Great location next to bus station and old town. Not too noisy, even with train tracks nearby. Friendly staff and good breakfast buffet.

Would be good to add security cameras to hallways. AC/heat control in rooms appears to be disabled unless you make a special request to the front desk. No screens on windows, so mosquitoes can be a problem at night if you want the windows open.

Nice hotel. Easy 6 min walk to old town areas with restaurants, etc. Friendly staff. Good car park right next door. Breakfast nice and Euro style although ideally would have liked a couple more hot selections rather than boiled eggs (but these were good, as can boil your own to your taste).

The location of the hotel was good, Solene the front desk was very sweet and recommend a great restaurant for us to eat, but overall the experience was disappointing. The room was not clean and very uncomfortable. The parking area was flooded. With the exception of Solene, the other staff was not friendly. I do not recommend this hotel.

Hotel Rotonde, Aix

The location was very difficult to get to because gps didn't work, downtown was one-way, and cars can't enter the adjacent bus station. However, once there the location was great. It was late September so we got lucky with their small, dirt parking lot. Nice hotel, small \"Superior\" room but it had a balcony. Shower doors are too short so water could easily get on the floor. Nice bedding, temperature (a/c), very nice staff. Just an \"ok\" breakfast for the price.

I don’t know how this property was called a hotel, it looks and feels like a dorm with basic cheap furniture, like portable bathrooms, and no customer service whatsoever.
If you’re lucky to find anyone at the reception, they’re extremely rude, kind of yelling at you, if you ask to open the parking gate. They even managed to hit my car at the front. No apologies. Nope.
My suggestion: some training in hotel management, concierge service and plain just being nice would help.
Meanwhile, avoid this hotel. Not worth it to ruin all of the good impressions of the French Aix-en-Provence

The hotel is clean and modern. The room was comfortable and the location is great with a short walk to the downtown area. The hotel apparently does offer parking but space is very limited and we were never able to figure out how to get in. We ended up parking in the local shopping center multi-story parking and walking back to the hotel. When we asked at the front desk we were told that was probably the best thing to do since their parking was full. Overall though, a great experience and great location.

Four Nights in Aix

A well located hotel with decent rooms and beds. A shopping bag with irreplaceable souvenirs was picked up out of our room and thrown away. Even though we notified the front desk they didn't seem too concerned that the trash truck pick up the next morning would include our bag. They did comp us breakfast but that wasn't the point. Room maid service was spotty with used coffee cups not replaced nor instant coffee replenished.

this was our 20th anniversary and we wanted to stay in town. The hotel was under street construction and we did not know about it. We were in the front part because we wanted to see the street however it brought the dust after a days work. the alley to enter the hotel was uneven and was unsafe and damaging to the rental car. The staff were all friendly and helpful esp Bagdad. The location excellent. The rooms were comfortable and amenities in bathroom very bare. Very good location.

60s style hotel located very close to town centre

The decor and equipment was in general well-maintained, clean and modern. Staff were friendly and helpful. Free off-street parking is a major asset, especially in Aix. Our big issue was the air-conditioning (A/C), which was ineffective. We chose the hotel over others, including AirBnB, because it advertised A/C. However, the temperature control was kept in the reception and even though they said it was 23 (too hot), 22 (still too hot), 19 (still too hot!) ...it just didn’t work and we were left sweating on our beds. Not good. I don’t like the lack of trust either. Our room was not cheap and should include the cost of utilities etc.

Good location, comfortable stay

Stayed here for 3 nights and was lucky to have been upgraded to a nice one-bedroom suite. Clean room, comfortable bed, and very convenient - only a stone's throw away from the bus station, 5-minutes' walk to the train station and 10-minutes to the main city centre. Would definitely stay here again!

Rotunde review

Our stay was very pleasant. It’s a large, busy hotel and we could understand why. The facility is well-maintained and modern in design. The room was nicely appointed and a good size. We were driving so the free parking at the hotel was a plus. We did not have the breakfast and can’t comment on food. Would have loved to be able to make coffee in the room. Toiletries were skimpy. The front desk staff were very helpful and recommended a great restaurant. The location is easy to find and about a 10 minute walk from the old part of the city.

Hotel was fine. Room was fine. Service was excellent. Parking was protected with fence (good) but spaces were unmarked, unpacked and muddy. Breakfast priced a bit high but resto 2 minutes down the street was good. If you arrive without a car, then everything really was fine. Nice place.

Renovated hotel with very helpful staff.

This hotel does not look like much from the outside, but it is entirely renovated on the inside. Our room was comfortable ,spacious, and very clean. Parking is free and it is a 5 minute walk to the city center. We were able to check in early and the front desk staff was very accommodating.

We were upgraded and stayed in Room 111. Huge, quiet and comfortable. After 3 stays in Aix en Provence , including the 4 star Cezanne, this was by far the best accommodation. Everything worked including good Wi Fi. The hotel is a 4 minute walk from heart of town and staff were really friendly and efficient

This is a lovely hotel for a very reasonable price. It has character (parquet-like tile floors, spiral staircase), and it is a 5 minute walk to the center of the tourist district, and 30 seconds to the bus station. The exterior to the building itself is nothing special (it is below a multistory residence complex of the same name), but the area is nice as it feels much less touristy than a few blocks away. There is a small market with fresh produce just outside the hotel's entrance.

As far as comfort, the bed is firm but not hard (as I like it), and there is A/C, so despite the humid 90s weather, it was very easy to sleep. The full continental breakfasts were amazing for ~10 euro.

Some people have complained about the slow WiFi — that's not a hotel issue. I was at a conference, and the internet was slow there, too; it appears to be true in all of Aix.

A good choice for the budget traveller

Let's face it, the Hotel Rotonde is not much to look at from the outside, or even all that attractive on the inside, but that's not why you stay here. Its chief virtue is location...just a short walk from Aix's bus station (which you will surely use if you arrive on Bus 40 from the Aix TGV station or if you take bus 50 to Marseille) and only a short walk to the Rotonde fountain, Cours Mirabeau and city tourism office. It was also more comfortable than first expected...the tile floors were warm to the touch; front desk was quite helpful; noise level was low. If you want something economical, safe, and centrally located, the Rotonde fits the bill quite nicely.

Great hotel for short stay in Aix-en-Provence

Location is great, walking distance to the tourism office and the city centre. Staff are great and very helpful. Hotel looks outdated but still clean enough. We were given a room that is wheelchair friendly which is probably bigger than the normal rooms. However, this means the shower didn't have a floor barrier and water was flooding everywhere. They do have private and secured parking so that's great.

Basic hotel

This is a basic hotel and should be rated as a 2 star. Good for a traveller on a budget. While the location makes it easy to get to the old part of town and the sites, I didn't feel safe walking back at night as the neighbourhood isn't the best. The hotel and the room were clean, but is basic. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and gracious. We only stayed one night so this hotel suited our purposes.

Extremely conveniently located. Walking distance from bus station (think of how much money you save on taxi!), 10 min walk to the center (Rotonda fountain) and 15 min walk to both universities.
Nice and cozy. They allow dogs to stay with guests.
Breakfast (not included in price) is very good.

Well situated.

Only stayed one night, but were pleased with the accommodation. La Rotunde is well-situated for exploring Aix on foot and easy to find because it is near the big fountain. Room was dark because of heavy wood shutters, but street noise was not a problem. Kind of had a business hotel feel. Otherwise clean and comfortable; a good value. Secure off-street parking was a bonus.

Um bom hotel para poucos dias

É um hotel muito bem localizado. Ficamos apenas uma noite. Lençóis e travesseiros excelentes e ar condicionado perfeito. Para o padrão a que se propõe é um hotel. Tem estacionamento, mas nypara a totalidade dos hospedes. Precisa reservar com antecedência e o site Hoteis.com não informa sobre isso. Equipe muito acolhedora e simpática.

Les chambres sont bien, sdb aussi, mais: les isolations avec la rue sont déplorables (on profite de tous les bruits de la rue honnêtement), le service de de nuit est déplorable, le bar idem, et la salle de petit déjeuner est ultra-bruyante: on se croirait à proximité du lave-vaisselle!

Cet hotel annoncé 4* n'en mérite même pas 3 : état propreté médiocre (trace de café sur les rideaux...), chambre vieillissante et très mal insonorisée, literie de mauvaise qualité, douche avec de l'eau chaude pendant 2 minutes puis tiède et complètement froide, serviettes de toilettes de très mauvaise qualité, connexion wifi inexistante...

Un hotel confortable et très bien situé. Du personnel souriant et aimable. Un parking privatif mais vite plein et en plein soleil.
La chambre était petite mais confortable. La literie est assez bonne. Seul bémol, le fait d'avoir été situé juste à la sortie des escaliers/asccenceur fait qu'on entendait un peu les gens qui restaient à discuter.
L'ensemble est donc plutot bon.
Le seul bémol est sur le petit déjeuner. Certes il y a du choix, beaucoup de choix même, mais pour 21€ on s'attendrait quand même à des produits frais artisanal et non de la grande distribution comme du pain frais du boulanger (idem pour les viennoiseries). C'est un peu cher pour la qualité, même si cela reste bon et diversitfié, cela ne devrait pas dépasser les 18€/personne.

Pratique, juste à 2min de la gare routière, à 6min de la gare. La chambre donne sur l'avenue donc un peu bruyante tôt le matin si vous êtes en étage bas. De plus le lit double est fait de 2 lits simples accolés, c'est désagréable au milieu. Toutefois, l'accueil est de qualité.

Cet Hotel est idealement situé: derriere la gare routiere et à 3 minutes de la Rotonde avec les restaurants cinemas....
Le petit déjeuner est complet ( oeufs jcharcuterie fromage, cereales confitures miel, croissant viennoiseries, fruits et jus de fruit.Ambiance lumineuse et sympathique, les serveuses facilitant votre apprentissage eventuellement de la machine à café,the chocolats.
Sans doute inutile l'été, nous avans deploré en decembre l'absence d un chauffage dans la salle de bain type seche serviettes par exemple

バスターミナルにとても近い！！

一人旅で利用しました。

街の観光に便利ですが、なによりバスターミナルがすぐ隣です。
街へのアクセスは入りも出もバスだったため、大変助かりました。
ホテル自体もとてもきれいで清潔です。
チェックアウト後にも普通に荷物を預かってくれます。

観光用にお勧めです。

夜、バスでエクスアンプロヴァンスに到着する予定だったので、バスターミナルに近いこのホテルを選びました。バスターミナルの東端から徒歩１分程度でしたので、移動が楽でした。ホテルの道を挟んだ反対側にミニスーパーSPARがありました。

Prima di tutto trovo molto scorretto affermare che la struttura disponga di parcheggio, quando il parcheggio non è praticamente MAI disponibile, essendo in comune con un residence.
Personale della reception seccato e scortese, con due persone in camera, avevamo solo asciugamani per una persona, quando lo abbiamo fatto presente la cosa ha destato ancora disturbo alla ragazza della reception.
Tenendo conto che non dispone di parcheggio, si possono trovare strutture molto più particolari a cifre più interessanti.

Good location, spacious room

The location is very good, much closer to the old city centre than the impression I had from the map. The staff were kind. The room was very spacious and had a patio. The hotel has a pretty spacious car park, but I had to park my car in the Rotonde public parking lot, because there was no space available in the hotel car park, and had to spend an extra 16 euros (because I left my car there until 10am in the morning next day).

Hotel très bien placé, parking gratuit hyper pratique, chambre calme et spacieuse. Personne agréable et arrangeant. Nous avons été ravies de passer ce weekend dans cet établissement.

Quarto bom, localização boa e serviço bom. Tive apenas problema com o estacionamento. Apesar da reserva informar que há estacionamento gratuito para os hospedes, o estabelecimento não possui vagas para todos os hospedes. Logo que cheguei, tive que estacionar em um estacionamento pago próximo.

ホテル選びは慎重に。

スーペリアルームを予約したはずだけど、案内された部屋は違う気がした。
受付に確認したけど曖昧でした。
107号室がスーペリアか御社から確認してほしい。

Le personnel d'étage pas grave c'était une stagiaire accomagnée, mais il a fallu demander un oreiller, serviette supplémentaire car nous étions deux,cintres,fiche ne pas déranger,mais nous y venons chaque année c'est juste une fois!!!
