A clean small family run hotel. It’s dated but still in decent enough shape and it’s clean. Decent breakfast and an owner who is vested in making sure his guests have a good experience. Slightly off the beaten path but that’s good as it’s still close to the major sights and it’s quiet. Great value for the money.

Hotel is difficult to find during the night as the light above the entrance isn’t working and so it is very easy to miss the building number. The door handle to the entrance also came off in my hand one evening.
The hotel itself if very clean and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The building is very rustic and amazing to look at. Most of the facilities in the room were as expected but the fridge wasn’t working (apparently stopped just before we arrived) so we couldn’t refrigerate bottled water. The bed is comfortable and the breakfasts were good.

Perfect for 1 night before heading to the airport but probably wouldn’t be able to do multiple nights. Beds were uncomfortable and had extremely thin sheets (no fitted sheet) as well as no fan or AC, but if you open the windows, you will be eaten by mosquitoes.

The property was easy to find and great for st. Marco square and Rialto bridge. The gentleman who checked us in was very helpful and very polite. He advised us to have breakfast which was a great idea. He also gives great advice how to get round Venice so listen to what he says. Hotel Manager (Davide) very helpful with recommendations for restaurants and other information you might require. We arrived when Venice was in flood and it got worse on the second day, Davide provided us with wellingtons so we could get out and about.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this bed and breakfast in the heart of Venice. Upon entering the courtyard of Ca' Bauta, I wondered if this was the place that I had reserved. However, upon entering the 15th century building, we were thoroughly delighted both by the beautiful space and the very warm welcome from Davide, Ca' Bauta host and manager. The breakfasts each morning cost an additional fee, but were a great deal, offering hard boiled eggs, spinach quiche, cheeses, croissants, yogurt, fruit, juice, coffee, tea, and even a decadent-for-breakfast chocolate cake! Yes, we would definitely stay here again.

What a beautiful place to stay! Set in a quiet part of Venice, with everything you need close at hand. A very helpful manager gave us great information delivered with a sense of humour. Room was simple but perfect. Air-con kept us cool in the hot weather during our stay, bed was comfortable (invaluable considering the amount of walking you get done in such a city). Highly recommended.

Amazing Stay at this Fabulous B&B
We stayed for 5 nights and what a wonderful stay we had. Davide, the owner, is extremely attentive, knowledgeable and made us feel completely at home. The room itself was spacious, clean, light and airy. It is also in a great location and only a short walk to all the main tourist attractions. Please make sure you ask Davide on places to eat as our best meal was in a little restaurant he recommended.

Located in easily accessible location....
Hotel is located in less than 5mins walk from Ospedale waterbus station which eliminates all worries of navigating around Venice’s famous but spider waves alleyways to find hotel with heavy bags and luggages. Located in very quite area with easy excess to St Mark square just in 10mins, plenty of good restaurants and shops in same area. Big rooms and reasonably cleaned bathroom. The only problem I found in the room was lack of sockets to charge mobile phones, had to turned off TV and remove TV’s socket to charge phones and cameras. Very basic breakfast in high price, recommended to arrange breakfast somewhere else. No boiling kettle for tea/coffee in the room. But as a whole, I happily recommend this hotel to all my friends and families in the basis of easy accessibility and friendly and helpful staff.

This is a lovely guest house in an old Venetian home. The decor is very appropriate for the location. David is a wonderful host who loves his Venetian heritage and cares for his guests. Be sure to look for emails from him about how to find the location. Our email went to spam and we walked much, much more than needed to reach the house. His directions will take you to the house quickly without needing to cross bridges and go up and down lots of steps.
The location is a short walk to the main sights and also just far enough from the crowds that you can breathe. We would definitely love to go back to Venice and would stay at Ca' Bauta again.

I choose this bnb becauce it had such good reviews but i was disappointed the owner was very nice and welcoming but i felt the room was pokey with oversize furniture that has seen better days the blanket on the bed was old an pilled making it look dirty the room was quite warm but at night you could not open window becauce the insects came in and there was a big light shinning in

This was a very nice hotel. Located in a quiet location with plenty of restaurants near by. Check in was very easy which Daved gave detailed directions and instructions how to enter the facility after hours. Lovely restored palazzo within fifteen minutes walk of San Marco and Rialto, but the local area is not too busy. Lots of good restaurants nearby, which the owner was pleased to book for us. Five minutes walk from local vaporetto stop (Ospidale). Note that owner does not live at the hotel and is not necessarily there.

Lovely B&B in the heart of Venice
Ca Bauta is a B*B located in the Castello neighbourhood of the city. It is close to the main touristic venues (15 min walk max) and very easy to reach with the vaporettos. The B&B goes back to the 1990s but the building itself goes back to the 14th century. Furnishing and decorations are very tasteful and very much in line with the Venetian spirit. The owner manages the B&B in a very competent way and he is a good source of information on the area. We strongly suggest to book the room with the Jacuzzi: amazing set of rooms with a large balcony!

We stayed at Ca' Baute for 2 night in August. We were greeted by Davide who was extremely welcoming and helpful. He sat us down and talked us through a map of Venice, how best to find the main sights and also the other places that we should visit. He also offered to book us tables at authentic local restaurants (not the expensive tourist traps near the main sights) – the places that he recommended were wonderful.
We were really pleased with the location, central to all the main sights (10-15 mins walk from St Mark's Square and the Rialto Bridge and a 5 minute walk to the nearest water bus stop). The room was clean and bigger than we were expecting with amazing high ceilings and period décor. What can I say about this place? It is one of the hidden gems in the little streets of Venice. It is in close proximity of St. Mark's Square and Rialto Bridge, about 10-15 minutes walk through the streets.
I wouldn't call David (the manager) as the manager of the hotel, but he is a host who takes care of his customers very well. He treats them as his personal guests. He makes sure that you are at the best of your comfort. He even drew up the itinerary for us to make best use of our stay in Venice.
His employee, Martina, is also a very good lady who takes care of you very well.

This hotel has only 6 rooms and no staff after 7:15 pm in my case, so you must pick up a room key by reading a notice on the desk if you arrive late. Calling to a staff is not possible because of a bad phone service. A phone shows only emergency call is possible.

The Hotel came with a great host in David that provided all the info that you will need to make your trip to Venice enjoyable. Breakfast was very good and the hotel was in a quiet street close to the main Venice attractions but not where the big crowds were. In you are a first time visitor to Venice, ensure you have a map before you get there since there are many small streets and you can get lost fairly easily without a map.

Location, location, location! Ca' Bauta is very close walking distance to the main attractions such as Rialto Bridge and St Marks Square but far enough to escape the craziness. It is a great place if you want to experience how locals live. The place is amazing with a rich history! The room was large, with very high ceilings, fitting a family of 4 very comfortably. It was clean and affordable. The service was outstanding - friendly and professional. David was always available and willing to help, pre and during our stay. I'd definitely stay there again and will be recommending to family and friends.

We spent a few days here to celebrate our honeymoon, when I booked I emailed the hotel for some help to make our stay more special and Davide was so helpful. He booked us a table for dinner the first night and gave us a complete guide to Venice the following morning before recommending and booking us another table for dinner.

It was simply wonderful. Davide and his staff were amazing. Davide suggested areas for us to visit which were fantastic. Some not so touristy which we loved. A lovely quiet, small hotel away from the busy areas but only a short 10min walk and you are in the heart of Venice. The hotel has everything you need for a comfortable stay and Davide is there to sort out any problems you may have or to offer some useful information about local restaurants, public transport and things to do and see. When I return to the beautiful city of Venice, I will certainly stay here again.

Davide was great. Explained to us how to get around and how to navigate Venice. The only issue we had was our room was very warm even thou the heating system was turned off. So we just slept with our window open which was fine.

We stayed here as a surprise birthday treat for my partner. We booked the family room for 5, just for the two of us and it was well worth it - huge, lots of space, with sofa and seating area , beautifully decorated, and spotlessly clean with lots and lots of fluffy towels. Really good area of the town to stay - everything within walking distance but away from the crowds. Very easy to get to by water bus and good shops and restaurants and beautiful buildings a very short walk away. Hotel was blissfully quiet in the night, not a sound from outside or in, despite being fully booked. Everything was perfect. Everything the reviews say about Davide is right - such a pleasure to meet him. He knows all the best places and is happy to share and arrange things for you if your Italian is not quite up to scratch!

The hotel is located in a centric area of Venezia. It feels very much like a B&B, personalized service since it only has few rooms, all converging to the main area. If you arrive after 6 the manager can actually see you on a camera installed outside. There are security cameras all over and you can take drinks from fridge and leave money on the tray (honor system). Breakfast is good and room is clean. I think is a little bit overpriced but still within my budget.

My son and I spent 5 nights at this very comfortable and cleann B&B. Davide, the owner, is very welcoming and knowledgeable. Ca'Bauta is located in a relatively quiet area but it is only a 10 minute walk to St Mark's Square (as long as you don't get lost but that is part of the fun). The breakfast is simple but very nice. There are only 6 bedrooms so it is a quiet place and perfect after a full day of sight seeing.
