Our stay at the Grand Hotel Kempinski Riga was absolutely outstanding and made our anniversary truly special.

From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. The staff were the best we have experienced, always professional, warm, and attentive. A special mention to the Lady in Red, who was incredibly professional and ensured every detail of our stay was perfect. We were also touched by the lovely anniversary surprise waiting for us in our room.

The hotel is centrally located, making it ideal for exploring the city. Many excellent restaurants and shops are just a short walk away, which added great convenience to our stay.

The highlight for us was undoubtedly the spa. It is a truly relaxing and beautifully designed space. From the quiet room, to the sauna, to the steam room and the indoor pool, every area was designed for comfort and tranquility. It was an experience in itself and the perfect way to unwind.

The Grand Hotel Kempinski Riga is without question the best place to stay. We highly recommend it and would gladly return.

The hotel is very nice, especially spa and pool area. The rooms are comfortable and a good size, very clean and very well taking care off as the whole hotel. The stuff is very friendly, warm, helpful, and accommodating.
Cannot comment on the breakfast and restaurants as we did not use them. Overall will happily recommend it to other travelers.

Certainly nothing to ruin a stay, just a little less comfortable

Spa is over the top good

Rooms were large, well appointed, and with great black-out curtains. But the best part was the spa - I've never been to a nicer hotel spa. Two dry saunas, one steam room, cold plunge, pool, hot tub...All first class. Really a great place.

This is one of the finest hotels I have ever stayed at. I was immediately greeted and offered a libation, checked in and taken to my room. All the hallways and lobby areas are large and spacious. My room was shielded from noise outside and inside. The food and food service was excellent. The twenty four hour room service was great. I had a fantastic club sandwich among other items.

Just perfect.

Could not fault this hotel. Came for a 3- night stay with my husband as we had never been to Riga before. This hotel made our trip. It is perfectly located, in walking distance to everything, clean and warm. The spa is outstanding - the pool is heated to around 31 degrees which is lovely. The sauna, gym, steam room etc sew so immaculate (look new) and largely empty. Rooms are spacious and really well equipped - no niggles (enough coathangers, plugs and mirrors in the right places, tea and coffee etc, usb ports - all well thought out). Service was also impeccable and the breakfast was excellent. Would highly recommend.

Rooms were very nice and beds very comfortable. Breakfast was really good and the women working each morning were extremely friendly and helpful. Check-in at the front desk was very good and was able to get into my room early which was very appreciated. However, after my check-in, the women at the front desk were not the friendliest which was a bit annoying. Overall recommend the hotel though in Riga

This is an amazing hotel with wonderful staff. We had a Deluxe Room with Park View for 3 nights. The room was large, with a vestibule and sitting area with a couch and also had a large bathroom. It was impeccably clean and well appointed, and included turn down service each evening. The lobby is big and beautiful and the included breakfast had a huge variety of dishes to meet just about anyone's needs. The location is perfect, sitting at the edge in the Old Town, making everything walkable. Some street noise could occasionally be heard (from 5th floor) but pretty quite otherwise. Ordered room service one night and was surprised at the relatively reasonable prices. Booked a massage one day and paid €125 for 80 min massage (less than would cost in California.) The staff were very friendly and all spoke English. The stay was worth the cost for the level of luxury and service. I would recommend if you want to treat yourself to a relaxing stay with all the amenities.

This beautiful hotel was probably the nicest place I’ve ever had the opportunity to stay at. It was an unexpected joy.

The staff was impeccable, the room was spacious and well appointed. The heated bathroom floors were a lovely discovery.

I have never seen a breakfast buffet so expansive and inclusive. You also have the option to order from the menu as they have a chef there preparing omelettes, pancakes, etc. Excellent espresso drinks as well.

We dined at the restaurant upstairs and the food was so good. I had the lobster and my partner had the strip loin steak (on the recommendation of the waiter) and everything was perfectly cooked. They had mock-tails and NA sparkling wine which we appreciated since neither of us drink alcohol.

The desserts were a work of art.

Thank you for a lovely stay and we will definitely be back not only for this hotel, but for Riga as well.

Really great hotel in an OK part of Rica. Some of the staff was nice but others felt slimy like they were trying to cheat me out of some thing. Lots of extra fees for everything. A rollaway bed cost €80 a night which we were unaware of when booking.

I was told this is the best hotel in Riga and when I checked into my room it was very hot 77F(25c) I set the AC to 64F(18C) and waited a couple of hours and the lowest it got was 70F(21.5C) I went downstairs and complained and they the general manager explained to me that the new laws in europe do not allow the rooms to be cooler than 70F(21.5C) that apparently guests were getting sick when its too cold, I did not buy that BS and to top it off when I would leave for dinner and drinks at night and come back to the room they would turn off the ac while I was gone so imagine having to wait another 3-4 hours till the room kinda cools off again, I checked with near by hotels about such AC laws in europe and they laughed and said they never heard anything about this before. It is a very hot summer here in Riga and a property such as this should at least be able to provide fans to the rooms if they cant lower the AC, if you like a cold room then dont stay there, it was the worst 3 nights of my trip so far and glad I left that hotel today.

This is truly a five star hotel with superb pool, sauna, fitness and spa facilities, that are comparable to five star hotels in London / Milan / NY. Other facilities include a roof terrace with a beautiful view of Riga, a 24hr casino, and a smoking cigar room. We had a problem with our bathroom which was rectified quickly. The room was luxurious, comfortable and well insulated and heated. We were impressed by this hotel and would definitely like to return.

The hotel is pretty new which is a plus since the facilities and amenities are in a good shape though staff might require to be more skilled and experienced in hospitality. Girls on reception are being lost sometimes at simple tasks and not that great in English. Room service people are not that accurate in timing prognosis.

Amazing hotel! Our stay was very enjoyable and lovely. Staff are super friendly, very clean, amazing amenities.

The only 2 set backs i can say is that we were there in a time when they were short staffed. And the second set back is their cigars were kept in low humidity 55% to 60%.. as a cigar smoker, this is the reason why i take my cigars always with me.

If you want to charge the customers for their own cigar or give the option to purchase, please keep eye on the stock you sell and how it’s presented.

But all in all, everything was perfect!

Excellent from start to finish. Every member of staff was happy to help. The room was stunning and very spacious, kept immaculately both morning and night. The breakfast buffet had everything, whether you enjoy fruit, cold meats or a cooked breakfast, all available either by self service or from the menu. The spa area was lovely. A pool with jacuzzi, two saunas one hot, one very hot. One steam room. Towels and complimentary water all available everywhere. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, well worth spending a little bit more.

The hotel is in the old town and within easy walking distance to all the attractions. The room was big, clean and comfortable and the reception staff & porters looked after us very well. The breakfast was good but would be better in my opinion if they can include more local dishes as we saw many cheeses, fruits, smoked fishes and sausages in the Grand Market. Was a little disappointed about the breakfast service, on a few instances we had to wait long before our tea & coffee were delivered and on one occasion, I was half way through my breakfast before my wife’s was served!

Kempinski is always a good choice. Nice room, exceptional front desk and good house keeping However, we had small problems having breakfast: First day the orange juice was gone... ok. Second day again there was no more orange juice, so I asked the waiter who told there wasn’t more oranges (?) at least is surprising... Third day the restaurant was a bit more crowded (about 10 tables) and they couldn’t serve our choice from the menu. That was really annoying and pretty bad from administration point of view. The manager ( don’t know the name) who was in charge at the time was mad. Not was a good impression

I have traveled a lot around the world and been to many hotels. This hotel is a top-notch in every way. The hotel is located at the very center of Riga. Hotel room as well as bathroom were both very spacious, clean and quiet. Breakfast was superb! Also had some time to go to the Spa. Upmarket hotel at the edge of Old Town, Riga, just opposite the Riga Opera House. Hotel is very luxurious and has a quiet charm and style. Service was excellent - very friendly and efficient. Hotel is very quiet. Amber Restaurant was excellent for breakfast and lunch. Lunch menu offers a 40 minute option perfect to fit in with business meetings. Great assistance from concierge and the Kempinski \"Lady in Red\" to get Opera tickets. Superior room was very large, well furnished and very comfortable. Very stylish hotel. Not cheap, but not excessive by European standards for this level of luxury.

From the minute you step in you are treated like the most important person visiting the hotel.
I truly appreciate the attention not only the treats and little attention that makes the difference, but the service and the friendliness of the staff. I tried the SPA and indulge in a treatment, the bar with a cocktail, the cigar lounge for a glass of wine and the amazing restaurant with a view contemplating the rooftop of the city.
The building is beautifully renovated within the standards of classiness and elegance.the room is spacious, the bed comfortable, with + + amenities. the Kempiski luxury at a descent price, it was almost Christmas before time.

Amazing, brand new hotel (we visited Sept 2018, and hotel was less than one year old) in an old, classical building right opposite the Opera House. Staff very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is to die for. Clean and modern rooms. Got an amazing cigar lounge too. Good wifi.
