Staff gave another guest a key to my room. I’m a solo female so it was unsettling to have a man enter my room in the evening. Staff didn’t seem to care and only moved my room (to the only room they had left) when I refused to go back upstairs. The room left was coincidentally an upgrade which they’re now using as a means to state they took care of the situation.

It was a short 2 day stay to just check out the area. We found it to be very pleasant. The hotel was running very smoothly and efficient. Breakfast was very good with a variety of offerings from fruit to eggs, pancakes, breads, meats and cereals.
The only detriment was the skimpy toilet paper which was very poor quality.

Nice pool area well kept.

Reasonably spacious rooms for 2 with balcony overlooking ocean full or partial
Included Buffet breakfast decent—fresh OJ would have been nice considering they grow here and are cheap.
Great overall value for a family for this expensive(lodging) town (Palma)

Negatives: can be loud at night as people staying up late and voices echo.
Pool area accessible only through lobby so everyone must track sand from beach if going to pool after beach -side gate from street should be opened
Poor parking options for rental cars (we heard).
Key cards are poor and require exact positioning
Difficult obtaining transport for more than 4 people and or lots of luggage esp returning to airport (problem not limited to this hotel)

Another enjoyable stay at this hotel. I like the local area, access to the beach, short walk to the nearest shopping centre, over an hour walk to the centre of Palma, convenient public transport to the city as well as the airport. Friendly and helpful staff, nice pool area with a shower and toilet. Generous continental breakfast choices, freshly cooked. Access to facilities based at the other nearby hotels from the same branch.

Reception staff were amazingly helpful. The three hotels are side by side all with sea views. Beach is seconds away. Pool was clean and a good size. Rooms were modern, bright and comfortable. Balcony was a great size. Breakfast was defo worth having. Bar and pool table useful too.

Hotel was decent at clean could've been better sweeping the floor had a lot of hair around. Hotel was good to stay at overall. Good check-in and staff was helpful.

Would stay again just for the sea-view!

Our stay at The Be Live Experience Hotel was good. Staff were helpful and courteous. The rooms were clean, we did book a larger room which also had the larger balcony and fabulous sea-view which I would highly recommend doing. There is no door to the shower/bathroom but it is around a corner so you are not totally on view. There is a sliding door to the toilet for privacy. Unfortunately, although it states the rooms have satellite TV, there is only one English speaking channel and that is SKY News. Also the room did not have a Nespresso machine as advertised on all the photo's, but we were pleased to see a kettle and were given a large bottle of water daily as well as teas and coffee sachets, maybe take your own if you are big coffee/tea drinkers as the receptionist did not want to replenish ours and said we would be charged extra when the maid had missed us out one day. The fridge in the room was a bonus. Drinks in the hotel bar are expensive and the bar area is dull and uninteresting to sit in, no atmosphere. The pool is lovely and being right next to the beach you have the best of both worlds. All in all, a fabulous location with amazing sea-views, in an area with good bars and restaurants very close by. We did not sample any food at the hotel so cannot comment. Also the VIP lounge which was advertised as part of our room price was not open for the duration of our stay.

Really nice hotel and spot on in terms of location as literally on the beach. I got upgraded but couldn’t give it 5/5 as main problem was outside noise which is not the fault of the hotel but due to unofficial parties on the beach in the middle of the night. Staff were super as was breakfast. Tricky one - if to come back for me as it wasn’t a hotel issue and just depends if you are unfortunate to have people partying outside on the nights you’re there.

The property was beautiful, lovely view, lovely area, next to the beach, pool, comfy beds, balcony, everything was lovely, the wait staff were lovely, the cleaning ladies were lovely, the food was nice, the drinks were good. All of this was very nice, however the reception staff, not all but some, were very rude. I was asking for help with a situation with my air conditioning not working, someone went but the do not disturb was on, my fault, however when I came back later it still wasn’t on so I asked for assistance. I was then talked over, the lady assisting me would stop mid conversation and help someone else and then come back. This happened frequently through this encounter and not even acknowledge that she was doing it or say be right back. I found this to be very rude. I wouldn’t come back on that alone.

Stayed at this hotel before on few occasions so didn’t hesitate to book again - this time in July. Room as expected, all working, clean and in good condition. I only have 2 issues to mention: hotel is advertised as Adults Only but that wasn’t the case - there were adults with young children at the hotel and the pool area. Also, guest “reserving” sun loungers by leaving towels early in the morning and not returning for hours. I didn’t notice these 2 things happening at this hotel before, and that made my experience at the hotel less enjoyable than during the previous visits.

We stayed for 3 days which was enough. The location of the beach and our room overlooking it was the best feature. The reception could do with more staff and the hotel could do with an update. The room was very basic and it was identified as superior which it was not. The bed was very low down, a very small single wardrobe, hate to think we were staying 2 weeks, no drawer space or bedside drawers, the safe was inside the tiny wardrobe cupboard on the floor. It was not easy to park. We expected better to be honest. The bathroom was modern with a walk-in shower, best feature of the room. Tea and coffee which was nice. We had breakfast and evening meal which was fine, no issues with the food. There were coffee cups on the table at night so my husband went to get a coffee from the machine to be told you have to pay for it. His answer was well why teacups on everyone’s table? They could not answer it. It’s just little things. Would we stay there again, no is the answer.

Where can i start ? There is so much wrong with this hotel. Room was not cleaned properly, dirty walls and doors and beds looked as if they had already been slept in, lamps skewed and some not working. Food in the restaurant was cold and of poor quality not much choice. Property not maintained and external areas not cleaned, sand in the pool for days.
When we complained we were eventually given another room which was slightly better and had a lovely view but still poor standard. Eventually given an upgrade to a superior room, only difference was it had a kettle, bathroom was smaller and shower leaked all over the floor, holes in towel, bins not emptied and half tge socjets did nit work.
We used the a la carte Masai restaurant at the sister hotel for a special occasion, food was inedible and staff downright rude. I ordered veal and was given a piece of tough steak and oven chips for 17 euros and the sea bass was just cut in half and served with 4 slices of potato at 20 euros each, certainly not what i expected and the seats in the outdoor area were dirty and covered in bird muck. How these hotels obtained a 4star rating I fail to understand, the area they are in is also awful. The best thing about there were the local bars and the beach, oh and the exit !!

The website photos promise a Sports Bar, Bakery, Burger facility all of which are shut down. Also offers Masai restaurant at extra charge. We were not allowed to pay extra to use the restaurant (we had half board) so effectively they are advertising a restaurant that is in the next hotel. No connection to our stay. So of the website photos only a couple actually applied. The staff were not friendly. Rooms were small with one small wardrobe , no other drawer space. The wardrobe had screws out of it. The only plus side of this hotel was the sea view.

It’s a good hotel overall and in a nice location next to a great beach. Property is nice bit a little worn out. What’s bad is the noise coming from corridors, the street and other balconies. You can hear every conversation outside of the room, people singing karaoke etc. Breakfast is ok for everyone, but not excellent in my opinion. Overall pleasant stay and recommended for casual travellers

Don't Go Stay at the Nixe Palace I wish we had

Defiantly not a 4* hotel just an average old refurbished 3* hotel.
There is only ever 1 person on Reception meaning long waits to check in resulting in stressed staff with poor attitudes. The exception to the rule being the guy on the pool bar he was really nice, pleasant and helpful.
They don't seem to have different standards of rooms they range from small single box rooms on the first floor to ones higher up the hotel with slightly better views but with the same bog standard appearance definitely not worth upgrading your room as the charges don't relate to what you actually get.
Our overall experience of this hotel would mean we will never recommend or return to it.

“Superior” room was bog standard

There are 3 be live hotels in this area. I felt as though we got the worst one, how it’s a 4 star like the others is beyond me. Upon arrival to the hotel the reception area smelt awful, we soon noticed it was from the public toilets next to reception. The toilets were terrible, there was a dead cockroach on the floor and it was in very poor condition. There was 5 rooms booked between us, 2 of us had paid for a superior room with sea view, one was a single room, and the other 2 were standard rooms without sea view. However, the standard non sea view rooms got the same as us with a view! We paid a lot more for ours to get exactly the same rooms, size, condiments, view, everything! Our shower head was broke so we had to wash holding it, the door to the patio was broken so it had to be fixed. The walls were paper thin so could hear next doors conversations. The sink in the bathroom wouldn’t hold the water when my partner was having a shave, it just emptied when the plug was pushed down. The bedding was covered in sand each night, so wasn’t exactly cleaned how you’d expect. When I approached the staff to say we were surprised we had the same rooms and view as the others who paid less, he wasn’t very nice, he just said that’s what they are! We were struggling with our safe and he made us feel stupid for asking for his help, that embarrassed me as we were disappointed anyway! The beach towels you pay €15 for had holes in and the lifts were very hot, small and dated.

Costa Palma hotel- really swful hotel. Booked as a party of 9. Hotel in desperate desperate need of an update. Air con hanging off the ceiling, ants in the bathroom, breakfast selection poor, pool towels had holes in them, balcony doors wouldn’t lock, room doors wouldn’t open- had to charge in reception! Managers attitude when complained to very unprofessional. If you care about your holidaying experience then honestly please take onboard this review and don’t stay here.

The photos were of another hotel (same brand) that was across the street. Im sure they were the same on the inside. The pictures look great but once you get there,
Everything was musty, the quality was not good.
The elevator is weird ....There is a regularly door that opens the elevator.... You never know when you arrive lol.
It doesn't look like anyone really cleans thoroughly.
We had a big dead bug smashed in our bathroom wall. The space is very very small.
The bed/mattress was not good quality. We had 3 night stay and left after day 1 and of course did not get a refund.
I will say, we normally stay at Marriotts. If you just want a place to lay your head, I guess this could be an option. But isn't this a little too pricey to just lay your head? I would say this is a couple of steps better than a motel. I would say Motel quality but a better look. Does that make sense? sorry for the ramble

Overall a nice and clean hotel. The restaurant area was quite dated, but the food was okay. The main issue was that the walls were non-existed as on our first night at 11 pm we were visited by a security guard telling us off for being too loud and disturbed our neighbours. Please bear in mind we were just talking, no screaming, no laughing, no parties. Just a regular chat which turns out is too loud for neighbouring rooms. So if you plan to go to bed past 10 pm avoid the hotel.

Really lovely hotel, the cleaning could be a little better in terms of sand in beds & on the floor. The breakfast was nice & staff super attentive. The pool was nice, it does only get the sun in the early day though. So in the late afternoon you have to go to the beach. Location is good, really nice beach & it is about a 15 min bus ride into central Palma.

Very nice hotel in great location

Very well-equipped hotel, staff very friendly, nice pool area and sea views, good bar and lounge areas. We had a welcoming bottle of sparkling wine. Room was big enough, and large beds (although we couldn't say they were the best). Breakfast was very nice with a large selection of hot and cold buffet items (and a selection of various types of milk). Location is excellent for this area, and is around an hour's walk to Palma city on the coast road past the marina, etc. Really good, overall, would return.

Fantastic hotel and staff. Made our holiday.

Beautiful hotel so close to the beach and staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Lovely touches like a bottle of complimentary cava and big bottle of water in the room on arrival.

Couldn't fault this hotel and would stay here again in a flash! Definitely would recommend this hotel again.

I consider this hotel one of the best we've stay at on europe ! The hotel as 3 buildings all overlooking the beach. The staff are fabulous, so friendly and helpful. Choice of food excellent, something for everyone. Rooms lovely and clean, including good quality of toiletries. Clean towels on request, although need to be replaced! The entertainment was first class every night. Good prices for the drinks. Definitely Planning a return next year

We were greeted with a glass of cava at check in and a complimentary bottle of cava awaited us in our room. We also had a beautiful beachfront view from our hotel room balcony. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Cons:
Rooms are equipped with two beds placed next to each other to make one king size bed, except the beds don't stay together. This is great if you come with a friend, not so good if you come with a significant other.
Also, the spa amenities are good but very small. An appointment needs to be made in order to use the sauna, etc. You are not provided slippers or a robe while at the spa either.

This is never a 4 star hotel.

The restaurant and reception areas are reasonable and the bedrooms are reasonable. However, we booked 2 rooms. Both rooms the air conditioning didn't work. Both bathrooms were horrible. Angle iron attaching the sink to the wall, both baths were old, been hand painted in an attempt to freshen them up, and both baths looked like they had been mastic sealed by a blind man. Much of the mastic was black and peeling away.
None of the room pictures advertised were present in our hotel. The general area consists of 3 hotels owned by BeLive, one of which is far superior. It is my opinion that the 2 other or certainly the hotel we stayed in was not a 4 star hotel and was simply riding the coat tails of the superior one. Certainly worth an email to trading standards.

A very pleasant and spacious room, with a lovely view from the balcony. Good service at reception. Some of the fixtures and fittings were a bit loose.

Staff very helpful, few little surprises in our room e.g bottle of champagne and a pudding delivered. Not a lot around it. very close to beach. Easy to get the bus to Palma from the top of the road (no3), room clean. Bathroom very dated, pool area nice enough. Fine for a short break.

Not the same as the pictures

- Hotel room was awful with a dirty broken bathroom
- There is another be live hotel in the same proximity which is much nicer and the photos are of this hotel
- Hotel staff were rude and unhelpful

Great food, friendly staff, excellent value

Stayed here for 3 nights recently and was really surprised at how good it was considering I paid £140 and that included breakfast and dinner (eat as much as you like).

The food was the best surprise, it was a fully loaded buffet with certain foods cooked to order. The staff were very friendly too.

One of the great benefits is the use of the sisters hotels that are literally a stones throw away

Winter wardrobe shopping weekend

Lovely hotel in a great location with really helpful staff. Breakfast was really good, lots of choice and all fresh. Cala Major is 10 minutes from Palma and Palma Nova by taxi which makes it a perfect location for a winter wardrobe shopping weekend!

good for relaxing

our stay was overall good, the hotel is really close to a bus stop (well connected with Palma), the beach is beautiful, the food was good with a nice variety.

The only disappointment was that some of the photos on the website belong to two other hotels in the chain. We could use the facilities of course, but some things were in other buildings.

Your hotel description was wrong, the hotel was not on the beach, you couldn't even see the beach from the public areas.
Photos showed restaurant right on the beach, but the photos were of another sister restaurant, not the hotels, were we had booked half board.
Very disappointed.

Good Hotel, Ideal Location for Beach

The beach is great and made our holiday so for this the hotel, location is great. The down side is you have to pay for sun beds. The pool side has few sun beds which are taken very early by people leaving their towels on the beds... We never once managed to get one. Air con is very poor, but the room is clean and modern with nice balconies. No tea making service which was a disappointment. this hotel ticked the boxes for what we wanted - a short break near the sea, averagely priced with everything we needed.

Comfortable and close to beach.

From the airport it's a 15 mins bus ride (Bus Number 1) to the port. Then change to get a number 3... Total cost €3.5 :-)
Nice quiet resort, clean beach, clean hotel.
Breakfast was nice, assorted food but dinner was limited but couldnt complain as only paid £8 on top of B,& B for 2 nights.
This hotel has a nice small pool with a life guard. Its clean and well maintained.
Lots of elderly German guests, who, traditionally lash their towels on sunbeds and sneek off to beakfast. Its against hotel rules, but just beat them to it.
Pool drinks are not unreasonable but there are little shops right outside who sell chilled berrs n soft drinks etc 1/2 the price.
The beach is visable from most rooms so yes, its very close.
Beach towel hire is €15 deposit and they change the them as often as needed.
Im very fussy about clean and would book again. I would reccomend the hotel and area for a quiet escape, PS make sure you visit Palma port for a few hours as it has great boutique shopping.

Quiet location, near beach, not many cafe/bars

Booked a twin bedded room and paid for single occupancy. Booked with 5 friends as a special trip. Disappointed to be given a single room on arrival and split up from rest of party. Hotel was full so could not be given the room that i wanted and had paid for. Also air con didn't work the first night. Overall, Spent a lot of time trying to resolve issues and considering our stay was only 3 nights, this spoilt the short time the 6 of us had together. Our itinerary was tight and on the first day we were delayed leaving the hotel for our first trip.
