Friendly helpful staff. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Spacious room, but some areas looking tired (kitchen tap and loo seat both wobbly, door runner loose, fascia missing from fridge). Great location for accessing the old town, very quiet and felt safe as a solo traveller.

Extra costs makes this a disappointment.

Rooms were modern and clean, separate lounge with large sofa bed that is bigger than the double bed in the bedroom. Expensive breakfast that is not value for money. There is a lovely cafe around the corner. I feel the reception staff in the afternoon are students and don't really care about customer service for example the air-con was weak in the bedroom and I notified reception but they did nothing to fix the issue or change our rooms. Also we asked about parking on Sunday and they try to push their own parking at 14 euros per day when there was free parking on the streets nearby. The staff did not tell us about this and were pushing their own expensive car parking. Also a warning everything extra in this hotel costs e.g. extra towels. I don't recommend this hotel unless you are really stuck and can't find anything in the old town.

The hotel room was clean and had very comfortable beds. There was a bit of confusion with the check in, as a new staff member gave us a room that hadn’t been cleaned. This was quickly resolved and we were given a bigger room. Points which could be addressed, make sure towels, etc for a third guest are provided and supply tea towels and washing liquid for cleaning dishes in the kitchenette.

Once we found it it was great

The hotel is covered in scaffolding (Jan 25) so hard to see and parking nearby was impossible until we found Carnot public parking. This gives a free stay period and from there you can find the hotel on foot, sort out hotel parking and move the car to it.

My recent stay at Odalys City Aix en Provence L'Atrium was nothing short of a disappointment. From the moment I walked through the doors, it was evident that this was not the experience I had hoped for.

Common Areas:
The first impression was far from pleasant. The common areas of the hotel were shockingly filthy. The lobby, which should set the tone for the entire stay, was dimly lit and had a musty odor. The floors appeared to have been neglected for a long time, with dirt and stains that made you question the last time they were cleaned. It was an unwelcoming introduction to the hotel.

Sleeping Rooms:
If the common areas were bad, the sleeping rooms were even worse. Upon entering my room, I was met with a stifling smell. The carpets were stained, the walls showed signs of water damage, and the overall cleanliness was severely lacking. The bed linens were questionable at best, and I had serious doubts about their cleanliness. The bathroom was equally disappointing, with mold in the corners and a showerhead that barely produced a trickle of water.

Overall, my stay at Odalys City Aix en Provence L'Atrium was a regrettable experience. I had expected a comfortable and clean environment, but what I found was quite the opposite. The common areas were filthy, and the sleeping rooms were even worse. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone, and I urge potential guests to consider alternative accommodations in Aix-en-Provence. This was an unfortunate and unforgettable experience.

Very conveniently located; close to the city centre (rue d'Italie connects it to cours Mirabeau) and Aix-Marseille university. The rooms are studios proper (which I had not expected/noticed upon booking), including a separate kitchen, and very spacious. The room was very quiet, as well.

On the last day of my stay from c.5pm in the afternoon until I left on the afternoon of 28 May my room was without electricity — no light, no power. Although I reported this and checked several times during the night and up till the time came to depart for my flight back to Australia there was absolutely nothing done to attend to the problem — undressing and packing by torchlight is not normally expected of guests in a hotel of the purported class as that held by the Odalys City Aix Hotel.

One might have expected some compensation let alone apology from the Hotel.

Good location with great selection on restaurants and cafés. The cleanliness of the room and hotel needs to be upgraded. The coffee machine didn’t give change and the staff just looked puzzled when you asked them about that. “I can’t help you” is what I kept getting as an answer. All in all, would I stay there again, yes because of the location to price ratio. But the cleanliness has got me thinking twice on it.

We loved the location and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Though our bus driver couldn't park on the property - expected, because this is an in-town hotel - he found parking convenient to the hotel, which was not the case last year. We loved that the rooms had refrigerators and cooking facilities. The staff was adorable! Really friendly and helpful. Except when there wasn't anything to be done, as was the case with a couple of the trundle beds in the suites, where the wooden slats had broken and not been fixed. Luckily our travelers were resourceful teenagers who simply placed mattresses on the floor. THE BREAKFAST WAS SUPERB! A really complete, nice meal with all kinds of great stuff that these hungry teens adored!

Uncomfortable bed...big wrinkle in actual mattress that I had to work out and then discovered twin beds put together so not comfortable with that ridge down the middle. Room
Needed brighter lighting options. Bathroom door full of scuffs and major chips at bottom. Really unsightly. For the price of the room this should not be the case. Room needs attention especially for this price. Furniture in lobby...while it looks nice, full of stains. Breakfast ok. Server did not clear supposedly unused cutlery after guest left breakfast. Who knows if he fiddled with it or not. Option to press your own fresh orange juice nice. But not very sanitary likely. Price of room included daily cleaning. In spite of my putting the sign on the door indicating please make up room, I came back in the evening after a long day of sightseeing only to find the room as I had left it with bed unmade etc. For this price and for hotel to make a special notation about this as a feature was disappointing. You know that feeling when you open the door and....
I did press a bit with front desk man and so he in the end offered breakfast for free. So that seemed reasonable enough. Nite staff out for smoke outside hotel and had to wait for them to come in to speak to. And when they did, overpowering smell of smoke and had my fresh towels sitting on a dirty chair. But it seems there is soooo much smoking in Europe maybe this doesn’t bother most guests.

I found this hotel to be of great value due to the kitchenette. It is in a great location near the Cour Mirabeau (5 min walk). The staff was helpful and they have self serve laundry. Beds were good and the area safe. I'd stay again for sure.

Well placed to walk around the city. Not noisy at night. Staff were pleasant and efficient. Nice inner open courtyard area. No free parking on site, 12 euros per day which is expensive for a long stay. Suite cleaned only once during 10 day stay but could pay for more frequent cleaning if required! Decor in suites somewhat dated. Overall though good for the price we paid, £70 per night in September

This 'Aparthotel' is a mixed bag - it's in a very convenient location, it's well priced and some of the staff are great, very helpful, friendly and attentive. On the downside, it's generally tired, some of the staff are utterly clueless and unhelpful, and nowhere is it made clear that cleaning is not included in the price of the 'Aparthotel' rooms. There is an additional charge of 20€ per day for the cleaning, which was not made clear at the time of booking or checking in, we had to find that out to our cost. If you're looking for a good location and few frills, this is fine - would we stay here again? Unlikely, in a city with quite so much choice.

The location of the hotel is good- within walking distance of the Cours Mirabeau, so very convenient. There is also a parking garage which was helpful, as we rented a car for day trips. The charge for parking was $70 euro for the week.

The hotel room definitely needed some updating and a thorough cleaning. The room was dingy and dark with a strange stale odor that was especially noticeable upon entering for the first time. The towel hook in the bathroom was barely hanging on the wall- it looked like it had been pulled out of the wall and never repaired. The plaster chippings were everywhere.The AC was not great and the unit started leaking everywhere due to condensation. The chairs in the living area were peeling as well. The lobby looks updated and fresh; our room however, was a disappointment.

The location of the property is nice, with easy access to the Cours Mirabeau, but the rooms are in need of refurbishment. When we arrived, the room had an odd smell. This went away with the windows opened. We also didn't have hot water, but the management fixed this quickly. Overall, we were disappointed with the room, particularly since we had just left a b&b that was excellent.

We were able to check in straight away, quickly no problems. My apartment was spotless had all you need. Only thing missing was a toaster. Quiet area no traffic noise at all. Pizzeria at hotel also across road and 2 supermarkets bank post office etc. Old town 5 mins walk. Bus and train station abt 20 min walk. Really enjoyed our stay.please note cleaning is not included in less you stay 8 night's.

The rooms are quite spacious, and mine was quiet, but they offer a minimalist version of the aparthotel option. This is most noticeable in the kitchen, where the equipment was pretty spartan (just two, unmatched glasses, no corkscrew!), though I imagine the front desk would come up with anything you asked for. The choice of beds was limited when I stayed. The main local rival, Adagio, is more comfortable, but charges a good deal more.

Our stay at this hotel was very comfortable and we loved that it was only a 5 minute walk into the center of town.The only thing that was not good was access to WiFi as it didn't always work and the elevator takes a while to work. Other than that, the staff was very helpful and apartment very clean and safe.

Smells like sewer

The room smelled like sewer, I believe it was due to the toilet water. I tried calling downstairs a couple of times to complain but no one ever picked up. We didn't spend much time in the room so we didn't keep insisting. The \"king\" size bed was horrid, 2 twin beds pushed together. It was the most uncomfortable bed of my 10 day vacation in France. To make matters worse about this room, the fire alarm in our room was beeping every 3/4 seconds during our entire stay. The hotel is close to everything and came with a full kitchen which we didn't need. I would have preferred a clean smelling room with a comfortable bed. I would never stay here again.

Apartment Hotel near Cours Mirabeau

Stayed for 6 days in Aix en Provence. The Odalys was well located to the train and bus station, as well to the center of town. Cours Mirabeau was just a 10 minute walk away. Abundance of bakeries, cafes, groceries and markets nearby. It was nice to have an apartment for an extended stay. Not luxurious, but very adequate for our needs. I would stay there again for the convenience.

Hotel stuff are not helpful and not interesting in their business.
We asked a few things to help, but non of them was accomplished.
Take for examples, out of order (safety deposits box) , no towels after room cleaning ( it took more than one hour
to bring it after asking ). No wine opener available. We need small change such as 10, 20 euro from 100 euro,
but they did not help at all and asked us to go to the bank next day.
I have lots travels many times with my wife and this is the first experience with such disappointment.

Enjoy our stay at this hotel

The location of the hotel is within walking distance to the open-air market, flee market, shopping area and Mirabeau square.

The room was too warm for a comfortable night of sleep due to air-conditioning was not available during our stay. The traffic was too lousy for us to leave the windows open during night time.

The lighting of the room was dim, there was limited electric outlets for charging our electronic devices and to keep the lamp on.

It would be nice if the hotel could provide us with some coffee pods and tea bags. You could buy the coffee pods from the hotel front desk.

Overall,the bedding, room and the bathroom were very clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Had great time. Local staff very kind and helpful with directions and tips to save monies on parking (which was bit of challenge). Great location to walk old town and jumping point to do day trips to nice, avignon, mountains, marseille, etc. Only challenge was room lacking sound proofing typical for US. Ask for room well away from elevator or you will hear it all night. If possible get room with vacancy above too. Beds are harder than US standards but typical for Europe.

Convenient location with parking available

The location is very convenient for travelers arriving by car. The underground parking was very helpful, but be warned that the parking stalls are designed by European standards - very tight. The location is a block away from the pedestrian areas with lots of shopping and dining opportunities. The rooms include a kitchette with mini fridge, microwave and electric burner. Minimal kitchen utensils were provided, so not designed for real cooking. The room was basic and clean, but lacking in comfort - there was no chair to sit in for reading or watching TV, no shampoo or other toiletries. We enjoyed the outdoor common courtyard which is furnished with loung chairs and dining tables for relaxing after touring all day.

a short stay. probably the stuff found the last room for me which should not be given to customer since customer has to walk a big round to reach the room due to the broken elevator. a pile of tools outside the room door which were for repairing the elevator, and the next morning was extremely noisy as I was in construction field. very simple/poor deployment inside the room as a 3 star hotel with the high price. location is ok.

The hotel is in ok location almost near the center, but from the bus station it is a serious walk. There are a few beggers stinking the area, so just be warned, it is an unique city, but certainyly a dirty one. The internet is pretty bad, my iPhone was not able to use internet. The rooms are a bit overpriced for single travellers, for what it is. In the hallway they turn off the lights, to save money, so you are not going to impress a date or a friend with your hotel. The people servicing the hotel are nice and helpful. The city is way overpriced and its 200 restaurants are seriously overpriced as well. Not every restaurant is good so do your homework. The city is dirty for the most part, and the motorcycles are totally spewing dirt in the air ruining the air. Perhaps it used to be a thriving charming city, today it is a dirty charming city, so it is good and bad in the same time.

Spacious and great location

This was biggest and most reasonable price we encountered in this area. We stayed here for a couple of days. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to travel extensively to other areas and wants a spacious room with laundry service, a fridge, and a dishwasher, stove, and they offer breakfast at a reasonable price. This is a great place if you have kids and need a bigger space. I stayed here with my two sisters.

Staff very friendly and helpful - Location great!

Only across the street to a lane of cute lovely shops that have groceries/bakeries which then connects to the main shopping strip of Aix-en-Provence. Parking is available, but can be hard to get as there are a limited number of spaces. Though there is also street parking and other car parks very close by. Villages in Luberon are an easy drive away.
Staff were all friendly and exceptionally helpful. Pedro in particular helped us checking in after 1am with finding a park for our car while I was pregnant. Thank you!

Fantastic location

Walking distance from bus station. Great room with sitting area and kitchen made it very easy to make up salads etc with produce bought from supermarket around the corner and many food outlets close by on Rue D'Italie. I would highly recommend this accommodation.

Spent the night in Aix, did shopping at the markets. Very nice. Comfortable beds, nice view. Must say tho that our room had a sewer gas smell.

Big disappointment

I was so looking forward to my time in Aix and then I arrived at this hotel. The lobby area is so much nicer than the rooms but that is not to say that the lobby was great...just not indicative of the rooms they provide. The hallways are card after exiting the elevator and I had to wave my arms to get light. The room is spartan and cold with no amenities at all. The capper is the smell because it smells old and moldy. They gave me another room and I couldn't get the door open due to an obstruction within the room. The third room had pipes running through the bathroom with the sound of rushing, trickling, and gurgling water continuously. I asked for my money back and they initially gave me a hassle but then wrote me a letter stating they would refund me. I am waiting for the refund. I strongly suggest you do not select this hotel.

Loved the apartment style room

After a week of staying in hotels it was great to have a larger space and kitchenette. The door staff were very nice and helpful. The location was perfect, quiet street but close to all the main shopping areas. We had a delicious Italian meal at the restaurant downstairs. Parking was available under the hotel for a decent rate. The hallways smelled bad, but once in our room everything was clean and fine. We slept so well the first night we decided to stay for a second night.

Very nice kitchenette for a great price

This would be a great place to stay if you have a few days. The hotel was very clean and modern looking inside. Our room had a small kitchenette with a fridge, coffeemaker and dishes. Quite spacious compared to many other three star hotels we stayed in. Nice room with a comfortable bed. Wifi worked great. We were very happy here.
