The room was beautiful. The stuff was nice and helpful. The breakfast didn't have healthy options or options for dietary restrictions. The bathtub did not have a plug for some reason. Overall ok for a few days.

We stayed here from Oct 9-11, 2025. The place is so clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. We were planning to stay in Venice but we were glad that we stayed in Murano instead. The place is only a ferry/boat away from Venice. Our room was clean, also they offer breakfast. We would come back here again.

At first I thought I made a mistake by booking a property on Murano Island away from the main tourist area in Venice, but I found the area quite refreshing after jostling around in bustling Venice most of the day. There were boat buses available that go to Venice every few minutes. It is very clean, quiet and I felt very safe walking around Murano. The hotel is quaint, clean, and has a delightful breakfast every morning for its occupants.

Great way to wake up and enjoy a slower, quiet morning and then take an easy water taxi to Venice. The transportation back to Murano was easy in the evening after a nice walk.

This is a very charming and well-run hotel in a historic 500-year-old building. The staff is excellent, as is the included breakfast. The only caution is that it is on the island of Murano, which is separate from Central Venice. To get there, you have to take a boat, which is actually kind of fun. Also, to get to the airport, you have to drag your luggage about half a mile to a different wharf. But it’s all great and its own way. Highly recommended!

The room was very nice, and pleasant views. The problem was we needed an early morning flight and check out. The gentleman at the desk never mentioned arrangements for water taxi to airport. We had difficulty arranging this on our own, adding stress to our stay. We found out that evening that the hotel can make those arrangements, too late to help us.

My husband and I stayed here as part of our honeymoon, it was a cute place with breakfast included that fit our needs while visiting Venice. The staff was amazing, shout out to Kristina who went out of her way to accommodate our late check in and greet us personally. We loved the location and price was perfect for our budget. We felt safe here and it was the perfect place to call home, if only for a few days.

Very nice traditional Italian hotel. Decor and furnishings are old-school elegant. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom is very modern and there is plenty of hot water. Room was very clean but a bit musty. There are nice open terraces with comfortable seating. Location is great - just a short walk to the vaporetto stop. Murano is wonderful - more quiet than San Marco, very quaint, but with some excellent restaurants.The biggest shortcoming was very weak wifi - we sometimes had to sit in the corridor to get a good signal.

Charming and great price

Myself and my husband stayed here for three nights whilst attending a wedding. The room was really comfortable, clean and nicely furnished. Smaller than it looks in the picture, but that was fine. The shower was great, and it was brilliant to have a little fridge. The service was polite and helpful. The only thing missing was an iron, which would have been handy, as we were going to a wedding! But again, not a big problem. The hotel is perfectly located and has a lovely courtyard. We were also able to leave our baggage there for a few hours on the morning we checked out. Overall, great value for money and a perfect base from which to explore beautiful Murano and the main island.

We were booked for bed and breakfast but with the freak weather there was know where open to eat the hotel would not even make us a hot drink my wife was in bed very I'll because she had got soaking wet because the transfer boat would not take us to the proper drop of point so we waded for a good mile by foot through water when we returned home my wife was diagnosed with pheumonia the hotel staff were very rude and refused to make us a hot drink all weekend except for breakfast 7.30_10.39

Very isolated remote from people.waterbus ia thw only transport in the town 25 min walk to hotel from bua station cant find the hotel .shower is very small 30inch square leaking ans drainage ia blocked no coffee tea machine in the room no kitxhen or drink in the hotel no restaurant in the hotel it os total isolation from anywhere .very expensive to teavel to mainland .and after 8pm the whole town is dead no pub or nightlife

Pretty awful hotel. Photos and information not representative of the hotel at all. First of all, you can’t walk to the famous monuments in Venice- they are a 45 minute water boat ride away. Not sure where to begin with the hotel.... very smelly, very old, bed bugs, dirty sheets, no amenities open after 5pm and no drinking water at the hotel, grumpy staff and breakfast edible. Only good thing was a hot, powerful shower.

The property is actually on Murano, which can be difficult to get to if you plan to stay out late. The property was on a quiet street, but a bit difficult to find. We had an issue with the lock on our door and the manager was reluctant to offer any help. Otherwise, our stay was just fine.

My only concern was the suspicious 50% city tax that they say they require. Why do they require 50% tax? This sounds illegal. Max by law is 4.75 Euro per person per night.

Air conditioning wasn't great. But not terrible. Mini-fridge was broken and never replaced or fixed. They messed up on the city tourist tax. Or possibly the person working the desk that day was just looking to scam me. Either way the calculations were all wrong. The staff working the front desk on day of arrival was very helpful though so it depends on the day and who you get I suppose

Dark, dark, dark, amid the blaze of noon - steel shutters were permanently closed and the room in perpetual darkness apart from a few dim lamps. We did ask for the shutters to be raised, to no avail.

My only complaint with the room was, the air con was not working properly to cool the room. I was awaken at the middle of the night because the room was too hot as the air con was not cooling the room. I opened the roof light/ceiling window for ventilation to cool the room on our last night but myself and my daughter found bitten by mosquitos all over our legs, hands and neck.

Hotel seemed nice enough, but the room we had (Room #1) was essentially in the lobby, meaning we could here the coming and going of every guest. When we asked to change rooms, we were told it was too late, that we should have asked when given the room. We just ended up booking another hotel, rather than have to deal with the noise for another 2 nights.

The hotel is located in one of the quiet islands of Venice(Murano) Easy to find, check in-out was fast. Staff friendly and helpful. Bedroom very quiet and clean. Cleaning service and towels every day. Breakfast included in the price, but it was very basic.(machines barely making any drinkable coffee or juice).if you want 5 star hotel look somewhere else, otherwise that's an overall good budget hotel.

Unfortunately a really disappointing end to a great holiday purely due to the hotel.

Firstly, we were put in a room about 50m down the road from the main hotel in a room that looked nothing like the pictures on hotels.com. We were told we could check in at 12pm. On arrival at 1pm we checked into our room to find it not having been cleaned from the previous guests. Not a good start.

The worst part is the annex we were put in effectively didn't have a space between the roof of our room and the floor of the room above which was made of wood. It is impossible to demonstrate how loud and creaky this was when walked on from above. Furthermore, the inhabitants of this room was a private flat, who proceeded to have a great party on our last night meaning we got no sleep after 1am. With the hotel not having a 24hr reception there was nothing we could do. We knocked on the door if the flat but were ignored. When we mentioned this to reception in the morning it was greeted with a chuckle and a 'what-do-you-expect-me-to-do-about-it' attitude.

Lastly, when trying to pay the city tax, they demanded cash payment. Since we weren't notified of this at check in and was our last day in italy we had no cash. In another example of extreme unhelpfulness, we were forced to run around the island looking for a cash machine, meaning we missed our boat to the airport.

Murano is a wonderful island, but I would urge you to book at another hotel.

I went for holidays to Venice and staying in this place made it a comfortable experience. The lady at the front desk was really helpful, she gave me a map of the place, told me everything I needed to know and helped with directions. The hotel has an amazing vintage style and is all very clean. The employees at the place are nice and polite.

Good hotel, quite area. One of the males at the desk must have thought that Fawlty Towers was a training video, he was most unhelpful, to the point that as the main door was locked at 7.30 in the morning, he refused to open it to let us book out, telling us to leave the key in the room, and they would take any monies owing via our credit card. We owe 41 euros for tax and breakfasts, so it will be interesting to see how much they take. The young lady on the desk was most helpful, as was the other male member of staff.

Noisy room next to some kind of machine that turned off and on all night long. Wrong kind of room offered even though reservation was months in advance. Breakfast so-so. Location not convenient or easy to find lugging a suitcase over uneven pavement. Stay in Venice proper, Murano has nothing to offer after the sun sets. It wasn't horrible but there was nothing much to recommend it.

Our stay at Locanda Conterie was lovely and in a beautiful quiet location. We weren't expecting to be put in a separate annex building but the room was lovely and clean. The only issue we had we there was a high vaulted wooden ceiling which was obviously the flooring of the flat above us and is constantly creaked and groaned as people were walking around upstairs. We found the soundproofing in our particular room quite poor however we persevered with is as only spent the night time in our room and were out most hours of the day. I would recommend this hotel to others if you're after a great location with easy access to Venice via the water bus

The room was amazing. Clean, comfortable, spacious, and pretty. And although it is not on the island of Venice, the island of Murano was very quiet and calm and only a short boat ride away from Venice. I only had one issue with the place. When we went to check out we were suddenly charged €20 for breakfast (€5 per person). This made us pretty upset, because Hotels.com said breakfast was included. It also made us upset considering they had a very sad and small breakfast buffet. And to add on top of that, they would only accept cash. We didn't have enough Euros on us at the time so we were sent to a far away atm we could not access because we weren't members. We then asked around until we could find one that was even farther from the hotel. All of this nearly made us miss our train.

Secluded hotel close to amenities

Canadian couple on our honeymoon.. Had a wonderful experience at Corte Paganini. Francesca was a very welcoming host. She gave us advice on the hidden gems in the area to visit. She was gracious enough to transport us to and from the train station In la Spezia everyday so we could explore the area. There was an amazing local restaurant named La Locanda Del Podestal down the street where we ate each night of our stay. Highly recommend to any couple or persons looking for a more local/personalized experience.

Ok hotel for the money. No elevator, hotel has very narrow stairs to bring up your luggage. Tiny bathroom with old mold in shower. Breakfast was included, but not much to brag about. Canned fruit seems to be a staple in Italy. Very limited variety of food in continental breakfast.

We stayed in the Annex which was a separate building from the hotel. The room was small, dark and smelt quite damp. We had two single beds which were rock hard and felt like the springs were coming up from them. The walls were super thin and you could hear the conversation from the room next door. We were only staying one night, but would've asked to move If we had of stayed longer.
Breakfast was continental which was adequate, although what put me off was watching 2-3 brazon pigeons flying into the terrace and landing on the tables to eat the left over food.

We were given an attic room with no windows apart from two skylights which couldn't open. The screens which were meant to black out the suns rays were broken which meant the fierce magnified heat made the room bake. The Air conditioning was poor on day one and packed up completely on on day 2 which made any time in the room very uncomfortable, sleep was difficult.
The reception staff were very friendly professional and deserve a nice mention but the girl in charge of the breakfast area was at best grumpy apart from when she was sitting on her phone. The hotel was clean and well kept but the AC definitely needs some attention - or omit it from the highlights within the hotel description, for the avoidance of any doubt.

Close to water taxi station, mean staff.

The concierge was not just rude but hostile. We were on time, pleasant, and he was just terrible. The room was very damp, the bed was super hard and uncomfortable. There were stains on the curtains and the bar fridge was leaking. The water pressure was decent and the bathroom was clean. Continental breakfast was not bad, but no help or even acknowledgment from staff. Also didn't realize that breakfast wasn't included, but that could've been my fault. Oh, and lastly I got a nasty rash all over my neck the first night we slept there.

I choose to stay on Murano away from the crowds of Venice and the hotel was very nice for that. It is very quiet at night. You're in the hub of the glassblowing industry - very fun! It's easy to get around to all parts of Venice on the water buses.

* The LOOK of the room was fine - but we were hunting and squashing mosquitoes all night long. We killed 9 but there were several left. Perhaps, their leaving the window open (no screen) instead of turning on the AC was the cause. Mosquitoes can be very dangerous.
* the bathroom facilities 'appeared' fine. but the commode lid would not stay open, even when I was using it. Annoying and distracting. The water pressure was so high that the pipes were leaking in the shower. It was difficult to get the shower head to stay INSIDE the shower. In fact the entire room got sprayed. The towels were linen and smelled clearly of Vinegar. Charming looking but not useful.
* the safe did not work
* the beds were Very Hard.
* the 'breakfast' was located 2 stories upstairs and was laid-out 10 minutes later than was promised. This lateness plus their arriving 10 minutes late made our check-out time very stressful. The water bus is very precise and only runs every 30 minutes. A water TAXI for the same distance could be over $100

Everything ok, but comfort improvements go far!

Great dinning recommendation, quiet room but not in main bldg. thankful for baggage holding!
Could be better with an extra electric outlet, air out room - weird odor on arrival. Mattress pad would improve comfort of bed.
Otherwise a clean, quiet place to sleep and clean up.

Not so many restaurants at night even if it was still pleint of tourists. Nice villa, with no lift and some architectonical barriers if any handicap. Nice staff, very clean and cobfirtable rooms , good breakfast.

Very pleasant small hotel on Murano, where the glass of Venice is made. Delightful place to discover the small island and learn more about the glass.

Quiet location within easy reach of everything.

Had a fantastic stay in Murano. Quiet Hotel with friendly helpful staff. You don't go to Venice to stay in your Hotel for the day. Came back to a clean air-conditioned room. When I booked (very last minute ) was told 'Bathroom along the corridor' - had visions of a shared bathroom and possible queuing in the morning to use the facilities! But no, along the corridor meant not en-suite but private bathroom next door to my bedroom. Above my expectations considering the very reasonable room rate. Breakfast perfectly adequate to start your day. Would definitely stay here again. Nice to be away from the hustle and bustle around St Marks, but everywhere easily accessible by water-bus.
