Room was immaculate with comfortable bed, pillows and quality linen and towels. Hot shower and spacious, quiet room. Breakfast was exceptional really set you up for the day. Staff were brilliant both in reception and during breakfast and had maps and local information etc. Less than a minute to the local bus stop (number 47 into town, 46 return) or you can enjoy a 45 minute walk along the prom to the old town. Would stay here again.

Super Clean and simple hotel. Excellent prices and amazing tv with Chanel’s in bedroom. The beds need updating as very squeaky and uncomfortable. Otherwise this would be a 5/5 for a budget hotel.

Clean and comfortable room, however the AC did not work very well so it got very warm. Mini fridge did not get very cold and was turned off completely at first. Had to pull out the entire cabinet to access the back of the fridge to turn the dial up. Even on the highest setting, it was only slightly colder than room temperature. Parking was convenient and easy, however there are not too many spaces so this could be an issue at times as there isn’t much street parking in the area. Convenient location to take the bus into Palma. Breakfast buffet was good. Overall a good stay.

Lovely accommodation on the hill

Very lovely accommodation, spacious with a balcony. Breakfast had a nice selection. About 4kms from the city centre, so not the closest location in terms of walking, but plenty of buses (bus no. 4, 20 & 46) taking about 22 mins, costing €2. 1.5 km walk to the awesome medieval castle \"Castell de Bellver\". Please note, the pool is closed during the off season.

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The room was modern and very clean. The staff were very friendly! The hotel is only 10 minute walk to the strip and the Harbour. There is a bus stop right outside that could take you into Palma city. The swimming pool is not too big. The location isn’t a very tourist area so a lot of restaurants don’t serve food between 4-7pm. We found the clubs and restaurants to be a bit on the more expensive side than we had hoped. For couples and friend holidays it would be great but I don’t think it would be the location would be fit for children as the strip is constantly packed and full of people partying and drinking. But overall we did enjoy our stay!

Everything was absolutely exceptional. Our room for 3 people was so spacious and comfortable. The balcony also had plenty of room and we enjoyed sitting outside in the morning. Only complaint is that breakfast was not included with my booking, which was essentially my fault but I wish there was a better distinction since most hotels include complimentary breakfast. Overall a lovely hotel!

very clean and tidy hotel. If you don't mind walking up steps or hill its ok otherwise about 30 mins to centre of Palma or 20 mins walk to beach or by bus 3 euros pp single fare.When we arrived Sunday and left Saturday there was 2 hen leaving and stag party arriving so not sure if it would have been noisy. Breakfast is 14 euros if not booked, otherwise there's no places to get b/fast only croissant and hot drink.

Ive stayed at NH in other cities and this hotel seems to a re branded model. The hotel in Den Haag is much nicer. Also located up on a hill without a view. Next visit I would look at a different location

Lovely location but out of Palma main city

Great hotel but located up a steep hill so expect a walk. Taxis are about €7-€10 from old Palma depending on time of day and the No. 46 bus stop is just outside. The hotel itself is fairly quiet and small and suited us well. The pool is clean and quiet when we stayed there. The staff are very helpful and our room was clean with A/C. I would stay again but think that a more centrally located hotel may suit people who don't want to walk/bus into town. We arrived early in Palma and got to the hotel at about midday. We were told that check-in was at 3 p.m. but had hoped that we could check in early but this could not be accommodated as our room was not ready. Although the hotel offered to store our bags, there was nowhere for us to change so we had to wait around until 3 p.m. Despite being told about the check-in time, it would have been nice to have been accommodated earlier.

A nice, modern hotel a short bus or taxi ride from the centre and cathedral. It is also a short downhill walk to Porto Pi where there are restaurants and shops. There is a taxi rank opposite the hotel and it costs about 10 Euros to the centre. The local bus and hop on hop off bus stop near the hotel. The staff are very friendly and efficient.

There were six staying in three rooms. Hotel staff were very helpful especially as we needed a twin room and one of our party were arriving later than the rest. Room service was good and prompt and the breakfast was also good with hot food being prepared when requested. Definitely a place to stay in Palma.

Great hotel with friendly staff

Arrived as the restaurant was closing but they didn't mind and cooked us a light meal with drinks.

Room was clean fresh and modern. Excellent pool and patio area and friendly staff.

There's a small shop and a cafe/bar a few mins away and the PI Mall is a 5/6 min walk. Lots of shopping and restaurants. A short €7 taxi ride takes you to the city with the cathedral shopping and bars/restaurants and culture. All in all a great place for a break.

Nice hotel, great pool, shame about the hill!

Slight confusion at check in when they insisted they couldn't comply with request for twin beds rather than a king size (despite requesting weeks prior). They did solve the problem. Overall, staff were cheerful and went out of their way. Room service coffee in morning very efficient.

We always had to ask for drinks at reception then wait in the bar until someone attended. No food after 1pm and there is little around the hotel for snacks (one small convenience store and cafe). Not a massive problem though.

Ten minute downhill walk to local restaurants and it was incredibly hot so we didn't ever walk back up (4 or 5 Euros in a taxi each time). We are both quite fit and like to walk but nothing would have convinced me to tackle the hill, very steep and taxis belting along very fast with almost no pavement.

The room (208) was lovely, nice balcony overlooked pool and garden. Very clean and modern, plenty space and ample wardrobe etc. Decent hairdryer, air con very good. Cleaning was excellent, room made up beautifully every day. Balcony was shaded in morning and sunny all afternoon until quite late. Ask for this side of hotel, other side looks on to street. We had a great view across to city. The pool was lovely, very quiet, never a problem getting a sunbed and peaceful (no music etc).

Would recommend for a short break over city hotel. Was easy to get a taxi back and forth and not expensive (7 euro to old town). Not much for kids there though, which suited us fine.

Better Air Conditioning PLEASE!

The temperature of the room on both of our stays was just too hot! They should adjust the AC so it goes a bit lower than they allow. Having restrictions on the temperature of the room is unacceptable. I'm paying for comfort, so please let me be comfortable. I'll not stay here again because of this.

Walked from bus stop - big mistake! Difficult to find - not on TomTom/iphone MAPS although it was on Google maps! Then we walked straight past it as the Hotel name outside building is Hesperia! Not NH Ciudad de Mallorca!!!!!!!!

Room nice but sink tap was hot on cold feed and cold on hot feed! A bit dangerous.

Location is up steep hill and a bus ride from town centre which was disappointing. Luckily there is taxi rank outside.

Nice pool area, although the pool is very deep!

A lovely hotel. Our room was spacious with good air conditioning and a small balcony area.Nice pool area with good loungers, umbrellas and daybeds. Excellent breakfast buffet with vast choice.
We had a car so the location was fine for us but you would be limited if you didn't have a car. The bus stop directly behind the hotel is good though, the bus takes you into Palma every 20min or so. You can walk downhill to the shopping centre at Portopi in less than 10mins if you go the right way! We also walked to Cala Major in the evening but it took us nearer to 30 mins - and the hotel is back up a very steep hill! Overall, a lovely hotel and a lovely holiday.

Highly Disappointed

The room was nice, and we would have enjoyed it infinitly more if the air conditioning hadn't been so woefully inadequate for staying in Palma in the summer. Additionally, in order to have electric in the room, you had to insert your key card in a slot at the door, which is something I've never experienced before. So, since we were only given one key card, if we had left the room, we would have lost what little air conditioning that might have existed up to that point. I hardly slept, it was so hot in that room. We were VERY disappointed. If the AC had been proper, and we had had unlimited access to electricity, I would feel much differently about the hotel. As it is, I would NEVER CONSIDER staying there during the summer again.

Lovely hotel, amazing staff

This hotel was brilliant. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and when we asked for a recommendation of a seafood restaurant, they went out their way to find and book one for us. They were always friendly and everything was done with a smile.

The breakfasts were great, a large choice and everything was very fresh. I liked the fact that it was from 7.30-10.30 as well - no having to rush to get there and it never got too busy. The room was lovely - a good size, great bathroom, all very modern and clean. We were on the ground floor so had people walking right past our patio doors but this wasn't really an issue. Nice pool area and gardens too.

The surrounding area is nice, there are lots of other hotels and it's nice and safe to walk around. There is a big shopping centre 5 minutes walk away and it's only 15 minutes walk to Cala Major beach which is beautiful. The reason I gave the location a 'good' rather than 'excellent' is that there wasn't really any restaurants or bars we could walk to and there was a steep hill down from the hotel. Fine in the day but not an option with heels on at night, and not if you're elderly. However, there is a bus stop right behind the hotel which takes you into the centre of Palma and a taxi rank right in front which made things very easy.

Good hotel in quiet residential area of town

A good budget hotel in a quiet residential part of town. The regular bus (No.46) takes you from the centre of town to the door of the hotel. Staff were very helpful and the room was clean and well equipped. Would definitely use again and be happy to recommend.

Pleasant, clean hotel with well trained, helpful staff. Taxi to central Palma is reasonable and the 46 bus stops nearby. There is hotel parking nearby but it is limited and if back later in the day not easy to find a place. Off street parking is also difficult to find. Overall a good 4 star hotel with outdoor seating, pool and grounds. Some other restaurants are within walking distance of hotel but be prepared for hills. The views from our room were pleasant, across the city rooftops to Belver Castle and mountains in the distance. Enjoyable stay.

Needs a hand out guide on arrival re buses, beaches, bars restaurants near by! Very hilly location, outside the centre of the main sites of the city. A more inviting bar also needed. A clean hotel with good rooms but not much in the immediate area except a big shopping mall and cheap burger bars. Nice garden and pool though.....

The Hotel on a Hill

Nice clean and tidy hotel whose gem lies in its superb staff. They where most attentive and efficient and very helpful. The Hotel sits high on a hill above the west side of Palma bay near the cruise ship Dock . Simple facilities include a smart pool area, a small gym (with limited equipment) and pleasant restaurant facilities with a great breakfast buffet. The location does mean some kind or transport is recommended either bus, which stops outside, or a car. You can walk down the hill to the large shopping mall of Porta Pi but remember you got to walk back up. You can walk down the hill a level and find a more main bus route which has a much more frequent service usually less than 10 mins at worst. Taxi's are also readily available but from experience ask for a rough price before committing as the prices vary increadibly from cab to cab despite supposidly being metered.

A clean 4* Hotel . Friendly staff that let us book in earlier than 3pm .Impressed with the buffet breakfast , great choice of food and beverages . The pool was clean and quiet . We loved our Castle view from our balcony but there is some traffic noise . Hotel near to a bar and shop but you need to be good at steps as in a hilly area , a good 15 minutes walk to other shops and restaurants . We walked to the beach which took 25 minutes but buses run frequently if not one for walking . We bought a day pass for the tourer bus (red Palma) and it took us to beach , Castle and around Palma ( Cathedral) and marina , well worth it .We had a wonderful holiday and our highlights were the magnificent Carhedral , Cala Major beach and the Castle .

Rooms are lovely & clean, could do with a kettle, very comfortable beds & cleaned every day, breakfast very good & service very efficient. I used the gym 5 times, could do with clean towels in there daily & maybe an upgrade of some of the equipment. Ideal for catching public transport & we really enjoyed it here. Beware of the hilly location, although that wouldnt stop us booking here again!

We stayed off season on business. Unfortunately the Expedia website through which i booked, said parking was included in a standard room. It isn't. However the hotel staff was very accommodating. It is a 30-40 mins walk to the cathedral and centre but handy for the marina. Very clean & pleasant. Good value for money.

I do have to say that Hotel facilities, cleanness and room comfort are an important part of an excellent hotel experience, however, staff can make the difference. At the Hesperia Ciutat the Mallorca staff are definitely a five star group of people. I highly recommend this hotel, they have a great group of professionals which are helpful and willing to do an extra to help their guests.

Near to Port

Stayed here to be near the port for early start on Denia Ferry. However, did not know the terrain. It required a taxi to get our stuff to the port because of the elevation above the port. The hotel was very clean, and the staff (during the day) all spoke very good English. Our room was large and comfortable with air conditioning, and a balcony. We did not use much of the facilities, and we walked out to nearby Porto Pi shopping mall to eat in a suprisingly good Tapas bar.
Our early morning start meant we could not take breakfast, but there was coffee and croissants and orange juice waiting for us in reception - a nice touch.

This is the 3rd time I have stayed at this hotel. It is now looking a little tired. It needs a paint inside and out and a bit of a spruce up. The hotel pool is fab and set in a pretty garden. It is a short walk to the shopping centre at Porta Pi but you will have to get a taxi to Palma centre which costs around 7 euro unless you dont mind a good walk.

We stayed here for a week and was very impressed. Hotel Staff very Friendly and Hotel rooms were nice and clean. Also A very good price.

One word of slight warning its on a hill and is about half & 45 mins walk into the centre.
We quite enjoy walking and as long as you find the short cuts you will get to the port within 5 mins. There is taxis and buses outside the hotel if you need them anyway.

Would stay again!!

Palma is a lovely city-enjoy.

Quiet break away.....

This is a very nice hotel with very welcoming staff. My wife and I were made to feel welcome from the first moment.

The rooms were airy and well-equiped. Modern furniture in good condition, a large bathroom and flat-screen satelite TV. The balcony gave us a partial seaview. The hotel catering was limited due to time of year, but we knew this before booking. The breakfast was good and good value. The house keeping was excellent.

The bus stop serving the city was just outside the door and a bus every 15 minutes meant we rarely used the taxi rank, which was at the same place.

Th hotel was a short (10 inutes) walk from the nearest restaurants and bars (Rifif is very good), but we prefered the old city, with its excellent choice of bars and restaurants (La Boveda and Bar Dia stick in the mind).

All in all, an excellent holiday hotel in an interesting city (visit the Fondacio Pilar & Joan Miro!!!!).

Decent Hotel Up The Hill

Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fairly good though the fruit was sometimes not ripe or overripe. You have a fairly steep climb up the hill from port and the bus stops. No views of bay. This is a good option to consider when you don't want to be affiliated with any one beach, plan to rent a car to go to different places, and don't mind some bus rides to get to the center of town or close-in beaches. Palma's a fairly big place so don't know where else I would recommend unless you want to spend more money.

Biggest problem with hotel was that for several days the A/C smelled like a sewer. They told us this had to do with the rising tide but this sounded like nonsense to us.

A very good hotel and really a 4 star

The location of the hotel was no good. Far fromthe main atractions of the city, but the personnel was excellent, helpfull and friendly.
The room was excellent as well, the inconvenience is that we have to walk a lot to reach it, since it was in another building, but, overall I would recommend it.

Hesperia Hotel, long weekend in Palma

I liked the hotel though it was a bit further out than we had anticipated and a bit of a climb up, fine for us but may be a problem for elderly and young kids. However buses and taxis are close by. Nice and modern though the coffee bar/bar near the pool didn't seem to be open so we had to bring in supplies. The best thing about the Hotel is the staff who are extremely helpful and friendly and speak excellent English. Would recommend it/go back.

Nice hotel, a bit distant from city center

Hesperia is a quality hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. The location is a bit far from the main city of Palma, but a 5 minute walk from the hotel will get you to a bus that stops by every 10 minutes or so. The room was a bit smoky when we first entered, but otherwise a very nice setup. No free breakfast :(...Overall satisfied and would recommend

Business hotel, friendly reception staff

Very much a business hotel, limited views from balconies, limited room service. Breakfast very expensive for quality. Room very big and comfortable and hotel staff very multilingual and well informed about the area and island. Not a hotel for lounging and spending time in but for no nonsence comfortable accomodation on direct bus routes and 10 minutes from town centre (by bus) can't beat it. Nice vibe of other clients and staff, without 'faff' of holidaymakeing atmosphere. Bar area quiet atmosphereless and bland, so really you have to be outside hotel for eating/coffes etc. all minumum 10 minute walk away but the bus does stop direct outside the hotel so is easy to get to beach and centre of town. I liked the atmosphere and it did feel relaxed. Think a little overpriced for facilities it has as a tourist traveller who wanted to spend some time relaxing in hotel.

Clean rooms, friendly staff

Room and hotel were both very clean and the staff very friendly. Free parking and no hidden charges. Nice breakfast buffet is offered for an extra fee. Pool was out of service during our visit, though it was the off-season (November) and a bit cold outside anyway. Only real complaint is that their only recommendations for an affordable seafood restaurant were far too pricey for us (over twice what we're used to paying in the US), so we ended up searching on our own and finding a restaurant that was just what we were looking for (classy, tasty, seafood) on the Paseo de los Illetas (Palma-bound road) in Illetes with average prices much more comparable to what we were used to.

Much better than I expected

We had read a few mixed reviews before we arrived, expecting the worse we were more than pleased. We only stayed 1 night at the end of our holiday and booked 3 rooms (family of 5 + aupair, youngest being 5). Hotel staff were very nice, nothing was too much trouble including letting us use their storage facilities and pool until 7pm on the day of departure. The rooms were modern, well furnished - very nice bathrooms. Beds were very comfortable and all rooms appear to have balconies (not all look onto gardens). Aircon was much appreciated. Pool was fine - large and deep (small childrens end), not many sunbeds but not that many people using them during the day. Also can be shady around the pool which was perfect for us with small children. Hotel is on hill and not walking distance from centre but close to shopping centre and restaurants. Breakfast buffet worth the 10 euros per person but coffee was rubbish. Only critisism was availability of food and drink during the day - had to use vending machine?? Would recommend though - excellent value
