The hostel is about 2 km from the harbour of Palma (5 minutes away by car), 5 km from the centre of Palma de Mallorca and 200 metres from the beach. The resorts of Cala Nova, Puerto Portals, Palma Nova and Magalluf are all in the vicinity.
Marivent Palace (where the Spanish royal family spend their holidays), the famous Joan Miró Museum, the international Bellver College and the Porto Pi shopping centre are all located nearby. The train station lies within 5 km of the hostel and Palma de Mallorca Airport is some 10 km away.
The hostel enjoys a friendly atmosphere and a peaceful location. The building has been fully renovated and modernized and comprises 23 comfortable rooms spread over 3 floors.
It offers free Wi-Fi in the reception area and the swimming pool area. There is a garden, a terrace, a lobby and a TV room.
All the rooms have an en-suite bathroom, complete with shower, washbasin and WC. Some rooms have a balcony or window.
Safes are available on request, subject to charges. In the outdoor complex there is a swimming pool with a poolside snack bar, sun loungers and parasols.
The hotel is located just 2 km from the golf course in Bendinat. Sun loungers and parasols have also been laid out ready for use on the beach.
Approaching from the port by car, travel in the direction of Palma Nova, then take the turning towards Cala Mayor following the Porto Pi shopping centre. From the shopping centre, the hotel is a 20-minute walk away.
Alternatively guests can take the no. 3 bus.
From the airport, take the motorway in the direction of Palma. Guests may then take the coastal road (Paseo Maritimo), past both the port and the Porto Pi shopping centre, then take the turning for Cala Mayor.
An alternative route is taking the motorway in the direction of Vía Cintura and exiting at Cala Mayor. The bus no.
1 travels from the airport to the Plaza de España, from where guests may take the no. 3 bus in the direction of Cala Mayor (alighting at Hotel Nixe Palace).

This is not a “superior property” as is advertised. Initial impressions are “OOOH nice!” but once the stay has begun the dirty bathrooms cold water, slow flow showers, dangerous bathroom floors - slippery ++ when wet - poor tired decor become evident.
No drink facilities in the room - I was introduced to a kitchen three days into my four day stay - down three flights of stairs and way round the back of the house.

They cancelled my reservation, and had to overpay upon check in to secure another reservation. My toilet was broken for 3 days and they fixed it using a plastic bag. I was transferred to a better room day 3. The location is great, but it is an old hotel and the staff is negligent.

Really the only issues were the wear on the very cool furnishings and the showers that were kinda hard to work with and wimpy and the beds were very firm like all the beds we encountered in Argentina and Uruguay. Everyone should get some modern toppers for their mattresses and people will probably be much more comfy.

Receptionist told me that Expedia has it wrong. balcony in very few rooms and very very small balcony like you cannot use it. Other than that, very helpful staff and very nice location

When we arrived the front door was locked and it took a really long time to have anyone come by and let us in - this was around 10am. The staff was not easy to find for help during our stay as they didn’t seem to have any regular opening hours for their front desk - this was worse during the day than at night. I really liked the location. The location would be the main reason I would stay there again. Narrow cobblestone street near cafes and restaurants. Felt relatively safe. Cons would be that not all the info on Expedia held true. There was not a 24 hour front desk. The roof top area that looked really cool was not open to experience.

You do get enough light and it was great for us, but depending which apartments you get you will have either street or internal courtyard windows, if you are fussy.

Staying at San Telmo Suites was great, from the character building that was recently renovated, to the cleanliness of the room and all of the amenities to the fantastic service received at the front desk. The room was well equipped, access to a common kitchen was very helpful and the terrace at the top was a great place to chill and enjoy the evening colors. It's located in the heart of San Telmo, few minutes to the market, restaurants and cafes all around. The street was safe and we liked having a locked front door to the hotel.

place is ideally located to explore BsAs on foot. anything you need is within 5 min on foot. staff is SUPER friendly and helpful, they will respond to any questions or requests immediately and with a big smile. availability of kitchenette with microwave, electric kettle, fridge/freezer is great! place feels authentic and historic. I will surely stay there again when I return to this wonderful city.

This is not a luxury hotel. It’s in a good area and in a charming older building but otherwise is damp and cold. My first room had mould on the bed sheets from the dampness. The person at the front desk was able to move me to another room quickly which was better but the heater did not work and was very cold. Rooms are a good size but an odd layout with the bed in a loft above. Neither of the rooms had working deadbolts which made and were on the first floor so didn’t feel very secure. Glad I only booked one night.

Fantastic to be right in the middle of San Telmo! Great restaurant across the street and the Sunday market at the end of the street. The room was comfortable and clean. Only negative was the bathroom door was broken/didn’t close and the AC unit was quite loud at night. Would definitely stay there again as these were pretty minor!

First off, I will say that you get what you pay for. The guy at the front desk was very friendly, so I will give them that. However, they do not have any sort of amenities whatsoever. The “king-sized” bed is two twin mattresses pushed together. There is no morning coffee or anything of the sort. I don’t know where people were getting breakfast, but I did not see any sort of breakfast anywhere. The only thing that the hotel did was remake the bed every day. You had to use the same towels. Also, the bidet in the bathroom with the leak if you used it so the bathroom floor would be wet consistently. The junior suite is incredibly small. It might be good for one person, but for a couple, it was very crowded. Like I said earlier, if you are on a budget, it’s great and it’s in a great area for walking around. However, I do feel like you can find something of higher quality. This felt more like a high end hostel.

The International Soccer playoff was going on when we were there so we had to give a little slack to these guys. We missed a day of cleaning cuz it was time to watch the match. We pretty much understood. The next day we almost missed again but we asked for them to come. It is a neat place and the location is good with the Sunday market up the street and several places to eat and shop in the area. Agustin was very helpful, keeping our large suitcase while we did a short trip up to Iguazu. We would stay again.

Charming conversion of old home with high ceilings into rooms with loft bedroom and ensuite above lounge and second bathroom. Some problems with plumbing should be addressed-eg leaky shower head (easily fixable with new head) and drain blockage (quickly repaired ). Comfortable bed with nice linens. Excellent breakfast. Polite, helpful staff. Would certainly stay again.

Had an amazing stay here - staff are excellent and got a superb recommendation for a steakhouse from the guy at the front at Desnivel - thanks! Rooms are very large and smartly done - never an issue with noise. The neighborhood is really cool with tons of bars and restaurants within a short walking distance. I would definitely stay here again if in Buenos Aires! Only thing is the TV is upstairs in the Executive Suite and it would be nice if there was one downstairs.

We did book this thinking that it was self catering but that is not the case. The only equipment in the room was a fridge and a coffee machine. Notwithstanding this we greatly enjoyed our short stay here.
The breakfast was a little strange but perfectly acceptable. The room itself was different. It appears to be a converted dwelling with very high ceilings meaning that the room was split over two level with the bed upstairs on a mezzanine.

Place bit odd as bed upstairs overlooking living area which is ok but bathroom and toilet downstairs and no room by bed for suitcase so had to get changed downstairs... quite run down various small things didnt work eg door lock not perfect, air extactor vent in bathroom didnt work, the safe needed the battery replaced, the light switches did not work upstairs from downstairs v-v. All a bit odd but service good and bed was very comfortable.

I absolutely loved this hotel, and would stay again, but with a small caveat: I'd want any other room than the one with the water boilers on top of its roof. They are very loud, and for a relatively sensitive sleeper, can be a real disturbance as the noise even pierced my earplugs at times. But the noise wasn't consistent; it only properly bothered me on one night. Otherwise, this is a real gem of a hotel with very friendly service and very spacious, comfortable rooms. Great value too.

We booked two executive suites. On arrival were shown into two less expensive inferior rooms obviously they were hoping we wouldn't notice the difference which we didn't until the next day. The rooms were dark, dingy, small, smelly, no windows, no bathrobes as advertised, the bathrooms smelled of urine. We booked the option with breakfast but the confirmation came through without breakfast included (not that it was worth eating anyway). When approached about the different rooms, the manager contacted Wotif and they did refund to us the difference in price. Avoid this place, there is much better accommodation to be found

Great stay just not for too long
was here for over two weeks, only made one request- that was to please have the floor cleaned. I like to walk around barefoot, got back to the hotel, towels were restocked and you guessed it floor was still super dusty. I'm not one to go complain over such petty things, i found it very disappointing that not one day my floor was spiffy clean as I requested. Bed was very very comfortable I do have to say every night I slept very well. Hotel starting to feel a little worn. We've been staying here for several years now, and the hotel has seen better days in terms of the latches working on the doors, the key's working in the hotel rooms, and the breakfast has never been spectacular.

They didn’t have a room available for me! However, they did have my Expedia reservation. The manager offered and found a hotel 2 blocks away for me. They paid for the cab and hotel bill. The cab driver tried to charge me...I simply grab my luggage and walk-in to the hotel.

The title says it all. The hotel was quite beautiful and the breakfast was a good Continenal breakfast. The staff was also very courteous and helpful with all of our questions. However, our room was literally right in the lobby area (you have to see it to understand). We could hear all of the business taking place at the front desk and since the dining area is literally right outside our room, we were awoken at about 3:30AM by the sounds of breakfast being prepared. The space truly should not even be a guest room.

Old World charm in Buenos Aires!
San Telmo is an elegant old home that has been turned into a boutique hotel by an excellent architect. It has lots of old world charm, an internal courtyard with a glass roof and fountain. lt is located on a tree lined cobblestone street in a very arty section of town (there is a cafe called \"La Poesia\" on the next corner, and a section of the university is nearby. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, warm or accommodating. I'd go back in a heartbeat!

It's small hotel, no restaurant, just little bar where also breakfast is served. Bar may be cozy, but very nice, furnished with antique chairs and great paintings on the wall. Rooms are very original with mezzanine, I loved it! If you don't mind walking stairs you will like this hotel very much!

Great hotel, great area, and lovely staff
The modern room was a split level unit, with plenty of room for what you would normally pay for a cramped hotel room. The breakfast was ok as there was not much variety, however the staff made up for this by being so helpful. We were able to stay in the lounge for a few hours and continue to use the wifi after checkout, as our pick up was not for another 5 hours. They even let us borrow a key card so we could go in and out of the hotel.

Quirky hotel with interesting split-level rooms. But this means that air conditioning struggles to cope with warm nights in the upper sleeping area. Breakfast a bit basic but good wifi and attentive staff. Local area is gritty but good for bars, cafes and restaurants.

It was fine, but I'd hoped it would be better. The photos on the web page are significantly more glamorous than the rooms. Breakfast OK. Wifi in rooms was not good--lots of slow movement and disconnections. Water was not hot in shower for one day, but it did become fixed after we asked. Lovely architecture and renovation. Drains in courtyard smelled quite a bit some times. Pleasant staff.

True to it's name
I thought this hotel was a great value. It looked and felt luxurious for the money, and the service was great from the very start. We have a 20 month old son, and we were a little nervous about the stairs, but we just were careful, and everything worked out great. The bed and bathrooms were particularly memorable, and it was really nice to have the extra living area. It felt like a small apartment, less the kitchen. The location was perfect for accessing all the interesting sights around town, as well as great markets and restaurants. San Telmo is the best area for walking, in my opinion. When we come back to Buenos Aires, we will always stay here. Great hotel!

The hotel was in the perfect location, lots of amenities close by and perfect for anyone wanting to savour the cuisines in Buenos Aires, as well as the tango! Very close to Plaza de Mayo and not a huge distance away from other attractions. Room was brilliant and incredibly comfortable, we'll designed and furnished! Definitely would stay here again.

Love this hotel, and will return again and again -- so long as the San Telmo Suites will have me. Two minor drawbacks: (1) Can hear between rooms at times, and (2) my kid did not have much to eat for breakfast.

The hotel was great, the hotel/rooms were fantastic looking, beds were comfortable, the rooftop lounge was very pretty. The manager was very helpful and honest -- we asked him for a cab and to change money, and he told us how to do those things directly because if the hotel did it it would cost much more due to taxes, I think. (There was a plumbing issue causing one bathroom to smell terribly of urine - so bad we could not even go inside it -- but since we had 2 bathrooms in our room and were only staying 2 nights, we didn't bring it to the management's attention, so I can't comment on how they would have dealt with that had it been a real issue.) In a very cool, walkable neighborhood that seemed like the Brooklyn of BA. Would definitely go back.

Renovated hotel in historic building
Stayed there 3 nights in a beautiful room with a balcony facing Avenida Chile. The room is on two levels, with the 'living room' on the lower level, and the bedroom up a stairway. This was no problem for us, but would be for folks with mobility issues. We mentioned the noise from an early (04:00) check-out and received an unexpected written apology. \"King-size\" bed was two twins pushed together. As is common in BA, the bathrooms are small, and the floor always got wet during a shower.

Nice but not functional for extended period
The hotel looks very appealing once you enter however rooms are not that functional. Loft bedroom and massive doors and space is a lovely touch but you leave your luggage down stairs. Bathroom toilet seems to get seriously blocked. I had read this in other reviews. The location in San Telmo is perfect with a range of restaurants and bars and clubs nearby. If that is what you are after is stay again.

Some of the best customer service we had in Argentina! The room was beautiful; our only complaint was that they don't block interior sound very well, so we heard some of our more noisy neighbors at 2pm. But nothing some ear plugs won't block. Would definitely go back again.

San Telmo Luxury Suites was very comfortable and clean, the air conditioning was a welcome change from the heat of the city. As a renovated house, it's incredibly well done with exposed wooden beams and an open courtyard in the middle. I loved the split level room, 2 bathrooms, and separate living room and desk in the superior suite but the hotel also definitely shows its age - some of the bathroom fixtures are quite old and some of the drains are a bit slow. Also when we were there, most of the bottles in the lobby \"bar\" were empty! The rooftop patio is very comfortable though and the staff is quite friendly. Breakfasts were tasty and the hotel is on a fairly quiet street. San Telmo as a neighbourhood has lots of character with some cute shops and restaurants nearby. Subway is within walking distance.
