Stuffs responded quickly to requests.
We chose the Chinese Dim Dum for late breakfast. It starts after the regular breakfast closes. Every item was delicious and also inexpensive.
Balcony is spacious. It has an beautiful ocean view.
I Love that hotel and will definitely return next time I visit Macau.

Do the breakfast, huge selection, many tastes catered for and was fresh, clean and delicious.

There are so many little extras this hotel has that really elevated the stay. Such as the well equipped kids room, selection of games, kids activities, pool toys and floaties, obstacles over the pool, room size ++, daily water bottles left it in the room, bath sheets.

We utilised taxi, local bus and shuttle bus, all were easy to use and the staff assisted wherever we needed, though really noone had much desire to leave the resort anyway.

All staff were accommodating and friendly, without a doubt would happily return.

We had an enjoyable stay at Grand Coloane. The room is very nice and spacious. Service is excellent, great breakfast spread.

Serene surroundings by the water. There is a shuttle bus to the Grand Lisboa hotel. Overall a nice hotel if you’re looking for a more quiet atmosphere.

Relaxing family stay

Great stay. Our kids absolutely loved it. Playroom was perfect for both our baby and 4-year old. Daily craft activities were also lovely for the older one. We found the restaurant food to be good and the pool was a perfect size and not too busy. It was great to have all the facilities on site.

Hotel is located in a secluded area and very remote from the city center. We had to take taxi or hotel shuttle to get to the action. Also, hotel is very dated and old. TV did not work (had no signals) for more than a day. If you like having your own balcony to an ocean view, then consider this hotel. Otherwise I would recommend staying at one of the newer and more modern hotel on the Cotai strip due to the dated facility and remote location.

The Grand Coloane is a great place to get away for a different e-work environment or family vacation. I highly recommend staying ocean side. Sitting on the balcony at night or early morning is quite relaxing. The staff are very helpful and kind.

The staffs were great. The facilities were great. The building was a bit run down. The hotel may or may not worth the 5 stars. One big problem is transportation as the Taxi in Macau is basically mafia operated with no Uber or Grab or Ola or Didi or Gocar. Several times we had to rely on public bus.

It is a spacious hotel in a location that you can see a different side of Macau. Love the beach and sea view from the hotel room. The swimming pool area also nice and kids friendly environment.

The only down point is that it is not at a very convenient location that you might have difficulties for getting a taxi during peak hour if you have missed the shuttle bus or buses outside the hotel (they all runs in every 30 minutes).

Also, it would be nice if they had a convenient shop inside the hotel. As if customers need some daily necessity or snacks, they would have to bring themselves or travel back to the main city center to get them.

Billy, Director of Rooms, helped us assure all details in place, as we traveled with baby and had many requests. Then, the F&B room service and pool staff was excellent too. Very accommodating and beautiful setup for birthday. We stayed at this property ALWAYS when in Macau, before called Westin, now changed name. We would continue staying there.

Me and my husband stay a night for our wedding anniversary. It’s a beautiful hotel and the staff are so nice and helpful. It’s very big space no matter the room, swimming pool and garden. And we love the singing bird and sea view. If they can do some renovation for the property even better !

A nice resort, close to the beach, and there is an excellent Portuguese restaurant close by (not part of the hotel). Spacious rooms with large balconies overlooking the beach, ocean or gardens. The property is a little run down but the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Needs a new make over!

Hotel has a beautiful setting fronting ocean and backing against hills. However, it’s generally dated and needs refurbishing. Stair Carpets leading to indoor swimming pools actually have sand and dirt, and should be at least vacuum cleaned. Dirt on carpets were there for the 4 days of my stay and remained uncleaned. Transportation to Coloane central, Taipa and Macao proper is spotty and difficult to arrange especially in evenings.

I was shocked the last time I stayed at Grand Coloane. None of the facilities was in operation. Room service stopped at 23:00. Most public areas of the hotel had fallen into an absolute state of disrepair. At the time of booking there was no warning about any of this. I made management aware. They apologised and explained the hotel had been used as a quarantine facility until recently. I'm unsure why they'd think that's of any relevance to guests? They authorised an early check out without penalties but no further compensation was offered. My advice is stay away until they get their act together.

The hotel although a bit tired was lovely. The setting was a very relaxing one away from the busy parts of Macau. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms are large with a good size bathroom. We would definitely stay there again.

A mind-refreshing trip

It was a pleasant stay with Grand Coloane. Nice outdoor and indoor swimming pools. Can’t miss the breakfast buffet.
However, there are things to improve:
1. Provide both short and long towels instead of one-sized towel;
2. Gym facilities — a bit outdated and some are even broken. TVs didn’t work.
3. Dinner buffet only available on Friday nights - should be provided in public holidays.

I stayed in Grand Coloane 19-23 September 2019 as was asked for deposit of MOP 2000. I did not consume anything during my stay but the reception did not void my credit card and charged MOP 2000 to my credit card.

A relaxing and resort experience in Macau

Great resort hotel away from the tourists centre but an easy 15 minutes taxi ride to get to Taipa centre, or hotel shutter runs every 30 minutes. Great service, enthusiatic staffs. Hotel and facilities are dated and need a renovation. Bed too soft to my liking and the shower water only gets to luke warm. I've been back many times since it's reasonably priced compare to the casino themed hotels and I like the relaxing and resort ambience.

Hotel needs major work.

The hotel is very dirty - the building is old and mouldy, the mattress and toilet floor had hair, the perimeter of the room is extremely dusty. We were travelling with young children; so this hotel’s cleanliness is not suitable for young children or families who care about cleanliness. We were warned that this hotel required some tender loving care and a little dated so we went with managed expectations. However, the basic expectation of the hotel to be clean was not even met. We couldn’t wait to leave the hotel on checkout day.
Play area was too hot for kids to play during the day; slides etc were too hot to the touch. The blow up play slide was set up in the afternoon which was too hot to play, maybe the morning time might be more conducive.
Service is a little rough but they’re all generally very helpful.
We were aware of the hotel’s location when making reservations, so no issue there. In fact it was a nice surprise to know of the panda pavilion close to the hotel.

We always love to stay here, even if it's a bit old; we like the faded charm. It's a bit out of the way, but there's a free shuttle that's frequent enough for the needs of a family like ours, with our toddler. Staff are friendly, and the food is fine.

It is an older hotel but rooms are nice and big. Staff are friendly but I was there over a Hong Kong long weekend and they definitely needed to be more efficient - particularly around the pool and for check-out. Breakfast was reasonable for the price but very busy. We got the shuttle there but it was full for dinners and check-out.

This hotel was formerly a Westin property, now it is managed under a Mainland China company, as such, the hotel imposes some very odd and strange \"check-in\" policies. If you want a quiet and spacious hotel that is far away from the hustle and buzzle downtown, this hotel is for you, but the hotel really requires some serious renovations, especially the outer walls. The swimming pool is spacious but it also requires some serious cleaning. Most of the hotel staffs are courteous and the breakfast is sumptuous. The free shuttle bus that runs and stops at various strategic parts of the island is also very convenient, and the ocean view in most rooms is great!

Many reviews said the hotel is old and worn out, but I don’t feel so. I mean, the hotel has been around for quite some time so some natural wear and tear is normal. I can see the staff has done a great deal to upkeep the cleanliness of the hotel in the rooms or pools/gardens etc. I can often see handyman doing repairing in corridors and rooms too. Having said that, it would be great for the owner to do some renovation so as not to waste the great facilities !
