What a find. I do not normally stay at 2 star hotels. However I was travelling with two friends and I needed to find accommodation that was central and could accommodate 3 x beds. Then I saw Hotel Paul which ticked all the boxes and more. The reception and general area has a very arty / boutique vibe. Our room, we actually had 2 rooms, a double bed in one and two singles in the other which worked out great for 3 adults sharing. Very clean which is super important to me. Lovely friendly staff. Short walk to the centre. I never knew a 2 star hotel good be so good.

Small, funky designed hotel 30 meters from old town. Also convenient for multi storey car park - which can be problematic in Aix. Lovely walled garden where guests can have breakfast and relax. Friendly and attentive front desk staff

Quiet location, poor service
We enjoyed the location and aesthetic of the hotel, however our sheets and pillowcases had some stains on them and one of our towels was ripped when we received it. Upon arrival we were not asked to present any documents and were given basic information verbally from the concierge, but we were not informed of the need to pay city taxes and breakfast fees at checkout. While I could have checked this in my booking, it would have been helpful after 2 weeks of traveling in different places to be reminded of an extra fees we had not already paid for. Therefore we ended up paying much more breakfast there than we would have in town and had to arrange payments after our stay ended. We could have learned this at check-out, but when we were on our way out to catch our train there was no one in the lobby or at the front desk to speak to. Need to improve communication with clients.

I can't say enough good things about my stay at Hotel Paul. First of all, I rarely book a \"2 star\" and to be honest, from the outside it did not look promising. But I had fallen for the photo of the garden in the listing: and the garden is magnificent! AND so was everything else! Felt like newly refurbished/designed hotel, immaculate, welcoming, quiet, comfortable, non-smoking, eco-conscious etc. Seriously, I personally would give it four stars.

The stay was ok. The room was very basic. The first night was fine. On the second night, we couldn’t sleep until past midnight because there were noise from the room above us. The hotel Manager charged us additional 3.80 euros for additional taxes. We didn’t realized that we had already paid when we made the reservation.

On entend moins les voisins que dans les chambres basiques. L'équipement est correct (espace bureau, placards, TV), mais simple : pas de bouilloire, pour se faire un café ou un thé, ni frigo, et pas de distributeur à disposition à l'accueil de l'hôtel.

Par contre, la salle de bain est ouverte dans la chambre (sans murs) ce qui est surprenant (humidité, odeurs, intimité). Le dessous de la porte laisse passer les odeurs du petit déjeuner dès 7 heures du matin, au point que personnellement l'odeur m'a réveillé.
Le petit déjeuner \"français\" est une formule correcte, simple, sans buffet, servie à table (pain - croissant frais - beurre - confiture - jus de fruit standard - compote et yaourt industriels), on ne peut choisir que la boisson chaude (thés, café).
Pas de fruit, pas de choix sur le produit laitier.

¡El hotel es formidable! El servicio de self check-in funciona muy bien si llega después del horario de cierre de la recepción. El personal es muy servicial y amable. Las instalaciones son cómodas y el hotel en el que nos alojamos era espacioso y silencioso. La ubicación del hotel es excepcional, cerca del Ateliê de Cezanne y se puede llegar a pie al Centro Antiguo y a varias atracciones turísticas.

Un bon hotel d'arrière-plan historique, tout à côté de la vieille ville. L'intérieur recemment rénové en moderne tout en gardant l'encadrement des ciecles passés. L'équipe très serviable et acueillante. Merci bien! A noter - anticiper frais de parking municipal Pasteur tout à côté 20 eur/ 24 hr sauf d'autres solutions. Ptit déj type français.

Hotel carino pulito, vicino al centro e con tutto il necessario. Ovviamente non è super lusso ma è un ottimo compromesso fra prezzo e qualità. Il personale è gentilissimo, la colazione buona e c'è un parcheggio (a pagamento) proprio accanto alla struttura.

Honnêtement c’était très bien, c’était l’hôtel le plus proche du centre-ville et le moins cher une chambre avec un lit double et une salle de bain juste le nécessaire. Tout était propre juste petit bémol c’est que le sol était comme en pente, peut-être parce que c’est un vieux bâtiment mais en tout cas rien n’a signalé nous avons passé un bon moment.

J'ai beaucoup apprécié mon court séjour: 2 nuits à l'hôtel, déco sympa, propre, calme, notamment quand on a la vue sur le jardin. Possibilité de prendre son dîner dans jardin (à emporter) et le petit déj. Et à 2 pas du centre ville et arrêt de bus. Je conseille vivement!

Je viens régulièrement à Aix en Provence pour le travail ou pour les loisirs. J’aimais changer d’hôtel, mais je viens de tomber sur mon point de chute définitif.
L’hôtel est beau, bien placé, au calme avec un joli jardin. C’est propre et on y est très bien accueilli.
À mes yeux, c’est de loin le meilleur rapport qualité /prix d’aix en Provence. Bref je suis fan et bientôt fidélisé!

Réception très sympa, petit déjeuner parfait, hôtel charmant. La chambre grande et propre avec clim, en revanche salle de bain désastreuse : vieille, en pente, oui... en pente ! Sol abîmé, toilettes écaillées, des trous béant au niveau des canalisations, douche toute petite, pas de pression et vue sur rien... alors qu’il y avait de très belles chambres. Il fallait sûrement appeler l’hôtel directement sans passer par le site pour avoir droit à ses chambres.

Prenotato con animale al seguito ma arrivati volevano metterlo legato in giardino. Stavamo per andarcene ma, facendolo sembrare un favore, ci hanno dato una doppia stanza in soffitta. Ambiente trascurato: muro scrostato una stanza con finestrella in alto, arredamento tipo svuoto casa della nonna! Il bagno è uno standard francese per il livello di albergo ma potrebbero curare di più Aspetto positivo lenzuola veramente pulite, anche la stanza era pulita e colazione ben curata in un bel giardino.
