I would not recommend staying here. All older people and they kept staring at us. I’m 35 and my wife is 32 definitely not my cup of tea. No top shelf alcohol even for a up charge. Toilet was not functioning properly. No face towels we had to wash up with bath mats unfortunately. Televison was outdated and blurry batteries stopped working. Terrible view my balcony was facing a mansion or someone’s home with a gate. Food was good one of the only good things I could say

Very disappointing experience. We arrived and immediately found the room uncomfortable. We were being bitten during the night, which felt like fleas, and it became very itchy and unpleasant. On top of that, there were roaches in the bedroom, which made the stay even worse.

The food included in the all-inclusive package was poor and far below expectations. We raised our concerns and asked for an upgrade, but there was little effort to properly address the situation.

By the next day, we had decided we could not stay any longer. No refund was offered, and although I was forced to pay a 50% fee to leave early, I accepted it because I did not want to spend the rest of my vacation there.

The front desk staff member listening to our complaints was not helpful and seemed more focused on keeping our money than resolving the issues.

Overall, the property feels old, poorly maintained, and not worth the cost. This was a terrible experience, and I would strongly recommend booking elsewhere if you want to actually enjoy this beautiful island. There are far better options available.

I recently traveled to this hotel over this past weekend for my birthday and I would say that the posting for this versus the reality of what the hotel looks like it's very deceiving the rooms look nothing like what's posted online. I'm not sure. How did they get four stars? I would easily rate this a three star hotel. The rooms are outdated very dusty dirty. The bed was exceptionally hard. The Jacuzzi that came in a deluxe suite did not work overall the staff was actually really really great. Five star stars by far the Customer Service is exceptional. The property and the rooms are very very outdated. It gives about a 2005 2010 feel.

Rooms need updating. No hot water the entire trip. They put me in a basic room the first day even though I paid for the beachfront honeymoon suite. Food was just ok. Staff on the beach was amazing! Property is beautiful. Beach is even better, but they don’t answer the phones or emails or room service so once you’re there you have to just hope things go ok. I personally had to repair multiple things in my room including the broken toilet handle and water valve and leaking ceiling air conditioner because nobody responds to phone calls or requests. They even gave me a number to call that was out of service… better management would make this a better place. It says 5 stars but it’s really about 3

The beach was beautiful and the waters were crystal clear and blue. The sand was white and soft. The atmosphere was peaceful and quiet, which helped us to relax. The resort grounds were very safe to walk around in and well maintained. The spa massage was so amazing and I wish you would’ve done that as soon as we arrived. I believe it costed $50 US for 25 minutes, we got a couples massage so it was about $100 together. Well, worth it we really loved visiting the other resorts and checking them out and seeing what they were like.

Overall, we had a good stay. The landscaping was amazing — you can really see the effort they put into maintaining the grounds, and it made the resort feel beautiful and relaxing. The entertainment staff were also fantastic and did an amazing job keeping guests engaged and having fun.

That said, there are a few areas that could be improved. The rooms could definitely use more renovation and updating. We also had issues with our key cards not working properly, which was frustrating. One of the towel attendants was quite rude, which didn’t leave a good impression. Additionally, it would help if more staff had stronger English communication skills to make interactions easier for guests.

Food was okay — not bad, but not particularly memorable either.

Overall, a good stay with great outdoor spaces and entertainment, but some service and room improvements would make the experience much better.

WOW — what a stay at this all‑inclusive resort!
The room definitely needed some updates, but everything else was truly awesome. The food was great, the people were warm and welcoming, and the beach and pool were absolutely beautiful.

Huge shoutout to the staff who made our trip unforgettable:

• Nelson, the amazing pool bartender
• Alexander, guest services
• Juan Carlos and the entire pool team
• Israel and Elvis, our wonderful servers

They went above and beyond every day.

One honest note: I do not recommend the massage services — definitely an area that needs improvement.

Overall, we had a fantastic experience and will absolutely be returning for another visit!

I’m stunned this place is still open. It’s dated and dirty. The road leading up to it might as well have been the Oregon trail.

Canadians are the nicest people. I met a man at the bar from Canada and it was his first trip to the Dominican Republic. He paid for VIP access and said he’d never return. As a Dominican that has been to at least a dozen resorts on the island, I’ve never met someone that was so unimpressed with it.

I’ve attached pictures. These reviews must be bot generated. I am stunned that the resort rated across various sites. Do not believe them.

This review is not a reflection on the employees or service. They are lovely and it’s not their fault they’re working in what I imagine Shady Pines looked like before Sophia burned it to the ground. Except for housekeeping because just look at the pictures.

I had a great stay at Punta Cana Princess Adults Only. The hotel is very nice, well maintained, and the atmosphere is calm and relaxing. My room was clean and comfortable, which made it easy to fully enjoy the trip. The food and drinks were good with plenty of options, and the staff was welcoming and professional throughout my stay.

One thing to note is that the resort feels more suited for a senior or laid-back crowd. If you’re younger and looking for more energy or a party vibe, the sister hotel nearby would probably be a better fit. Overall, it was a lovely experience and a great choice for anyone wanting a peaceful all-inclusive getaway.

Punta Cana Princess was a great resort. The staff was excellent all around. The beach and views were excellent. Our room had an amazing sunrise view. My only comment was that the buffet food was only ordinary. But the nice thing is that you can have them custom grill eggs and chicken, so nice! The dinners were great, especially the Italian and Swiss Fondue. It would be great to have a good coffee shoppe on the property but at least you can walk to the other Princess resort and get that. You can even bood dinners at other Princess resorts nearby. All in all the room, view, beach, location, and staff were great. Oh, please tip your staff well, they work really hard! The weather was amazing as well. Go, relax and enjoy.

The rooms need an upgrade. The room smelled like it had not been air out in months.Toilet and TV weren’t working. They promote an adult only but there is no real entertainment for adults. This needs to be promoted for 65 and older crowds. after 10:30 there is nothing to do at the hotel. The staff sounded like they were having more fun than the guests half the time. The road to get to the hotel definitely needs fixing too. There was not many variety with the food and most of the time it was on the salty side. But on another note one staff member that went above and beyond was Ingrid from the buffet dining that decorated the table for my bday and made sure I felt special. That made my day…

The hotel was okay, but it didn't quite meet my expectations.
The Cons:
Cleanliness: The bedsheets weren't very clean, and our balcony door was broken. I expected a much higher standard of housekeeping.
Sales Pitch: On our first day, they took up 90 minutes of our time with a \"vacation package\" presentation. It was very frustrating to lose our breakfast and morning relaxation time to a sales meeting as paying guests.
Food: The food was average—not bad, but not great either.
The Pros:
Staff: The highlight was definitely the staff. They were very friendly and professional throughout our stay.
A decent stay, but the hotel needs to focus more on room maintenance and stop bothering guests with sales presentations.

The staff was absolutely amazing but they can’t control the hotel itself. The entire time there was no hot water so all showers were cold. Then we had no water at all in the entire building for half a day. The AC did not work, switched rooms and still no AC. There were very limited food options and most times nothing to eat at all as most restaurants were closed during the day. The upside is you do have access to the sister properties but because you aren’t their priority you are last to be served.
The concierge offered a tour to the other property which ended up being a timeshare and we were yelled at and scolded when we said we weren’t interested.
I give the resort a 4 and the staff a 10.

I saw good reviews on this resort and decided to try it out. This resort was better than I expected. It was very open and beautiful coming into the lobby. The staff was very friendly. Our concierge was very attentive of our needs. We got our Deluxe Room which was worth it as it brings a Hot Tub and the balcony is spaced out. The food was delicious on all restaurants offered and they did provide a variety but you could also find similarities from the other buffets so you won’t have to walk far. The best thing we did was Parasailing as an excursion and it was all smooth and easy to do. They have members around the complex ready to show you any excursion available and they are worth it. I al loved the animation team! They really gave energetic performances and made you want to always dance even if you didn’t know how!!! They definitely made people feel welcomed and were very happy to make sure our stay was the best possible. Only downside is that I wish the rooms had more outlets or modern plugs for USB’s but it is a traditional style resort with modern touches so maybe it’s part of the style. Will certainly be back with my husband and family.

This resort was booked for our honeymoon and it was a complete disappointment. The rooms are falling apart. We stayed in a room that had basically no air conditioning and was 23 1/2° and then was moved to another room that was 26°. It was impossible to sleep and impossible to enjoy our honeymoon. The AC would drip into the room and made the wall soft. The shower would flood the bathroom. The door handles were falling off. The phone hardly worked.
We paid a lot of money to stay at this resort and will never stay at a princess resort ever again.

The room was falling apart. The last two days there was a weird leak from the ceiling, so using the toilet was out of the question cause questionable water would drip on to my backside. No hot water most of the time which I could live without, so I was ok with that one. I used the tub and that was dissapointing cause I forgot there was no hot water...The cleaing staff did a great job but the hotel needs a lot of work. I usually stay at the Princess adults only in Playa del Carmen and have done so for the last 12yrs...this year we decided to try punta cana...never again.

For the price that I paid for the room, it was not worth it. The staff at the pool was harassing, even when we tried to provide ID for the adult and we pull they continued to be harassing to my party. The noise level around the room was uncalled for And the walls are thin, and I could hear every conversation outside of the room no list of rules or regulations was provided, though we were continually being told. This was against their policy such as propping the front door open as I was taking a phone call right outside the door.

The staff were great! The grounds are well kept and the evening dining was good. The rooms are a little dated but are clean. The lobby shows were fun and the other travelers there were pleasant. I will definitely be going back. In a lot of instances you get what you pay for however this property absolutely over delivered in that aspect. Excellent value and overall great stay. The only thing I would recommend they improve upon is the daily lunch buffet.

When we were taken to our room, my husband and I were given a room with 2 twin beds and another roll-away twin bed in the \"living room area\"..what?? This is a room for a married couple? Anyway, I asked for another room, and we were quickly moved. From then on, the little \"hiccups\" kept coming. From not working Air conditioning, (yes we asked to have it looked at, to no avail) no handles on outside patio door, with no locks as well, to broken door handles in the bathroom, to the flooding where the toilet is due to where the shower is......now to the food/restaurants...just a hard pass. Each day it never got better. The beach bar restaurant was the worst. Dead geckos in the slightly melted cheese sauce for nachos, dead bees in the syrup in the main buffet restaurant. Some of the staff were Excellent....Frances, Ordalina, and the kind young man selling for the spa. Beyond nice and always greeted with a smile. There were far too many staff that, when spoken to, acted as if we were bothering them. Getting a drink at the swim-up bar, on the swim-up side, was incredibly difficult and always seemed to be bothering them. We are tippers, at each and every meal. It became obvious, that we needed to literally hand our tip to the person who'd earned the tip, or anyone else would grab it. One time, the mgr dude at the buffet, scooped up the tip before we'd even gotten all the way out of our chairs. The Did Not sit well for the rest of the trip. We will NOT return.

We had another excellent stay at the Punta Cana Princess. This was our sixth stay in a little over a year and a half. The staff is amazing! They go above and beyond and treat you like family. Shout out to Alexander of guest services, the gals Maria & Yanelys at the front desk! Checking in & out always flawless & so welcoming! Reservations for dinners, spa appointments, arranging of shuttles always super easy & very accommodating. Our room was spectacular! Clean, cool, plenty of toiletries, towels, and a well stocked mini bar. Fresh beach towels were brought in every evening and the turn down service is such a lovely touch. We had amazing meals at every restaurant. Louis with room service is great! We always had plenty champagne! Yeicol our beach VIP service & bartender was absolutely the BEST! He makes the best Mojito EVER! And would quite often surprise us with something new to try! We were never without a cold fresh drink. The ocean was beautiful. The beach was groomed perfectly. There was little to zero seaweed during our week stay. The weather was phenomenal. We had zero rain. It was incredible. The 24 hour beach bar, the lobby bar, the pool bar and all the bartenders go above and beyond with their customer service their cheerful spirits we appreciate the kindness of Maria, Yocida, Ana to name just a few. All very accommodating. Also the staff at the restaurants & buffets. The grounds gorgeous & beautifully kept. Resort size is perfect vibe, cozy yet entertaining!

I didn't like that fact thstvmy first experience was ruined by my actual room at resort. I had to continuously walk tonthe front desk because the phone in was broken. The ceiling fan was broken. They offered me a room chsnge, but the AC unit was not working or the room was hot. The staff was excellent, the food was amazing. The amenities were great. My only gripe is at bedtime in turned out to be the most undesirable place. Ruined my anniversary.

There are three resorts right next to each other within this property and all are owned by the Princess group. The best part is that you can access all the restaurants and other amenities within the property. We stayed at Punta Cana Princess but the staff at Tropical Deluxe Princess was a bit better. One of the chefs (Fernando) at Punta Cana Princess resort was very accommodating and there were a few handful good servers such as Juana and Orlando who were friendly and helpful as well. The resort has private access to the beach and we could swim in it. Some of the issues that we faced are listed below: Lots of mosquitoes on the property, tiny showers and limited wifi in the room.

Hotel staff was very friendly and the food and service was excellent. However, the rooms definitely need a upgrade, the bed was very hard and uncomfortable, the A/C did not work very well.

Very close to the ocean. Nice shore. No seaweed & great weather. Very quiet resort. Not a lot of choices for food, but you can use neighbor resort for restaurants. Plus Punta Cana princess don’t need to pre-order to the restaurant just live line. Restaurant for the best I recommended for a couple this resort.

Lots of water . When it rains the roads are flooded. The room we had spent the night in was flooded as well but that was because of poor drainage. Property look clean. Staff at the front was pleasant. overall a 2.5

Extremely over-rated property. The rooms really weren't that clean (the bathrooms were terrible) and the staff didn't clean the rooms very well (our bath tub was never cleaned). There was no hot water for like 3 days in the entire building complex we were in, the air conditioning couldn't cool lower than 25C. Most of the staff doesn't speak english and the beach of the resort is fulled with shady salesmen trying to sell you experiences. I would avoid any Princess Hotels at all costs. I also experienced food poisoning and was exposed to a racket this hotel runs in connection with an expensive private hospital (Hospiten). Luckily my travel insurance covered everything.l

My trip to the Princess Punta Cana Resort in the Dominican Republic was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The property is stunning, clean, and full of positive energy, the kind of place that makes you forget all your worries the moment you arrive.

The rooms were spotless and comfortable, the food was excellent at every restaurant, and the drinks were always cold and refreshing. There was always something fun to do, from relaxing on the beach to enjoying the nightly entertainment.

What truly made this trip unforgettable was the incredible hospitality. Every staff member went above and beyond, but the Hospitality Manager deserves special recognition. He made my wife’s birthday so special and absolutely amazing. From the warm gestures to the thoughtful surprises, his kindness and professionalism created memories we will never forget.

If you are looking for a resort that combines luxury, comfort, great food, and genuine care for its guests, Princess Punta Cana Resort is the perfect destination. I cannot wait to go back.

The rooms are extremely outdated, the light covering were dirty the jacuzzi jets need to be cleaned as well, The food was ok i with they offered more meats for those who dont eat pork. Lastly the resort was nothing compared to the photos it showed once we arrived. The staff and service were beyond amazing!! I also received an amazing massage.

The staff was very nice, the rooms are just ok. We had an air conditioning problem and they moved us to another room. The resort is near a swamp and is infested with no see ums. We actually bought a mosquito net so we could sleep. The food is ok, sometimes way too salty with limited variety. We stay in a lot of resorts here in the DR and would rate this as average or slightly below average.
