Muy pocas actividades concentradas, la mayoría en el Royalton Punta cana y no en el Splash. El transporte entre las propiedades estaba malo, teniendo que caminar a las horas pico debido a la cantidad de personas.
Los trabajadores que limpian las habitaciones no respetan la tranquilidad de los huéspedes, principalmente en la mañana y otros tratan de invitarte a comprar fuera del hotel, a precios más altos y en lugares de dudosa seguridad.
Lo más malo fue la comida, ya que la variedad de comida los buffet era pobre cuando comparas con otros hoteles, sin sazón, no sal, pimienta , no ajo y bien escaso limón, al no ser que exijas a un cocinero que te la prepare con tus términos. Con respecto a los restaurantes de la carta ustedes mencionan que hay siete restaurantes en el todo incluido de ellos sólo están tres disponibles para el Splash. El resto hay que pagarlo no están incluidos y caro sin hablar de que la comida es súper mal preparaba como si no fueran chef, lo que trabajan ahí si no aprendices, y esto va para los dos hoteles.
Las actividades al principio de la semana fueron bastante pocas y para los niños no hay nada al no ser que lo lleves contigo para la piscina o el parque de agua, el Kids club no funciona, o sea que el hotel Splash es solamente un gancho para vender otras ofertas como el Diamond Club o upgrade para el otro hotel casi 1000 usd diferencia, por lo tanto yo no lo recomiendo hay hoteles de similar categoría en Punta cana que están 10 veces mejor que este…

Horrible, una muy mala experiencia, nos habíamos hospedado en el pasado ya varias veces anteriormente y no era tan mal, pero esta vez la experiencia fue horrible, lo peor es la actitud y el mal servicio de los empleados con algunas excepciones, la propiedad en malas condiciones las luces tanto de los pasillos como en la propia habitación no funcionaban algunas, los pasillos del edificio estaban oscuros, pero lo peor vuelvo y recalco fue la mala atención del servicio, donde solo algunos daban un servicio como el que se espera en una propiedad como esa, tampoco la comida no estaba para nada buena. muy mala experiencia

Very family friendly. Check-In staff and Butler, Dionis was amazing. All Diamond Club rooms comes with a MANDATORY BUTLER even if you do not want the services. Room sheets and couches had holes in them.

Food selections are very very very minimal for children and for vegetarians. My daughter struggled to eat whole meals as she is a very picky eater. You must make dinner reservations at the various restaurants at whatever time they have available and most times we were sat at 630 and did not eat until 7-745. The best restaurant we visited was the Zen Japanese restaurant (hibachi style). Served fried rice, shrimp, beef and chicken. So so good.

Additionally, please be aware there are hotel management staff walking around demanding you go on tours to view Royalton Punta Cana property (the other side on Splash) to purchase as a Royalton membership or vacation home. Henry especially was very very rude. He became very irate and cursed at me when I told him I was not interested in attending the “privilege” breakfast and completing the tour immediately after. My focus was on my four year old and making sure she had a great time. He did not like that at all.

We ended up booking an excursion and lunch off the resort. Very seamless, as Dionis made the arrangements for us and checked in daily to make sure we were good.

All in all, good time as my daughter just wanted to go to the pool and beach. But I would not go back as food is something I would not bargain with.

I would never stay at this property again. The front desk experience was terrible and you can tell the employees definitely cater to certain people. Most of everything that goes on is at the other Royalton resort which is a 20 minute walk or if you’re lucky enough to run fast, the shuttle. This resort did nothing to help my elderly mother. In fact, at the time of reservation I specifically requested ground floor rooms and oddly enough none were available. Luckily she was put on the second floor so she only had to go up two flights of steps and not three like the rest of us!! We actually were lucky enough to get reservations at most of the restaurants that were available to us, but the only one that was worth anything, was the Mexican Cantina. The rest were okay, but I guess better than eating at the buffet every night. The buffet was the same most every day. Don’t get me wrong most of the food at the buffet was good, but you get tired of eating the same thing every day for a week. Do yourself a favor and find a different resort because this one was not worth the money.

No me gustó que no hay aire acondicionado en mucho lugares, como el salón del buffet, la discoteca, el sport bar, etc. Verdaderamente no se puede estar en esos lugares. La comida le doy un 3 porque no es tan buena. Todo el primer piso del edificio 28 está tapado, tanto la bañera como el toilet y sale un mal olor horrible. Le doy 10 al servicio y a el parque de aguas. Las bebidas increíble pero cierto, no tienen presidente y los licores no son buenos.

Food was very good at all restaurants. Very huge resort with a lot of pools. Technically 2 resorts…for shows you had to go to the Royalton which was only a walk away. Room service orders took 2+ hours most times we ordered. Very clean resort. Shuttles to take you to different places within the resort were available but would come by not as often. Fun activities for the whole family. Staff was friendly and helpful. Excursions available to book at hotel and they were fun.

Al principio encontravamos td lejos pero no td estaba vastante cerca. Lo bueno q el trolli estaba td el tiempo en la calle dando rondas. Muy satisfecho cn el hotel. Buen trato del personal, los cuartos super limpios, en el hotel muy buena limpieza en tds las áreas, el entretenimiento brutal, el area de las chorreras se pasa demasiado bien, se suben las escaleras una y otra vez sin importar. El area de café pues el café no me encanto pero se podía bajar. Podíamos visitar el otro hotel, las alitas con papas deliciosas. La playa super chervere, alli tenias cerca pr picar hamburger, hot dog, papas y tds las bebidas q desearas. También tuve la oportunidad de darme un masaje, el q pueda q lo haga. Tienen una mano santa, te dejan relajada. Deneras q nos encanto y si queremos volver.

Staff was always cheerful and helpful. Grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Easy to get to the beach and a lovely hideaway bar that served awesome drinks. Water park was loads of fun! Buffet and restaurants (with exception to Hunters Steakhouse) offered a nice variety of good food. Checkin was terrible - 1 1/2 hours to check in, and lobby has no air conditioning or chairs for waiting family who had to be present to receive wrist bands. Restaurant app did not work. Went directly to restaurants and got a table in 10 minutes although app said no reservations were available. Overall, enjoyed our vacation.

☆☆☆☆ The Worst Hotel Experience I Have Ever Had

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was so terrible that I feel obligated to warn other travelers.

From the moment we arrived, everything went wrong. We were assigned a room with a horrible odor and an air conditioning system that barely worked. The room was uncomfortable, hot, and impossible to enjoy. We reported the issue immediately and were moved to another room, only to find ourselves dealing with similar problems again. Despite multiple complaints and requests for assistance, the hotel never provided a real solution.

The lack of concern from management was shocking. Instead of taking responsibility and making things right, we were repeatedly given excuses and empty promises. We spent a significant portion of our vacation dealing with problems that should have been resolved immediately.

The food was equally disappointing. The quality was poor, the selection was limited, and many meals were simply not enjoyable. What was supposed to be a relaxing vacation turned into a frustrating and exhausting experience.

The overall condition of the hotel did not match the expectations set by the advertisements or the price paid. Cleanliness, comfort, customer service, and food quality were all far below acceptable standards. The most frustrating part was feeling completely ignored when trying to get help.

The situation became so unbearable that we decided to leave before the end of our stay. We paid for a vacation

En mi opinión, no me volvería a quedar en el Royalton splash….. solo hay un bufete para un hotel tan grande, el personal en el área de la comida demasiado de lentos, termina uno de comer o desayunar y ahí llegaban con las bebidas 🙄🙄 otra cosa que no me gustó, muy poca iluminación por los jardines en la noche, no hay nada de actividad en la noche y bien poco en el día.
En mi parte no regresaría al splash.
El que vale la pena es el Royalton Punta Cana, ese si está a otro nivel, hay hacen todas las actividades en la noche, tiene tiendas, área de café y helados, sport bar, el teatro en fin todo… y el parque acuático bueno y queda bien centralizado si uno se queda en unos de los dos hoteles

Service was extremelly poor. I paid for DIAMOND CLUB for special treatments and had 0 attention until I wrote a bad review and only got a free meal at one of their restaurants. Morning buffet wasn’t that good and I saw my “butler” one day and never saw him again. He also had a bad attitude. My reservation was just for me and they mixed my reservation with another couple. Then they moved me for anothe room that was already occupied and third time a free room. Complementary bottles upon arrival and it wasn’t until third day that I requested it and bootles were left an the room. They didn’t fill out water everyday and chips and peanuts just first day and no more. SO overall I will never fo back to this hotel and don’t recommend it to anyone

We were first to arrive at 12:30. Check-in wasn’t until 3 o’clock, so when we went back at 3 o’clock, we had to wait an extra hour and a half to get checked in. We were the last to get our room out of maybe 40 more people that arrived after us. The app is terrible. We had issues with multiple reservations for dinners, the restaurants were not accommodating whatsoever when issues arose. Snack options are almost nonexistent, compared to other resorts. The excursions were awesome. The guy that helped book them in the lobby was great. All in all we had a great trip, considering we were with five 18-year-old boys that are not picky when it comes to food or accommodations.

Our recent stay in Punta Cana was disappointing overall. While there were some hardworking employees, the resort lacked the level of customer service and attention expected from a vacation destination.

The biggest issue was that many staff members seemed uninterested in guests' experiences. Requests often felt like an inconvenience, and interactions frequently came across as annoyed or dismissive. The restaurant wait staff generally worked very hard and were friendly, but some hostesses could benefit from additional customer service training. On one occasion, it was obvious they were expressing frustration about guests in another language, which was highly unprofessional.

The resort was consistently out of basic items. Drink ingredients and mixers were frequently unavailable, forcing guests to change their orders. There was no poolside food or drink service, meaning guests had to leave the pool area repeatedly. The snack bar was often out of popular items such as fries and burgers, and when food was available, it was sometimes overcooked, burnt, and appeared to have been sitting for hours.

We also requested a first-floor room due to medical concerns. This request was submitted multiple times through Expedia and we were repeatedly told it would be accommodated. Upon arrival, it was not. Even more frustrating, we attempted to contact the resort for over a month before our trip through emails, messages, and phone calls and never received a response.

I think the hotel itself is amazing. Great amenities, the room cleaning staff always kept our rooms in great condition and were extremely kind, and the entertainment is fun for all ages. I was really impressed by the food at the Selections buffet and Under the sea. The BIG downsides to this resort is the staffs attitudes and work ethic. Since check in we were met with rude dismissive attitudes from the front desk staff and guest services. The bar staff was hit or miss some were nice others very rude. At the buffet it was a nightmare trying to get our glasses of waters filled or even refilled. One day we literally didn’t get any water during the dinner at all. We would sometimes not get napkins or offered coffee. There was only one time on June 3 at the breakfast buffet the waitress Angela was extremely professional and kept checking to make sure we were doing ok and filling our drinks. The staff at Uder the Sea and steak house were also professional and attentive. I would recommend the buffet offer self serving water stations because it’s truly bad service specially when it’s hot outside. I would stay away from the Mexican Cantina, the food was just awful. Another downside is the pillows they are super thin and uncomfortable. Even though the hotel is really nice I don’t think it’s somewhere I would like to spend a vacation at again.

Los que atendían la habitación hicieron excelente trabajo pero los de los cafés y helados, la aplicación dice que cerraban a las 11pm y ya a las 9:30 estaban cerrando y apagaban las máquinas de café y si tú le pedías para probar los sabores de los helados te decían que solo era uno por persona y yo le decía a mi esposa pide otro sabor tú aunque no quieras para yo probarlo. Entonces en los restaurantes casi nunca había tiempo para las reservaciones y salían reservaciones para las 9:45 y cuando ya estabas en el restaurante si tú le decías a los meseros q no querías un plato de entrada pero estabas interesado en 2 principales te decían q solo podías pedir uno por q el restaurante cerraba a las 10pm

The guys in the reception and at the main entrance bar are AWESOME. The resort is clean and well kept. The bartender at the bar located in the plaza where they do events was obnoxious. She was extremely rude and even THREATENED my sister after she said let me pray for patience as she was treated rudely as she walked away. Six people in our group had food poisoning including myself. I couldn’t wait for checkout. I will definitely not be back

Fuimos a este Hotel porque obviamente ibamos en familia con nuestra hija, pero aqui va el review. Comida mala (Selectios buffet) comida siempre fría y poca variedad para niños (increíble que no había algo tan clásico como nuggets) y las otras comidas sin sal. No pudimos descansar en la habitación que nos tocó ya que no hay nada de control en las noches y los huéspedes hacen fiesta (gritando y vacilando en el mismo pasillo, el aire del cuarto no era muy cristiano (no enfriaba mucho) las facilidades deterioradas la única ducha que tenía en el área de la piscina estaba dañada, al caminar por algunas áreas emanaba un olor a aguas negras. Nunca habia disponibilidad en los restaurantes para reservación (pero con una propina aparecian sí o sí 😉) y por último y no menos importante te quieren obligar a hacerte socio de su club vacacional y cuando dices "no" eres nadie. En fin el Hotel no me gustó. El parque de agua esta super nítido (no puedes usar tus gafas de sol, ni gorra)

A/c wasn’t working in most of the common areas including my room, staff is ok but some of them when they found out I was Dominican like them the service changed , I think you must be treated the same way as foreigners because my dollars are green too

OVERALL, it was fine, but there were a lot of issues during this trip. Starting with the good things: great pools, great food (except for the restaurant Under the Sea), and entertainment was OKAY but rather minimal. Overall, it's a nice place to go on vacation. Now the negatives: if you reserve as a regular guest, you are basically down the street from the "main" resort (not that it looks bad or anything, just in a different spot). This means you need to walk about 10 mins to the beach, while the Diamond Club is located right in front of the beach, has its own beach seating area, restaurants, and pools. Now, if you want a cheaper option and not go with the Diamond Club, just be aware that this is what you're dealing with. Our particular experience had a few negatives that did add up: the room was not cleaned one day at all, and leading up to that point the cleaning was progressively worse (only the bed was made on that day). Right off the bat, the A/C had issues, the mirror light did not work, and the phone did not work. The weirdest part was that EVERYONE was asking for tips - we were told this is because the people are underpaid, but seriously, why are people at the bar and the coffee shop waiting for you to give them a tip? The main issue is that everyone basically asks for it everywhere, not only in the restaurants where it's most common to give a tip. On another note, people on the beach selling you things are scammers.

The service was decent!!the check in was awful, we did the precheck and was a waste of time, we got there, lined up at their "precheck in section , and i got to see 4 concierges looking at us and kept attending other people that came after us, until some one finally called us. Our arrival was around 2 30 they said check in was after 3, we waited and at 3 15 the room wasnt ready, (not a big deal) they told us to go to the buffet while the room got ready , by the time we arrived food was being picked up, Why wasting our time? My kid was hungry and tired, had no idea where the other food spots are , but till this day I wonder why they sent us there, and I feel they just wanted to get rid of us and "keep us busy"
Rooms are clean , and nice service they do not have a humidity smell or anyrhing like that, so i was happy the only downfall, ac was working but sometimes very poorly , and we had a cockroach the last day, I know its a tropical area but not my first time in the Caribbean, and we were on the third floor.

The food was very good, in the buffet specially !!! and the restaurants we good as well.

Staff seems very unhappy saw several staff arguing between them, and not the most attentive specially the kitchen staff

Entertainment was good the shows and at the pool good vibes.

Beach was amazing, very clean barely any sargassum and cleaned by the staff in the early mornings

Overall it was not great. A 6.5 . Not royalton expectation doubt will comeback

We did not get a room until after 5 pm lost a full day…. When we got our room it was dirty and AC did not work. They did move our room to third floor no elevator. The resort is old and outdated. Will not return here

Definitely a place we would recommend, some of the staff acted like they didn’t want to be there however there were some staff members that were fantastic. Our Butler Edwin was great ,he did his best to ensure our experience was great .

My experience at Royalton Splash Punta Cana was overall acceptable, but with some important issues. Upon arrival, our room had a significant water leak in the bathroom and one of the beds had dirty sheets; although we reported both situations to Guest Services, no one ever came to assist, and the leak worsened overnight, affecting our rest. Additionally, the service at reception and concierge was noticeably unprofessional and unfriendly, unlike the welcoming staff who were very kind. On a positive note, the Mexican restaurant stood out for both its food and exceptional service—Marcos, our server, was truly memorable and delivered one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had in hospitality. Overall, while the stay wasn’t entirely bad, these issues make it unlikely to be my first choice for a future visit.

Every unit building is assigned a concierge, they introduce themselves and say if you need anything just contact them and they will provide for us. Well ours wanted us to attend a time share presentation so he can get points and he said in return he will take care of us. I declined and never seen or heard from him again. I was left to fend for myself during my entire trip. The food quality at the buffet is 1/10 very poor. The italic restaurant was terrible and the Mexican cantina was actually good. Overall I do not recommend this place at all!!! Don’t waste your money, pay more for a better resort trust me!!!

We stayed at Royalton Splash from April 24 to May 1 (non-DC), as two adults in our early 40s, and had a great time. The pool area had a fun vibe with music and plenty of activities like aqua aerobics, Zumba, games, a foam party, and even a pool inflatable. The water park was a highlight. Evening shows were enjoyable, especially the Michael Jackson, magic, and circus performances, and the White Party was lively.

We tried four à la carte restaurants—Mexican, Jade, Grazie Italian, and Under the Sea. All were good, with the Mexican being our favorite. The buffet offered lots of tasty options, and drinks were solid with plenty of choice.

The beach, located about an 8-minute walk at Royalton Punta Cana, was beautiful, with both sunny and shaded seating. The walk over was nice, with wildlife like iguanas and turtles along the way.

Our room in Building 26 was clean, comfortable, and well located near the pools and buffet, with a stocked mini fridge refilled daily.

Service was good and consistent, and staff were friendly, especially at the main pool bar.

This was our second time in Punta Cana, and we would definitely return—especially with our teenagers.
