Beautiful spacious room with a view! Hotel is in easy walking distance to the waterfront and all the museums and historic sites. We walked down from the train station easily but we took a Bolt to go back as it is uphill. The staff here was very friendly and gave us some good pointers. Highly recommend .

Parking outside is almost impossible - park in the secure car park 200 metres up the road and walk.
Nice hotel, but my water pressure was almost nil - the shower completely stopped for about 2 minutes and then came on cold.
The staff are great, the breakfast is great, just some plumbing issues to sort out…

We arrived a little earlier than normal. Check-in , stuff was great accommodating. We like the location of the hotel very convenient to shopping restaurants in the port. The only thing we didn’t like about this hotel is the bedding was very old. The mattress was old. It was squeaky. The duvet covers were torn in several places. It just seemed that they could’ve done a better job maintaining some of the amenities in the room and replacing the aging mattresses.

Reception refused to bring ironing board to the room as it was late (11:30) and I had to step down to the reception to collect it and bring it back. Room appeared a bit pricey for the cost.

A very nice hotel would recommend

The hotel is really well located and easy for getting around Marseille. The room was really good. The only slight thing is if you're sharing a room, any sounds from the bathroom, can be heard by anyone else in the room. It felt like a courtesy just to keep the TV running for that reason.

The reception staff were exceptionally friendly, warm and welcoming - especially Alessandra who was a very forgiving of my rather rudimentary level of French ( she does speak English perfectly but was kind enough to indulge my efforts).

The property is really well located being close to the port as well as the Les Terrases Mall. The room and hotel was also extremely clean, however post 7pm the staff didn’t answer the phone not just for room service but also to ask about available cab services to the airport

Very nice room, very clean, and spacious. The only restaurant on site served a very limited menu, and one person to service the entire restaurant. I will say that the food was good although they were out of a lot of the things that were on the menu.

As an Expedia gold member I was not offered either of the benefits that were listed with my booking. The hotel is very central, it is comfortable and the staff, particularly the young lady who was working on reception on Saturday were exceptional and couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. It was disappointing that the restaurant in the hotel was not open as I didn’t want to go out on my own, but the bar snack I was served was very tasty. The location is central and the property is very pleasant. Very comfortable bed and nice big bathroom.

We had no hot water, but were not informed when we checked in. The manager at that time was VERY accommodating and kind and helped us out.
The room was awful. It was sterile, almost hostile, in the way it looked. Stark and bare and just pushed us out as soon as possible. No one would like it in that space. The noise from the street, garbage collectors at 10:30 pm and street cleaners at 6 a.m. made it impossible to sleep for any significant amount of time. I would never ever recommend this hotel to anyone although the staff was very nice.

We moved multiple times during a three day stay as some rooms are very noisy with trams and cars passing directly in front all night. Courtyard rooms are quiet but the courtyard is very small hence lower floor rooms are very dark with little daylight.

From the moment I walked in I felt comfortable and welcomed by the staff. The property itself is divine from the lovely bar area, lobby and beautiful restaurant, they have done an outstanding job . Staff could not have been more welcoming, professional and helpful . I felt secure with plenty of measures taken place within the hotel and room itself . It was clean , well maintained and fully stocked . The incredible breakfast buffet was stocked generously, deliciously and thoughtfully. In line with the rest of NH every detail is thought of . Easy walk to train and 30 minute Uber ride from airport . Can’t recommend this lovely gem enough !! All this being said , I can be a picky one !!! 10/10 !!! Enjoy NH Marseille, you won’t regret it

Marseille had unusually warm weather when I was there, and the air conditioning at this hotel absolutely could not keep up. It was stifling, so warm I barely slept. My previous hotel in Spain, where it was far hotter, managed to keep the room beautifully cool, but this one failed miserably. Fine for the winter, I'm sure. Avoid in the summer, at least for room 410.

Not a 4* hotel, not worth your money

Not a 4* hotel, the room was very small and in a bad condition - dirty windows, old beaten furnitures, no place to put the luggage, not enough hangers for towels (so if you are two in a room good luck), coffee capsules without a coffee machine, etc. Other than the extremely disappointing room, the hotel has almost no amenities (only a gym). Not sure why this is a 4* hotel and has such a high rating.
The only good thing is the staff who were friendly and helpful.

Most of the things were great. Instructions on parking are poor. The hotel is concerned with the environment and you can cancel your daily cleaning service in exchange for a drink/day. However, when asked at the reception, they didn't offer a drink per night of stay (without room cleaning) as advertised.

There was an espresso machine in the room with coffee provided, my only criticism was that it was positioned on a shelf that made it very difficult to refill and use.
In the shower there was both a rainfall head and a direct one.
All in all very good.

It was very weird they couldn't find my reservation. Then they asked me to email them my reservation from hotels.com. The person at the reception used broken English and was hard to communicate. I really like NH hotels . The staff was very friendly and helpful during this covid situation. The room was perfect, great space, large sofa, chairs , desk , large mirrors, nice wallpaper, beautiful balcony space with views, this lobby was nice & clean . Great location , you can walk to shops, markets, and the pier ,mall, and the port etc.. great for families or Business trips etc... I really don't have any cons because my stay was great and when I return to Marseille i will be checking in to NH again. the ladies at the desk were awesome and so was my housekeeper . She was great .. This location is also close to the main train station and also local transportation right outside the hotel . I love it and plan to return soon.

Im a Fan of the NH Group, great hotels and services normally - conditions and rooms are excellent.

Only let down in this occasion was on checking in, greeting was limited to do you have ID, credit card please. No further info apart from the room number provided. Had to ask later regarding breakfast arrangements due to info on hotels intranet info which stated you had to book breakfast..

Also got called at 10pm to ask about the review which seemed unprofessional

Decent hotel although impersonal. What I didn’t like was the rudeness of the front desk, and their unwillingness to provide the room I paid for, or to make any amends for it. Also, in an international chain, the front desk should speak English. Disappointing.

The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the main attraction area around the old port area with restaurants and attractions.
Staff was friendly. WiFi was good. A few blocks to the train station but uphill from the hotel to the station.
My room was large and comfortable but the windows were not soundproof.
I would return to the hotel if in Marseille

I like NH chain. It's always nice, clean, client oriented. I had some tension with a guy at the reception checking in. It was quite stressful to park in the area, that's why. Otherwise I had an excellent experience. 10 min walk from the Vieux Port, safe area, place de la Republique nearby is a convenient spot to get anywhere you need. The parking availability is the only real pain. You can't stop at the entrance even for 30 sec.

It’s a good location once you get your bearings...it’s lovated on a busy intersection. Hotel lobby and restaurant is lovely. Make sure to book with breakfast since they do a nice continental breakfast. Rooms were nice.
