Good location, away from the casino buzz (20 minutes easy walk).
Nice view from the top floor rooms (though windows needed some cleaning on the outside).
Good breakfast, though it was typical chinese, lacking some western favourites such as juice, cereals and yogurt.

Walking distance to Old Taipa

We were looking for a small hotel that was clean, relatively quiet, away from the casinos and walking distance to Old Taipa, and Inn Hotel Macau checked all those boxes. Rooms were as pictured. Staff were very nice. Breakfast was Chinese but not a problem for us. I would consider staying there again.

My impression told me that after we stayed once a year in this hotel, everything is good to us but only noice sometimes people made when back from outside,talking too loud in the hall way waking me up in the middle of the sleep( one or two o'clock in the morning.

All staff at Inn Hotel were good, polite and helpful; however, a female staff (音译:鹃姐) at Grand Emperor's shuttle bus station was extremely rude. Would rate as 5 out of 5 if not because of that particular staff

Not again I was OK the staff can't speak English so that was not good the breakfast was bad I needed to eat out they held my clothes to rasom as I had over spent the deposit I gave them to them I gave them 500 hk and my laundry was 700hk so they would not give my clothes back till I paid even through I had 2 days left to stay no help in getting things you needed for the room so not a good place never again

Good hotel, short distance from the strip

Second time staying here and would go back.
Staff are helpful and most speak good English. Hotel is close to food and a supermarket, bus stops and a 15 min walk to Taipa for more food etc. Easy downhill walk to the larger casinos, and the free shuttle bus to the \"sister\" hotel (the Emperor), the airport (twice daily at 11am and pm), and the ferry terminal are all handy.
New this year was a mobile phone in every room (they've called it \"Handy\") that you can take with you when out and about. It has free 4G, maps, free phone calls and you can log into FB, email etc on it.. Totally free of charge!
Breakfast is good, rooms are clean and the pool is great after a hot day.
For the price and ammenities, it's hard to find somewhere as good as this.

The staff seemed nice, they didn't seem as welcoming as I expected. Outside of check-in and check-out they didn't really greet or interact with us at all. The room it self wasn't that bad, I found the bathroom to be a little outdated or in need of repair. The bathroom didn't seem to look very clean and had missing tiles on the wall. During our three night stay we actually had a total of 3 tiles randomly fall off the bathroom wall. The bed seemed small but comforitable, however, the pillows were just way to soft. It was almost as if there was not even a pillow and because of this, it was hard to get a good nights sleep.

Inn Hotel is just a good choice for us to stay in Macau. The room with 2 Queen size beds can accommodate up to 4 persons although it is only good for 2 persons. The front desk staff was kind and helpful. And it is not so far from most of the Casino Hotels. We would definitely recommend this hotel for your stay in Macau. We got the room for P3,780/night with breakfast, supposedly for two but 3 of us stayed in the room. Internet is fast in our room.

Clean & Spacious Hotel

Hotel rooms are big and are kept very clean.
Breakfast provided with one menu set (4 choices) plus a buffet spread of salad and various breads, etc.

Hotel provide transfers to Grand Emperor Hotel on a hourly interval schedule and for those who have evening flights to catch, there's one airport transfer at 4pm slot.
However it is a pity that they do not have airport transfer to Hotel.

They also provide complimentary supper (1 voucher per pax per day) to be redeemable at the Grand Emperor Hotel. The portion offered is surprising very generous and good food.

There is a free mobile phone provided in every room.
The mobile phone can be brought out of hotel to use.
Free calls and mobile data.
That is very convenient for tourists who only stay for a short time.
No need to buy a sim card.

We booked two rooms.
One double bed room and one twin bed room
Twin bed room is big and nice but double bed room is much smaller compared to twin bed room.
I think it is due to the building structure.
Water is hot enough; air-con is cold enough.

Breakfast, has 3 choices: American breakfast with ham, hash brown and eggs, Chinese style with porridge and fried mee, and another one is macaroni.
Taste not bad.

Hotel staffs are friendly enough to tell you about the transport services to other places.
However, it will be better if the hotel could provide shuttle bus service.
Before checking-in, we tried email hotel about shuttle service.
We did receive reply from hotel, but information provided is only the flyer about bus.
Follow-up email was unanswered.
Hope that hotel can improve on this.

Nice budget hotel

Everything of this hotel is average. Not terrible, but not good either, just average. However, consider the price tag compared to other hotels in Macau, it is definitely worth the money.

The room was not quiet; the fan of the air conditioner is fairly loud and sounds from the hallway can be heard, but it is not so bad that you can't go to sleep. The breakfast buffet is not tiny but small nevertheless; still it has enough food to keep you refreshed for the day. The sheets and towels are a little worn out, again, nothing I would complain to the staff, but not \"brand new\" either.

The location is great. The bus station is just outside the hotel and you can get to most places from there. There are easily 20+ restaurants within walking distance. All taxi drivers know the location of the hotel as well.

Note that the staff of the restaurant are lazy - the advertised closing time is 10:00 but in reality they either ask to you order a simple dish or refuse your order completely by 21:45.

Overall it is a very good budget hotel within the Taipa area. If you are just looking for a descent place to stay in Macau, without the casinos and luxury, then I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The room was new renovated though but cleaniness was terrible. The floor of the bathroom was full of hair and all the provided towels were awfully dirty. Pillows were too soft that you will found yourself sleeping on the bed in the midnight as your head slipped. Our necks were pain but they had no other options for us. The sound insulation was bad, we didnt sleep well during our stay.

Newly renovated mid-level hotel in Taipa

It appears this hotel has been freshly renovated. I found my room to be very spacious, even with the huge king size bed. Even the bathroom was roomy, including a big walk-in shower. One renovation glitch, though: the drain was extremely slow to empty the shower and I always felt like it might flood over. Everything was clean, housekeeping did a good job, and the furniture was all nice and new.

The location is quite conveniently located in Taipa. The Macau peninsula is more central, but I stayed there in the past, so I was happy to try a new part of the city. The hotel is just a 10 minute walk to Taipa Village, and from there it's just another few minutes to the Cotai Strip mega casino resorts (closest is the Galaxy, then after that is the Venetian, and from there the City of Dreams and others). The Cotai resorts have free shuttles to the peninsula, or there are bus stops right outside the hotel that go the Peninsula or Coloane for just a few Patacas.

We stay only for a few hours as we arrived very late and leave at 7 am. When we arrived (around 1 am) the reception guy was trying to charge us the deposit, no problem in that, only that I didn't had money in Macau currency, (and no credit card), but the guy didn't accept the RMB (China currency) I had, and kind of told us to go change the money. Then I tried to let my passport there as deposit, because I was really tired already and had to wake up really early. That's when the manager interfere and told us we could stay without a deposit for that night.

Besides that, the room is fine, the bed is great, really comfortable. Just to notice that I found a paper in the room saying that the pool was closed (since Jan 2015) until further notice, so, no pool.

Only one thing they are missing

An excellent stay for the money they charge. The hotel is newly refurbished so everything is brand new. Conveniently located (if you know Taipa) so every major tourist attraction are very close.

Only drawback - WiFi. In Macau, all the hotels (even 5 stars) are charging for WiFi - almost US$20 a day. In this hotel the WiFi was for free but it was dysfunctional. Was not able to access any link that starts with https - that includes the E-mail.

Was not a big problem as I still was able to read it on my smart phone and if I needed, I could go to any bar and coffee shop with my laptop.

So, overall it was great stay.

Everything was great , except that it was not close to any major casino to avail the free shuttle. Nonetheless they have a shuttle which goes only to the grand emperor palace in Macau city. The receptionist asked for a 500 hkd refundable deppsit. The bus stops are close by. They have a seperate plate of bf if ever you opt for it.

First of all, no one speaks English if one has little knowledge of what i was asking they did not want to help. I felt like i had no one to help me and felt unwanted. The windows in my room were shut and ceiled due to renovations and the air con was not working. I was stuck in a dark, cold room with no help. No airport shuttles, no view, no good reataurants around and the breakfast was terrible.

If i was tk go back, i would rather apend a little bit more and stay in a decent hotel.

Rest n relax in macau

New and spacious room. Though not near to major attraction, its quite convenient to grab a cab to taipa casino area n everywhere else. There is a nice authentic portuguese restaurant too. Pls give hotel breakfast a miss, its lousy. Better off trying local eateries just a block away from hotel.

Even with new management they still only give wifi in the lobby. They also change the password every few hours, and if many people are in the lobby it's ridiculously slow. Rooms have some smell, very outdated furnishings---lots of mildew smell, old faded 20 year TV, very few outlet plugs (England style wall socket), towels very thin and ragged and small. Location is convenient if you want to stay in Taipa. Can walk to Venitian in 15-20 min.

Location was not ideal for someone looking for a touristic place but it worked for me. Furthermore, not many people know about this place as they keep confusing it for the other Best Western. I had to take 2 different taxis on the same occasion as they kept insisting that this hotel was not located in Taipa.

This hotel save money for their electric bill, hence room only serve with stand lamp and desk lamp. No ceiling light provide.
Room still using traditional box TV instead of LED TV compare to others hotel.
Only 2 tea bag, no coffee provide in the room.
Big bath room, and clean.
Taxi grab from road side, not within the hotel location. Long waiting for a taxi among the crowd, therefore must catch and rush to the taxi as fast as you can.Closed to airport, taxi fare HKD45.
No shuttle bus to Venetian, City of Dream and Galaxy. Old record show there is, but now no more such service provide.
Swimming pool under renovate. No swimming to enjoy.
3rd floor restaurant newly open, food is expensive and not fresh.
Front desk staff still under training, lack of welcome face.
Hope the hotel will provide some customer training course to the staff.

Overall, not luxury but a save money hotel.

For the record, I spend about 80 nights annually in hotels around the world. I am living in Hong Kong and I was staying only 1 night in Macau to play poker. I checked in and left my things and directly went to the casino. I came back 2 in the morning just to find out that there was no electric power in the room when I inserted the keycard in the power switch slot.. The front desk did not answer the phone thus I had to go back down to the reception to notify them. Then one of the hotel staff came back with me to the room. The problem was apparently common and known by the hotel staff . The guy folded a piece of paper and inserted it into the slot and the power came on. Then it turned out that the bedside lights did not work because the lamps were broken and/or the electric cable was detached from the wall box. The air condition did work, but not very good. The air condition made so much noise that I had problems to sleep. The cleanliness of the room was poor. It was a long time since they had vacuumed thoroughly. It appeared that they have consecrated to vacuum a spot in the middle of the room.The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. To my mind the hotel is way overpriced. The price I paid was 1000HKD less than what they charge for a 2 room suite at the hard rock hotel. I had to deposit 500HKD and I was told when checking out that they will keep the 500 for a month. My advice is to stay away from this hotel.

The bed had a box spring, not a mattress. The tub couldn't be used, the plug was damaged. The sheets and pillow cases were old, the mirror damaged and lamp shade damaged. This is a cheap hotel for gamblers who come from Mainland China, therefore it is full of noise etc...The TV was old and the volume was damaged. The TV programming was all in Cantonese.

Won't consider this Hotel again!

Overall, my experience of staying in this hotel is not a good one and I will not consider to stay here again even though the price is cheap. I totally can't accept the Reception/Front desk service, all the staff were unfriendly, arrogant, not interested to serve and talk attitude. No smile from them and when you talk to them, they can't be bother to look at you at all. Hotel is run down with old furnitures and towels, mattress is super hard and room is so dark with limited lights. Only thing good about this hotel is the location and surrounding with restaurants and shops. Overall, not worth to consider this hotel again unless they are willing to make a change!

I was checked-in by tired looking staff in the front desk. Don't expect a smile on their face and extra communication. The hotel is overall quite aged. Rooms are spacious but basic. The colour of the room towels is very grey that I didn't dare to use it for cleaning my face. But with this lower price comparing to other hotels in the golden week, I couldn't expect anything more.

This place is so moldy it unfortunately can't be burned down. Despite the pretty pictures and the beautiful lobby, this is the most disgusting place I have ever stayed. The walls are moldy green. Beyond that, the rude staff did not help. Do yourself a favor and pay and avoid this place by all means. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Disgusting!

Very convenient, big room, clean and tidy.

Extremely good place to stay in. Its my third time staying in this hotel. Its easy to get there, though located off main island macau, it is easily accessible to get the Macau city centre. Plenty of buses to get you to Sedano Square and other places of interest. There is also a courtesy free shuttle bus that brings you to Venetian Macao and Macau Ferry Terminal. Overall, bed was big, comfortable and room was big. Definitely a good choice to stay in. =)

BAD deal for your dollar

I figured the 20 dollar savings over one of the nearby casinos would pay for itself since we didn't really plan to be at the hotel that much. How wrong I was. I'll start with transportation. It's non existent as far as the Best Western is concerned. They advertise downtown service on a first come first serve basis. Truth is, they will take you to the ferry terminal only and that is about every 2 or 3 hours.
Next, quality of room. Be advised, in Asia, they like to smoke. But after requesting a non-smoking room we were promptly put onto a smoking floor and room. The stench was unbearable and when we requested a new room we were told (in about the only english anyone spoke there) \"no more room\".
Next subject. The staff spoke no english, I can appreciate that I am a guest in a different country. That I get. But come on. Every attempt to communicate was met with the \"please don't bother any me more\",look and attitude. So many things we went without like an electrical adapter or a log in for the free wi-fi (that you had to stand in a two foot square area in the middle of the main lobby to get).
The breakfast was a nightmare as well. People ran you over to eat the uncooked beans and extremely overcooked boil eggs.
When room service communication failed to recognize it was a fork or chop sticks I was requesting, I took it upon myself to go to the dinning room and retrieve one. Oh my God, huge mistake. I was met by the most resistant kitchen staff member that acted as I was taking his personal prized fork. Long stare,resounding NO. Then what certainly amazed me \"call room service\". The most english I had heard yet. So I called room service, no communication. Simple \"sorry\".
The bed. Hard. Asian style is hard, but this was HARD. Like the floor. Speaking of, upon looking under the bed on our departure, I found a shoe (not mine) and food (not crumbs....food) under there. Housekeeping is not a highlight here. When we checked in there was only a small amount of TP on the roll with no spare. Not a good thing to find out when you really need it. Long story short. Bad deal. Galaxy or Venetian are close by, have comparable rates and transportation is constant to other areas and casinos.

Bed Bites!!!

We booked a deluxe room for our 3 nights stay in macau. At our first night, we really can't sleep well coz there's a lot of bedbites. After that, we asked the receptionist if they can give us another room, she asked us to wait after 2pm checkout of the guest. Ahen we got the back, at our suprised the room is really smaller than the old one we had. Not worth the price we paid for.

The extra bed not confort at all as i compare to i stay at Metropark Hotel in Kawloon, Hong kong. I feel very disappointed from what i expect to get the service and stay in Best Western Hotel in Macau. Luckily I only stay one night there..

Hotel service was very poor. Staff cannot speak english. They forgot to wake me up at 6:30 AM, Lucky that I did not missed my plane. Bed was stone hard that can cause back pains. Towels were dirty, with patches on its holes. Some towels were cut, joint and stetched instead of being discarded. I asked it to be replaced but what they give were on same conditions. They should improve.

Reasonable priced hotel

The plus point about this hotel:

- The huge rooms
- The free shuttle bus to city of dreams which connects me to everywhere I wanted to go in Macau.
- There is a public bus across the hotel that brings you to the border gate to Zhu Hai.

The bad points:
- Dark rooms - barely any bright lights in the room.
- No wifi in the whole hotel!
- No obvious shuttle bus to be seen at the ferry terminal. The staff claims that it's just a 3 star hotel so there is nobody at the terminal to hold the hotel card to direct guests.
- Counter staff seems disinterested to serve customers and answer questions. May even appear rude.
- There is nothing much to shop or eat around the hotel surrounding.

I won't stay in this hotel again if I visit Macau.

Not bad location

The hotel is not badly situated close to the historical region on Taipa. Close to transport and sites. Unfortunately the hotel has a cool atmosphere. The staff is not very friendly and is very busy with tour groups. Sadly we struggled to find staff that could understand English.

Best Western Macau (Taipa) - Okay place to stay

It was my first time visiting Macau. Macau is separated into 3 \"islands\" and Best Western is located on Taipa with the big casinos like Venetian and Galaxy. There are nothing special about the rooms for Best Western that I can point out. It is just a clean place for you to spend a night. The only con that I can find is the wifi in the hotel. They provide free wired AND wireless high speed internet but in order to receive the wifi signal, you must stay right between the front desk and the Mocha room and the signal isn't very stable. But one good thing to point out is their shuttle service. Their shuttle leaves the hotel every hour to the Macau Ferry Harbor and to the Venetian/City of Dreams so getting around is semi convenient. Actually walking to the Venetian takes about 40mins and 10mins to McDonalds. Nothing good to eat around the hotel. I would suggest taking the shuttle to the City of Dreams and eat inside the food court.

a nightmare stay in this hotel...

Request non-smoking rooms, but hotel staff gave us smoking rooms. The beds are very hard. Bedsheets, towels, carpets are dirty.

Best western hotel

As many review mentioned before,beds too hard for most people.Sound proof too bad.Reception staff seems ok,but house keeping staff not helpful,unwilling
deliver extra pillow or blanket.Paid for extra person,but
towel,pillow etc are only for 2 people.

Best Western Hotel Taipa-Macau-worst hotel ever

Not only was the service bad but the facility itself is old. Compared to other Best Western Hotels I stayed in, this is the worst. Best Western should revoke their liscence to operate as a Best Western Hotel. They did not even accept my Best Western rewards card. Will never stay there again.

Best Western hotel in Taipa has beautiful rooms and a nice surrounding area with a nice green hill. It is also close to Venetian and Hard Rock but it is longer to Macao. The rooms don't feel very clean and there is an extra fee if you want to use internet on your room, which can irritate people if you are not prepared.

Best Western Taipa - disgusting rooms!

The rooms are cheap.. so I was expecting a no frills basic room. But when I reached, the hotel looked shabby at first. The reception people were not helpful at all and somewhat rude. But I didn't care too much about that so it didn't matter. But the room was really horrible - it stinked bad! the beds were hard and had insects come over at night - it was sick. I would rather stay in a hostel to save money than this dump or spend a little more and stay in a nicer hotel.

We stayed Friday night. Still can enjoy the free upgrade, though not guaranteed. Large beds. 10 minutes walk to Taipa old city. Old Facilities, but good service from breakfast waiter/reception/housekeeping. Large Mocha casino provide free water.
Need to improve: no shuttle to Taipa ferry Terminal. Every hour has only one shuttle to go though Macau Terminal & Venetian. Hotel website should indicate the public bus number reaching it: AP1, 21A, 25, ...

Service is neutral. Not too good, not too bad.

Cleanliness is there. Bed is a little bit hard but still ok to sleep on.

The courtesy bus that leaves every hour from the hotel to the Macau-HK Ferry Terminal and Venetian Macau is probably a plus factor.

Else, getting to the city centre of Macau is via their MOP 4.20 public bus, and the hotel is about 15 mins away from the city centre.

Hotel Best Western

cheap hotel and provides extremely basic needs. Staff is absolutely unattentive. They don't care about your luggage, check-in, shuttle service, etc.

It is not a hotel, but a hostel and should be treated as one.

don't stay here. instead try for better rates elsewhere...

1.Near Aiport, taxi fees only MOP 31 included 2 large luggage.
2.Beware of RUDE, IDIOT, UNFRIENDY Taxi driver when you take a take from Venetian back to hotel, they will show you their FVCK FACE when they heard you say you are going back to Best Western Hotel, 'cause the fees is only MOP13 from Venetian. SCREW THEM!!!
3.Nearby have a supermarket where you can get cheaper drinks and some snack.

Good price and good location.

Good price and good location. A walking distance to Taipa City. The hotel also provides free shuttle to the important tourist spots and ferry pier. However, the frequency of 1 for 1 hour is surely insufficient. The hotel is quite old and the sound proof of room is poor. One can easily listen to the noise made from your next room.
