Our hotel stands just 100 metres from the beach, very close to the Portals Nous marina in Mallorca. Discover two unique experiences in a single complex: the Cala Zone and the Only Adults Costa Zone, and you can move freely between the two.

This is our 10th time of staying here and we love it. We always stay in a gold level room. This year we came back for our wedding anniversary after the hotel housing all of our wedding guests last year. We will continue to come back to the Tacande as often as we can.
We love seeing Javier every year. He is the best Barman and it’s so nice to see a familiar face.
My one point to note would be it would be nice to have a full length mirror in the gold level rooms.

Supermarket, convenience stores and shops. I’ve stayed here in 2022 and 2024; the hotel needs its own shop selling water, soft drinks, snacks and toiletries. It’s so far to walk to the portals nous town centre. The breakfast is superb. The staff warm and welcoming. It’s a relaxed pseudo spa hotel but I’ve never heard anyone who had had a massage. It needs a gym and I think a jacuzzi spa whirlpool for guests would be good ( the “gold” level has this which is a higher price point. The hotel pool and decking with copious trees and plants reminds me of New Zealand. This area and hotel is NOT a party spot so if your idea of a holiday is to get wasted in the company of English football fans and stagger back at 2am waking up the other guests, then this is not for you. You’d prefer Magaluf.

The whole hotel smells amazing (I would buy the scent if it was available), check in was very quick and easy, staff helped with our cases and took us to the room - we were in our room probably 15 minutes after arriving.

We took the half board package with a buffet breakfast which was always good. The dinners were smaller (a lot less people taking that option) so the buffet was much smaller, but with a chef options to order and a few other side options - a great idea as there would be much less food waste that way.
All hotel staff we met were brilliant - friendly, efficient, helpful - they are all 10/10.

The rooms are pretty old and for the money we paid definitely in bad condition. The cleaning was terrible, didn’t get clean towels. The bathroom was disgusting.

The hotel says it has double beds but it doesn't. They have twin beds put next to each other. The night manager was great but couldn't help. The day manager didn't speak with us or try to resolve the issue instead a very unhelpful receptionist told me I would have to pay more if I wanted a double bed. The hotel also claims to have parking but it doesn't. If you want to park your car you have to use street parking and if it's full you have to drive around looking for parking. During the day all you can hear is the construction site opposite. The spa is disappointing, steam and sauna turned off and no one in attendance.

Wonderful peaceful hotel. Small lagoon beach a 3 minute walk away. Palma Nova beach area a 25 min bus ride or 11 min taxi. The room was decently sized and had comfortable beds. Breakfast had enough variety of options. The ac in the room was weak but after awhile it worked. Staff was very kind. Would recommend for a peaceful get away. The pools were never over crowded and you didn't have to fight for deck chairs.

Everything was good. But I could hear other guests through the wall. There is a building site opposite. And the area outside the hotel entrance needs some love. The beach and bay is five min walk. The nearest supermarket is a 15 minute walk up a steep hill. Breakfast was lovely. Pool area great. Staff super lovely.

My room was beautiful - I wanted some peace and quiet so having the large terrace and hot tub was perfect. It looks out over the pools but was far enough away to be private. The breakfast and dinner options were lovely - the bar staff were brilliant and attentive. The hotel is in a quiet area - the local town area is lovely but up a steep hill. The little cove beach area was beautiful.
I wouldn’t want a room looking over the road (lots of building work going on, although none of it is loud or intrusive). It’s a really quiet place, no loud music round the pools, it’s perfect for a chilled break in the sun. I would definitely go back to stay in the main suite - it was just what I wanted.

Anka was amazing, so lovely and helpful! The location is a short walk from the local beach and also close to a strip of restaurants nearby. Definitely recommend hiring a car in Mallorca to see everything, there can be a bit of a wait for taxis. The hotel has a great free breakfast and beautiful pool!

The is a lovely little hotel - but - make sure you select the right room! I was given a tiny single room which you couldn’t swing a cat in. The bathroom was more a cupboard, and the sink facilities were at the end of your bed! Very claustrophobic. I paid to upgrade to a bigger room. Also, if money allows, don’t bother with half board. The selection at dinner isn’t great. Eat out.
The pool areas were spotlessly clean. Snack bar was great, and breakfast was lovely. So much choice.
At the bottom of the road is a lovely little cove with a clean beach and clear warm water for October. There’s a little beach bar as well for those that are thirsty!

Tacande was a perfect hotel and location for our trip. 2 minutes walk from the sea and a great swimming area. 3 pools at the hotel with plenty of space around each of them. Good service at the pool cafe and the breakfasts were great. Would definitely recommend staying here.

We were very disappointed to find there was a daily charge for the pool towels. Also apparently our room wasn’t entitled to any shampoo, conditioner or body lotion despite their website stating bathroom toiletries. There was a toothbrush, shower cap and soap but I’d rather have had shampoo etc. When I called reception the gentleman’s response was there isn’t a manager and I only work here. Not what you expect for a 4* hotel.

Location is excellent, small beach is a small walk away, literally 3 mins. The Pool area is loveley except I really didn't appreciate the music playing out of the speakers, it wasn't even house music, it was simply annoying and forced upon you. It definitely was too loud to be background music. The staff are great, very helpful and friendly and the other beach is 10 minutes walk away which is beautiful and right next to the swanky marina. Great place and the hotel is pretty good for the money.

Loved it 😁 Such a clean hotel. Great location. The pool area is brilliant but we spent most of our time at the amazing little beach at the end of the road. One thing about the pool area, and I think people will see this as good and bad, there are quite a lot of trees and surrounding buildings and this means there is often shaded areas. Breakfast is lovely, really nice 😋 but if I was to be extra critical it would be good if it could be extended to 11:30. It may just be that we’re a lazy couple but we ended up missing breakfast several days. Overall a super hotel and we’d love to visit again.

Nice Boutique Hotel - good location
Second time staying at RD Mar but this time instead of with family just with 3 golfing friends. Nice facilities and good breakfasts. Evening dinner is now A La Carte only whereas last year they did buffets but did not eat in. The rooms we booked were for single occupancy which was a bit tight to be honest with on suite shower and loo together with the sink out side bathroom which is a bit odd. Room is nicely decorated and comfortable. Not a lot of storage space if staying longer than a few nights. Pools are nice but not very large. Its also quiet as its adults only. Lovely cover beach with bar and beds to rent at the end of the road and 5 mins in taxi to Puerto Portals costs 6 Euro. Staff were very pleasant but were short staffed at reception the mornings we stayed with many waiting to check out and check in. If golfing would recommend playing at Son Muntaner.

Nuria at the front desk is a treat and perhaps the hotel's biggest asset. Beds are very hard (and I even tend to prefer hard beds) and the walls are paper thin, so if you enjoy eavesdropping on people having sex or fighting, you are bound to love this hotel.

What a great chilled resort snd superb hotel. Adults only is the only wsy to go now. Top quality hotel, great location to the beach and not too far to go for food in town. A bit hilly but well worth staying there. Hotel bus to Palma @€5 was great.

Great hotel with pretty friendly staff. The location does mean that a taxi is required to get to most places and they can be hard to get. Generally the hotel was quiet, facilities are generous and overall I had a very pleasant trip. Would return.

We stayed at this hotel for a week in June. The hotel had recently undergone a renovation. The rooms are bright, very modern and kept very clean. The rooms have a safe, minibar and tea and coffee making facilities. However there is nowhere to keep your clothes! There is a small hanging area above the minibar but there are no drawers in the room at all. This is ok if you're staying for a couple of days but over that you're living out of a suitcase!
We only stayed bed and breakfast and the breakfasts were very good. Plenty to choose from and good quality.
The pool areas were very good with lovely sun beds and huge umbrellas. The pool bar/cafe was excellent with great service from the bar staff.
The hotel is a couple of minutes walk to a lovely sandy cove that has a small beach bar. To walk into the Main Street where there are restaurants and bars is about a 25 minute walk up a steep road. We found the taxis to be very reasonable and used them to take us into Palma Nova.
We only stayed bed and breakfast and the breakfasts were very good. Plenty to choose from and good quality.

My husband and I already knew and loved the area but did some research on hotels and decided on this one due it's location, price, standard and reviews. We weren't disappointed on any account. The hotel has nice modern decor, friendly staff and a great breakfast. It's a 8 minute walk (uphill to Portal Nous), a 2 minute walk to the beach and about 15 minutes to the marina. For the standard of accommodation I believe it's great value and would definitely return.

the only negatives i can say about our whole stay was that the rooms themselves have very little storage - no shelves or drawers to put your stuff in - which as a group of three girls in one room proved a bit problematic and they could do with trimming the dead palm leaves off the trees as we were constantly hit with them falling all the time which made us jump every time!
They could also do with putting some more sunbeds around the pools as they were in very short supply - i know they dont want it overcrowded but could easily put more without this happening

Very nice decor, clean room, friendly staff. You can tell that they only recently opened as a few things don't seem to have been worked out yet. This is not by any means a bad review on the hotel, though. I would definitely go back.
Eg. there is no real food and drink service at the pool. they have call buttons on each table which doesn't seem to work and if they did, they wouldn't have enough staff to serve everyone. If they had menus on each table by the pools and proper service, people would spend a lot more money.

This is a beautiful hotel which I would have given 5 stars if it hadn't been for a few annoyances. We stayed in triple room for 4 nights.

The beds were really comfy and the rooms modern and spotless. The pool area was beautiful and we loved the peace and quiet as adults only. The surrounding area is gorgeous and the hotel is well situated for the village although it is up a massive hill.
The not so good things- mostly issues with the room. The rooms have very little storage. There are about 10 hangers over the fridge which means you can't hang up anything long and there were no drawers or shelves that could be used to store underwear or anything else that wasn't hung up. We lived out of our suitcases for the 4 nights we were there and it was not ideal but it would have been really unsuitable for a stay longer than that. The room we had (1102) had no sink in the bathroom- it was in the bedroom instead. In one way this was great because you could use the sink while someone else was in the shower but I think from an infection control point of view you should really be able to wash your hands after going to the bathroom without leaving the room. The \"exclusive\" area at the pool was a total waste of space as it was empty for most of our stay. Despite the negatives we would stay here again.

Modern hotel in quiet location, close to sea
The hotel had opened only recently after major refurbishment. The rooms and facilities were excellent and the restaurant staff especially pleasant and well-trained. Some of the new building work was not quite finished (e.g. sauna), but this did not spoil our experience.

Middle of nowhere, far from everything
It wasn't my cup of tea. Being in the middle of nowhere in the tiniest room in the world having the least comfort in it didn't make me happy. Everything is plain white makes you feel you are in a clinic.
It has a strange connection with a neglected villa.
The food was nicely decorated but nothing outstanding about it! The decoration didn't go well with spoiled fruits in the basket.

I've been coming to Mallorca for years and usually rent an apartment with my family but as it was just me I stayed in a hotel. I did quite a lot of reviewing, and I was very impressed with this recently refurbished hotel. Very cost effective, clean, great quality, nice balcony, bed was very comfortable, breakfast was fantastic (it was the only meal I had there as I ate out for lunch and dinner). Staff were helpful, my taxi was ready for me when I was leaving for the airport, beautiful views over Portals beach. Will definitely stay again when I travel to Mallorca on my own.

Hôtel récent, moderne, toutes les chambres ont une vue partielle sur la mer. Le personnel est agréable. A 30 secondes à pied d’une petite plage, calme. La qualité du petit déjeuner n’est pas bonne. Pas de chambres et espaces non fumeurs, impossible de profiter de la terrasse ni même d’ouvrir la fenêtre sans que ça sente mauvais. A la piscine, le personnel ne dit rien aux fumeurs alors qu’il y a bien la pancarte interdisant de fumer. Le linge de bain est un peu vieux et manque au moins une serviette par personne pour être confortable. Besoin d’une voiture car beaucoup de collines.
