Food at the buffet could be better. Our butler Kelvin is truly an amazing person!! I misplaced my cell phone and he was able to track it down for me, he booked dinner reservations and excursions for us. He is sooo wonderful!! Highly recommend him and the resort !!!

The staff at the buffet were good, and around the facility. However, the check in process was awful. We waited up to 3 hours for one of our rooms to be ready. And then when they gave us access it was not cleaned. And we had to wait for another room. Communication was not efficient at all.

The resort was beautiful! Elvin our butler was absolutely amazing, and did the best he could within everything he had control of. That’s about all the good I have to say! Upon booking the room (diamond lounge) we were told there was a $600 credit. We never received that, when asked about it (at the time of check out) I was told that we should have requested it DURING check in. This was our first time at the resort so I had NO knowledge of this. The food everywhere was terrible. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. We tried to play it safe and order cheeseburgers, those came out undercooked( that’s wasn’t requested). Almost similar to blue raw! The resort was out of lettuce the 3/5 nights we stayed there. We couldn’t even order a simple salad. The entertainment on the resort was boring, compared to other resorts on that level. Our first room smelled of old water, the shower had clear evidence of a previous water leak, the tv was also broken. We were upgraded to a swim out suite after reporting these things to Elvin, that room ceiling fan was broken it sounded as if it would fall when turning it on. The tv in that room was also broken. By broken I mean the tv would freeze so we would have to turn it off and back on and then it would do the same thing. I’m not sure if we would return to that resort at this moment.

We had a great time, the staff was very helpful in making our stay aweome. Everyone from Juan at check in making sure everyone went smooth and stress free to Jancey taking checking in to make sure we had everything we needed on a daily basis and Hugo at the pool bar keeping my drinks full.

I highly recommend going to DR and staying at the Royalton Punta Cana.

Our stay was fantastic. We had read other reviews and were a little nervous but we are really glad we chose to book anyway. The food was great, our room was spacious and the bed was extra comfortable. Staff were helpful and nice. The beach…the beach was amazing! We had arrived right after a storm but it was cleaned up by the next day. After spending 7 days there with my family of 4, I would say that those negative reviews were from people that perhaps have very high maintenance issues. We would definitely go back.

If this were a Fairfield Inn, I would give it 2 stars. Everything was old, broken and the apologies flowed from everyone. Many would ask what they could do to help but no one helped. It was true comedy except one of the staff physically threatened my husband and when we saw him, he would mumble he ind his back. We felt unsafe. The fire hose on our floor was gone. The nicest and most helpful were the bellboys and the cleaning crew. Also the restaurant workers were kind. Otherwise, it was a nightmare.

The private pool was extremely cold upon first entry and a lot of the cable tv stations had no sound. Our butler Antonio was excellent. We booked a romantic dinner on the beach and the main course of steak and lobster was terrible. Otherwise we had a great time. We would definitely go back

The staff, in general, was very friendly. The servers were not very attentive. There were times when we almost finished out first plate before someone came to take our drink order. I don't know if it was the language barrier, but i had 2 issues in my room, that I reported to multiple people, and they were never resolved. Oh, I also go a case of food poisoning.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Best Family Vacation Ever at Royalton Punta Cana

My family of nine just returned from Royalton Punta Cana, and it was truly the best vacation we have ever had. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations.

The first thing we noticed was how incredibly clean the entire resort was. I have never seen a place so well maintained. There were staff members cleaning at every moment of the day. It honestly looked like hundreds of people were constantly working to keep the property spotless. They paid attention to every detail, from sweeping paths to polishing railings, and we even saw workers swimming in the pools cleaning the bottom. Every inch of the resort was pristine and beautifully cared for, which made our stay feel so comfortable and luxurious.

At check in, Wanda and Edwin in the Diamond Club lounge were so kind and welcoming. They made the process easy and enjoyable. Our butler Johnny was absolutely amazing. He made all of our dinner reservations, answered every question right away, and always checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. He was so attentive and truly made our trip unforgettable.

The fitness team was also outstanding. Every morning there were classes like yoga and Pilates at 8 a.m., along with fun pool activities such as Aqua Fit that our whole family loved. Alexander, one of the instructors, was so positive and motivating. The food and service was amazing at every restaurant and the buffet was phenomenal.

We had a great time at the Royalton Punta Cana. The pools were great, drinks were great, food was not bad, casino was fun, but best of all was our concierge Jeifry who made our experience amazing. Anything we needed, he was there to help. He picked us up on the other side of the resort, he helped us with all our luggage, scheduling dinners and activities, called us taxis, and even helped us order authentic dominican food from a nearby restaurant. He truly made our experience memorable and was so much fun to talk to. Whatever they’re paying, pay him more! Thank you for an awesome time.

Stayed for 4 nights and 5 days. Check in process was pretty simple and efficient. Had a little trouble with our desired choice of room but our Guest Relations Representative Juan De La Rosa was amazing from beginning to end. He always checked in on us and made sure our reservations were taken care of. The property has a lot of maintenance going on, so while that's great for future guests, it wasn't the best sight for our stay. However, once getting past the construction stage, the grounds are well kept and seem nice. Rooms have modern furniture for the most part but definitely need to be updated with fresh paint, lots of chipping and scratches all over, doesn't make or break the experience though. Pool was great and bartenders were extremely friendly. Ramon, Antonio, Westlein, Anthony were on top of their game. Service in the buffet was atrocious, could never find someone to fill water or soda or get an alcoholic beverage. Plates were constantly piling up with nobody bussing the tables. Service in the steakhouse and Italian were superb A+ on that. Also the best food on property hands down. Sports Bar was impossible to get served and property was consistently out of food such as lettuce for salads. The baristas in the cafe are amazing and super friendly. Thankfully there wasn't too many people roaming the pool and beach areas trying to sell you on things. Overall good price for the vacation, definitely areas to improve. Would recommend though.

I am a very frequent traveler, I enjoy the experience of staying in an all inclusive resort, this experience at the Punta Cana Royalton unfortunately wasn’t the best. I been to other countries and the service from the moment you walk in it’s amazing, keep in mind I’m 100% Dominican! The check-in process for me wasn’t the best, we had to wait longer than usual and staff members were not as friendly, rooms were not ready! I had 3 reservations including one at Hideaway which my brother loved and had no complaints ! Staff at Royalton aren’t the most pleasant, I felt like they pick and choose who they smile to and who they provide excellent service to, during my stay I felt my own people treat other better then their own Dominican family, everyone should be treated the same. Place was very clean, food was okay - the best was ZEN the hibachi restaurant including the service and staff they were amazing. It sucks I have to seat here and provide this feedback but it needs to be said! Thank you to the manager who at the end wanted our experience to be the best but unfortunately I was already disappointed and checking out !

The staff was awesome, our butter Noraiah was wonderful and always available when needed. We did not enjoy the Diamond club upgrade, not worth the money. We paid for the upgrade but did not get the room upgrade. Our drinks in the room and snacks were not left less we asked for them. My wife had diabetes and needed the extra things in our room and I had to ask for them every day, some days did not get them. The staff goes above and beyond for you. The food in the restaurants was not. Very good except for Zen which was flavorful and a good experience.

We just got back from Punta Cana and had the pleasure of staying at this amazing resort—though only for one night due to a canceled flight and no availability at our original hotel. From the moment we stepped into the lobby, Jeifry welcomed us with a smile and excellent service. He made check-in smooth, gave us a tour, and made us feel like we had known him for years.

Our room wasn’t ready right away, but Jeifry promised to do his best—and by 2 PM, we were in! He even made a dinner reservation for us at the hibachi restaurant and personally walked us there. The food was great, just a little salty, but we really enjoyed the experience.

The resort’s nightlife was amazing! A live band played Dominican hits, and we had so much fun dancing. We also watched a Dominican dance show—though it was a bit warm in the theater, the performance was fantastic.

We loved the layout and design of the resort—spacious, beautiful, and full of spots to relax or explore. At night, we noticed security at the beach and pools roped off for safety, which we appreciated.

At check-out, Jeifry met us again, stayed to chat, and made sure everything went smoothly. His customer service was truly the best we experienced during our entire trip.

We’ll definitely return and bring our whole family next time. Thank you for the unforgettable experience!

El Hotel es bonito, remodelado, el personal es amable, el buffet es bueno. Sin embargo, solo hay dos piscinas y no son tan grandes. Siempre estan a full, una de ellas está muy sucia, el agua muy turbia. La playa está pésima llena de algas y marea alta. En la discoteca no ponen el aire , el calor es horrible. En el teatro los asientos rotos, tambien habia calor . La animación no es buena . Poca diversión para niños y adultos . No permiten musica latina , dicho por los mismos trabajadores del hotel. El mini bar de las habitaciones no los rellenan nunca, solo si dejas propina. La limpieza de la habitación es pésima. Las toallas estan empercudidas. En varias ocasiones tuve que llamarles la atención por este motivo y dar propina como estímulo. Nos encontramos par de cucarachas en la habitación . Necesitan fumigar . Mi familia que eramos 23 la mayoria vinieron enfermos del estomago , entre ellos niños. Suponemos que sea la falta de higiene en las piscinas. Definitivamente no volviera a repetir la visita.

Since our arrival, my stay at the Royalton Punta Cana has been among of the best. The check-in process was quick and simple, and Jefrey was always helpful and attentive. The meal was excellent, and Jefrey was able to make reservations at nice restaurants while we were there. I had an amazing vacation; the cuisine was delicious, the rooms were clean, and the buffet Macré had fresh juices, steaks, fish, and seafood that was prepared to order on the grill. Th hotel's Expedia dedicated customer service team was excellent, and I heartily recommend it!
Jefrey is a fantastic asset, always attentive to the customer's needs.

We experienced several serious issues during our stay that significantly affected our overall experience:
•The glass panel in the bathroom was practically detached and had no seal, causing water from the bathtub to flood the entire floor after each use.
•The bed sheets and towels were worn out and stained.
•The food at the specialty restaurants was poorly prepared, and the service was extremely slow.
•The flooring in the water park area was dangerously slippery, leading to multiple falls — especially among children.
•The family pool had broken tiles, which caused several cuts on the feet of my 3-year-old son.
•At check-in, we were informed that checkout was at 12:00 p.m. However, when we checked out at 2:00 p.m. — after lunch and having already handed over the room to the cleaning staff on time — we were charged a fee for late checkout. This policy was never clearly explained to us upon arrival.

I believe these issues should be addressed promptly to ensure a safer and more pleasant experience for future guests.

The Royalton Punta Cana was a lovely property. The staff were very kind and efficient.
Our Butler, Christian was remarkable. He a joy to work with. He went above and beyond our expectations.
Our only complaint is the food. The steak at Hunters was thin and definitely not grilled. For an added charge you can upgrade your meat selection.
Grazies, Italian was fair.
The Mexican restaurant wasn't even fair. Unfortunately, I have an allergy to Shrimp. Was given a card to give to the hostess stating my allergy. Problem is that I don't speak Spanish and couldn't explain about cross contamination.
They have a lot of shrimp on their menu.
Under the Sea was good. Christian made sure that there wiuld be someone there who understood my allergy.
Overall, the Diamond Lounge had decent food, as well as the Diamond bar on the beach.

My wife and I, along with our two daughters (14 and 9) recently spent 5 nights at the Royalton Punta Cana (Diamond Club). Like those of you reading this review, we also read a decent amount of reviews for RPC and I'll try my best to summarize my thoughts and my experience. First, I'll like to show my appreciation for Ozuna, who was our designated facilitator (\"Butler\"). Without him, our stay at RPC would have been uncomfortable and stressful. I will strongly encourage upgrading to Diamond, it's worth every penny. I'm giving my overall experience a 3/5.

The good:

This place was absolutely beautiful, the property is well-kept and the beach was pristine with very little, if any, seaweed. The pools are clean and the water park was great. The food was ok, but I didn't expect it to be amazing being the amount of guests that flow through this resort.

The bad:
In our opinion, 7 out of 10 staff members we interacted with were rude and almost left us feeling like we were unwanted or uninvited guests at a house party. I really hope my review, and others similar in nature, captures the attention of upper management at RPC because this place is really beautiful and I believe the staff should enhance the experience not hinder it. We treated all staff members with a smile and we were always eager to show our appreciation with generous tips. Our stay at RPC was short and I'm saddened that moments during this stay made me regret spending my money here.

I've stayed in various Resort here in Punta Cana, but the Royalton is currently in my top 3 favorite Resorts. From the staff, the food, the facility everything has been outstanding. Such a peaceful and beautiful place, me and my husband were delighted with everything and everyone. Jeifry vargas and everyone else's offered us an incredible experience. I hope to be back soon, with the rest of my family.

Mi wife went on August of last year and she wasn’t to happy with the food. We went together on the month of April and she said that the upgrade on the food was incredible. She felt in love with the resort and she will like to visit again. For my first time visiting I give the resort a 10/10.

To start off, the property is a very beautiful property and the beach area is probably one of the best in Punta Cana. Unfortunately, that is about all of the good things I have to say about this resort to start off the check-in process was a headache. It took forever and it seemed like nobody cared. We opted into the diamond club while checking in after being told, it was $64 come to find out it was $64 per night and we weren’t told that until after they ran our card And when we question that, we were told that we already paid for it and they didn’t know what to tell us .That was the start of a long five days. The entire staff on this resort short of maybe 2 to 3 people are extremely rude and very very unhelpful. It took forever to get a drink at most bars and you felt as if you were a burden when you ask for a drink, regardless of whether you were tipping or not. As for the room, it was clean unfortunately we were only able to have the room cleaned one time during our stay due to $100 being stolen from one of our backpacks while we were at the pool and they were in the room cleaning. As for food, I would probably rate it a three out of 10 for the time we were there. It seems to be a complete headache to book reservations at any of the restaurants and as unfortunate as it is when you do get a reservation to these restaurants the food is Below average at best. Of all the resorts I’ve been to the food at this resort is by far the worst. It sucks when you go a whole vacation

Loved the way everything is interconnected.
Eliezel our building concierge was the most pleasant and helpful. The Gelato staff were awesome. The buffett and restaurant staff , pool staff, drink staff, everyone was just friendly, so calm and so welcoming.

The property runs on a app, if you are unable to download that app you will not have access to what's happening on the property.
We had a great vacation and would return to this resort...changing/upgrading to the swim up rooms. Diamond club was worth it to our family but getting the right Butler makes the trip even better (Thank you Nauria for a great week, we will be requesting you again!! 5 Stars all the way).
The Restuarant's were very disappointing outside of the Steakhouse & Hibachi. The Italian, Mexican & Seafood left us hungry and going to the buffet after.
The people were very pleasant with some going over & above. Make sure you take some small bills for tipping; the staff definitely earned it.

– Worst All-Inclusive Experience in Over 15 Resorts

We’ve stayed at more than 15 all-inclusive resorts across five destinations as a family, and unfortunately, Royalton Punta Cana was by far the worst experience we’ve had.

We booked the Diamond Club expecting a smoother, more premium check-in and service. Instead, we were ushered into the Diamond Lounge where we spent over two hours waiting to be checked in. Our passports were taken, and every time we politely approached the staff to understand the delay, we were rudely told to sit back down. There was no explanation, no expectation setting, and no effort to make guests—especially families with children—feel welcomed. We arrived at 1 PM and didn’t get out of the lounge until 3:30 PM. By that time, the buffet had closed, and most lunch options were shut down. Our first meal as a family came at 7 PM, after a long, tiring, and hungry day.

What made it worse was watching non-Diamond Club guests check in faster and more efficiently. It felt like we were penalized for paying extra. We weren’t given a room choice, no explanation of resort layout, pools, or amenities. The only information offered was that a butler would reach out to us.

As Expedia Platinum members, we received no recognition—no room upgrade, no welcome amenities, and weren’t even informed about the coupon booklet tied to the supposed “$600 resort credit.” There was zero communication and zero effort to make us feel valued as guests.

I highly recommend! Every member of the staff was kind and courteous. The food at all the restaurants was awesome. Each night, there was live entertainment that was excellent. It was a great family atmosphere and lots of love for the Dominican culture in the air. Great overall.

I would return to this resort every year. Some of the waiters had very poor English which resulted in incorrect meal orders. They needed more activities for kids because the teenagers club and game rooms were empty buildings. Overall it was a great vacation
