Location,location,location,cant get any better than this...room is huge which is a real treat in europe. Unfortunately oom wasnt ready at 3pm which is the check in time ,this was a major bummer and frankly this SHOULD never happen because we all know how tiring it is after travelling for so many hours and you just want to freshen up or relax for a little bit . Front desk flippantly then said oh you can have one ice cream on the house , just 1, geez thanks. After a late check in it was obvious that cleaning was rushed as room had an unpleasant smell.For the price I paid, things couldve been better. Thank you though to the checkout person for allowing me to leave my luggage for a couple of hours so I can explore the old town more without having the carry around my luggage.

Bathroom products from Crabtree and Evelyn brand .. Powerful hair dryer . Breakfast is somehow expensive but excellent quality … So many choices .. all you can eat .. It was a surprise for us because in USA is not the same quality .. We highly recommend this facility while visiting Riga

Hotel location is absolutely perfect. Nice breakfast, decent rooms. Little snack section in the lobby if you’re feeling peckish at night. Overall I’d stay again. Perhaps for me was the inconsistency with housekeeping… at no point my shower gel or hand wash was replaced despite the bottles being empty. For a “Hilton” that felt like a bit of let down.

I needed to check out due to a change in my work schedule shortly after noon and was charged a full day for that because it was after 12:00. I asked for 1/2 rate to be charged because that is what the website said would be charged and the property declined.

The location of this hotel can’t be beat. Right behind the House of the Blackheads the Museum of the Occupation and Town Hall Square. Within a short walking distance to the Central Market, St Peter’s Church, many restaurants, souvenir shops and a mini market. The hotel also had parking so if you are driving it’s extremely convenient.

We stayed in one of the family rooms with an extra sofa bed. There was plenty of space in the room. The bathroom had both a shower cubicle and a large bath.
The biggest downside for us was the extreme firmness of the mattress which my wife struggled to get comfortable on.
The location of the hotel is great for exploring the old town. Really close to good bus / tram stop with a ticket machine. I highly recommend the 5 day ticket which is incredible value at 10 Euro. You can get the number 22 bus to and from the airport and save 30 Euros on taxi fares.
The free DIY laundry room is also a handy feature for longer stays.

I did not appreciate the fact that I had confirmed reservation for Xmas Eve and the restaurant closed at the time of the reservation. No explanation or anything just sorry it's closed. We ended up having to get food from from rimi just so we could eat. Nice overall hotel but skip the restaurant!

The hotel facilities themselves were generally decent in terms of cleanliness, etc. Some of the staff were friendly and pleasant to guests, while others were at times dismissive or rude.
The major issue we encountered arose with the room service. The hotel seems to often understaff their food services team, so that there is insufficient staff to deliver service in a timely fashion. We ordered room service dinner @ 8:45pm (restaurant closes 10pm), and were told it could take upto 90 mins because they were too busy. Despite our frustrations with that we agreed due to limited options. Our food ended up being delivered after more than 2 hours and was cold.
When we expressed our disappointment the next day, we were told by a junior staff member that management said that it was our fault for ordering from the restaurant and they were unable to do anything aside from offer us a complimentary breakfast on our “next stay.” We asked for someone from management to contact us directly which they committed to do but never followed up. We were shocked at this management response and it marred an otherwise acceptable stay.

This is THE BEST place to stay if you want to see the center of the Old Town Riga. The hotel is right behind the House of the Blackheads by the Old Town Square.

The first HORRIBLE hilton experience and probably the reason I will avoid hiltons (except great hilton in gdansk) . Quality of soundproofing is on a youth Hostel level. the pictures ahow slightly Tinder-catfish level building that ia actually a remodelled soviet house on a shady sidestreet that still manages to get all sounds from traffic, and on top of that paperwalls. Every step from neighbours are transported. I was ashed to aks for a new room and gor one the next day, that disnt help. They asked if I was happy and i told them the above, and got the reply \"well we did all we can\".... :). Yeah if thats enough for you to feel good than yes, but I would be more interested in why and maybe see a pattern. all this in top a price of 150 Euro per night is nothing more than a big disappointment. I will not return.

Just prior to Christmas my wife and I spent a long weekend at the Hilton garden Inn in Riga city centre.
The hotel is in the historic old town and the location just could not be better for anyone visiting Riga. The historic town with all its sights and everywhere you want to visit was literally on the doorstep.
The hotel was modern, rooms very good, extremely clean, Wi-Fi excellent and we would give it a 5 star review.
We had a great stay and would certainly have the hotel as our first choice if we ever return to Riga.
What is worthy of special note is the staff, we stay a lot in hotels and in most cases the staff are very good, in this hotel they were exceptional, especially Martina Korzane-Markevica who was helping out on reception. She is the hotel food and beverage manager but due to covid the restaurant was only open for breakfast.
Martina could not have been more helpful. On one occasion we needed to find a place to take a covid antigen test (lateral flow test). Martina found out where they were doing them locally, made the appointment for us, gave us a route map to walk to the clinic, gave me a photo of the outside of the clinic so that I would recognise its entrance (which was at the back of an office block). Martina also gave me her telephone number and although it was her day off at the time of our appointment she asked me to call her to let her know that everything went all right. Everything went smoothly and a big thank you to Martina.

Bed was nice and soft, all necessary facilities were available but the thermostat wasn't functioning correctly. The poorly designed walk-in shower left more to be desired, as the entire bathroom floor along with the rest of the room would end up covered in water. It did not help that our room was not cleaned once during our 3 day stay.

Why bother wearing masks?
Most guests were not wearing a mask when going to the breakfast buffet breathing over all the food. Staff did not seem to care. What is the point of wearing a mask in the lobby if people don’t care handling food
