The room was free of bells and whistles but exactly what we needed. The housekeeping staff were always attentive and provided a wonderful experience for those times when we were in the room.

Importantly, the a la carte restaurant options are excellent for an all inclusive resort — and even beyond. We never had any issues finding a decent spot to situate ourselves for sunning, whether in front of the pool or on the beach.

The staff, as a whole, were friendly and accommodating. No problem checking in or out, and every moment in between was enjoyable. We look forward to coming back in the future!

My first time at an all inclusive resort and first time in Punta Cana, and I can honestly say that this was one of the best experiences in my life. The staff here truly makes you feel welcomed. I stayed here for a week and could stay here forever. The Limbo restaurant and Casa Bella restaurants were my personal favorites. The bar tenders at the Daiquiri were amazing, wish I remembered their names, but they deserve a raise! Our room was ALWAYS clean, fridge was always stocked, and the staff was always so nice. 1000/10!

I recently stayed at Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar and overall had a good experience. The beach and water were absolutely beautiful and were definitely a highlight of the trip. Our room was clean and comfortable, and we really enjoyed our stay there.
One area that needs improvement is the resort app. It was not very user friendly, and we often had trouble figuring out what was open or closed and where things were located. Updating the app to be clearer and more helpful would make a big difference for guests.
The service was a bit mixed. The golf cart drivers were always friendly and helpful, which we appreciated. However, some of the bar staff and other workers we encountered could have been more welcoming and inviting.
Overall, it was a good trip with some standout positives, but a few improvements could really elevate the experience

I found the food wasn’t very good which I understand because they have to provide so much but proper signage with food would be a little more helpful. Also found that some staff could not be bothered to help or answer any questions. Even after giving various amounts of tips. Also had ++ issues with the room, tv, ac, toilet.

It was a lo ely experience. The day time food offerings were a bit disappointing as there were timea when food wasnt readily available, we could get room service but that meant leaving the pool or beaches to get a snack.

There was no explanation of the ability to use other resorts. We explored on the last day and found quite a bit we could have experienced.

Everything was great, except did not have shower gel in my room upon arrival and it took 3 days of complaining to finally have it brought to the room. Also, people need to stop feeding the stray cats everywhere. They just leave the food rests on the ground, this attracts cockroaches and other unwanted and unsanitary bugs.

It was a rough start at first. The phone in the room did not work and I had to go up to the front desk pretty much my pajamas to request they like it. When I got to the desk, they said they were going to deliver it to my room but also when the front desk operator instructed one of the staff members to take me back on the golf cart, he was upset and did not want to take me back. That was really irritating. The remote didn’t work so we had to request another remote. Overall, it was a really nice resort. I will get an Extra. but also when the front desk operator instructed one of the staff members to take me back on the golf cart, he was upset and did not want to take me back. Resort is beautiful and clean. A lot of cats!Guest concierge service is fantastic. Most staff don’t speak English too well but always have smiles! Rooms are open and comfy and updated. Beds are quite hard. They come by 2-3 times daily asking if you need anything and can fill your refrigerator! Would definitely suggest getting a swim up pool room. The pool and beach can get crowded fast unless you claim a spot at 6am. The resort is located in the middle of the buildings so you can’t personally see sunrise or sunset unless you are far down on the beach. Great time for our honeymoon!

Loved the property. I did not like the lunch options. Food was overcooked. Nothing could be salted because of the humidity. Salk packets would have been ideal. Americans like a happy hour. At around 4-5 we like an option to get some cheese and crackers. That would have put you over the top. No place to get a little \"appetizer\" before a late dinner.

Such a great getaway for adults! Book the restaurants ahead of time, because they fill up very quickly. They are all really high quality! The other food option is buffets, which are super solid. Pool is super fun with a swimup bar, but be aware that the pool closes at 6pm usually to set up for nighttime events that take place around the pool. Really nice beach too! Lots of beach chairs, though these also fill up fast. The ocean water is perfectly clear some days and more turbid or seaweed filled other days, just depends. The property is huge, so don’t be shy to ask to be taken around to different parts in the carts they drive around.

Friendly, hard working, and helpful staff, access to everything in the village—restaurants, shows, games, etc., beautiful, warm pool, beach lounge chairs and pool lounge chairs for free, quick and plentiful train rides across the campus, nice scenery and views. Luxury and paradise rolled into one!

Oh, and the food was like any other all-inclusive— meh. Be sure to make reservations for dinner 10 days in advance on the app. They get booked up fast!

Also be sure to use cash with anyone who is not a reputable business. The people who walk the beach and sell items and experiences, for example. Money was stolen from us when we used Apple Pay for a massage bc we couldn’t calculate the exchange rate before she was able to pull off a scam and intentionally overcharge us by $60.

None of that dampened the experience at Bahía Príncipe Ámbar. It was the best of all the Bahías in the area!

Nice resort missing many key travel points... weak food, we could not find \"GOOD\" meal..very weak limited alcohol brands and selections...90% well brand or local brands...for a \"Drinker\" not being able to get \"YOUR\" basic cocktail is upsetting....BASIC COCKTAILS!!! no name alcohol is crap for a reason...it doesnt taste good or react good w your head!! Sevice without a smile most oten..those who over smile were working you Money semi aggressivly....we had to avoid a few people daily... Room attendant was great did a great job friendly of course we tippped well who knows if you dont...we witnessed veryblittle tipping and were ansked by many people from UK and Europe why we tip???? Resort was absolutely stunning—postcard-perfect w breathtaking views from every corner. Beach access was convenient, pool was clean & never had a strong chlorine smell & rooms were spotless w fresh towels provided daily. The fridge was also restocked ea day, which was a nice touch.

The dinner reservation system was a bit frustrating at times, but we were able to make it work. Unfortunately, Portofino’s was a disappointment despite all the positive reviews we read. When we arrived for our reservation, the hostess seemed inconvenienced by our presence. Even after showing proof of our reservation, we were seated outside the main dining area near the kitchen, which felt more like overflow seating.

MEAT, Tequila, and the Sports Bar were our top three dining experiences, & would definitely recommend them to others.

Our assigned concierge, Kevin, was very attentive during the first couple of days but then seemed to disappear f the remainder of our stay. We booked one excursion & were told we’d be back in time for our dinner reservation that evening. However, we didn’t return until about 3 hours after our reservation time. We reached out to Kevin, but although he read the message, he never responded.

The Saona Island excursion was phenomenal—definitely a highlight—but be prepared for a full day. We left at 7:15 a & returned at 9:15p.

The daytime pool entertainment was exceptional. Wilson, Gabriel & Evelyn were absolute ROCKSTARS! The evening entertainment lacked slightly. (B-)

Facilities are great - especially rooms with private pools on the ground floor, restaurants are great, the beach itself is great. The main restaurant has the best and most charismatic server we’ve met: Ñoño. And Frantz at the front desk was also great :) However, that is as far as good customer services goes unfortunately. Terrible service from the pool bar staff, terrible service from the pharmacy staff (very rude - and considering people visit the pharmacy when feeling ill, mistreatment is felt even more!), and we had a golf cart driver that was also super rude to our group. Given the overall experience We won’t be returning to this resort nor recommending it

Our stay at bahia principe luxury ambar was a dream. It was better then i could have imagined it would be. The rooms were big and clean and well stocked, ALL of the staff from the waiters/ housekeepers/entertainment etc were so friendly and polite, they really aim to please! The food was amazing!!! The views were breath taking the pool was gorgeous and clean.. 110% would go back!
My only complaint would have to be the app not working .. which made most of the al a cart restaurants booked before we arrived because i could never get it to work.. but the staff still managed to get us into the MEAT restaurant that we really wanted to go to on out last night; and it was GREAT 10/10 food, service.

Bahia is a very nice hotel with so many things going on—you can never be bored! There are great concerts in the lobby, on the beach, and by the pool. Every night feels like a party.

The entertainment team is wonderful—very friendly and always full of energy. They organize many activities like yoga, pool aerobics, biking in the pool, dance lessons, and lots of games. They speak very good English and always have nice conversations with guests. They are very intelligent and professional people.

Special thanks to Edgar , Luis, Wilson and his brother ( I forgot his name ) and Rocky , Rolando and Gabriel and also all other stuff. They all work very hard to make every day fun and enjoyable for the guests.

Also, Yamar, the man who prepares pineapple and coconut fruit by the pool, is very friendly. And Juan from the Italian restaurant provided excellent and very professional service.

I also had a massage at the spa and it was wonderful. The ladies were very professional and made the experience very relaxing.

I will start by saying this resort is beautiful, open and airy.

We went as a group of 12 and 5 of us came home sick. One of which was hospitalized in the ER with salmonella. You can say, oh it won't happen to us we are careful but so were we and all it takes is a quick google search to confirm we were not alone.

We would have really liked to enjoy each others company and the country since we are all long distance from each other, but unfortunately we were not able due to something we were served.

We got scammed on an excursion, food was atrocious (cats wouldn’t even eat it), everyone was rude, had to pay extra for coronas and decent wine, paid extra for a steak that the waiter couldn’t even cut through, casino was tiny and required multiple currency exchanges if you used the ATM, had a karaoke bar that no one operated, no premium liquors, beach was crowded with kids although it was an adult only resort, and the room was just okay.

This is a nice resort, but far from a \"Luxury\" resort. Rooms and furniture more like a Holiday Inn, nothing comfortable to sit on. Pool was nice and well maintained, but very very noisy at all hours including late at night. There was no quiet area. Staff were excellent. Food was mostly good, but the a la carte restaurants were disappointing. Not much choice, and they rush you through your meal, no time to relax. Best restaurant was M.E.A.T. Rooms and resort were kept very clean. Tried ordering coffee from room service for the next morning, had to call again in the morning and was told they had no record of my request.

This was the first resort I’ve stayed in with out dedicated snack areas. The staff would forget to bring coffee after asking multiple times for breakfast. It was subpar compared to the many others I’ve stayed at. I would highly recommend staying at another resort.

The room was clean and quite nice. The bed was firm but was very comfortable. We slept very well. Our building was close to the pool, so an afternoon nap was difficult, but most people don't do that on vacation. ;-) The staff were awesome at the restaurants' and by the pool. The room was serviced twice a day.

Junior corner suite at Ambar was spacious and comfortable. Pool had plenty of room, didn’t need to be down super early to get a chair. Beach was within walking distance of Ambar. Entertainment team was amazing! Food (restaurants) was absolutely top notch. We had Hibachi, Mongolian, Steak, Italian, even sports bar wings were phenomenal. Loved our stay and would definitely go back.

We had an absolutely amazing experience! The Spa was excellent, so relaxing!! The staff here at every level, are always smiling and so gracious and attentive going the extra mile with little touches that make us feel pampered and made our stay here extra special. The food has been amazing, from start to finish, the service at each restaurant was a qhole experience. The attention to every little detail and the presentation was so beautiful. The Oneiro Show was the icing on the cake of our phenomenal stay here. 10/10 !

Went to the Spa twice, it was amazing. Great place to go, relax, and have fun. The Staff is amazing.
