Simple but clean room. Quiet and close to the old town and river. Staff is very helpful and friendly.
Careful - there is another 'hotel' with a very similar name and close by. Nobody available after 18:00 and you are left on your own to figure it out.
I would definitely stay there again.

We stayed here for a fortnight and really enjoyed our time here. Everything about the hotel was excellent. Our room was very clean and comfortable, the breakfast was excellent too. The hotel is just a short walk from the old town. There is a very modest charge to park your car.

We had a small room with three twin beds jammed into the room. Limited room to move about, and it did not match the charm of the rooms in the pictures. Breakfast was good. It was not bad, but it was nothing to write home about.

Good location, albeit in a run-down street. Close to Old Town and restaurants, railway station and walkable to main sites. However, my superior room had flies in it and the reception did nothing about it throughout my stay. Reception did not answer the internal phone when I called. My towels were not changed and rubbish not removed from the room. The bath was very slippy and no mat. I had to use a towel in the bath to stand on. The bathroom fan stayed on throughout and was noisy. I could hear the person next door snoring!

Not charming and not worth it.

I just cannot believe that any of the positive reviews are true or that anyone would stay here more than once. The hotel is rundown, the beds are basically military cots, the rooms stink, the showers is actually smaller than a cruise ships. The location is about 3 blocks from everything but I am literally listening to someone coughing on the street and I'm on the fourth floor, meaning you will not sleep because you will hear everything with the window closed. The TV has 3 channels, the hot water comes and goes ( if you can get in the shower). I could go on but and I am an avid traveler and not prone to giving bad reviews but this place is bad. Also, these photos are NOT real, the place isn't even blue!

The hotel has only a couple of minutes walk from the old town, but is on a quiet back street.

The staff were efficient but not particularly friendly. The hotel decor is a bit tired. We had two rooms on the top floor and both had two sky lights, one with a blind and one without which meant the room was light from 5am which woke my wife and daughter.

The breakfast buffet was very busy but had a reasonable selection.

Good location, close to all the old town attractions with lots of places to eat and drink near by. The staff were all very friendly. Breakfast was good with a variety of options. The only negatives were the bed, which had a very thin mattress and was too firm and the smell outside the hotel, probably caused by a blocked drain somewhere.

A centrally placed hotel. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. The Old Town is a 5 minute walk away. There are many fantastic eateries in the Old Town as well as historic sights such as House of the Blackheads and The Three Brothers. Highly recommended.

Durning my 2 weeks stay I ran into ongoing construction and renovation work that made getting in and out of the tight limited parking a problem. Once that is done, they will get 5 stars from me

Near the bus station and the city center, but if you have luggage is a little difficult to get there walking because of the sidewalks and stone streets. The hotel and room were clean. The room was little and the shower curtain didn’t close completely. Besides that, we enjoyed our stay.

This hotel is in a fantastic location for exploring the old town. It was clean, staff were friendly and the hotel has character. Unfortunately the hotel is very echoey - on our first night after a long day travelling we were woken up between 5am-6am because of a cleaner in the hall way making noise. Our bed was very creaky so whenever either of us moved the noise woke us, we also struggled to sleep because we could hear other guests coming and going, doors opening and closing and people talking. If it wasn’t for the noise and the lack of sleep I would say I would stay again but unfortunately that ruined it for us.

A good experience at the hotel

The room had more than enough space for one person like me. The only real downside was the minibar wasn't working and the hotel did not fixed it after i told the reception desk. They told me the hotel is upgrading the minibars.The other minor thing was the shower cabin was very tight.

Good value hotel in a great location near the 22 bus stops to and from the airport. On the edge of the old town so within walking distance of all the attractions. Staff were friendly and helpful, I paid 16 euros to extend check out from 12 to 3pm and there’s a room that you can store your luggage in. Although it’s a little dated this is a lovely clean and safe hotel. As a solo female traveller I would definitely recommend it

Perfect location!

Amazing location with a pretty big room. It was an amazing prices and super close to everywhere we wanted to go. We checked in early and got out room straight away. Breakfast was also good.

Only draw back was the room had a slight sewage type smell, which was coming from outside/the street.

This hotel was in the old town of Riga and was perfect for walking around. I did book this particular hotel and paid extra so we could have a 'castle' room for my daughter. When we checked in the 'castle' room was under construction so we were not able to have this experience. Very disappointed as this was the reason I booked this hotel.

Great location to Old Town Riga and the Christmas Market. Staff was wonderful. Parking was cheap and easy which was a huge bonus since Riga is very difficult to find a parking space. Nice quiet hotel. Only complaint was the mattresses. We got the 3 twin bed room because our grown son was with us. The beds were like sleeping on hard cots. If they got new mattresses it would've made it the perfect experience! But loved the location, and the town of Riga was my favorite from our trip to the Baltics. Best Christmas Market ever!

Everithing is dated back to 2000s.... smallest shower I've ever seen in my life: I know many people who wouldn't fit in. Not soundproof whatsoever! Uncomfy mattresses and the squeakest bed you can imagine: neigbours were banging wall during our moments of passionate romance...

Would Never Stay Here Again - False Advertising

Original room was on the ground floor right across from the cooridoors for people. Mattress hurt my back and was very thin, tv did not work, showers were VERY tiny for adults, nightlight on one side did not work, and you could hear everything from the lobby, elevators, and all the other rooms. Since the windows looked right into a walking space, you could not leave any curtains open for any lighf without giving up your privacy. Even if you could manage to squeeze into the shower, you could not raise your arms to wash your hair. I gave up and opened the shower door to discover the bathroom floor had lots of water. I went to the desk to inform them of the issues and was just given towels to try and make the floor not slippery and dangerous. The sleep in this room was the worst ever due to issues. We changed rooms the next day after lots of resistance from the hotel. This room had a bathtub instead of the tiny shower and even had shower caps, which did not exist in our original room. This room had a thin mattress, but it was slightly more comfortable than the first. This room was the same size, but just laid out different. The room was still very noisy as you felt you were a part of every conversation in other rooms and in the cooridoors. We, at least, got some light in this room, but the tv only had five (at most) working channels. We voiced our concerns about the two rooms not being anywhere close to how they were advertised and met with silence.The hotel ignored every attempt

The building has lots of character, but my room was nothing like the room pictured. There was noise from the street due to a venue open until 2am opposite, room noise from other guests at similar times & I explicitly asked for a room away from noise, eg stairs & lifts. They put me opposite the lift & next to the stairs. Whilst the stay wasn't terrible, the fantastic Riga experience was spoiled somewhat by all the above, plus them having a full facade renovation (building works) at the time, they didn't notify me of. Not a disaster, but the worse bit of Riga for me.

The architecture was beautiful. The too was a good size & the hotel was quiet. Breakfast was excellent. Everything was within walking distance of most historic sites. The bus to the airport is right behind the hotel making it very convenient. Staff was excellent & Kitty was especially helpful. The bed could use some fluffy pillows as the ones on the bed were flat. Otherwise, I had a wonderful time in this incredible City & I shall return in the future.

Difficult stay. Was given room 316. It’s located in the staircase. Very strange. The WiFi did not reach that room very well at all. Often had no WiFi. The room was much smaller than I selected on hotels.com.
Was moved to the room type I book for the second night. It was the size I had booked. Wi-Fi worked well. This hotel needs to update all its traditional rooms. They are feeling very dated.

Good location, close to old town. We were a group of friends, booked 5 rooms. Some rooms are very small, in two of them the fridge was not working. No cleaning or change if towels or removal of garbage during our stay. It seems that you need to ask for the service. We found dirt and garbage (empty bottle) under the bed from previous tourists. Breakfast was buffet, good variation but same products every day. It is ok for a short stay but not for longer.

Everything excellent except the room stank of fresh cigarette smoke the entire time, I stayed 4 nights and it was as if someone was smoking in the room while I was out. Nearby hostels had young people constantly who screamed into the nights. Tub had a leak somewhere at the bottom and flooded the floor constantly.
Breakfast buffet was excellent. Overall atmosphere is okay. Location is good.

Table in room was broken, Cop bored ripped and damaged everywhere.! Breakfast was not to bad but the butter, marmalade, jam was put on each single jar bad hygiene..!! Only 2 small sugars put near coffee matching again every one once was touching with their dirty had as keep coming to pick one after other as they was still eating their breakfast disgusting.. !!!
I reported to the receptionist and tell them I won’t have breakfast tomorrow but they sims doesn’t bother to them..!! Over all the locations was brilliant very handy to public transport and old town..

Large room and excellent location. A few minutes walk from no 22 bus to and from airport, get off at first stop after crossing the big bridge into old town area and only 2Euros why get a cab. These are the 2 positives. Lots of things broken including the emergency stairs which were unusable. Only 1 coffee machine at breakfast so long quene Room looks out onto an alley very noisy late into the night. Very noisy hotel thin walls. They give you ear plugs. Hard bed. NOT a good sleep.

Best Kept Secret in Riga. Great 24 hour front desk and very attentive. I stayed for a month while looking for apartment, breakfast was great and parking directly behind hotel.

This property is a quick walk from the bus station and also to Old Town Riga. It’s location is it’s strongest feature. I don’t think the rate I paid for my room was worth it though because it was quite small and did not look like the photos online. Also I was a little disappointed by the breakfast options, but it was manageable. I would probably look for other options when I stay in Riga again.

Great value for money in good location.

This hotel is ideal for those on a budget . I stayed in one of the newwer rooms. The only downside was the creaky floorboards coming from the room above. If you are a light sleeper you may stuggle!

Not as good as in previous visits.

We have stayed in this hotel a few times, however this stay was not so good. I think they must be short of staff, we stayed from Sunday-Thurs, and our room was only cleaned twice.
