It was not in the city centre...in addition the pool was dirty and not heated. The breakfast was cold eggs, bacon etc. For a double room booking the twins beds were very small, had to sleep in one position. The accommodation was very small for 2 people including the bathroom. No where to put toiliteries.

Hotel is not a walking distant to Office of the Tourism. The place is clean, WiFi is good but the important thing is the
Aircondition..very poor air condition..sweating in the middle of the nigth…they provided as with electric fan but don’t help. It’s must cooler in the outside, I don’t know why.
This hotel offer the bear minimum, no fridge, or ice machine, the cup they provided is disposable cup in which
Easily deform after 1 use. The bathroom felt like a pop up bathroom.
At least 30 minutes walking to the nearest grocery and eatery.

Hotel located a 60 euro taxi ride or 35 Euro ride from MRS airport (for two).

Check-in quick and straightforward. Staff speak English and were always happy to help.

Room quite small, but clean. Single beds with mattress toppers.

Breakfast same each day. Not a massive selection but good enough for the money.

Swimming pool clean. Outside toilets not open.

Not a lot to do around the hotel, but supermarket within a 10 minute walk and a 25m outside pool (pool of the Olive Groves) also within around 10 minutes walk.

Number 8 bus stop immediately outside hotel entrance to take you into town for 1.2 euros.

Great choice in Aix-en-Provence

Excellent service by all staff, friendly and kind. Restaurant is nice and food was good. Even though the location seems a bit remote from the centre of town, it is not and a short walk brings you to two cafés. Lots of parking outside the green exclusion zone and very pleasant grounds. About a half hour pleasant walk to the old city and less to the Mazarin neighborhood.

Be very careful on food options

Room okay, facilities okay and staff seemed friendly. Only thing was food available from seven pm and wasn’t told food available earlier at bar.

Went down after 7pm with kids and the plat du jour was a filet dorade fish dish that I didn’t think kids would cope with, looked at pizza on a bar menu and told no as it was now restaurant service.

The menu I saw in the lift was quite fancy stuff and ended up me and kids didn’t get anything to eat.

Nearest McDonald’s was ‘Mcdrive’ only at that time and my spoken French nowhere good enough to verbally order.

If I’d known to order pizza before 7 I would have done and my own fault for not asking enough questions after a long drive.

So, ask if you’ve kids in tow ask the menu options so you don’t get caught out.

We skipped our paid for breakfast next morning as didn’t seem any point in bothering after not getting to eat previous night.

The staff were super helpful and nice, the cafeteria was adequate, breakfast was really excellent but the nicest thing was the large park like garden to sit out in. We did not use the pool.
Sadly the outdoor chess set was missing a number of pieces. you would think management would notice.

I was disappointed with this hotel. The room did not have a safe, nor did the people at the front desk have access to a safe. The hotel did not have ironing boards and the iron they had stained my shirt. Nor were there any laundry facilities at the hotel. The people at the front desk were all very young and could not make recommendations about places to eat or about travel options to the airport/Marseille.

Staff were disorganized from the start of our stay. After check-in we decided to take a short nap before an evening out. About 20 minutes into the nap and we were awoken when another family entered our room. They had been issued a key and ch caked-into the same room as us!
A few minutes later that family returned with one of the front desk employees to our room. The IBIS employee was very rude and she told us that we were in the wrong room-when she was the person that had issued us the room key at check-in. It was a horrible experience that was made worse by the fact that neither the employee nor her manager ever apologized to us for their mistake, our privacy being violated, nor for the rudeness we experienced from staff.

Furthermore, the facilities are antiquated and housekeeping was very poor.

Pros: Clean, stylish, convenient (right next to the motorway, easy checking in and out, English-speaking staff). Good breakfast buffet with French and American breakfast items. Clean room/bathroom.
Average: Small rooms (typical of French hotels at this rate). No way to make hot water in the morning (again, very typical).
Cons: Not many restaurants and such since it is on the far side of the town. Very little amenities -- only one towel per guest, no lotion, etc. No iron/ironing board.

We found the grounds very secure since it was gated. This was our 1st encounter with a European modern moderate hotel. We found the amenities the basic that we would except. We use this hotel as the minimum standard for where we would stay since we were used to american chains like Hilton or Marriott. During or travels we stayed at several IBIS hotels.

Great base from which to visit Aix en Provence

A very enjoyable stay at this hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. We took the bus into Aix rather than driving which was much better than trying to find parking etc. Breakfast was very good. We did find it difficult to locate the hotel as our maps app was not working. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Typical package hotel of this type. The restaurant was a little basic and the choice was limited by the kitchen running out of one of the pasta choices for the fixed price menu - what made matters worse was that they had run out on Tuesday evening and hadn't replenished stocks by Thursday night!

I do recommend the hotel!

Check-in was easy, the room was comfortable, and breakfast was delicious! The reassurance of being in a known chain hotel with familiar structure, in a different country is priceless. There is one suggestion, though: because the restaurant closes at 10pm, and there is no room service, maybe there could be cold sandwiches for sale for those who don´t make it on time for dinner. And one small remark: we arrived for breakfast 30 minutes prior to time limit, and waitresses were all rushing to disassemble the buffet and uncomfortable with our presence: not nice. But overall, I do recommend the hotel!

Good location for business travel

Hotel was clean and service was good. A nice pool area is available although did not have time to enjoy it. Location is good being quite close to Aix centre, although car or taxi will be needed to get to the centre. Room was clean but is not very large - nevertheless sufficient for one night stay whilst on business trip.

Great hotel in Aix en Provence

We had a great stay at this hotel at the beginning of September, 2017. Although, not very central the hotel is well positioned especially if you have a car. The gated grounds provides great comfort from a security perspective.
The hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly, willing to help with anything they could.
The food was great and reasonably priced. Very clean inside the hotel and outside where you can spend time by the pool, in the lobby, in the garden or on the patio.
If in the area will use this hotel again.

Tourists need a car to visit local attractions

Location a bit far from Aix center and required a car. Room was spacious and wi-fi worked well, but there was no air-conditioning and opening the window meant listening to the adjacent freeway. Otherwise, clean, and good value.

Nice hotel, great staff, good restaurant

As with most European hotels the room was small but very nice beyond that. Also like most Euopean hotels you got only one bath towel per person, not hand towel, and no washcloth - but we Americans are spoiled. Good location with free parking but not many restaurants nearby. Fortunately the restaurant in the hotel is fairly priced with food quality better than you would expect. The staff is excellent and always provided valid up to date advice.

The hotel has a good restaurant serving lunch from 12noon to 2pm and evening meals from 7pm to 10pm. The aircon rooms seemed smaller than those at some Ibis hotels but more than adequate for overnight stays with everything you need for a good sleep and hot shower.

Hotel is exceptionally clean. Also very quiet. Bathrooms are small but clean. Lobby area is pleasant and comfortable. For the price it is without doubt the best choice in Aix. Service is excellent, except perhaps 1 or 2 employees at the reception area who are a bit clueless.
All in all a very good hotel.

If cool outside, then only heat available even if room is too warm. A/C only when outside temp reaches certain high. Room fan only available when using heater or A/C. Internet not password protected. Has black-out curtains. Quiet but not sound-proof. Restaurant available within hotel: soup and desert very good. Main dish was \"so-so\". Easy bus ride into very nice town.

Stayed 2 nights before flying home from Marseille airport (about 20 minutes away). Clean, comfortable hotel on the outskirts of Aix-en-Provence. Very helpful staff. A great hotel

We were delighted with this hotel and will definitely be coming back again. We stayed for two nights in June. Location is pleasant and feels very safe on the outskirts of Aix. Very easy and quick to get into Aix by bus from right outside the hotel. Buses seem to leave about every ten minutes and the journey probably takes less than ten minutes. The pool area is very peaceful. Staff are great. Everything is very clean. Breakfast and meals can be eaten outside in a very pleasant area. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Good hotel for overnight stay

This hotel is convenient to Aix en Provence though not close enough to walk in to town. There is a good and cheap bus service which runs from just outside the hotel. Unfortunately when we stayed it was a bank holiday so no buses were running.
The room was clean but small, hence only recommendation for overnight if traveling as a couple.
All facilities you'd expect from a modern hotel including a pool if the weather is good.

Great hotel, highly recommended, good location!

The Ibis hotel is a little out of the way of the centre of Aix but not as far as you might think. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel which takes about 10-15 minites to the centre. We suggest getting a 10 journey travel card at the toursit office and you can take any bus you want around Aix. The hotel is good, the staff were very nice and friendly and of course spoke good English. The swimming pool is not as big as it looks in the pictures but who's complaining. The swimming pool is surround by a garden and lounging area for sunbathing which was my only concern. Sometimes the waiters from the bar come out and take orders for drinks, great if you want to get a little drunk while your getting your tan ;) Aix-En-Provence is a really lovely town, more modern than the other small towns in provence but this just means that it is more convenient. There are so many restuarants that you have to be careful so if you want really nice food you have to go to an area called \"Place Des Cardeurs\" where there are a few nice restaurants, expensive, but nice. We paid around 80 euro for a 3 course meal but is was great! Just so you know when booking this hotel through Expedia you do not pay until you check out of the hotel. Also brunch breakfast is like 9 euros.

Ibis at Aix is very nice and the staff are top notch. We enjoyed our 4 days there but definitely better to have a car or be happy to use the bus which is right out front. Sunday buses not great service. Hotel has a lovely pool area and restaurant is very good both breakfast and dinner.

EXCELLENT HOTEL FOR A WIDE RANGE OF PEOPLE

The room was a bit small, but sufficient for my wife and me. Other than the size, the room was very good. The air conditioning was working and the TV provided me a nice soccer performance. Of course, as a non-French speaker, I don't know what was being said. One of the key things I was looking for was parking availability, which this hotel had! Fortunately, the hotel also has an excellent restaurant and bar, although there is a bus arrival and departure right behind the hotel, if you wanted to go into the city to eat and not be looking for parking. The only thing that did not work was WiFi for my IPOD Touch; for some reason I could not log on even though one of the workers attempted to help me.

Ma chambre était limite propre (cheveux partout dans la salle de bain…) avec une odeur intense de tabac froid (connu des équipes mais rien n avait été fait à mon arrivée pour aérer…). On m a donné du « devor-odeurs » pour cacher la misère, mais vraiment pas sérieux.

El hotel asegura que tiene aire acondicionado lo cual es mentira, hace un calor en las habitaciones INSOPORTABLE, hemos estado en otros hoteles ibis en Francia que también tenían la llave verde y el aire se notaba, la limpieza nefasta entraron a limpiar y no vaciaron la papelera la cama estiraron la sábana de arriba sin estirar la de abajo. No tiene caja fuerte. La piscina es pequeña. La zona de parking es muy amplia y está localizado en una zona tranquila

Très sympathique !

Outre le confort dans la chambre, l'hôtel est agréable pour sa décoration, son bar, sa piscine et ses soirées. le personnel est extrêmement sympathique et serviable. il y a une petite boutique pour ramener des souvenirs. La terrasse est grande avec des coins jeux. il n'y a aucun souci pour se garer. Le bus pour aller à Aix (le 8) est à la sortie de l'hôtel et emmène à la Rotonde en 15 mn environ. Il n' y a pas de magasins dans le coin mais les bois, un stade et un parcours santé. c'était un séjour calme même si nous nous sommes beaucoup amusés à la fiesta organisée par l'hôtel.

Allt var bra – förutom rummens standard

Vi fick byta rum två gånger. I det första droppade det vatten från taket, och i det andra var låset trasigt. Personalen var dock hjälpsam och bytena sköttes smidigt. I det tredje rummet fungerade det mesta, men duschtrycket var mycket svagt och det luktade illa från avloppet. Överlag skulle rummen behöva renoveras eller åtminstone fräschas upp.

Hotellets omgivningar var däremot riktigt trevliga, med mycket grönska. Restaurangen höll god kvalitet, även om serveringen var långsam – vilket kanske kan förklaras av att det var många gäster under vår vistelse. Frukosten var ganska varierad, innehöll allt vi behövde och det fanns gott om parkeringsplatser. Ett extra plus för bussförbindelsen till centrum – hållplatsen låg bara två minuter från hotellet.

Sammanfattningsvis: om du planerar att stanna 1–2 nätter – tveka inte. Men för en längre vistelse kan det vara värt att överväga ett annat alternativ.

Utmärkt boende, om man inte traktar efter ren lyx. Fin och avkopplande trädgård med pool område. Bra gemensamma utrymmen. Bra cafeteria och restaurang. Trevlig personal.

Bra rum. Bra sängar. Enda anmärkning får bli att bussarna slutar gå tidigt på kvällen. Men de stannar dock 100 m från hotellet när tiderna fungerar. Samtidigt är taxi billigt. El laddning på plats. Nära A8:an.

Cheiro forte no banheiro a viagem toda. Não tem frigobar (confesso que não conferi no momento da reserva se há algum aviso, mas é o primeiro hotel que vejo isso). De resto, entrega o que promete entregar.

Une réserve quant au confort attendu dans la chambre. Cet Ibis n'est pas un Ibis Standard mais plutôt un Etap Hôtel revisité: chambre très petite; plafond bas; très petite salle de bains..
Heureusement la gentillesse du personnel et les prestations permettent de minimiser ce problème de chambre

Très bon rapport qualité prix emplacement

Hôtel très bien situé, proche de l’autoroute.
Très calme. Les chambres sont petites mais confortables. Le personnel est très agréable. Le petit déjeuner était excellent. Il y a également une terrasse et une piscine que nous n’avons pas utilisé car c’était en juillet mais ça avait l’air très sympa.
Pour le prix clairement il n’y a rien à dire et vous ne trouverez pas mieux.
