Drinks at the pool bar weren't very strong. I don't believe I ran into a single intoxicated person at the resort pool over my 4 days there. That was a little weird considering the World Cup was in full swing and the resort had a large number of people from the UK that were very much into the celebrations.
Everything else at the resort was wonderful and the staff was exceptional.

I have been to the DR 4 times now and stayed in 4 different places. This place blows them all away. From the easy access to beach pool, to the cleanliness, to the friendly and helpful staff. Food is decent as well. They also control the seaweed so I was in the ocean in crystal clean water everyday. The whole place was truly impressive and I will definitely come here again.

The staff was very helpful. I lost my Air Pods in the lobby area for almost 24h and they were able to find them for me.

The only thing I didn’t particularly enjoy was having to change room because the A/C in my first room was stuck at 24 degrees.

Food wise I think everyone should try the Tomahawk at the Quimera restaurant. It’s HUGE and the medium rare cooking was on point. I Recommend it for 2x people at least. It’s just too freakin big. (9/10)

Our stay at Melia Wellness All-Inclusive started well with a smooth check-in and a beautiful property. However, the experience quickly became disappointing.

We were encouraged to upgrade to The Level based on promises of a private beach and exclusive pools. In reality, the upgrade mainly provided a room closer to the beach and access to one additional restaurant. The beach is not private, and the pools are shared with other guests, making the upgrade feel misleading and not worth the extra cost.

The biggest issue was the service. We have stayed at many all-inclusive resorts and have never experienced such a lack of attentiveness. There was no drink service at the beach or pools, and the pool bar was consistently understaffed. Waiting 20–30 minutes for a drink was common. The level of hospitality simply did not meet expectations for a resort of this caliber.

We were also repeatedly approached by staff asking us to leave positive reviews using QR codes, including during checkout. This made many of the perfect online ratings seem less authentic.

Punta Cana is beautiful, and we will definitely return, but we would not stay at a Melia property again. Based on our experience, this resort is a 3 out of 5 at best.

The staff is amazing. At check in Juaneiry was very professional. She was kind, enthusiastic, funny and helpful. At the restaurant Miguel made sure everything was Ok. The ladies and gentlemen that work there were always willing to assist to fulfill our needs.
We called front desk at 4:20 am. For an electrical failure, and in less than 10 minutes we had the electrician solving the issue.
Our room was neat. The only improvement needed was the minifridge. The temperature was not cold enough.
Regarding the rooms close to the events, it would be a plus to have a room with antiimpact doors to avoid the noise while you sleep, or count with ear plugs to have a restful sleep.

My husband and I stayed at Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort. While the property is beautiful, the experience was disappointing due to poor management, inconsistent service, and lack of maintenance.
From arrival, staff were unfriendly and offered little guidance. We were passed between employees and often felt like an inconvenience. Check-in was no better, and staff failed to mention that the restaurant reservation kiosk does not work on guests' first day, wasting our time.
We booked a package that included daily massages, but were initially told this benefit had been canceled. Thankfully, the spa eventually honored it and was one of the highlights of our stay.
We stayed on The Level side and found roaches in our room. The room was poorly maintained, stained, and housekeeping rarely occurred unless requested. The pools and fountains also appeared dirty and poorly maintained.
For a wellness resort, relaxation was surprisingly difficult. Loud music played at The Level pool, the gym was extremely small, and staff constantly approached us to sell upgrades, excursions, or request positive reviews. Even while waiting for airport transportation, we were approached multiple times about completing surveys.
The food was bland and often seemed watered down, including drinks and smoothies. On our final night, my husband became ill after dining at Mar de Sal.

The spa and landscaping were excellent, and Alejandro Estrellas deserves recognition for being genuinely helpful.

We were a group of 13 people get reservations for restaurants was a little bit difficult but we made it to three different restaurants. Food was amazing every where. We were staying a Level and moving to the general lobby was slow because they don’t have enough carts to move people around. But the drivers were really nice and patient with the situation.

The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating, making every guest feel welcome. The swim-up bar is excellent and offers a beautiful view, creating a perfect spot to relax. The housekeeping team is honest, reliable, and easy to get along with, providing outstanding service throughout the stay. The resort’s peaceful and tranquil atmosphere is one of its best features, making it an ideal place to unwind. The food is delicious and offers a great variety. The only downside is that there are no designated smoking areas, so cigar smoke can be present in some areas. Guests with cigar smoke allergies or sensitivities should keep this in mind. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

The grounds are beautifully maintained & very clean, including the pool area & beach. There are several good dining options & the daily activities were diverse & enjoyable.The room was spacious & spotless, although some updates are needed throughout the property. Unfortunately, service did not meet the standards I expect from a Meliá resort. At the swim-up bar, bartenders often seemed more interested in talking amongst themselves than assisting guests. The staff was also extremely persistent about scheduling Circle Membership presentations, regardless of whether guests were already members. The \"free lobster or steak dinner\" offer turns into repeated pressure to attend a sales meeting. Communication between staff & guests needs improvement. Dining reservations are made for you but finding out where and when you're dining often requires tracking down multiple staff members.The gym is disappointing—very small, not at all a resort fitness center & the ceiling was leaking during our stay. Not what you imagine from a Wellness Center. Spa is mediocre. There was no staff available to direct guests, towels were unavailable, amenities were empty & the overall service was ok at best. Guests receive a coupon book at check-in that includes 4-$80 spa vouchers but it is not clearly explained that only 1 voucher of $20 can be used per visit. Overall we had a good trip thanks to the beautiful grounds, & enjoyable activities but don't expect clear communication or exceptional service.

The grounds of the property, pool, restaurants, and beaches are excellent and beautiful. The downfall came with the horrible communication and management of of how things are done with the front desk (Annie) making mistakes with giving us the wrong room at first, giving us incorrect information about the massage timing special, and then checking us out one day earlier that our wristbands stopped working when we went to our room and had to get it activated again at the front desk. The wait time for the shuttles can be better, especially if you kno breakfast and dinner reservations are your peak times. It seems the wait for the shuttle is a long way during these timeframes. Problems reserving the restaurants at Serendipia. No one seems to actually help you with this and it would be nice if you actually get a person to stand by the machine to help the guest. The last issue was being told the delivery charge everytime for room service of $10 and them not knowing or checking my account that I have Expedia perks and it's free. So this was an issue every time. For me to handle these issues felt like I was working instead of enjoying my vacation. I will say thank goodness you have WhatsApp and guest service calling the room to help with all these issues that occurred. If they can get this right this has the potential of a 5 star but when you can't get the front desk and other issues correct it make it a 3 star resort.

The resort is beautiful and the views are definitely the best part. It’s a great place for pictures, and the property itself is very large. However, that size became a major downside during our stay.

We were told the shuttles run every 12 minutes, but that was not our experience at all. The main pool, beach access, and buffets are on the opposite side of the property, which can be about a 20-minute walk in the heat. We ended up doing far more walking than expected and I even left with blisters on my feet.

We were also told upon arrival that the bar and snack bar were open 24 hours. During our 5-day stay, the bar closed around midnight every night and the snack bar was never open late when we checked.

The service at the bars was disappointing. It often took 10+ minutes just to get a drink, and the staff generally seemed uninterested. Compared to other all-inclusive resorts I’ve visited, the service was lacking.

The food was decent but nothing memorable. Overall, the beautiful scenery was the highlight of the trip, but due to the transportation issues, inconsistent information, and slow service, I personally would not stay here again.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Meliá Hotel. The resort itself is beautiful, spotless, and incredibly relaxing, but what truly made the experience exceptional was the staff. Every single member of the team went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and well looked after throughout my stay.

As someone with Celiac disease, travelling can sometimes be stressful when it comes to food and dining options, but the staff were outstanding. They took my dietary requirements seriously, explained gluten-free options carefully, and always made me feel safe and reassured during every meal. Their attention to detail and kindness genuinely made such a difference to my holiday experience.

The service across the hotel was warm, professional, and welcoming from start to finish. The added touches, including the complimentary massage for booking, made the stay feel even more special and luxurious.

The Melia Wellness Adults Only was excellent. The moment you pull up to the lobby, you'll see the grounds are gorgeous and beautifully maintained. The lobby is meticulously clean and zen-like, so we actually spent quite a bit of time there attending shows and relaxing with drinks at the bar. The rooms are cleaned very well and mini bar stocked daily. The cleanliness of the resort is top-notch. The extra bath amenities like, toothbrush, toothpaste, nail file, razors, etc are a very nice touch. I especially liked the scented toilet paper, robes and slippers! This is a very large resort so using the golf cart shuttles to/from the lobby from my building near the pool were a must. The wait time can sometimes be 10-15 minutes during peak times like immediately after the nightly entertainment. The breakfast/lunch buffet was good, but the dinner buffet was excellent. I would rate the food better than most resorts. There are also nice reservation only options as well. The main pool was fun with the daily activities and swim up bar. Bartenders at the swim up were a lot of fun. A nice feature of the resort is the use of glass drinkware at the buffets and nice plastic drinkware at the pool and beach. No ugly disposable plastic cups to be seen! The beach is cleaned every night and seaweed is noticeably less than the surrounding resorts. Overall, this is a fantastic place for the price.

Pool was very clean but the girl doing the aqua gym was had a rude attitude all the time towards the people in the pool and even her own co-worker. That made several people not wanted to participate. The hotel is beautiful and the grounds are impeccably maintained, The environment is pleasant and vast majority of staff very helpful and pleasant.Unfortunately our stay was marred by the unprofessional handling of a booking error and subsequent interactions regarding \"The Level\" access.
Initially, we were granted Level access through our Expedia Rewards membership. However, when we attempted to book the Level restaurants, we were given conflicting information. After being told by the concierge that we were limited to a single visit, we left a 3-star review reflecting this restriction and ambiguity around the Level Service.
Following the review, the concierge contacted us via text to admit a mistake had been made and offered restaurant access for the duration of our stay. Unfortunately, the self-service booking system still did not function for us, and the repeated follow-up calls and texts from the concierge became intrusive rather than helpful. Because we could not book independently and wished to avoid further awkward confrontations, we stopped using the service entirely.
Another unprofessional aspect of our stay occurred during checkout. We were explicitly asked to change our 3-star review to a 5-star rating, and we were subsequently pressured by two additional staff members to do the same while waiting to depart. This, combined with an aggressive approach from the excursion sales staff, felt pushy and uncalled for.
A good stay soured by a few staff members.

Great experience — I would highly recommend this place!
The only minor annoyances were getting to the lobby. You either have to wait about 15 minutes for a cart to come by, or walk a long way. Other than that, they cart your luggage to your room, which is super convenient. The bars can be a bit slow (it sometimes takes a while to get your drink), but everything else was amazing. The massage was especially top-tier!
The rooms were clean, and the staff were all very friendly. It’s also an adults-only vibe with no kids around, which was perfect. The excursions they recommended were awesome too — and those were kid-free as well.

Where do I begin. After months of planning and research we (my two girlfriends and I) chose to stay here. The idea of an adults 4-5 star WELLNESS spa resort was very appealing.
I proactively sent an emailed the resort on April 28th to share that we would be booking separate rooms but would feel safe if our rooms were located near one another. Our request was honored and we were placed in adjacent rooms and one very near by.
We were told to go to buffet for lunch and we could make dinner reservations there for the night.
As soon as we arrived to the host stand we were told that we could NOT reserve any dinner on the first night and we would have to go to the buffet for dinner, we were able to talk to someone to have dinner at the LEVEL.

That night my friend experienced an infestation of bugs from 10pm-12am after staff gaslighted her by “cleaning” and telling her there were no other rooms available she was finally moved after midnight to room on the opposite side of the resort that was significantly less than she payed for.
After taking a hard stance and the manager witnessing the video
Of the infestation she was given the master suite and we wee all upgraded to the Level.

I have never had a worse vacation in my life. Upon arrival the staff was extremely unfriendly and not helpful. We had issues with getting a room with two beds. The room we got was not clean and had flies and mosquitoes everywhere, dirty shower with hair (not ours). We complained and were assisted with getting the room “fumigated and deep cleaned” the next day. That same day we came home from dinner to our door left open and unlocked for anyone to steal our belongings. Upon entering the room and showering there was a cockroach in the bathroom. We called the front desk they sent someone (a whole hour later) who sprayed chemicals. After he sprayed we saw SIX more roaches that were massive.. absolutely disgusting. We then got another room for the night (after having to lug all our luggage to lobby at 1am). They had no rooms with two beds so my friend had to sleep on a COT for the night. The next day they got us a THIRD room and “upgraded” us. They tried to make me sign an agreement to not leave a review to which I refused. The majority of the food was not good whatsoever. The property is huge and the shuttles are hard to catch they do not run often enough. We did have help from Natividad at the front desk. She was wonderful at doing everything she could to improve our stay but unfortunately after everything that took place our vacation was ruined. I went for my 30th birthday thinking it would be fun and relaxing it was anything but that. Would never recommend anyone stay here.

Llyeris and Maria, whom led the bike tour, were full of energy and informative.
Felix helped us to and from our room. Each time with a smile on his face and willingness to help.
Frandy was a great concierge and provided us with assistance whenever necessary.
My hair got messed up during the trip so I went over to Spa on the Caribe/Family side. Although the spa was great, the carts there only cater to the level staff. I waited close to 30 mins to be picked up while being passed multiple times.
The staff over at the Level, was not very friendly. I asked for directions when I first arrived and they stared at me and one even ignored me.
However, most of the staff on the resort were very pleasant.
Dinner on the beach was very mid. Wouldn’t recommend unless you’re wanting just the experience. However, there are mosquitoes and not much of a view.
The buffet or the Vietnamese restaurant are at the top of the list for me.
The rooms are a little run down in my opinion but the experience as a whole makes it satisfactory

Where do i start (Im Dominican and have stayed in plenty of hotels in Punta Cana)

check in: staff are slow, it was HOT(barely any fans), there was no welcome drink or towel to clean your hands. The trolley train is SLOW and does not come around often, if your room is on the 2nd fl good luck, the staff will carry one bag, you have to carry the rest(no elevator)

Rooms: could use upgrades, there was paint splatter on the fridge, plaster on the wall, ac in my room was not cooling at temp set, i had to call for hot water, GOOD LUCK getting someone to take an order for room service (i called 6x and was left on hold, i went to sleep hungry). The QR code on the map they provide is tiny and its difficult to scan. The night snack bar is a joke.

Food: MEDIOCRE....i had the upgrade \"Level\", I was not impressed.

Drinks: Bring your own liquor, the alcohol in the hotel is not top shelf. Not enough staff to make drinks. NO STAFF TO TAKE ANY ORDERS BY THE POOL (first time Ive experienced this in a all inclusive)

Pool: older, no music, NO STAFF TO ORDER DRINKS/FOOD. They take the \"wellness\" very serious, you have to get up and get your own drinks. Minimal entertainment. Wine:poor quality.

The night entertainment was nice and our group enjoyed.

Overall, I was not happy and would not recommend.

It a great property with a beautiful beach, well maintained grounds, good amenities, excellent staff.
The food is OK but the choices are very limited and they also add sugar to yogurt and some juices which really doesn’t make sense.
There are so many mosquitoes that I would definitely not go back this resort.

My family of 5 and I enjoyed a week long restful vacation at this particular resort. The restaurants , buffet, wait staff, cooks were attentive and very engaging with the public. I personally enjoyed the omelette station cook which was a very nice man making sure the omelette was on point every morning. Frandy our appointed concierge was in touch with our family daily from morning to evening making sure all our needs were taken care of. Frandy, went above and beyond making sure my kids were up to speed with all the amenities the resort had to offer. Quite frankly, Frandy made the trip a 10 out of 10. The resort is lucky to have Frandy and a team to back him.

Melia Punta Cana Beach now holds a special place in my friends and I's hearts. We went there for a girls trip and to celebrate 2 out of 4 of our birthdays. From check in to check out we recieved fhe best hospitality from everyone. The food was great and had a very good variety daily. I especially loved that they included local favourites into every meal and lots of freah fruits ans vegtables. It is definately a wellness hotel and you got that in almost wvery moment. We were surprised wifhba birthday cake and sparkling wine and when we needed assistance someone was there anytime of the day. I have to give special mention to Frandy, Jacinth, Ruth & Karen from Guest services AWESOME TEAM!! Robert, Nico & Wilfred our awesome bellmen and drivers around the property, Renzo & Benjamin from the service staff, Pedro from the pool/towels area, Brandy and last but not least Cebi from the main gate. WELL DONE TEAM MELIA!!! Thank you very much for making feel so much at home during our stay. Lots of love from Jamaica 🇯🇲

One of the best resort I have visited by far. The ambiance Organization and intentionality displayed in everything at the resort stands it apart. Nothing was left to chance the staff understands client satisfaction and delivers top notch services always. The front desk, cart drivers and other staff were all friendly and ever willing to help. The restaurants deliver a whole range of satisfying meals that making a choice becomes difficult the buffet was fantastic. The Cocotal golf course was impressive and I had fun playing its very generous fairways while enjoying the discounts associated for staying at Melia. We totally enjoyed our stay and looking forward to a return very soon.

Staff was exceptional, received a few extra perks from booking with Expedia. Only down side was they are not handicap accessible for a few things. The rooms had a step in 2 areas, and the ramps are a little steep in the main lobby. They did have a walkway to the beach for wheelchairs, but only one spot. The pool did have an incline for handicap accessibility, but no handicap spots to park a wheelchair.
The buffets were great, with different items every day.
But I can't speak highly enough of the staff. Every one we ran into was polite, and tried to make sure we had a wonderful time. Even lawn maintenance would help with the wheelchair.
We also used the spa services. Some are a little pricey, but I will say that you do get your moneys worth. They were well.worth it.

My favorite place to be is Melia Punta Cana Level! I feel so taken care of and welcomed by Eddie Sambos. I can’t say enough about the amazing and lovely staff! Adrenna and Carmone at the bar are always my girls to go to for a morning coffee or mid day pick me up! My favorite part is the surprise entertainment at the end of the night, the Dominican night one taking the cake. And then ending my night at the rooftop at Quimera, singing, dancing and enjoying the atmosphere. Walking the grounds are gorgeous and peaceful, day or night. As a clean freak, my room was always clean and tidy and the mini bar is always stacked! My next trip is already booked for my 10th visit here!

Just came to Meliá Punta Cana The Level with my family for the first time. Everything about this stay was so wonderful and amazing. I can’t wait to come back.

Very grateful to our concierge Eddie Sambo who facilitated me getting another room when I arrived, as I was a little uncomfortable being on the ground floor and in a building all by myself away from other family. He made this happen quickly, and I was so grateful for that. Also appreciated him getting our reservations to all the restaurants as well as our taxi back to the airport.

Miguel and Yeuridis were so lovely at The Level restaurant. They were so attentive every morning at breakfast as well as one of our dinners there and lunch. They made us feel welcome each day and went out of their way to help us with everything. Albania was so wonderful greeting us and getting our tables. A HUGE shoutout to Carmen R. at The Level restaurant too. She can’t be happy every morning with the best Dominican coffee. she set the tone each day with the warmest greeting. I am going to miss seeing her everyday!

Thank you to all the amazing staff at the spa! Best massage ever. Thank you to all the drivers and landscapers are so kind and warm.

My only challenge during my stay is I had barely warm water in my shower. Otherwise? Perfection!

This place is so special. Can’t wait to return! ❤️🌺

This was a return trip for my family and me to The Level. It was worth it for the expedited check in alone! Baths could use some updating, overall the rooms were lovely and mini fridges well stocked. The grounds are tranquil and beautifully maintained. Water features need some work, filtration was so poor I was concerned about the health of the turtles and other critters. A highlight was our trip to the spa, such a treat! Food was consistently good and the vegan and vegetarian options appreciated. Desserts were just fair. We particularly enjoyed Quimera (although it was slow). All of the resort staff were impressively friendly but our favorites were at Quimera. Carmen Rodriguez greeted me so pleasantly each morning and took excellent care of me in the coffee department. I miss her already!! Despite how hard she works, she always made time to welcome me and ensured my drink was perfect. Our waiter Miguel was also very helpful and accommodating. Hostess Albania was a delight and encouraged me with my limited Spanish. We kept one of our servers, Yeuridis busy yet he was very attentive and so polite. Truly the staff are exceptional! Concierge Eddie Sambo kindly made all of our dinner and transportation reservations. He also assisted in helping one of my relatives switch rooms so the family could be nearby one another. It made a big difference! We did really miss our first concierge team, Juan and Jose though. It’s a beautiful resort and felt safe. We will absolutely return.

It’s just not a place worth the time and money. The beach’s footprint is small, the food is average on a good day. Do not pay more to eat at The Level. I wouldn’t feed that food to my dogs. Honestly, just not something I would recommend.

Not welcoming on reception, they just point to your room on the map and give you your key, no bell boys, no explanation of resort facilities. Unless you upgrade to Level which we did the second day, the rooms are very outdated and far from beach and breakfast (15m walk) trollies are very few, about every 20 m or more. Even the Level rooms have issues, our shower head was broken. Don’t believe any of the google reviews, guest are constantly approached at lunch, the staff ask you how lunch was and if you would like to give them a review and wait until you do it in front of them, I seen it multiple times.
