The rooms were very large, well appointed and the bathroom was lovely. The heated bathroom floor was a really welcome surprise. The breakfast buffet was excellent and had everything one could hope for. We had dinner at the hotel our first night and it was, by far, our best meal of the trip. Some pointers for the hotel - the showers were a bit spotty and it was a challenge to find consistently hot water. The rooms were a bit cold and it appeared the temperature could not be regulated. Other than this, we had absolutely no complaints.

Would have given 5 stars had the receptionist stood by the hotel motto (‘The Mindful Hotel’) because at checkout when I came to pay for the dinner (>€110) I was told I should have presented my discount card before I had the meal(?!). Nobody told me this. It took 3 mins to get the charge corrected . I then paid the city charge without complaint (nobody told me about this ahead of charging me). So I didn’t have the greatest checkout experience and was made to feel quite belittled by the attitude….

If you love architecture this art nouveau hotel is for you-absolutely beautiful. Location central in old town but quiet. Walking distance for sight seeing. Has Michelin starred restaurant in hotel reasonably priced 😀 Studio flat was clean and cosy. Bed so comfortable with quality bedding. Reception and house cleaners were professional and friendly. Nothing was to much trouble

What a dreamy hotel. The rooms are huge and comfortable (especially the heated bathroom floors), the hotel is PERFECTLY located with amazing views from some of the rooms (shout out to room 205) and the price was extremely affordable (barring the cost of breakfast which was around EUR 20/day per person which seemed a little excessive. I would stay here over & over & over again. Loved it.

We visited for the Christmas market and booked a suite on two levels. The bedroom and bathroom were at the top of the stairs. There wasn’t a window that you could open and the first night we slept appallingly because it was far too hot. The second night we opened some windows downstairs which helped a bit and by night three we’d worked out windows plus air conditioning were the best way forward! I would not pay for the upgrade again. I wish hotels would have the facility to have a tiny light in the en-suite so you can find the toilet at night but not be under a spotlight. We ended up using the downstairs loo but it was all still too light for me- I know, I’m a pain!
The breakfast buffet was very good; plenty of variety and always perfectly topped up. The hotel was very clean and the location, just a 30 second walk from the market, was perfect.
We enjoyed ourselves.

The hotel staff was very friendly, the lobby was beautiful with a bit of a livingroom you can sit in and relax in comfy chairs.

The room was nothing short of AMAZING! We were on the third floor, corner facing the Christmas market. We could see just the tops of a couple Christmas stalls.

We stayed in 3 diff hotels in three diff countries and this was our favorite!

I absolutely loved this hotel! It’s perfectly located in the heart of the city — just a short walk to great restaurants and all the main sightseeing spots — yet tucked away in a peaceful corner. The room was clean, spacious, and had a very comfortable bed, with a wonderful view right outside my window. The staff were friendly and always helpful, and the restaurant served a delicious breakfast. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

Great hotel in great location

Room was massive & clean. I was there out of season when it was raining in the evening so the bars on the street weren’t too noisy and I could have all the windows shut but during the first early evening when it was sunny it was noisy due to my room being right on the corner with all the bars. I imagine it would be quieter at the other end of the hotel. Hotel did provide ear plugs I imagine for this purpose.
Hotel was in a really great location for going to all the tourist spots & museums. Honestly the perfect place to stay for someone there for a couple of days to see museums etc. really close to lots of restaurants. Breakfast at the hotel was fantastic.
I wish the tv was on an arm so I could have directed it towards the bed rather than having to sit on the hard sofa but this is really a very small problem…!

Excellent hotel. Perfect location. Room was great although had quite steep steps up to the bedroom so not good if you struggle with mobility. Breakfast served til 11 at the weekend and is buffet style. We chose to eat in the hotel for 1 day of our stay which I’m glad we did as we had much better breakfasts in restaurants which are just around the corner from the hotel. Everything is very accessible from the hotel.

My jaw dropped to the floor when I walked into my hotel room. The room was stunning, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was luxurious. The hotel staff were so helpful and lovely! The restaurant was amazing, I had great food and enjoyed some Latvian wines. I will 100% be staying here next time I travel to Riga. The icing on the cake, was using the hotel spa area on my last night, be sure to ask about it!

Lovely hotel just steps away from the main squares within Riga’s old town. The room had a tonne of space, including a sitting room, and a spacious kitchenette. The breakfast buffet had a big selection of items, and weekend buffets even include a glass of sparkling wine which was perfect for making a mimosa. Check in and check out was a breeze. Great stay!

My husband was very happy with this hotel. I had picked it out & booked it then told him where we were staying. The room was very spacious, bed was comfortable, great views & we didn't want to leave the bathroom's heated tiles. It was so convenient for Old Town as well as other neighborhood we wanted to walk to. Beautiful hotel with great restaurant. Lovely hotel in a great location. We had a duplex suite which was spotlessly clean and very spacious.
The bed was huge and very comfortable but the duvet wasn’t quite big enough for the bed.
The sofa bed in the lounge was comfortable as a sofa but with a very thin and lumpy mattress it wasn’t suitable to use as a second bed.
The kitchenette was adequate.
The bathroom and downstairs toilet were spotlessly clean with lovely towels and great water pressure but the vanity mirror in the main bathroom was not working and is too low on the wall.
The bedroom has velux windows which let in lots of light in the day and have good blackout blinds but there was nothing to open them with so we had to climb on a chair.
With the windows open it was very noisy.
The reception and breakfast staff were all delightful. Breakfast was fine with a decent selection of hot and cold buffet.
We didn’t try the restaurant because it is closed on a Sunday and even though the sign says it is open until 11pm on a Friday we were told that the kitchen was closed at 9.50pm which was disappointing.
Overall we would recommend this hotel for its great location, cleanliness and friendly staff but a few small improvements would make it a 5 star review.

There was a lot of variety for breakfast. We also ate lunch at the restaurant which was very good.
We really appreciated the laundry facilities. The laundry soap and dryer were free.

Beautifully restored building with well appointed rooms and luxurious extras, like bed and bathroom linen. Coffee machine with good coffee pods (Lavazza). Wifi is terrible and rarely works, very poor signal. In the two story suite that we had, beautiful views of the old city. Poorly designed bathrooms which are beautiful and spotless, but trying to shower is a challenge if you're over 5 foot tall, I had to lean over to shower and still continuously bumped my head while trying to wash. Great location with cafes, restaurants, bakeries and mini-marts everywhere. Close enough to walk to all tourist sites.

Neiburgs Hotel Old Riga - Great Stay

My wife and I stayed for a week at Neiburgs Hotel and it was outstanding in every way. To start, the location in the heart of Old Riga was great as is the architecture of the building and rooms. The staff was friendly and helped with any question we had. We had breakfast in the restaurant everyday which got us ready for our busy days. Fantastic!

Beautiful hotel

Beautiful hotel within walking distance to lots of restaurants and shops. Towels and pillows were really nice and comfortable. Bed wasn’t very comfortable. Room had everything we needed. Quiet and spacious. Would recommend this hotel and would stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Staff were great too.

The room was a nice-sized studio. If we wanted to cook food there, we would have had everything we needed from the kitchen. I wonder if they have larger rooms for more people if we were to come back with more than just two people.

The hotel is in a convenient location to everything. Obviously, the Old Town is very walkable.

The breakfast was well worth the money. We had access to lovely foods and drinks.

We will stay here again on our next trip to Riga. Loved it!

Neiburgs is a gem of an hotel

Neiburgs is a superb hotel. Great, professional staff, lovely big room with sitting area and kitchenette in great location in Riga’s Old Town. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and I should love to stay there again. The breakfast was excellent too…
