Located in 5-10 min walking distance to the marina. Pretty noicy for my taste, but I didn't know any better. Parking along the street of you want, but not recommended of you are stopping by for overnight, huge risk for having your car looted. Overall the area felt unsafe somehow. The hotel it self and the staff were great. Breakfast was just enough. The room needed some TLC, looked a bit worn.

Phenomenal Hotel for Marseille

This is a great place to stay. Very clean, large spaces, breakfast was offered for an inexpensive price, the bathrooms are spacious and the water pressure is great. They provided room service every day and kept the place extremely clean. Close to all of the great things to see, as well as the major train station.

The area is is very close to the mall and local restaurants the rooms have no air conditioning and the way to let air come in the room is leaving the window open. Having mosquitoes all over my room was not the best experience I had in France.

The beds were heavily stained with an unknown reddish-brown substance and stiff as all hell. I stayed for roughly fifteen minutes before discovering both of these, asking for a refund, and leaving. The staff were very understanding and kind, however.

Was not impressed at all. AC in room did not work. Very hot and stuffy. Couldn't open the window due to the mosquitos. No shower curtain in bathroom...so bathroom got soaked while taking shower. Only there for one night thank goodness. And to add, was told at check-in we could decide in the morning if we wanted to purchase breakfast. Morning came and we decided to eat breakfast but was turned away since we didn't reserve it the night before. What?!? Won't be staying there again.

Old hotel, our room was smelling like cigarette (despite asking for a non-smoking room). When we arrived, the door and windows were open, maybe they were trying to ventilate the room??, but it was not safety at all! Not to mention that there was a balcony and it was super dirty, full on dead trees and construction materials.

I saw the average rating of 3.5 which is generous in my mind. The hotel is on the edge of a bad neighborhood and the room was tiny with the two neds pished together to make one which i didnt want, pillows very low quality and not enoigh for comfort and finally, dirty shower curtain with mildew growing on it.

mixed bag but overall o.k. for what we were looking.
start wasnt great. arrived in the morning and whilst didn't expect to be able to check in thought i would be able to leave our two small sports bags. however first hotel I've stayed in with no luggage room.
thankfully we had a car so were able to leave in the boot which was not ideal but other options were to lug about with until 2pm, we arrived just after 10am, our to do a the hotel suggested and pay down the street for someone who you have no connection with to keep them. no thanks and already spent on the hotel.
Other downside was i was told parking on site at €15 was possible, however there was no space and as a result i ended up having to pay €50 at q park, again not a cost i was expecting. Perhaps there would have been age 2pm at check in time but staff did not advise and one didn't want the day bars around having to go back and move the car.
The hotel was grand, rooms and overall hotel it seemed very clean.
bed was comfortable.
located right beside Joillette metro or 20 min walk to the port so well placed to discover marsaille.

Recommended & really good value.

Very nice hotel. Modern & clean. Helpful & accommodating staff. We were a few hours early but they let us check in with no extra cost. Metro opposite & buses & trams 5 minutes walk away in La Joliette square. 15 minute walk to various tourist places & the bay.

Location was good. Price was good. We had to wait at least 10 minutes before the front desk staff came to the desk. The lady that was cleaning the kitchen floor and worked in the breakfast area really couldn’t care less about customers. When we did see someone at reception they were friendly and helpful. This was the smallest bare bones hotel I have ever stayed in. Not even a bar of soap in the bathroom. Our room was in the back of the hotel and was quite noisy from the local residents.

Excellent staff very friendly and helpful but rooms had no basic facilities like kettle or fridge and ensuite shower room had no shower curtain so room was soaked everytime. Breakfast was very limited no cereal or fruit and only bit of eggs and bacon could do alot better when u consider it's not a complimentary breakfast but a paid breakfast. Staff are the redeeming part of this hotel I doubt I will stay here again

Decent stay for the price!

The hotel front desk let us have a room before the 3pm check-in time, and held our bags for us after check-in. The AC in the room was great, and the bed was very comfortable. The bathrooms are what needs work - it was dingy, had weird stains on the walls and door handle, and there was no door or curtain for the shower - so water got everywhere. No toiletries were provided. Otherwise a decent stay for the price!

Sufficient for a quick stay but lacking basic amenities such as a minibar and safe in the room as well as soap for the bathroom sink (you have to use the shower gel).
Within walking distance of the port, local shops, restaurants and a shopping centre. About a 20 minute walk to the old port and about the same to the train station.

Good basic hotel, clean and comfortable rooms. Staff helpful, friendly and welcoming. Area ideal for getting around the city on foot and using the excellent public transport systems. Got 10x our money's worth by purchasing the 72 hour travel card which covered the bus to and from Cassis!

Our stay in Marseille

We stayed for 6 days. It was really nice experience the hotel is nice really clean and the A.C. and the free WiFi are definitely great pluses.

The staff is so friendly and so helpful. We loved them.

We loved the location is really central and there is a great shipping centre just down the road. The old port is quite close too there transport links are very close and easily approachble.

It was a great experience and we shall be back !

Good budget hotel close to centre of Marseille

I arrived at Marseille train station on the airport bus. The hotel is an easy 15 minute walk from the station, and is straightforward to find. The room was fairly basic, but clean and comfortable. I didn't book breakfast, but ended up taking it at the hotel every day - it's a well priced continental buffet. If you're a light sleeper ask for a room not on the street side - a nearby cafe/pub is a little noisy. You can walk into centre Marseille easily - either into Vieux Port directly along the Rue de la Republique, or along the water past the Cathedrale la Major and museums. There is a shopping mall and loads of cafes and restaurants near the hotel.

Parking was horrible, small and narrow, parking entry was often blocked by others cars.
I had dizziness, I could not sleep too low, I went to the reception, asked for another pillow, the receptionist told me that I had to come back to see a housekeeper, I did 2 times, the housekeeper was still absented, I was already late, I was very sleepy after a long trip, so I piled my clothes to make a pillow...

But 7 euro breakfast is worth it. The price of the hotel room is reasonable.

Very basic clean room, good location

It is a very basic room, but clean. Nice bed and a small table, there is a window with view. Bathroom basic as well, with shampoo-shower gel all in one. The curtain was a bit weird. No hair dryer which you can pay to get. There are tissues instead of toilet paper. What's good is the location which next to the La Joliete metro station and a 10 min walk to the port.

Well I cannot be critical of the hotel, the room was fine for it's purpose, the only feature lacking somewhat was the lack of a safe...which I must add, is very much needed in Marseille. You see Marseille is what the French may describe as \"une place de merde\". If you're into being tear gassed, attacked by police with flashbang grenades, a country where rail strikes on a continuous basis and a blatant disregard for the rules of the road are considered okay, then please visit Marseille. Otherwise avoid. Hotel is a 7/10, Marseille is a 2/10

Hotel was convenient between train connections - very close to La Joliette Metro station which is only 2 stops from St Charles Station Marseille (an absolute bonus during the taxi strike!) Big new Port shopping centre within close walking distance. Staff happy & friendly. Breakfast definitely good value. Luggage storage was easily organized. Never thought that I would say it but certainly welcomed the excellent McDonalds very close as being a Sunday most restaurants/bars were closed

The location is convenient, tram and metro line (Joliette) is just 20 m. away.
Hotel staff was friendly, but they have English problem and not east to communicate.
Hotel condition was not good. The room smelt cigarette...The carpets are filthy....
The breakfast was not good, and 6 EUR was not worth considering only coffee, bread, jam....I advise to stay here, but go breakfast to outside. On the bright side, you can enjoy the location advantage to discover the city :)

The hotel is good overall. The room is very small but is expected because in France. The bed is comfortable & the room is clean. The location is far from main attraction. Need to take Metro transit & change to a different line to the Vieux Port. The price is good. I will try a different hotel if I come back again.
