A nice place to stay to visit Riga

The stay is pleasant because of the helpful staff. The room needs renovation as the air conditioning has knocking sounds. It's clean and the facilities are acceptable with kettle and coffee/ tea. The location is excellent.

Great stay in the heart of the city.

The staff was very friendly and helpful - lovely girl at the bar (sorry, didn't know the name) was amazing, very friendly and double checked if the drink was made right. Thank you.
The room was lovely, very comfortable.
The only negative note would be about the little bottles in the bathroom (shampoos and such) - some of them were half-full.
Otherwise a very pleasant stay.

I like this hotel , stayed here for last 4 years . Roughly 20 times so far . I can see natural wear and tear in Roots and at the property. It is clean and staff is very accommodating, this review is more of a shoutout to the owners and management “ don’t let things get away from you! There are multiple things at the property that need updating and upgrading . Like shower hose and dusty dated curtains, some furniture items and bedding! Small investment here and there will keep loyal customers like me coming back.

Not what we expected

The floor was filthy, we had to clean our feet every night before getting into bed or we'd end up with lots of bits in the bed. The bedding was ripped, there was no handwash or bodywash in the despensers -although a small bottle of bodywash was provided. The celing tiles were waterstained. Overall not what we expected and quite disappointing, especially since the reception area gave a great first impression and was beautiful.

Overall an extremely pleasant and enjoyable stay. Even though decor seems to be elegance from an older era both in rooms and hotel overall, it still is very well maintained and clean. It also has a quiet atmosphere as soon as you enter. Staff are very professional and accessible at all times. Also helpful and courteous. It is also in a very convenient location about 10 mins from old town, and still walking distance to key sites around the city. Even though central, the area is quiet and safe.Check-in was straightforward and the keys actually worked without having to be re-programmed.

The rooms are huge but only had one armchair and desk chair, and bathrooms gave you the option of both shower or shower/tub. The air conditioner also worked. The beds/pillows are comfortable but the pillows and duvet are feather down for those who are allergic. The only fault we found was cleaners had missed a spot on the coffee table, But otherwise all else passed the white glove test.

Breakfast was very good with good buffet selection of different cheeses, hams, fish, cooked eggs in different styles, fruit, desert and bakery, yogurt and cereals. Also different juices.

The Wi-Fi worked quite well, but does boot you out after a certain period. So you have to reconnect once it appears to be slowing down.

If you’re not really fussed about brand new modern decor, this hotel is really very pleasant in terms of stay, location, and price especially regarding room size.

Brilliant hotel for a stay in Riga

Excellent hotel very well furnished, very well kept topped off by an excellent location. We were able to walk to all the sites and attractions we wished to visit and the restaurants and bars of the old town a just a short stroll away. This hotel is in a great location, wedged between two parks and a short walk to Old Town. Our business suite had a second wash room with a toilet - a huge bonus for a family of 4. Parking is extra, and the breakfast buffet was just okay, but overall a very positive experience.

The hotel is located in a convenient and beautiful area of the city. Pleased with the quiet location, greenery around, close to the old town. A good Breakfast is also a feature of the hotel. Great hotel in the heart of the city

Radisson Blu Ridzene Hotel is perfectly located- in the very heart of the city. The room was very cozy, and the bathroom had a great décor. The bathroom had a heated floor, which was a very nice touch. This hotel has a sauna with a view of the park. The staff was helpful and friendly. All in all, I can highly recommend this hotel especially given the great winter rate.

The rooms were spotless clean and modern. The free breakfast was unbelievable it was like a fancy dinner buffet. So many choices! So good!!!! I was so impressed. The location was also central to everything. The staff went out of the way and will do anything to make your stay enjoyable.

Solid, but with one major disappointment

Good, solid hotel stay, with just one major disappointment.

The sauna (prominent in the hotel description: \"look over the city center while in the sauna\") was one of the main reasons why I chose this hotel. However, when I visited, in the morning just before checking out, I found a sign inside that stated that one has to let the reception know, one hour beforehand, if one wants to use the sauna. And indeed, the sauna was turned off when I visited.

I am all for the hotel reducing any wasteful use of energy, but it was very disappointing that guests are not notified of the fact that the sauna is switched off and that prior notification is required. It is a terrible decision to only display this information inside the sauna, instead of in the rooms or informing guests when checking in.

So overall, while it is a fine hotel overall, I do feel that having not been able to use the sauna, I would have rather chosen a better-value hotel that was closer to the centre of the old town.

Good hotel for business stays. Stable and fast WiFi, comfortable rooms, good service. A very good buffet breakfast is included, for dinner they offer a five course menu at the restaurant (that may change) but you can still offer from the bar menu, which has some reasonable choices.

Lovely hotel close to the centre of Riga. Very comfortable, good service, excellent condition. Enjoyed my short stay here. Parking is extra and the traffic is difficult. If you have a car, go straight into the car park (ramp under the glass pyramid). If you don't, it can take 20 minutes to get from the front of the hotel back to the car park entrance. Other than this minor irritation, the hotel is perfect.

Very Happy We Chose to Stay Here

The hotel is perfectly located for an easy walk to and around the Old Town as well as to the newer part of town with interesting Art Nouveau buildings and restaurants. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, being neither very big nor very small. The breakfast buffet is very good. A small inconvenience at the current time is that it is necessary to park the car at the sister Radisson hotel 5-10 minutes away for an extra 12 euros per day (discounted from 15 for non-guests) and pay inside at the desk of that hotel for the parking. Driving between the two is easy after the intricacies of the one-way streets is deciphered, but it is a pain the first time to find the ill-marked entrance. In short, I would choose to stay here again.

The hotel & staff were great, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The location was perfect the hotel and its facilities were really good. The only thing that let it down was the cleaning of my room, someone used my toilet and left it un-flushed and there was food debris under the mini bar that wasn`t mine. The restaurant was one of the best I have used in a hotel. I cannot praise the staff enough they helped me organise my trips and nit never seem too much trouble for them.

Radiosonde Blu Riga (Ridzene)

The third from four Radisson Blu hotels in Riga doesn't appear as a hotel on the fire glimpse. It looks like an office building.
From the inside it appears much brighter.
Staff is very friendly. Laundry and housekeeping is very professional.
Some services for the customer service like taxi ordering can be improved.
Rooms are well furnished and equipped. Nice bathroom.

In the neighbourhood are two parks. In the night time streets are not very busy.

Breakfast service also quite good.

Will return in the future.

Turned up having book a premium room with a Single King bed. When we arrived the hotel gave us a room with two singles. We were incredibly annoyed about this so reception decided it would be much better to push the two single beds together with some kind of sheet with a zip on it. Not at all satisfactory. The AC in the room was also not very good while weather was 30+ degrees outside but rest assured there was a 5 Euro bottle of water which was available across the street for 75c.
