Brilliant stay, wonderful host
Michael
Two night stay in Belfast near City Airport. Quiet area despite busy street. Room was nice and included essential amenities, but bed was not comfortable. Mattress needed replacing. Would roll over and hear springs popping. Pillow was very thin and useless. Staff in the morning was very friendly. Made all effort to accommodate and assist. All considered, very good value for money.
Ellis
The room was covered in dark hairs and smelt weird, the staff were helpful, breakfast was very limited
Elaine
Very handy for Belfast City Airport, 6 minutes away
David
Good comfortable b&b in a quiet location it within easy walk of amenities
The box check in and breakfast service was a bit impersonal, it it worked so can’t complain

We think of a B&B in the traditional way, where someone welcomes you into their home. This was more like an Air B&B, but with continental breakfast supplied. We were lucky enough the first morning to find someone to call a cab for us, but never saw anyone after that except other guests.
It was nice to have access to a fridge to keep drinks cold, but we were expecting a homemade breakfast.

We’d heard about some lovely hosts and brown bread and didn’t ever meet hosts. We were buzzed through to a lockbox with our key. Nice tub but there was mold on the ceiling in several places in room 7. Close to the Titanic and plentiful free parking but not worth a revisit.
Philip
Comfortable beds, handy location to airport. There were no decaf options for hot drinks.
Rodney
Horrible. So the room was freezing. And the hot water didn’t work. It was literally ice cold water. And of course, you couldn’t contact or reach anyone…..
Stewart
Breakfast was ok.
Alison
The b&b is very clean and in a good location, I’d give 5 stars but the breakfast was very disappointing. We were told it was served between 8-10am. We came down at 9, there were no eggs left and nobody came out to replenish. Also there were dirty dishes left around the kitchen as there was no obvious place to leave them and nobody came to collect them.
I’m sure staff were lovely but we didn’t see them. They did bring a towel to our room once but that was it.
If they improve the breakfast they’re worth 5 stars.

We were in room 1, a fair room for the price we paid. New looking bathroom with good shower. Would be massively improved by some new bedding and towels which were very poor. Good self serve breakfast.
Joseph
As someone who tries to support non-national businesses this was exactly what I needed as a base for 3-day business trip to Belfast - clean, near City airport and good internet.
scott
Breakfast very basic cheap as can they could get by..
aileen
No personal contact with staff. No information about breakfast time. We were the only people staying there.
Ramey
Great experience
Nice accommodations at a reasonable price.
Patricia
Very good stay. Friendly staff very accommodating.
David
Room was spotlessly clean. Staff were very attentive when we saw them but didnt see much of them. Breakfast was disappointing if you want anything traditionally irish. It was nice enough but mostly from tesco. Enjoyed a boiled egg and croissant. Easy check in and out process. Buses nearby. Near to a park and local shop and fish and chip shop. Shower lovely.
Curt
Very nice!
The owners are very accommodating.

Bed Bugs!
I was bitten all over by bed bugs. It’s very itchy and painful. I let a staff member know who just said sorry and didn’t think I got it from them since they clean and haven’t had a report of this in 7 years. I later called B&B back later in the day since my condition worsened. A lady answered and said she hadn’t heard of my report but will discuss with staff and will call me back. This is ruining my vacation. This place needs to be reported and avoided at all costs!
Joanne
Helpful and accommodating
The B&B were very accommodating as we needed to check in early as we were travelling during the night to see my mum who was ill in hospital. The only thing wrong was the bed was very hard and left us with aches in the morning.
Carmel
Very convenient for City airport
John

Rhiannon
The property was convenient for where I needed to be and was clean and comfortable.
Sean
Hospitality par excellence. Eamon and Martina are the most wonderful hosts and their establishment is simply fantastic. Highly recommended.
LeighAnn
This was great for what we needed. We booked this because it was so close to the airport and we had an early flight to catch. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good. We didn't eat breakfast so I can't comment on that.
Qiru
Nice n cozy house
Janet
Lovely accommodation, clean and quiet. Breakfast was plentiful and given several choices. Bedroom roomy and bathroom very large with fantastic shower and bath. Host very pleasant and friendly.
Two very small notes, and not quibbles, a small mobile mirror to enable drying hair and perhaps another extension for plugs near bedside table.
Would certainly recommend this accommodation ☺️

Nice room. Smelt a bit weird I’ll be honest. Toilet seat was slightly broken. Heating didn’t work sadly. Area is nice and quiet however, and they serve breakfast which I didn’t end up eating but nice of them. Nice place overall.
Verified traveler
Poor heating and smelly carpet.
The heater was not working particularly at first night. Second night it was off at the evening. The room smells damp.
Not a pleasant stay at all.

absolutely beautiful b&b, easy to get to by bus and easy to find. bathroom was absolutely gorgeous and the whole place felt very homely. would highly recommend staying here

Sets was great host. Nice quiet accommodations 5 minute drive to airport. Great stay
Dianne
The continental breakfast was excellent. All self service, but freshly boiled eggs, ham, cheese, cereals, etc, all freely available and nicely presented. Well done!
As a solo traveller I was given a spacious triple room with a double and single beds to choose from. The double mattress was not too bad but had dips both sides, and the bedlinen I could smell all night as musty and not fresh.
I had a very brief glimpse and exchange with the owner (I think!) at breakfast, otherwise saw no other staff.

Everything is great except that no staff can be found

Cleanliness is important to me regardless of star rating. It ticked all boxes there. I was pleased to see a hair dryer was provided as I didn’t want to buy one just to match the difference in power points from Australia to UK.
There is no power point in bathroom so I had to plug dryer into another outlet near tv. But that was no big deal and not really a complaint either.
Breakfast is great. I liked the size of bread slices and the yoghurt choice is pretty cool. It is very clean and good water pressure in shower.
Thank you

I gave a 5 for staff but I didn’t really interact with anyone, it was self checkin and self checkout, which went smoothly. Super convenient to BHD
Amos
Sumptuous Breakfast...I was spoilt for choice from cereals and milk to eggs and assorted fresh fruit.
C J
Clean, comfortable and very fairly priced.
Saad
It was a very good experience.
Gloria
It was clean and quiet.

A bit strange not actually meeting the people who run the place, but not a big problem. Nice and quiet. Good transport links. Safe off street parking. Close to the airport.
Claire
Great
Great place to stay, check in was easy and the room was clean and comfortable. Located in a nice quiet area
Moira
The staff at the Ashfield were wonderful and very helpful- especially the guy with the red hair and beard. When unexpectedly we needed to stay an extra night, he was able to accommodate our needs. The breakfast is very nice.
Edward
Great place to stay. Would stay here again.
Nicola
First time coming away so a very lovely and easy b and b
Amanda
Wonderful B&B definitely recommend!
My niece stayed here for one night, whilst she was awaiting her connecting flight. I made the b&b owner aware that it was her first time travelling by herself, and they were so lovely and supportive. Definitely recommend! Though she only spent a few hours, she enjoyed her stay.
Kirsty
Lovley property! Simple and easy check in/out. Quiet and good breakfast. Will definitely stay again . Thankyou

Great property easy to get to! Really nice and clean inside. Staff was so lovely and friendly. And also really close to the airport !
Angela
There was nothing I didn't really dislike about the property, the rooms were clean, breakfast was continental which suited us and there was plenty choice, bus stop outside property which was good for getting in and out of town,Michael was always about if we needed anything I will definately go back .

Jeremy
Whilst the place was conveniently located, the interior was looking very dated. The room we stayed in had a really foisty / damp smell in the bathroom.
Breakfast - hmmmm, not sure which continent this continental breakfast was from but very poor, sliced packet ham, sliced packet cheese, sliced white or brown bread, croissant, pain au chocolate and 3 different cereals, very poor selection.
Very thin ceilings as could hear every noise from the room upstairs.
I guess, for what they charge it is very simple value for 10 minutes from Belfast centre but could easily add s few more items at breakfast - and not use supermarket savers fruit juices!!!
On the plus side, if you do stay here or nearby, we would highly recommend that you visit Neills Hill restaurant which is around 7minute drive / taxi, superb food and sevice.

If you like distant and quiet
We never saw our host, which was okay, answered quickly on line. Easy check-in. Not close to any tourist sites, needed to Uber back and forth.

Clean, spacious rooms
Lovely property, clean and nice breakfast choices. However, rather loud in the mornings and the pillows are super flat and uncomfortable.
Charlene
Our experience at Ashfield Bed and Breakfast was great. The owners and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and quiet, We enjoyed breakfast each morning and appreciated quick access to public transportation along with quick service from local taxis and Ubers.

Lovely property and staff. Only downside was the rooms werent very soundproofed and there was a very noisy group of people next door. Hotel nanager was very apologetic when it wasnt his fault. Would stay here again.
Toby
Very comfortable stay and very close to the airport and train station. The walls are on the thin side though, so I was woken up by my neighbors at 4am on one of my nights there :(
Joe
Short one night stay. Room was clean and tidy

Awfull
Did not find the the owner Michael friendly I had to ask all the questions I did get a very spacious room No 2 which had a one double bed and a single bed I found the room cold I had to take covers of the single bed to but on my double bed to keep myself warm
I was also woken at 3-30am in the morning with the noise from room 3 from people talking loud
I relation to breakfast it was contentail Michael told me to help myself he just went off and and even did not come around the breakfast Rommel to see did I require any assistance
Over all I will not be returning or recommending this B&B to my friends

Warm welcoming and friendly, highly recommended.
My friend and I stayed one night, Michael greeted us warmly and nothing was too much trouble. Check in was smooth, he showed us to our room and explained everything. Breakfast was a DIY affair, plenty of choice and he was there throughout filling things up. Nothing was too much trouble.
I would definitely recommend the Ashfield B&B and would book again.
There is a bus stop outside that takes you into the City £2.20 each.
A taxi is £11, one way.
A great location, close to City Airport ( George Best).

Gem of a place
This little gem was quite a surprise. Quiet, classy and very clean. It’s well cared for. The beds and linens were top knotch.
Patricia
A hidden gem in East Belfast. I have driven past this establishment many times and decided to chose it as it was close to Belfast City Airport. And I had sold my house as I was moving abroad to retire and needed a short term place to stay. The B&B is clean, rooms are warm and comfortable as are the beds, hot shower was always available in the morning and although the breakfast is continental it does set you up for the day. Thoroughly enjoyable stay would highly recommend
Paul
Great short city break
Excellent accommodation, very clean , comfortable , all mod cons and convenient to town.Good continental breakfast . Great communication with hosts , friendly welcoming , helpful and efficient. Nice quiet location.
Shaun
Little gem
Nice private rooms with good sized bathroom, helpful staff, a little gem.
Janine
The room was musky smelling due to older carpet. Mind you, it had rained a lot when we’re were there. Mike was very accommodating and the room was clean. The breakfast was not fresh bake goods, that one would expect from a B&B facility.
Brian
Very helpful staff in pointing us in the right direction for dinner. Right in major bus rout to downtown and tourist areas. Was able to accommodate an extra night.
Stephanie
I’ve read the other reviews and don’t know how in the world this place gets a 5 star rating. The grounds are very unkept and the rooms are dated and not very clean or comfortable.
