice and the surrounding islands but a little slice of paradise away from the city hustle and bustle. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Upon arriving, Claudio greets you with aperitifs and proceeds to give you a detailed insider's overview of Murano. He'll cover the ferry routes, choice restaurants and best vantage points for touring Venice - all of which is done on the terrace overlooking the sea. He does not speak English well, but is an expert at using Google translate to provide info with a high degree of accuracy. If you need any special arrangements locally, it's clear he's the kind of guy who could make anything happen with a few phone calls. Staying here had a warmth and authenticity that one cannot find at a chain hotel. The property is quaint and lovely, clean, good water pressure, comfortable bed - the view from our room was superb! Minutes walk to the ferry. Don't worry about finding the place - Claudio will be in touch with directions as soon as you book.

The owners are the sweetest couple ever and had no problem with us checking in late (our plane was delayed). Along the way, they sent us instructions on how to get there easily. this place is an absolute gem, tucked away, great views, calm , tranquil , out of the way.If peace and quiet is what you seek this is the spot for you. One piece of advice to fellow travelers: the main vaporetto/boat from the Marco Polo Airport stops at “ Faro” Station, if you have luggage do not go on foot as it is quite far, stay at the “ Faro Station” and catch another vaporetto / boat the 4.1 line, it will take you to the next stops at the Vaporetto station called “ Navagero” and from there the Casa sulla Laguna is 2 minutes away. Bonus info: real close to Casa sulla Laguna there is a big and extremely well stocked Supermarket in case you intend to buy groceries for sandwiches picnics and the like.
