Let me start this review by saying that we have stayed at Majestic Elegance multiple times and it has always been our go to resort, but we were so disappointed after our stay at Mirage. There were so many little things like not getting a crib until 9 pm on our first day after asking multiple times, not having towels and it being almost impossible to get them, our swim out room being completely different than advertised on the website.. and other things like that. But the biggest issue was having a very expensive item stolen out of our room by a staff member. Unfortunately our safe broke and we put off reporting it and it was stolen right out of it within a few hours. While my husband was at the police station, another person from the same resort was there who had something stolen out of his LOCKED safe. Stupid on our part for not reporting, but the real issue is how it was dealt with by staff after. Security came right away but it took THREE DAYS for me to even get a conversation with the manager. Not even a simple call to see if there was anything they could do, not one update on what was going on. The lack of communication was truly so disappointing and made us feel like we didn’t matter at all to them. In the end, they confirmed that the housekeeping staff were the only ones who went into our room but there was nothing they could do to prove it. Our butler Ceaser was the only one who was truly helpful! We are home now and still waiting for the update we were promised. :(

The resort itself is beautiful, but the overall service was extremely disappointing. The food was poor, and most of the staff were unfriendly.
Our room wasn’t cleaned for two days, and contacting the butler (Vickiana) didn’t help—in fact, it seemed to make things worse. It was only after another guest helped translate for me that the room was finally cleaned, nearly 48 hours later.
While I did encounter a couple of staff members who were kind and attentive, the majority were indifferent. This was especially evident when my dad fell—despite being surrounded by guests, no staff stepped in to help. It took 15–20 minutes for someone to arrive with a wheelchair, and even then, they didn’t assist him in getting into it.
I wouldn’t recommend anyone spend their time at this resort. Our family travels frequently to all-inclusive properties, and this is not one we would recommend at all.

Service everywhere and anywhere at this resort was beyond unacceptable. The food, hotel, staff, service, and accessibility to the pools and beaches was just plain and simply horrible. The staff is extremely unhelpful no matter who you ask or what you’re asking for. Most don’t speak tiny bit of English but that’s something you would foresee if the service was good but it’s just as if they are so miserable working there they don’t care to provide good service no matter who is asking. From everyone we encountered, we came across one good waiter who was kind enough to help us 2 out of the 5 nights and 2 morning shifts. Apart from her, everyone either had an attitude or couldn’t be bothered with. My god the food is horrible. Especially everything at the breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets. They have 2 decent restaurants but the wait is easily 3 hours for a decent meal. Furthermore the rooms are never cleaned on time. Stains on every sheets they gave us and we requested new sheets at-least twice because each time there was more than one stain and not just any stains, blood stains. That’s so unsanitary and downright disgusting. Worst all inclusive vacation we have ever experienced. Never again.

I have travelled to the Dominican numerous times, different resorts - so for comparison I feel well educated on it - this resort was absolutely amazing and zero complaints in ANY areas - I stayed for 10 days - food, staff, entertainment, relaxation lazy river suite, housekeeping all 100%! Our Butler \"Samuel Jackson\" was attentive too as much as you needed and if a request was made, he executed immediately - I also went to the Spa for Massage and then Hydro Therapy and was in heaven!! Food was outstanding, we went for steak 3 times at the Steak House and Japenese also 3 times as the food was so good, Manager Poche was so very friendly, attentive and always assisting patrons and staff with a smile and friendly approach!! I will be going back here without a doubt and recommend to everyone!!

This was our second time at Majestic Mirage and my whole family had a great time. Our room butler Vickiana was super helpful. At one point my mother lost her phone and the whole pool staff, led by Juan Bernardo, sprang into action and helped her find it. Love the food, love the rooms, the beach is beautiful, the staff is great.

We had a great stay at Majestic Mirage overall. Our butler, Alvaro, was incredibly helpful and attentive throughout the trip—he really made a difference and ensured everything went smoothly for us.

That said, the experience with some of the general staff, especially a few of the chefs, was a bit inconsistent and not as friendly as we had hoped. Service there could definitely be improved.

Still, we appreciated the beautiful resort and the support from Alvaro, which made our stay memorable.

Me and my wife came on our honeymoon for the first time to Majestic Mirage. Everything was amazing from the wonderful and extremely friendly staff, to the amazing food with endless options in buffets and in restaurants, the views are breath taking, and the nightlife is electric with the nightly shows at the theater. Nothing beats the service and attentiveness of the staff and shoutout to ‘Amable’, the best butler one can ask for!! Would totally recommend the Mirage Club Rooftop room, it was spacious, beautiful view from the balcony, great room service and cleaning crew. The rooftop tub and bed is a vibe.
Not to mention we went to Coco Bongo, great nightlife experience (gotta go front row for it) that is only 30 min away. And I would totally recommend Evolution adventure park with all the beautiful animals, expresses the indegenious tribe long before us and a fun and engaging buggy ride.
10/10 recommend on coming here! Will be back Amable thank you!

Our trip to Majestic Mirage started off on a great note, but unfortunately, the experience quickly declined.

We encountered several issues with our room that significantly impacted our stay. The shower leaked all over the bathroom floor due to a drainage problem, and the toilet leaked from underneath every time it was flushed. On top of that, the air conditioning in the room was not working, making it very uncomfortable.

We brought these concerns to management’s attention, but it took until the last night—four nights into our stay—before we were offered the option to switch rooms. By that point, it was too late to make a meaningful difference in our experience.

It was disappointing, especially given how promising the trip felt at the beginning. Unfortunately, due to these issues and the delayed response, I would not return to this hotel.

The food at the buffets were good and the Japanese restaurant was pretty good also.The steak house wasn’t good. We didn’t get to try the French restaurant since I traveled with two children under the age of 12 and they had dining age restrictions which wasn’t fair. The rooms are clean however they are in need of some upgrades especially the mattresses. The pools were nice and the beach was beautiful. The kids water slide area needs a major renovation. However I was told they will be building a water park at the resort in the future. The staff members are very friendly.

I am writing to formally express my extreme dissatisfaction with our recent stay. Our experience was defined by systematic failures regarding guest safety, room allocation, and basic hygiene.
The issues began at check-in, where a booking error in your system—miscounting our party—resulted in a lengthy delay. Despite our family reservation, we were inappropriately placed in the adults-only section, which proved entirely unsuitable for a child due to the noise levels from neighboring rooms. Furthermore, the lack of transparency was concerning, as staff attempted to have us sign documentation misrepresenting the room change.
Most critically, our credit card information was compromised within our room. Despite a significant fraudulent charge and a filed security report, management’s response was negligent. No one from administration or the PR department reached out to provide updates or an apology, leaving us feeling ignored and unsupported during a major security breach.
Operational standards were equally disappointing. We encountered cockroaches in our bathroom and the steakhouse, indicating a severe lapse in pest control. Additionally, the daily schedules provided were consistently inaccurate, and the lack of sufficient beach seating required us to secure umbrellas before dawn.
While the entertainment team was talented, their efforts could not compensate for the resort's failure to provide a safe, sanitary, and professional environment.

When we booked the trip, we specified that we need double beds and it was indicated in our itinerary. We emphasised that at check in and they assured us that we were getting exactly what we requested. Nevertheless, when we arrived at the room, it turned out there was only one bed. It was pretty disappointing, they brought additional small bed which was very uncomfortable to sleep in. Finally, they moved us to another room in two days.

We really enjoyed our trip to Majestic Mirage. We are \"lay by the beach/pool\" people. We didn't golf, spa, or do any excursions so I can't speak to those offerings.
Pros:
- Resort grounds were clean, very well groomed.
- Beach was clean, rarely saw trash, someone was always walking around picking up any trash left behind
- Staff is amazing. Every single one was just lovely. I can't even nit pick and find someone that was rude on our trip.
- Our butler, Fernando, went above and beyond.
- Room was clean, maid service was stealthy and didn't even see them, but everything was perfect.
- Pools were some of the cleanest I've eve seen.
- Restaurants were clean, food was prepared nicely. I'm not a fan of buffets because people are gross, but theirs was decent. I did see a hair on something in the buffet line, I pointed it out and the pan was immediately removed

Cons:
- Food was mid. It was all edible and fine, there was nothing disgusting but there wasn't a single meal that I thought \"wow, that was amazing\". If the culinary side is big to you, you might be disappointed. I am no where near a foodie, and even for me it was just ok.

My stay was completely incredible, the check in process was pretty quick and smooth . THE BEST most kindest and accommodating STAFF I’ve experienced in any other country (I’ve been to 5) so that says ALOT. The staff was very friendly, informative and there to make my stay as best as it could be. HUGE SHOUTOUT TO MY BULTLER JEAN-CLAUDE truly an amazing person and was so understanding & attentive to making my stay enjoyable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for couples/bday vacation . The food was very good! I would note that I very healthy & only eat turkey meat so I found my options almost limitless. The room was OUTSTANDING truly!! the room was cleaned at least 1 per day the cleaning ladies were SOOOO SWEET ALL LF THEM & the swim out private pool was just what I needed for this vaca! Room service was excellent however I do wish they offered more food options for room service but I can’t complain too much because they’re so many food/restaurant options to explore outside of room service

We stayed for 7 days and overall had a great experience. The rooms were clean, the staff provided excellent service, and there was a wide variety of really good food options. The beaches and pools were also amazing.

However, I’m giving 3 out of 5 stars due to a serious incident near our room on the second-to-last night. A nearby guest was extremely disruptive—yelling, throwing objects, and it even sounded like another person was being assaulted. A guest was screaming “help” and “stop” while crying. I called concierge twice during the night, and they claimed that they sent security both times. However, the situation continued throughout the night. It was very frightening and we were stuck listening to banging and screaming of the disruptive guest. (We were unable to sleep that night as well which ruined the last 2 days of our stay since we had this traumatizing experience)

The next morning, we informed our butler, who contacted security again to check on them. Despite this, the disruptive behavior continued into the morning. We later learned from our butler that the guest had multiple complaints and was only given a “final warning” since the next one would be his “3rd strike”.

In my opinion, the resort should have stricter policies for handling situations like this and not give a guest “3 strikes”. Behavior that is potentially violent or dangerous should not be tolerated at all, especially in a resort setting.

A beautiful resort. Pools are excellent, beach access and day beds are great. Suites are lovely and very spacious.

Food and drink are excellent and very varied. Japanese and French restaurants are particularly good for dinner, and the Italian restaurant provided a calm and classy alternative at breakfast and lunch.

Great blended drinks in and by the pool, and generous pours and good quality spirits in the bars. Staff all very friendly and helpful.

Our butler, Luis, provided excellent service throughout our stay, checking in on us every day and helping us out whenever we needed him, making our trip special. He also decorated the room beautifully for my birthday.

We had a swim up suite but the first room they gave us barely fit that description. It was on back side of the property and had a narrow pool 1M wide- not on the main pool as had been picted when we booked. Outdoor bed had mold all over and they never changed sheets dispite us asking each day. They offered to move us but we had to wait 2 days then they told us they put someone in the room they were moving us into and we had to wait another day...The second room was great but first room had mold smell, dirty, broken items, and many other issues. Also weird that none of the patio doors had exterior handles so you have to claw at the glass to get back inside. Staff all acknowledged that the first rooms were much inferior and told us that EVERYONE complains that they were misled at booking. The resort is nice with good food, good pools, good entertainment, good beach access. One other issue was room service. We ordered a pizza one night and they said 45 minutes...it took 1hr30min and we had already gone to bed.

Excellent breakfast options. Wilber was assigned as our mayordomo for 2 rooms and he solidified our reasons for wanting to come back next year. He was everywhere...and always on the move. He is made for hospitality management and he knows how to listen (not an easy skill). We came with grandparents and they agreed that this resort had everything within a short distance.

There was minimum sargassum on their beach and very swimmable and clean. I did not notice any seaweed for most of the day. This was our second time here and customer service hands-down really makes a difference here. Thanks!

Check-in process is a mess as they did not have our room ready until the day after we arrived and had to move rooms. Swim out rooms are the highlight of this resort if you want to just relax by the pool.

Our butler, Fabio, was fantastic! Anything we needed, he made sure we got ir. The resort is well maintained. Staff are friendly and helpful. If you are not a smoker, then don't go. People were able to smoke everywhere. Wake up to go out to the balcony to get some fresh air, and just blasted with smoke. Go down to the pool to relax and take in some fresh air, only to then be blasted with smoke from every direction. I prefer places with designated smoking areas that are away from others.

The rooftop jacuzzi room is a 3-star at best. Shoddy patchwork on walls and ceilings. The room had a sofa with stains all over it.The toilet room is so small you can barely move. The staff was not very friendly at all, other than our butler and a couple of the cooks. Vendors are EVERYWHERE and the property does nothing to control their harassment and begging. The food was edible. I would compare it to the food I had on deployment in the Persian Gulf. IF there was queso, it was always cold. The guacamole was virtually non-existent and instead of a true pepperoni pizza, they cut up slices of hot dog and slap it on a pizza crust. Who does that? The steak restaurant is comparable to Outback at best. The sushi is horrible in texture and the Italian restaurant is nothing more than Stouffer’s frozen lasagna, if that. Once you leave the resort, the place is filthy with people dumping trash wherever there is an opening and is completely run down.

This place was absolutely amazing. The resort is beautiful and impeccably clean, the grounds, the open area bathrooms, the halls everything is kept perfect. The staff is very attentive and helpful at all levels from the grounds keepers on up. The room was wonderful and we did not want for anything. A fantastic selection of restaurants and bars everywhere including bar service on the beach. The Mirage Club (adult area) was wonderful. We had our own buildings, pools, bars and beach area and well as a VIP food/lounge area. If you are lucky enough to get Samuel as your butler then you just gained a new family member. Again the staff everywhere was just so nice and friendly it was fantastic. It was just an absolutely wonderful stay and we are looking forward to a return trip.

The Majestic Mirage is one of the most beautiful places we’ve vacationed at. Pristine white sandy beaches with plenty of shady spots to relax. Lush landscaped grounds & plenty of delicious food choices. Cocktails were plentiful at the beach or pool. Our club “adults only” 2 room suite consisted of a large living room with pull out couch & powder room. The refrigerator was always stocked with bottled water & a variety of sodas & snacks. The large spacious bedroom had plenty of storage, a huge walk in shower & another 2nd bathroom with a double terrace overlooked a winding River. We absolutely loved the Mirages’s exclusive coffee bar Cafe Espanol for lattes & cappuccinos. Our Butler De Leon was great always seeking us out to make sure every thing was perfect. All the employees greeted us with a smile at every venue & remembered us by name. I highly recommend this resort.

Even though the Jacuzzi was dirty as hell. I was able to ask a personal assistant that was assigned to me. To have it cleaned and he did so. I was so amazed how clean this resort was to the corners of the walls. Not a bug or web in site. Strictly unbelievable. Different things I observed. The staff love LOVE white people. It’s so many times I was expecting the same service but they went out there way for the white people. Other than that really enjoyed it.

Pool areas were open with great service and access to food and drink. Always staff available so you don't even have to move from your cabana or lounge chair. Staff were incredible! Steakhouse ribeye was excellent! Beach side BBQ was delicious! Amenities were impressive!

It was a fantastic experience from start to finish! The effort to make sure we were happy on our special occasion was top notch. Our personal concierge “Leonardo” went above and beyond to make sure we were happy every single day! We went for our 10 year anniversary and will most definitely have to come back. Recommend the spa treatment! Make sure to book the Sharkey’s Catamaran excursion, and the Bávaro Adventures! 10/10!! Thanks to all the staff for making this trip, one to remember!

Rooms were consistently clean, which I appreciated. However, I had multiple issues with housekeeping entering our room without properly announcing themselves. On at least two occasions, staff opened the door while we were inside changing to replace items like toilet paper. While I understand the intent, basic courtesy like knocking should be standard.

Additionally, after returning to our room one day to tip our butler, we noticed a $20 bill missing from our luggage. This raised serious concerns about trust with housekeeping. While the rooms were well-maintained, professionalism and respect for guest privacy were lacking.

Aside from that, most of the staff were friendly and helpful. The pools were enjoyable, but I did notice a sulfur or “rotten egg” smell in certain areas, along with visible signs of algae and buildup near the swim-up bar and jets, which suggests inconsistent maintenance.

One of my biggest concerns was the lack of enforcement in adults-only areas. Despite booking the adults-only side for a more relaxed experience, we repeatedly encountered underage guests drinking, smoking, and occupying spaces like Coco Disco, the casino, and bars. This significantly impacted the atmosphere and ultimately took away from what should have been a more enjoyable experience for my wife and I. Many of the adults we spoke to about the Coco Disco often referred to it (mockingly or jokingly) as “Epstein’s Island” due to the large amount of children being let into the night club.

This was a return trip for us. Each experience is better than the last one. The property is fantastic. The rooms and pools are really well appointed and well kept. The grounds are immaculate. The beach is incredible.

Our butler Leonel was very attentive and exceeded all of our expectations in every aspect of our stay. “Primo”. The breakfast hostess, Ana Maria, is always a delight and always greeted is with a smile every morning. Noemi is another hostess who makes meal time fun and enjoyable. Raffi at the Tiki Bar is a perennial favorite.

All in all, this is a really great resort and the experience is really put over the top by the staff. Every person from the groundskeepers to the bartenders seems genuinely happy to be there and focused on making the guests experience positive in any way they can.

Will be returning, 100%.

First All Inclusive stay. All staff warm and friendly, they see guests as family and address you as such. Swim-up suite was comfortable, spacious and cool. There was a broken table leg which we reported. Food and drinks plentiful, we enjoyed the evening Michael Jackson and Circus shows in the theater. Beach was beautiful, don't miss the foam party in the pool! Shout out to Pablo our butler, Michael our server at the Oasis and Seaside Buffet, and Noemi the Seaside hostess.

The rooms are clean restaurants were clean. Staff was pleasant and helpful. The groundskeepers were always busy, raking up debris, pruning bushes and everything was so beautiful. The pools were clean well kept always had towels. The beaches were groomed every morning very impressive.

Everything was great! The staff was awesome, and the place was very clean. I had a butler named Morillo who was really helpful and attentive, taking care of everything for us.
