The rooms were huge. The person who chooses the sleeper couch is spared the snoring in the bedroom given the door that closes on it. Breakfast was promptly ready at 7am. Egg soufle was light and fluffy. Large selection. Front end help was superlative.

As I am tourist I did not know which public transport went to hotel, I used Bolt. The Locations is bit far from Old town but near to the airport and Riga Plaza. Staff is very nice and very friendly

This Hotel is good for 3 Star. Clean, convenient location, quiet area. If you visiting Riga not for Old City sightseeing, that's perfect place to stay. Good assortment of food on included breakfast, and delicious dishes of national kitchen on dinner. Hotel doesn't have their own parking, but parking available on the street in front of the hotel.

Well what can I say, it’s not luxury, but for 30 euros… it’s cheap, clean, convenient and breakfast was rich. I chose it for parking, as many place had non or were 20 per night. Plenty parking outside and safe too. It’s also so easy to hop on number 4 bus right into old town and back for 3 euros only.

The staff were friendly, spoke English, and were very helpful with local knowledge. The staff are this hotel's best advertisement and best asset. The room was clean, if a little worn, and the carpet has a few stains (light coloured carpet, which show most stains) and there was a sewer smell in the bathroom on my first day, but after running water in the sink and bath, the smell went away. The smell came from the drain hole in the middle of the bathroom floor.
The breakfast was tasty with plenty to chose from and all was well prepared and presented.
The neighbourhood looks a little rough, but I walked around it and found the people friendly and helpful for directions and I felt quite safe.

A long way from the centre. No food facilities
We were given a bare room with no chairs and a stained carpet. On complaining we were given a better room. The carpet was still grubby as were the chairs, otherwise it was clean. No air conditioning, very noisy. A loud bell went off at 6am and then at 7 and 8 am. Breakfast was basic and we were asked to leave at 10.05 whilst still eating because the cafe was closing.

We had a quick layover in Riga. We came in late and left early. The hotel corresponded with us prior to our visit, confirming our need for taxi to/from airport. They also offered to have a sack breakfast, since we had to leave before breakfast was served. It was a terrific respite for the 9 hours we were in the country.

This hotel is great if you don't mind using Rigas public transport or have access to a car in order to get where you may need to go.
The rooms are large and comfortable, and the breakfasts are good too.
My only gripe would be that the WiFi coverage needs looking at, as not every room can connect.

Value for money hotel out of town centre
I booked this hotel because it was a good price and a 3 bedded room. The room layout was good as there was a double bed in one room with a door which opened into a lounge area where there was a sofa bed, desk, tv etc. This meant we had some privacy from our 15 year old son. The breakfasts were fine, unexciting but plenty to fill up on.
The down side of the hotel was the location, in a quiet residential area but a 20 min trolley bus ride from the centre of Riga. The buses were frequent and cheap but inconvenient if you wanted to go back to the hotel before going out in the evening. We knew this before we booked so its a balance of cost over convenience.

Big rooms!
Kolonna Hotel Brigita is a very nice hotel. The staff are polite, the rooms are very big and clean - much nicer than the pictures suggest. City centre is not far away either. Breakfast was the same every day which made it less appealing to get up for, however all in all it is a really good place to stay.

OK for cheap out of city stay
If you have your own car, don't mind taking public transport or walking a few miles to the city then maybe this place would be right for you. It's pretty basic and in a residential area with very little to see or do close by. Blocks of flats and very serious and not very approachable locals. I hardly saw a smile outside of the hotel. Hotel staff were very professional and well presented. Free WIFI and an ok breakfast is a plus. Rates go up and down considerably at the low end it's a good deal.

Pour le prix nous ne pouvons pas trouver mieux à Riga. Il s’agit d’un hôtel simple, les chambres sont bien anciennes mais propres. Le personnel était très sympa et professionnel. Le petit déjeuner très bien. Si votre séjour est en été attention que les rideaux laisse passer beaucoup la lumière (à moi ça ne me dérangeait pas). En ce qui concerne le parking ce n’est pas vraiment un mais il est très facile de se garer dans le quartier. Rien au tour de l’hôtel, juste un restaurant/bar sympa. Sinon il faut prendre la voiture. Dans l’ensemble nous sommes très satisfaits.

Grundsätzlich begann unser Aufenthalt gut, Die Dame von der Rezeption war sehr , hilfsbereit und versuchte alles meinen Wunsch nach einem Zimmer mit Dusche umzusetzen, was auch gelang.

1) Разочаровал Wi-Fi, низкая скорость, постоянные отключения...

Hotel Kolonna is een prima hotel om de oude stad van Riga te bezoeken. Buslijn 19 stopt voor de deur van het Hotel en een 3-dagen vervoerskaart kost slechts €10,-. Ontbijt is uitgebreid en top. Enige nadeel was het matras wat behoorlijk versleten was, waardoor ik slecht heb kunnen slapen.

Huoneet halvimmillaan keskitason hotellihuoneita. Hieman kalliimmat ovat jo tosi hyviä. Aamiainen hyvin kelvollinen ja riittävä. Tärkeintä varmasti monelle on hotellin todella edullinen hintataso. Nice size rooms, and quiet enough. Location was also good, close to malls (if have a car). We stayed only 1 night, for that this was good hotel and probably also for a longer stay. When I read the reviews there was warnings that you not get rooms like they promise and that happened to us too. When we booked the hotel there was mention of kitchen, but in the end we only had a small fridge. For us it didn't bother but if you want a kitchen then better check with hotel that you actually get one.

Dette var vår 6. eller 7. overnatting på dette hotellet. Vi reiser tre personer sammen, og da er dette et hotell som passer for oss. Store rom og god plass. Vi har bil, og det er derfor lett å komme seg inn til byen. Det går også trolleybuss utenfor hotellet, som går inn mot byen. Hotellet er ikke av de vakreste, men om det er selve byen man er ute etter for å se og oppleve er dette et hotell og anbefale.

Несмотря на то, что ремонт этому отелю не помешал бы, в целом у нас остались о нем положительные впечатления. Небольшая цена за проживание, удобная кровать, тёплые одеяла, хорошие подушки, замечательный завтрак (шведский стол), очень приветливый русскоговорящий персонал. Без проблем заселили раньше по времени и разрешили выехать попозже. Машину можно припарковать вдоль дороги рядом со входом в отель или во дворе за ним. Проблем с парковкой не было. Рядом со входом в отель остановка троллейбуса, который идёт в центр города. Ехать минут 15. Недалеко небольшой магазин “Maxima”. Из недостатков могу отметить только на отсутствие занавески в душе, из-за чего вода разбрызгивалась почти по всему санузлу.

Enttäuschend war der Frühstücksservice. Wir kamen in den Speisesaal und fünf der Frühstückstische waren nicht aufgeräumt. Das Personal war mit dem Handy beschäftigt. 15 Minuten später wurden in einer Hauruckaktion alle Tische abgeräumt und man widmete sich wieder dem Handy.

Отель соответствует трём звёздам.Отдыхали с супругой на Рождество в 2017г. Просторный номер,хорошие завтраки,приветливый персонал,к русским людям абсолютно нормальное отношение и позитив!!! Рядом с отелем остановка троллейбуса номер 19 в 150 метрах от отеля автобуса номер 40, которые доставят вас до старого города за 20 минут.Вообщем мы очень позитивно отдохнули и вернулись благополучно в Москву.Стоянка авто рядом с отелем бесплатная,но не охраняемая,хотя видеокамеры присутствуют.Завтраки сытные и достаточно разнообразные. Цена проживания просто порадовала ,до 2000руб. в сутки. Всем рекомендуем!
