It was bit of a shock that room was only going to be cleaned on demand or every four days, although the signs still all said leave towels on floor to be replaced. We had to rely on heated towel rail to warm room up. Although there was a radiator it wasn’t enough to heat rooms. Staff were lovely, very attentive and friendly. I must admit we only had breakfast on last day and regretted it. It was not worth the money…

Check in service was very nice and friendly, room was spacious and clean. I stay over the night, had no breakfast, so cant evaluate it. I for sure would give 5 stars, except I find it cold in the morning and conditioner didnt work, only central heating, which I only saw before leaving..

Typical Ibis hotel within easy walking distance of Riga old town, public transport and shops/restaurants. Easy check in / check out and was able to leave suitcase in lobby as flight wasn't until afgernoon. Room was clean, warm and quiet, one small issue was the 'double' bed was 2 single mattresses push together so they slid apart during the night and had to be readjusted. Shower worked perfectly.

My first experience with Ibis in Riga. Though I stayed at Ibis hotel in Caen, Normandy in August this year and I enjoyed it. Ibis Riga keeps up the standard though it was just one stay for me and I may be wrong.

Location's convenient. Everything's clean, the breakfast reasonable. The shower's not bad. The room on the 6th floor did not have either tea/coffee facilities or a fridge, although the staff provided a kettle on request. The air conditioning in the hotel was switched off for the cold season, but the room was unpleasantly warm night time and keeping the window did not help.

This hotel is in a great location if you’re arriving by bus/train as its near the station and only a 10 min taxi from the airport. The room isn’t the biggest but it has everything you need - including a smart TV! There’s a nice bar area at the back and I also found the staff to be friendly and helpful too.

Good hotel in central Riga

The hotel is centrally located, very close to the airport bus stop (line 22) and a large shopping center with a few coffee shops and a large supermarket. The old town is 10 minutes away. The rooms are cleaned every 4 days. There was some noise when we stayed due to a renovation but it happened only during the day.

The hotel is conveniently located—two minutes from the train station, a few minutes from the bus station and from the old town. Nearby, there are shopping centers, two huge supermarkets: Rimi Hyper and Stockmann. Check-in was pleasant, the receptionists were very friendly, as was all the hotel staff that I encountered later.
Unfortunately, the room (528) was extremely disappointing. There was no refrigerator or kettle in the room, though they can be found in other hotels of this brand. It was cold, the radiator did not warm the room even after being set to the maximum. I am very good with technology, but I could not turn on the air conditioner for heating. Probably, the hotel has problems with technical staff, since they do not repair what is broken. The walls in the toilet are shabby, and, where they tried to paint over the peeling places, they did it with paint of a completely different tone, and it looks ugly. The toilet paper holder is broken, so the roll of paper was constantly falling onto the floor. The door also needs repair. There were long hairs on the floor, and the rooms are not cleaned every day.
After a walk on September 26, I returned to the hotel at about 9 pm, there was an empty bottle of Coca-Cola on the floor in the elevator. Well, the next morning, when I checked out, the bottle was still there (photo taken at 08:18 on September 27), unbelievable!
The breakfast was decent for a hotel of that level: a good selection of food, everything was quite tasty.

A decent budget hotel

Budget hotel about 20min walk to Old Town, a bit too far for us. Had a Premium room 302. Good size, good shower, bit short on storage, some drawers or a couple of shelves would have been nice. Rooms serviced every 4 days. A good selection at the breakfast buffet, but only a small area which could get very congested at busy times. Reception staff were very helpful and nice. All in all an OK stay but would pay a bit more and stay nearer the Old Town next time.

Perfect staff and location

Location is excellent. 5 minutes to train and bus station on foot. Hotel is in the city centre so you can walk everywhere.

Breakfast is 12 euro. It's very good, reasonable price.

The room is comfortable.

Positives - can leave luggage, quite cheap, quite good location.
Negatives - no soap or handwash, no.shower gel, only shampoo. No tea coffee making facilities, broken lamp, extremely creaky floorboards, one lumpy pillow each, no spares, tv did not connect to channels until we wiggled cables.

Hotel is situated nearly opposite the central train station and shopping centre so very convenient. Airport bus stops nearby too. 5 min walk to the hotel. I found the staff friendly and helpful and the hotel clean and tidy. A nice Ibis hotel.

Perfect location near the main train station and close to the stop for the airport bus (number 22). All the main sites within walking distance, including the old town. The only thing you will need to watch out for in this hotel is the noisy floors, which can be annoying at night. I did not have the breakfast. Everything else was excellent. Very quick check in and check out. Staff spoke English.

Had some issues with air conditioning of my first room. I had to change rooms for nights 2-3. A/C worked in the second room, but it sounded like a faucet was running all night. Plus, the temperature is limited to a minimum of 23 degrees. The pillows were like a stuffed animal missing half it's stuffing.

Very kind and helpful staff is the best value of this hotel, as well location in the city center and youthful vibe it has. My room was clean and matched the expectations. Breakfast is good including some Latvian traditional options, like fish and dark bred. It is easy to walk to the Old Town, main station is close, shops, boulevard circle all in few minutes stroll.

Room is good,modern and ideal for a short stay, no view so its very dark as its facing another building wall which is very close,1 minor complaint ,right side of bed has no room for someone to move,did shove it across to make more room and lacks in a bedside table ,has plug but cannot put items anywhere apart from floor so used my travel case.

Brilliant location, breakfast menu limited.

Great location, staff helpful but lift out of action most of our stay and as we walked miles my hip was hurting each evening and still had to climb stairs to 3rd floor 😣. Breakfast menu disappointing so we ate out. Room lovely and we would return again but maybe request a lower floor.

Everything was good, this is a standard Ibis really. It is a good price for what it is. The only complaint i have is that it was noisy at night time, so i had broken sleep. This happened for two reasons 1. The positioning of the room (it was next to the lift and main walkway) and 2. Other guests.

Overall extremely well located hotel (away from drinking places etc. But close enough to every place your might need. Friendly and helpful staff, very neat and clean rooms. Only downside was that although hotel had very well sound isolation from street it didn't have so good isolation from door side and neighboring rooms. If you like to sleep in or not being distributed by sound you might struggle with this unless you get end of row room with no one in next room.

На втором этаже слышны разговоры с улицы и табачный дым. Закрываешь окно и духота и жара, кондиционер еле работал. Только что позволял не слышать скрип на потолке от постояльцев этажом ниже, слышен каждый шаг.
Если есть возможность, останавливайтесь на 6 этаже, над вами никто не будет ходить и шум с улицы долетать не будет.

PROS: Rooms are clean and modern. Relatively comfortable for price. CONS: However, do not stay here if you can’t sleep through noise or if you are bothered by cigarette smoke. All interior rooms surround a courtyard where noise echos and bounces everywhere and smoke rises and wafts into all windows. The hotel does not require guests to limit time there at night so guests use and abuse the privilege at all hours and it is loud. At check in, the hotel requires you to sign a document that says if you find that something is missing from your belongings you must tell them before you leave or too bad. It also states that you agree to not write a bad review about your stay. I told the check in clerk I wouldn’t sign it without crossing that out and she shrugged. Good thing. We got the room for very cheap otherwise I’d be even more upset about the experience.

Fantastic location (near transport, old town, university). Rooms were as shown, neat, modern & plenty of outlets. Several English-speaking TV channels. Breakfast had a lot of choices (many Latvian vegetable dishes, for example).

It was great. I've already reviewed it but anyway, Latvians aren't very friendly or nice. The receptionists were great. The breakfast people ? Awful! ...but typical. Food was great though. Just ignore The people. The post office down the street is the worst (post cards and stamps). Facility was great, new, clean and modern.

In the centre of the City.

Excellent value for money in the City Centre of Riga located just a couple of minutes away from Central Station and anything that you could need.

We had a problem when checking in as there was a problem with the key card reader but this was fixed within the 15 minutes guarantee. In addition to this the staff allowed to check in early without charge.

The bed was not that comfortable however so we did not have a great night sleep and we were not able to change the temperature of the air conditioning as it was in winter mode.

The food was very good value for money in the restaurant although not really to our taste on what we ordered.

Breakfast was average but nothing to write home about and to be honest I would not have missed it but ok otherwise.

I would stay here again.

My room was 406 and the room shakes every few minutes! I expressed my concern to the hotel staff and they said it's caused by buses and heavy trucks passing by in front of the hotel and trams at the back of the hotel. I was woken up a few times and I frankly would not have stayed there if my room booking was refundable.

The housekeeping also left a lot to be desired. They don't empty the garbage can nor replace used glass cups.

Hotel staff were very helpful when I asked what activities to do in nearby city. They printed the bus schedules (both going there and back) as well as local map in English so I don't need to look for local tourist information centre for maps

Great location. Room size was a little tight for a couple. Basic provisions were well catered for. Was ok for max 2 night stay. Buffet breakfast was adequate, but 1 our of 2 of the coffee machines was broken, which lead to ridiculous queues. A hot water tap for tea drinkers would aid this.

I arrived and departed Riga from the bus station, and hotel is a 10 minute walk away. It's in an ideal location for exploring the city. Breakfast was standard Ibis buffet, which is good, but I thought my room could have done with some TLC - pillows weren't great, toilet flush was temperamental, and shower drain was partially blocked. I'd still recommend the hotel, but felt it was a little below the usual Ibis standard.

Solid choice and good value for money

Very good location, walking distance to the bus station, train station and the old town. Large Rimi supermarket across the road by the train station. Staff were friendly and the complimentary breakfast was great. The room was large and spacious and is either new or recently renovated. However, being in an old building, the floors were creaky and the walls are thin. Not a big deal for me, but important to consider if you are sensitive to noise.
