The only real fault was its location. The only reception was reached either by a walk of about 500 metres up very steep hills or up a few hundred steps. The funicular to harbour level was out of order for days on end. A very reasonable hotel but not really suitable for elderly people or those with mobility problems

We arrived late after midnight on our first night. There was nowhere to pull up with our car and parking was full. We had to put our hazards on and quickly unload and then drive around the streets to find parking. Once we checked in and got to our room, we noticed were only given two shower towels despite it being a triple room with three occupants. We then had to go to reception to request a towel at 1am. Once we got into our room and settled in more we noticed how dirty it was. We saw the shower curtain covered in mold, an incredibly dusty bathroom vent fan (hazard), and to top it off a hot pink fake nail by the bedside table. In the morning we went to reception to advise them on the state of the room, and the girl informed us she could not do anything but to return later on once her manager was in and see if we could change rooms. Later on we met the manager and they were not very helpful just said we were full and nothing could be done. They could have offered to change the curtain and do a better clean or to compensate us in some other way but nothing was offered unfortunately.

The gentleman who checked us in was very friendly and helpful and another gentleman we spoke to while checking out was helpful too, as well as the restaurant staff. We loved our stay in Palma but unfortunately the hotel was a let down and for the price we paid it was upsetting. Hopefully this can be taken as constructive criticism to improve in the future for other guests. Thank you!

Lovely staff, unfortunately booking slow to appear from expedia so delayed check in. Room was set up for three although I only booked for one - so a bit weird having sheets on the couch but I guess my late booking was likely a factor. Desk space very small for working and the sound proofing was poor - so very noisy with drain from five levels above all running down through the room very audibly. Sheets or pillow smelt a little damp. Lovely view from the terrace of the marina over to the cathedral but quality of the room probably means I wouldn't stay again.

The Catalonia Majorica Hotel staff was excellent, attentive, professional, and friendly. The hotel was very clean. The breakfast was delicious with varies choices. The bay view of our room was breathtaking. I truly would like to name everyone who made our stay welcoming, but they were so many great staff members in all the departments. The room was very big which was nice as we had 2 adults and 2 children in it.
Everything was clean.
The children enjoyed the two swimming pools (outside and inside). The inside pool had a very strong smell of disinfectant/chlorine though.
The terrace had a wonderful view over the harbour with the cruise liners and across to the cathedral.
The tea and coffee making facilities in the room were limited especially as they only gave us one sachet of coffee plus one sachet of decaf a day. When we asked for more we were told that the next supply of the same would be on the next day.
Apart from this the breakfast was delicious with a very good choice of hot and cold food.

The property is in a good location. Rooms clean with a nice-sized deck to sit on to relax. Unfortunately, people smoke on them so if you don't like that you have to close your patio door all the time. It seems like Spain is one of the last places to allow smoking everywhere. Pool towels are 10 Euro deposit and are not out by the pool, but rather at the front desk.. found that odd. Amazing Italian restaurant right near hotel. Satrigo. it is a MUST!

Lovely welcome from Cassandra on arrival. All the other staff were lovely and friendly too.
Great location- we walked to Palma and to Cala major. Shame about the renovations all along the marina as it would’ve been a nice (slightly long) walk otherwise.
Lovely pool area, it was empty all morning on our first day!
Drinks were reasonable in hotel and terrace has a lovely view.
Nothing to complain about with room. No kettle so don’t bother with tea bags!

Worst 4 start hotel

The worst experience I had in a 4 start hotel. When I checked- in, a guy Tony helped me in the front desk. He gave me a room that I didn’t reserve. The room was outdated with a king bed and another double bed. There was no coffee maker but we had two cups in a room, not sure for what. At 11pm, I heard a lot of running water behind the walls, next to my bed. I wasn’t sure if there was a plumbing problem. You could hear people using the bathroom above us and farting. Not even in the US you can hear this type of noise, considering that the drywall is so think compared to how buildings are constructed in Europe. The beds were okay. This is definitely not a 4 start hotel, maybe 3 even though it meets the standards of a 2 start hotel. It does have a nice view if the bay from the pool deck but does about it.
Jaime was very nice to change my room to another newer room at midnight.

Hotel was great, service was awesome; however, the first room we stayed in had a bathtub so we needed to change (which they helped us and did it without issues; thank you!)
The second room was although a tad smaller, newer and more modern but the AC wasn't working. It didn't matter because of the weather in Majorica that time of year but hope they fix it by Summer.

Overall, we would definitely recommend and stay here again.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The location was exactly what I needed to enjoy the port area, but also be within short walking distance of an early morning ferry the next day. The hotel, the location, the view, the staff, the breakfasts, the cleanliness, were all excellent. The only criticism we have, is that smoking is allowed on the balcony of each room on the no smoking floor - ashtrays provided. As neighbours of a smoker, we could neither use our balcony and needed to close the balcony door to escape unwanted smoke. BUT we will return.

The hotel itself is lovely, nice view and nice staff! The evening lady (blonde and with glasses) was super friendly and helpful, she even recall the guys on the 5th floor who had loud music. Instead the guys who was in the morning was strange, we felt like he didn’t care.

Pros: the staff were on the whole amazing - special thanks to Adriana, Rachel, Pauline & Elena who went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and again, staff super helpful.

Cons: the hotel is quite dated to be honest and certainly no frills. It is overpriced for what it is and you can certainly get better value elsewhere. One member of staff - Mark/Marc - at the bar was unfriendly, unhelpful and borderline rude. He couldn’t certainly benefit from re-training on guest relations and how to treat customers. The pool was nice but does not get the sun past 4pm which is something guests should be aware of.

It's a good clean hotel with a really great view over the bay and port, nice rooftop pool and bar. There are only a few bars or restaurants nearby within easy walking.

There is a \"funicular\" lift to take you up, but it is extremely hard to find: it is inside the door by the leftmost tall column at 39.556444 N 2.623033 E on Avinguda Joan Miro and takes you right up to the rooftop bar. Be aware the streets are very hilly here. From the hotel to Porto Pi ferry terminal is about 5 minute walk downhill. Perhaps 25 minutes uphill in heat with luggage.

The air conditioning was easy to regulate and the wifi worked perfectly with the code they give you at check-in. The television had bad reception for even basic channels, and the safe didn't work. There was no card to say if there's room service or the minibar prices. Check-in acted as if the guests were a burden but check-out was faultless.

There was no information about what was available in the Hotel. No information about services available of any tourist information. Food in the restaurant was very basic and not very inviting. Breakfast was very good. Everything was very clean. Could not have tea or coffee in the hotel rooms. First night our hotel room was not available and we were put in another hotel.

Loved the hotel on the whole. Staff nice and friendly. Amazing view from the pool area over the harbour. Plenty of sun beds beside the pool with umbrellas. The only downside was that there was so little storage space in the bedrooms. We stayed for 6 days and my husband had to keep his suitcase with his underwear in it on the small table as there wasn’t anywhere else for him to put his bits and pieces.

The staff was lovely and helpful. I’m not accustomed to the style of housekeeping that’s done at European hotels. I had a cut and bled a bit on the sheet. They just made the bed with that same sheet for 4 nights. When I checked in, the bathtub had soap and hair on the edge. Even after they cleaning the next day it remained there although I had already pointed it out to the staff. The fitness room was abysmal. I would try another hotel if I visit Mallorca again.

the hotel is too far from a beach. you have to take a taxi or a bus. rooms are NOT 4 starts by any means. i am surprised they are marked with 4 starts. elevators are tiny. if you want to stay there, make it one night. There is no vacation like feeling there at all. very dissapointed. Hotels.com needs to be more accurate with their descriptions and pictures.

**Check-in /Reception desk...
We did not receive the warm reception I would expected. Although later during our stay there others working the desk and were nicer.
**The room...
When we got to the room it was clean but there were ants inside of the patio door and in a line on the actual patio.
It was quiet for a good nights sleep.
**House keeping...let me just state facts...
our bed was made daily but sheets not actually changed. Two towels were NOT replaced at the same amount that was initially given. We had to call to get more towels and even toilet paper after housekeeping had already been in the room. There were comments made in Spanish when My husband and I were leaving our room, that I guess they thought I did not understand but I did....
**Some highlights...
Panoramic deck is pretty nice.
Breakfast was on point daily as well as the view.
Swimming pool and sun chairs served us well for relaxation.
Service and food for the panoramic deck was good.
I did address housekeeping’s comments and other rude staff with Poly at the front desk. She checked us out and asked how did we enjoy our stay. I let her know and she helped. Her genuine concern made me feel better and I thank her for that. This hotel was recommended but we will not be staying here again.

We do like Catalonia group properties
That said... A four star hotel which needs a 75eu upgrade to get a kettle and tea in the room.!!! I mean that's so not right. My lovely wife needs a cup of tea before she opens her eyes. That was disappointing.
And a funny thing, the indoor pool says showering in compulsory, yet there is no shower in the pool area! Must I travel five floors soaking wet up and down, or maybe they should install one poolside.
I appreciate it's off season and we still were looked after well, but no tea., is no 4****!!

A nice hotel with staff who couldn’t have been more helpful and kind. The room as spacious and had a super view across the bay. Facilities are good; an indoor and outdoor pool, jacuzzi and (very small) gym. Food was good quality. The hotel is about a 40 minute walk from the centre of Palma and while we didn’t mind the walk, it is certainly worth considering (public transport is good).

If you are here without a car, it is a long walk into town and although there are buses close by this soon gets expensive. The hotel is difficult to find from the airport bus. The outdoor pool is in shade a lot which means that it is often too cool to use and although there's an indoor pool it is very small. The food is expensive although very good. Our room was noisy (air conditioning very loud) and small but clean. Overall, if I came again I would look for a different hotel. PS it was the Palma marathon this week which meant it was really busy.

Fantastic view from a lot of the rooms, and from the terraces. It's a fair walk into the centre of town, but that just gave us an excuse to eat more! The room we had was relatively small, but they did offer us another one which we appreciated.

Old Hotel not well maintained. Expected much more for the money we paid. Room was small and dirty. The floor tiles and tub tiles were cracked and broken, the closet door was off its track, the ceiling fan made a horrible loud noise and the tub was dirty. Walls had water damage and were dirty. When we brought this to the attention of the Front Desk they basically didn’t care. Our room was in the basement of the Hotel and the “Ocean View” from the tiny, dark “Balcony” and room was so very disappointing. The Hotel is far from City Center and very inconvenient if you don’t have a car. The breakfast buffet was good and worth the price. We do not recommend this Hotel to anyone.

Not a 4 star, but ok.

We stayed hotel only so cannot comment on the breakfast. However they did offer it to us for €10pp per day at check in which is a lot cheaper than we saw online.
The hotel itself was ok. The reason for my overall rating is to do with a few things.
Firstly, on check in we were given no information about where anything in the hotel was such as the gym and the indoor pool or how to get pool towels, opening times of pool and restaurant etc., just the attempted upsell of breakfast.
Positively, they let us keep our bags in a locked room until check in time.
Our room was a good size and clean with a good sized balcony and a nice view. 2 days in to our stay our bathroom ceiling started to leak so we told reception and they moved us to a different room. Although this was a satisfactory solution they didn’t seem bothered about the upheaval of having to pack up all our things and move them to a different floor. The new room was not as nice as our first room, but it was still ok.
Food from the restaurant on the terrace was nice, but when they are busy at the bar and for food the service was very slow.
All in all the hotel staff were helpful when asked where things were locally and about local transport. I would definitely say this is not a 4 star hotel though. A 3 star may be.
