The cash key deposit is a scam. The property has two doors to get in, the deposit only gives you access to one of the doors, as a result you do not have access to the property unless the property owner is home. Additionally, you have to work around her work schedule and routine. As a result you have to be out of the door by 10 am and back for 7:30 pm to be let back in, otherwise you don’t have access to the property. She also has an early bedtime , making it hard to go out at night. You need to call her as well to be let back in making for an expensive phone bill if you do not have a French SIM card. There are also many pets on the property that are not listed (birds). There is no air conditioning as well. The description of the property is very misleading, you are essentially staying in her apartment , not a separate space. I tried to get a partial refund as we found out all these inconveniences only after check in but she was quite rude and dismissive. A huge let down, we had to book another place last minute.

No AC even in July! Late check in 7:30 PM with no flexibility or luggage holding. This is not a hotel, but a private residence. If you book the “art gallery” room with the mirror please know that it is a tiny room (see pictures) with no air and 1 window that you’re only allowed to open at night. To use the bathroom in the night, you need to leave the room and be on camera in a shared space. Plus, it’s actually located 200 meters away, so not advised if you have a lot of luggage. I’ve always trusted Hotels.com but after this experience I’ll need to vet much more carefully.

This place is NOT a hotel. Its a room for rent, with the owner across the hallway. No AC, no tv, bathroom tiny and smelled. 2 stars is a gift. If the price was 50E, I would have been satisfied.

It’s an old apartment. Carried my luggage to the fifth floor without a lift. The shower is too small, and the pipe was clogged. Toilet is shared, located outside of room.

A nightmare of disastrous proportions
I stayed here on 6 February and since I have the hotel a truthful review I wax thrown out by the owner after racial and personal abuse ! The room given was a mess with a bed only and no windows and toilet outside in hall ! No keys were given and I was constantly threatened by owner with her dog ! I had earlier complained to hotel com but they didn’t believe me this time I went to take photos and videos anx I have evidence now ! I shall upload those pictures and videos if needed !

I booked the hotel looking at website! A studio with double bed and breakfast! I arrived at1600 check in was at 1930! On fifth floor with no lift and toilet on seperate key outside bedroom!

I am a gold member with hotel com with 11 free nights to use means I have done 110 stays in last two years but this was exceptional and totally unacceptable on part of hotel !

Our hostess was incredibly delightful, Jamila made our stay memorable. The property is quaint and has so much character. It is very close to public transportation and takes about 10 minutes to get to the Old Port. Would love to return !

The room I had was in a beautiful old apartment. The landlady was one of the nicest people I have met and did her best to make you feel at home. The apartment was also home to an array of animals, including two lovely dogs, a beautiful tabby cat and a parrot. The location was ideal for me as I travelled to Marseille on Eurostar and the apartment is just a short walk from the station. It is also close to the Vieux Port and the museums. Breakfast was always served promptly and would galdly recommend this hotel.

Per carità... arriviamo alle 15:30 e non ci ha accolto nessuno, dopo svariate telefonate arriva la signora che ci cazzia perché eravamo in anticipo, non eravamo informate sul check in alle 19:30. Il pavimento all'ingrosso della ns stanza era pieno di escrementi di cane e la signora dopo 10 minuti se ne accorge e con disinvoltura li butta ne wc che sarebbe stato il nostro, condiviso con altri ma lo abbiamo capito dopo.
Quindi lasciamo gli zaini a terra con il rischio che 3 cani ci pisciassero sopra e al ritorno erano li ancora a terra nonostante che la stanza fosse pronta.\"cosa le costava metterli al riparo dentro\".
La stanza puzzava di cane, non credo che le lenzuola fossero lavate con il sapone perché puzzavano.
La notte ci siamo morte di freddo, i cuscini di arredo e le finestre non si chiudevano. Le persiane non potevano essere chiuse perché c'erano i vasi quindi ci siamo svegliate all'alba.
Alla mia gentile richiesta di un caffè alle 8:30 la signora mi ha detto che avrei dovuto aspettare le 9 perché era l'appuntamento della colazione fino alle 9:30.

I arrived quite late after my work and the owner was so nice and accommodating ! She asked me not to ring the bell so as to not wake the other guests and she waited for me to call her so she could open for me.
