Initially the room we had was right next to the elevator and made a dreadful noise. We asked and we're moved to a better room. Staff were mostly friendly. Facilities good, if a little dated and in need of a touch up and few repairs, Inc the on site Spa. Disappointed we couldn't get a time for a massage.

Room was extremely tired. Our path to the pool area was nothing short of treacherous. Broken paving and steps covered in moss/lichen. The pool itself looks like a pond. The floor of the pool is made from resin (the driveway kind) which is crumbling in places. This leaves extremely sharp edges and glass like shards in the pool. We will definitely not be staying at this hotel again.

The hotel rooms did not have a mirror in each room. It was hard to get ready when there were four people in the room. No facial tissues in bathroom. The shower/bath tub has a half glass covering so the floor gets wet when you shower. We slipped a few times. AC would also turn off automatically and it did that a few times. We also put a do not disturb sign but the maids still came in and cleaned the room. The staff was okay. A few of them were friendly and the others not so much.

Great photography gives the impression of a more modern hotel, which this really isn’t. We paid for a junior suite, thinking that would feel like an ‘upgrade’ however, it was a two bed room, not a suite. The second bed was a fold out and was made up, along with a cot, despite the property knowing we were travelling as a couple. The advertised terrace was a balcony, and the same for all rooms. The bed was terrible. I think it was plastic but I didn’t look under the covers. It was sweaty though and uncomfortable. Only one pillow, like a sausage, added to the discomfort. Breakfast was very basic. Even two tea bags didn’t make a proper cuppa. A member of staff witnessed a juice spillage, but it was still there when we left. Finally, you're not trusted with the old, tatty beach/pool towels, so you need to exchange them daily for a token. However, the pool guy didn’t appear until after 10 so you were left without a towel. On a positive note, it’s a very convenient location for the marina, which is absolutely beautiful with great restaurants and bars.

Our room was not made up and we had to make the spare bed up after a late arrival (2am)

No shower gel and despite letting reception know this was still not refilled

No info on the hotel therefore we didn’t know the spa had to be precooked - also no info on the indoor pool which was a huge let down as we would have loved to use it

Very clean hotel and great choice of breakfast but the sunbed situation was not managed properly … people allowed to put towels down at 7am and then not come back until the afternoon … I asked reception what time we could use the pool and was told from 9am … this caused a lot of complaints but no one was managing the pool area at any stage during my stay … I would not return to this hotel for this reason alone

A very pleasant stay. Buffet breakfast very good and plenty of good restaurants across the road for the evening (Steakhouse, Indian, Pizza, Fish & Chips ++).
Lobby bar well stocked and live music outside in the evenings.

location was great, close to the city of Palma but not too noisy or traffic.
our room was spacious, with a lovely balcony, but The hotel furniture and decor were dated and needed a good update. the swimming pool area and outside were looking good, and breakfast was amazing.
Parking of 8 euro a night was great, the Pizza place right on the other side of the street was the best.

Elements of our holiday were disappointing. We were out for our daughters 21st birthday with our 20 year old son. Our family room booking was not really a family room as it was made up by using the lounge sofa into a sofa bed, despite our request for a double and 2 singles (as advertised). The Swimming pool, reception, dining/breakfast hall and SPA areas were nice (and as you'd expect from a 4 star hotel). The room however was disappointing in terms of size, air con not great (too cold despite placing on lowest settings), tea/coffee facilities not replenished, being requested to pay for ice when required and a small infestation of ants near the fridge. The general decor is also a little dated with woodchip style painted walls.

The beach near the hotel is relatively small with little shaded areas, so you will need to be really early or need a parasol if you need some shade.

Although there are some restaurants around the hotel, there is limited choice and are overpriced. There is much, much more variety, buzz, shops and a better beach about 4km down the road in Palma Nova. We went there for dining every evening by taxi and it still was more cost effective and you were able to have lovey walks along the promenade which isn't available in Portals Nous.

Had a three night stay with my daughter. Whilst the communal areas are quite dated in decor and furnishings, the hotel is immaculate and very clean. The bedrooms are more modern if a little small. Good hot shower. Very friendly and professional reception staff. Pool area and gardens clean and tidy.

We had a pleasant stay and we’re happy there was so much to do for children but also the spa for adults. We have used the indoor swimming pool a lot and it was wonderfully heated! The staff was always kind and welcoming both at reception and dining room where we had good meals. There are details that show the place is oldish and could do with renovation but all in all it was a great experience

We have stayed in this hotel maybe 6 or 7 times in the past, always as a couple but this time we were joined by family.

We find the hotel to be clean, comfortable and welcoming and the rooms & bathrooms a good size.

It's always a bit tricky when recommending a favourite place to family members, 'what if they don't like it!' scenario - we shouldn't have worried, they loved it - even the teenagers.

The hotel is well placed for walking to local restaurants in the evening or the port, and it's cheap and easy to get a taxi if you need to.

We'll be back next February if not before

Really nice hotel, with amazing breakfast. Sadly I didn’t have a chance to enjoy the spa. The views from the balcony were nice and room was very clean.
I only have three small complaints.
1. No iron or ironing board in room, the gentleman said I have to go to 5th floor to iron.
2. No wine opener, only bottle opener in rooms. I asked for a wine opener and the gentleman at the front desk said he had one but I had to go back downstairs to pick it up.
3. The bar inside the hotel closes at 12am, there’s also no vending machines. So if you get back late and your hungry or want a drink, you’re out of luck. They had nothing to offer after 12am, and all outside stores were also closed.

Hotel ok, the spa was a great benefit but the steam room smelt mouldy. One of the spa showers didn’t work. Bed uncomfortable and pillows not good. No sound proof between floors so could hear everything the family above did. Lots of noise and chairs scraping on floor.

Love this hotel, stayed several times with my family. Love the location and the standard of the accommodation (great family suites, much better than comparable hotels). However on this occasion we found the food not as good as previous stays at both the breakfast buffet and the snack bar... maybe because it’s slightly out of season. We’d also love to see the mini golf renovated!

The staff were lovely especially Diana on reception who could do enough for the guests. We were allocated a family room for 2 female friends which worked perfectly as we had a bedroom each. Giving towels to the guests is great as it saves room & weight in our cases. One thing which was slightly annoying was that some people were allowed to have 2 towels each but when we asked we were told we could only have one!

The only ither negative was that there was not much in the town of Portals Nous but that’s not the fault of the hotel, of course. We would have liked a couple more bars to go to in the evening.

Staff friendly, efficient. Facilities adequate but dated. We booked a deluxe room - we got room 624. The room was extremely small - we could barely walk around the bed which was also a very small and extremely uncomfortable bed. No drawers, tiny wardrobe which even a mams shirt could not hang without being folded up at the bottom never mind a dress. Booking promised bathrobes and slippers - no bathrobes appeared. Other rooms on our floor were twice the size with bigger beds. You could feel the springs in the mattress when lying in the bed. Not even a mattress topper. Not a deluxe room. Would not stay here again.

Couples stay at Marina Portals

Stayed at this hotel as a couple for a week in August and overall had a very good experience. The hotel staff were very friendly, the place was clean, the location was amazing given how close it is to the Marina and all of the nice restaurants.

Breakfast had a very good selection every morning, the only slight criticism would be that if you’re not there before 10.30am then you will need to eat elsewhere as the staff literally clean everything away and switch off the coffee / juice machines bang on the dot.

The poolside area was good, with the option of premium 4 poster beds for only 20 EUR, as a couple we found these ideal for a bit of privacy given the hotel is very family orientated. The swimming pool is large and there’s a smaller pool next to it with sunloungers in the water which is nice if you want to relax.

The room was clean with a balcony overlooking the pool however my only slight criticism would be the bed could have been more comfortable and the room slightly more spacious. We requested extra pillows which the staff provided which did help.

If you are looking to stay in Puerto Portals I would recommend this hotel, the location is excellent and the hotel is clean and the staff are very friendly.

Stayed last year at the Salles Marina hotel was a bit disappointed this time room needed refresh of paint in places.
Management need to address holiday makers leaving their towels etc
on sunbeds and going to breakfast or on trips!
at 9am one morning there were 30 sunbeds with towels on, other hotels have this situation under control its about time Salles Marina did this too.

Nice hotel - great pool and well located for golf

Went to Mallorca for a friends wedding and picked this hotel over others as it was where a lot of other guests were staying. Hotel facilities are pretty good - there is a pretty good spa which was included in our room rate (treatments were extra - but basic facilities were included and pretty good). Swimming pool was really good. Food at hotel was OK - and there were limited options close to hotel, so much so we ended up going to the same places a couple of times. We also played golf a couple of times and the hotel was very well located for the courses at Bendinat and Santa Ponsa.

On downside hotel Wifi was poor - we ended up turning if off and hot-spotting from Phones/UK data

the hotel is very welcoming, smells lovely, friendly staff, very clean, great pool areal with lots of sunbeds. The rooms, although not large, are lovely and clean with comfortable beds. We stayed on B & B basis and found lots of choice, including a chef there to freshly cook omlettes and pancakes. It is ideally located with a number of decent eating places nearby.

I don’t know where to start…  This hotel and its location is perfect; breakfast (included) was marvelous with plenty of options... The SPA (included) is superb; we went there almost every day... All the staff at the bar, reception, SPA, pool, rooms are very friendly, no matter what you request… The location is excellent, less than 10 minutes walking distance from the Port with plenty of restaurant options ($$$$), but the restaurant adjacent to the hotel were the best and less expensive ($$-$$$) If you compare Miami and Palma de Mallorca, we had lunches between $65 and $85 for four adults with drinks, in Miami would have been $140-$150. At Port Portals you must eat at Chamelis, Moo Moo’s, Il Tano, Fish & Chips, Perla, etc. At Port Calanova we went to Cyrano, Charlotte (Luisa is the owner, very charmin) and an Argentinean restaurant close to Cyrano. The most expensive dinner was $105 with tapas Paella, Ribeye stakes and drinks, again for four adults… The rooms were modern and it had everything you need to make you happy. Pool was huge and very clean with a separate kid’s pool and an indoor pool for those who cannot handle cold water, we love it. They have a small gym, but if you go there, just walk, that would be enough to balance your day. If you are staying for a week, rent a car, taxis are expensive, we paid €35 from PMI to the hotel and we rented for €50 a day (Hertz) including full insurance coverage, a must; street in the city are narrow, some of them are alleys, fun!!!

A slightly dated four star hotel. It's fair to say that the photographer did a good job on the pictures, because it is all a lot more basic and old-fashioned than the \"boutiquey\" images suggest!

However, this isn't necessarily a bad thing. The hotel gets most of the important things right, and there are luxurious touches such as decent linens and bathrobes. The spa is particularly noteworthy and perfect if you like bubbles and water jets.

Breakfast was decent enough although the presentation is rather canteen-like. I was also a bit put out to be moved mid-mouthful because I'd sat on a table pre-laid for lunch - I hadn't been told to do otherwise. However, other than this rather grating lapse in customer service, everyone was friendly and helpful.

Portals Nous isn't a big resort and it is very hilly. There's a reasonable choice of restaurants and a few shops, plus the very expensive marina, complete with big boats and eye-wateringly expensive eateries. It's a good place to spend a few days NOT paralysed by choice, but I could imagine being a bit bored if I were there much longer.

I was happy with the hotel, especially at such a good price. The room was very small but I was happy there!

AIR con unit only works when hotel allows it to, ie off at night .
No duvets on the beds, just a sheet and a cotton cover . I stayed n end November when it was cold at night. Some fleece blankets in the cup board but as hygienic as having your own laundered duvet cover,
Horrible foam spanish long pillows gave me neck ache .

Spa was nice for back ache .
breakfast , hot buffet dishes continually cold, no lids on back, egg and bean , tomatoes, they need to re think this way of displaying the hot food. Not up to 4 Star breakfast due the this. you can have an omelette ,aid to order though as there s microwave to heat up the cold food .
NO porter service .

Outstanding hotel

Great location ,easy access by bus to Palma city and Palma Nova , lovely 10min walk to portals marina .loads of restaurants and bars in walking distance .hotel excellent ,breakfast outstanding lovely pool area plenty of beds !!!

Excellent location for Puerto Portals and Palma
Fantastic value and spotlessly clean
We miss the former manger but the hotel team has stepped up and so far the hotel seems to be running as it always has been ...time will tell

Disappointing

The room was quite small but clean and adequate. Lots of hangers and wardrobe space, mini bar, hair dryers, nice small terrace. The air conditioning was strong and effective.

The pool area was so unattractive and run down that we couldn’t use it. The sun lounger covers were dirty and mouldy and the view is of a dilapidated apartment block.

Portal Nous is a lovely little place with decent restaurants and the marina is very upmarket with high end, expensive restaurants.

Great hotel, excellent location

This is the second time I've used this hotel, it's clean and comfortable, staff are great, and the it's location makes it easy to get about. The local bus stops a few meters down the road and they are frequent, making it easy to get to Palma and from there anywhere on the island.
The local restaurants give plenty of choice and the local supermarket was well stocked.

Clean, basic hotel.

Clean hotel looking a bit tired in places.
Breakfast, reasonable choice.
Location close to a few reasonably priced restaurants. Marina and beaches about 20 minutes walk down steep hill.

Very quiet hotel away from the drama of magaluf.

Close to the best beach in the area. Clear water. Pool smaller than it looks on pictures but the rest is great. Would have loved more animations though.
