The breakfast was great and the lady served us breakfast with big love and care. We had a strike going and she advised us to use the other site of the island for the transport to the Venice area. She was a great help.

Quaint little motel. No screens on windows so could not open to let in fresh air.
Do not go by pictures in ads - not near canal or lights along waterway.

We arrived late, could not find the place. Kept getting hung up on after being told to check my email. I did not have access to email, and kept telling them that. Finally got someone to give us the code after buzzing the door over and over. Location is good, but thats about it. Bathroom was not in our room and would not lock. Kind of creepy.

Our flight was late so we arrived after the front desk was closed. They sent us a code to get in and our keys where waiting for us. The next morning breakfast was served in the lobby with warmes baked goods and fresh cafe. Friendly staff and helpful. Would like to stay longer.

great location on Murano, very close the the Murano Faro Actv stop. Decent sized room but very dated. wardrobe was unuseable due to mouse droppings inside that had gone moldy. no staff in hotel in the evenings and the attached bar and restraunt close at 5. Breakfast very basic ham cheese and 2 bread rolls and 1 croissant per person. first morning croissant had a hair baked into it and member of staff who had served us accused my wife of planting the hair that was baked into the pastry. overall a basic hotel with sub par service in an excellent location

The hotel itself was OK. Staff were friendly, the room was clean and breakfast was good. There are no communal areas in the hotel and only one chair in the bedroom which wasn’t really suitable for relaxing on. The bedrooms are OK but look better in the photos than in reality. I would stay in the hotel again if it had more seats in the bedroom and was in a different location. The hotel is on the island of Murano and everything closes at 5:00. there was only one, pricy restaurant to eat in. Everything else was closed and it’s like a ghost town. Not even a bar for a drink. I would recommend staying on the main Venice island nearer to the popular areas for a better evening experience.

Room dirty, we couldn't use fan as it made too much noise, in fact the lady in charge knocked on our room & told us to turn it off was making too much noise!!! There was no ice available, whole area closed at 5pm so no where to eat after that!!! It was rated 5plus I wouldn't even give it a 2!!!!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. No problem leaving luggage for a few hours before departure in the reception.
The room was quite large, with a nice workspace and large wardrobe. Quiet and peaceful. The bed was a bit uncomfortable for my back, however.

Not The Best Choice

This hotel is more like a rooming house. There is no office, doors are locked at 5pm, the only way to communicate is through email which is not returned in a timely manner. Breakfast was so so, nothing special at all. The area is a normal day trip from Venice so very few options for dinner or evening activities. I would stay in Venice proper is given the opportunity again.

It seemed more a 9 bedroom B+B than a full hotel, but it was just fine for the night I wished to stay on Murano. I was given a spacious room with a generous shower room. Of the three hotels I stayed in on this trip to Italy, it was the only one to have a kettle in the room. The front door is a beautiful example of glasswork.

I would happily mention this hotel to any friend wishing to stay on Murano.

Easy to get from airport to Mariano 8euro on public water bus. Hotel was small but nice lovely big bathroom did the job. Not much happening at night on this island but again a easy water taxi to main island and no issues getting back as the public water taxi runs 25/7. Enjoyed the few days I stayed

Room 6 very disappointing. Twin beds squashed together with no space to spare. No resemblemce to the photo on website. Otherwise, clean room with adequate shower and facilities. Great breakfast but whole place needs an update. Murano in September was dead. Much better to find a hotel in Venice but difficult to find en suite.

Very nice well presented hotel. Good quality clean linen - excellent night's sleep. Had communicated with hotel prior to arrival to advise late check-in and an entry code was given with keys left on the desk - all worked perfectly. Elvio courteous and efficient in his communications. Breakfast very good with mouth-wateringly fresh bread and pastries.

when we arrived we were told our now wasn't ready ,asked to use the toilet and were shown to a dirty mosquitos infested room,when we came back at 3pm after visiting Venice we were told we couldn't have a coffee or drink unless we purchased food .our room was no 6 a room outside in the court yard which needed so work on it as it as the shower didn't work and bathroom was in a bad state very disappointing visit

Ok place to stay only if you want to be at Murano.
Otherwise, is too far from Venice, and from the airport.
Room and bath was too small.
We had to carry heavy suitcases to top floor, no bell boy works there.

Inexpensive hotel right off \"metro\" stop; fantastic location; very quiet in the evenings. Hotel manager said he would email the access information before arrival for my \"late\" check in after 7pm but never did - I had Hotels.com call them and they were great - the manager met me to let me into the hotel and my room after their 6pm lobby access time. After I arrived they told me I had to pay in cash when I left. Again, I called Hotels.com and they said that they accept credit cards. I don't know why they were trying to get me to pay cash but Hotels.com took care of it. I have never had to call Hotels.com for any issues like this before, but it was extremely comforting to know they were there to troubleshoot these important issues and navigate through any difficulties. Overall it was a great stay - the location is primo and the value for the stay was outstanding. A big thanks to Hotels.com for making it easy!!

Right in the centre of Murano!

Set on a cobbled street on the island of Murano, this humble family-run hotel in 2 buildings is a minute's walk from the Murano Faro ferry terminal and a 9-minute walk from the Museum of Glass!

The room was pretty small but I imagine that is what you should expect in Venice! We had a great stay here! The bed was very comfortable, in fact we only needed the room for sleeping. It was also cleaned regularly. It was fun to live on Murano instead of the busy main island. We bought a two day ticket for the water bus, which stops steps away from the hotel. It takes you straight to Venice mainland in 15-20 minutes, to other islands, around Murano or anywhere in Venice.

We did not have a hair dryer in the room but asked the reception for it and it was given to us immediately :)

Roberto was my contact at the hotel, he was extremely helpful! As we had a late check-in Roberto happily assisted us and communicated with us over the email and left us instructions on how to get access to the room! We definitely are coming back! Venice is one of our favourite destinations as of now!

Lovely Murano ! do not expect all the conforts

Murano is really nice and romantic. The small ferries to Venezia are easy to use and frequent.
The hotel is nice. The room was really clean but, remember, it's Venezia:
no elevator, you have to carry your luggages
breakfast is very simple. Do not expect a nice croissant
wi-fi was working intermittently. I had to manually go and reset the AP 3 times
checkout is at 11am ! do not be late or the lady there will yell at you :)

Overall the place is nice and definitely worth it to stay

Hotel is a good price and the room comes with free aircon and wifi (but ours didn't work that well as we were on the top floor) but aircon was very good, especially as it was hot. Breakfast consisted of bread rolls and a cake but only cost €4. The downside to this hotel for us was the location. It is on murano the island of glass which is great for a day time trip but in the evenings there is nothing to do. Most restaurants close at 6/7 and stop doing fresh food at about 5. Two restaurants do stay open later but are quite pricey. Murano is only a short boat ride from the main centre of Venice which costs €15 per person for a return. It is a nice island, nice hotel but no night life at all.

We had a warm and very friendly greeting and were shown to our clean and spacious, air-conditioned double room. The Hotel is attached to a small but very good bistro/restaurant serving great quality but inexpensive food.
We thought the Hotel may be isolated on Murano but it is only 30mtrs from Faro ferry stop and public ferries run 24hrs (we bought an ACTV 3 day ticket 40 Euros from the Tabbacci, on arrival at the Train Station).
It can also be reached directly from Marco Polo airport by ferry to Murano Colonna (Alilaguna single ticket 8 Euros).

Murano is lovely and I would stay again

Murano is a lovely island so nice to walk around there and easy to get to Venice, also nice that you have to take the vaporetto every day. Murano is very quiet at night though! Hotel really easy to find just a two minute walk from the Faro stop. The staff were nice, also working in a restaurant so they were quite busy when we were checking in and out. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower was a good size but difficult to make sure the doors were closed so we flooded the bathroom a few times. Air con in room which was great and a TV. Hairdryer on request but no iron or safe. Basic room but nice hotel, I would stay again and there is a tiny little courtyard by the rooms which was nice.

It was perfect for us! Staff was hard working and very kind, warm and helpful!
We stayed for 5 nights so the only thing that could have made our stay a bit easier for that length would have been access to a refrigerator. A hair dryer for those who are traveling from outside of Europe would be convenient.
Loved staying on Murano! Very peaceful and safe place especially late evening.
Would recommend Hotel Al Soffiador to friends and family traveling to the area and I look forward to coming back personally!

Think Twice About Staying Here

We arrived to check in and the hotel was locked. We rang the bell and after several minutes, a woman opened the door but told us there was no elevator and we had very heavy luggage. The woman wanted to hold on to our passports for a day. We were uncomfortable and later asked if we could get them back. Turns out she is also the owner of the restaurant next door and was too busy to make copies of our passports and wanted to hold them instead. She ignored our polite attempts to reclaim our passports and would not even acknowledge our presence. One of her waiters finally told us her name was \"Alicia\" for our reference. Compared to our stays at 2-star hotels in Florence and Rome, this was a disappointment. We didn't expect to be treated as an inconvenience with sub-par accommodations. We also had to go down to the lobby to manually reboot the modem because it had stopped working and Alicia provided no help. During our time the temp was in the 80s and the AC doesn't work well. Beware of pitch-black hallways at night.

This is the kind of boutique hotel I want to rate very highly but I just can't do it. I prefer staying in Murano than the main islands Venice. Excellent location, 1 minute walk to Murano Faro vaporetto stop. Nice size room. Breakfast is meager but adequate. My only complaint is that the website states the owners are available and onsight but twice when major problems arose, we could find no one to help us. When we checked in, the owner said he was busy, handed us the key quickly and left. Liked the place but service not very good.

Quiet Location

Overall the 1 night stay was average for what we paid for - a 2 star accommodation you can't really complain. If you are wanting to stay in a hotel away from the busy touristy hustle and bustle then Murano is the best place to go and this hotel is perfect for this. In the evening the whole island is basically desserted. There is literally no one around. The hotel is located behind a busy restaurant. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Room is clean.

A good Hotel near Murano Faro Lighthouse

We really enjoyed our stay at Al Soffiador. Our triple room was spotless plenty of space for three people. The location was ideal and Murano very quiet and relaxing in the evening. The staff were very helpfull and spoke very good English. The restaurant serves very good resonably priced food I would happily recommend this Hotel.

Unfortunate experience.

This is a very simple hotel, more like a hostel. My room was old and sparsely furnished. The shower water was lukewarm.
I was told breakfast was 8 to 10 and when I went down at 07:56, I was told it was not before 8:30. The waitress was very rude and angry. Her behavior and language was abusive.
When I decided to leave and asked for my passport, I was asked to pay for the room. I had already done so on Hotels.com, but the waitress claimed the charge had not been debited. This is the first time this has happened to me and I still need to verify with my bank that I have not been charged twice.
I will never set foot in this place again.

O local é tranquilo e longe das badalações de Veneza, hotel confortável, com atendimento muito cortez e todos os funcionários foram muito simpáticos, o hotel possui um restaurante anexo, senti um pouquinho de falta somente de uma pequena geladeira no quarto, o ponto forte do foi banheiro novo e em excelentes condições de higiene e uso. Todo o comércio de vidros de Murano muito próximos com diversas opções de preços, a localização é excelente, pois fica a menos de 200 metros da estação Faro.

Der check in war eine reine Katastrophe. Am Tag der Ankunft hatte es stark geregnet und die Tür außen war verschlossen. Wir hatten geklingelt, mehrfach Nachrichten geschrieben und mehrfach versucht telefonisch Kontakt aufzunehmen. Erst nach etwa einer Stunde, als andere Gäste kamen und wir mit reingegangen waren, war der Gastgeber aufgetaucht und war verwundert, wer wir sind und wieso wir reingekommen sind. Sowas habe ich noch nie erlebt! Die anderen Mitarbeiter, die wir zu beim Frühstück getroffen haben, waren sehr herzlich und das komplette Gegenteil.

Buona soluzione a costi medio-bassi. Comodo punto di appoggio pur non essendo in pieno centro perché ben servito dai mezzi, sia direttamente dalla stazione sia dalla città. Ottimo per chi voglia vedere le isole esterne Burano e Torcello.
Sistemazione e comfort adeguati alla categoria, bagno piccolo ma completo di tutto, corredato da un bidet basculante che fornisce il suo servizio.
L’hotel è compreso di ristorante, ma ha un proprio Ingresso indipendente e le chiavi della stanza sono corredate anche di quella della porta esterna, cosa che regala libertà assoluta di orari.
L’acqua calda della doccia si fa attendere un poco prima di diventare confortevole.

Ett utmärkt och prisvärt boende i Venedig (Murano)

Ett utmärkt bra och prisvärt boende i Venedig. Det ligger förstås en bit bort, på Murano, men det är i sig ett trevligt ställe att vara på med några trevliga restauranger, Hotellet är lätt att hitta till och nära båtarna in till stan. Kan starkt rekommenderas.

Очень приятный отель, цена/качество соответствует. Местоположение хорошее, порт в 100м от отеля. Мурано в отличие от самой Венеции более просторный и спокойный. Были там 2 ночи. Удобный отель для ночевки, завтрак хороший, но действительно немного тесновато на завтраке. Номер комфортный, ванная комната большая. Единственный минус в номерах очень хорошая слышимость, были в номере на втором этаже, оттуда окна выходят во двор. Слышно когда кто-то разговаривает или кашляет. Нам, правда, повезло с соседями и к 23 становилось тихо. Хозяин и персонал вежливый, даже объяснил нам как ехать до аеропорта и посмотрел расписание (около 30мин) до терминала.

Sicuramente esperienza positiva con secondo tutti i punti di vista, rimane solo un ombra che purtroppo ha condizionato la recensione, proprio il giorno della partenza uno scarafaggio di notevoli dimensioni si trovava sopra il letto, ciò ha costituito purtroppo la condizione di negatività della recensione relativa alla pulizia.
La struttura è pulita, ma uno scarafaggio non si può giustificare in nessun modo. Ci sarà umidità, ma esistono i prodotti adatti affinché ciò non avvenga.

Были вдвоём с дочерью в октябре - ноябре 2018 года. Очень понравилось Приветливый и отзывчивый персонал. Удачное месторасположение: пристань совсем рядом, из окна потрясающий вид на маяк. В отеле достаточно сытные завтраки, номер маленький, но все необходимое есть.

Zweckmäßige Unterkunft in ruhiger Umgebung

Es gibt im Soffiador sehr unterschiedliche Zimmer. Wir waren schon oft dort und haben diesmal leider das Zimmer Nr. 7 zugeteilt bekommen, in dem man die Nachbarn darüber laut hört und Ausblick auf den Hof hat. (Zimmer 1 ist dagegen traumhaft.) Die Reinigung ist sehr gut, allerdings werden Tees und Kaffees beim Wasserkocher nicht nachgefüllt. Durch die zentrale Lage auf Murano lieben wir dieses kleine Hotel und es hat einen gewissen Charme, dass sich seit 1993 nicht viel verändert hat.
