Beautiful property set in a residential area close to a beautiful beach with Freddy’s beach bar . Bus stop close for visiting palma and easy to get to using bus from airport..Hotel very clean , friendly staff and nice pool area . Looking to hook again for next year , perfect short break

Hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly, they also were able to check in us earlier. Pool are was nice, as well, as rooms, very clean. The breakfast was delicious and had a huge selection. Also, took us about 15 min to walk to the nice beach Portals Nous.

it is much smaller than shown in the pictures, rooms were tiny and barely any light in there. The pool area is nice but thats pretty much it. The breakfast was very very basic. Overall, this is more so a 3 star stay than 4

Good hotel

The hotel is nice and recently renovated. Is in a good location 5 minutes from a good beach and 10 minutes from shops/restaurants.

Staff are very friendly and accommodating

Only downside was the rooms are quite noisy - You can hear other guests walking in the rooms around you quite loudly, getting showers etc.

This is a good, reasonably priced, holiday hotel that is very clean (the cleaning staff are v thorough), has an excellent breakfast selection and friendly helpful staff. Aircon is great, there’s a good sized, immaculately clean pool, they provide pool towels and there’s a bathroom you can shower in if you’re staying on for a while after you’ve checked out.

The pool is also out of use after 7pm, which means that rooms overlooking it aren’t disturbed at night, plus the fact that the hotel is in a residential street, not on the beachfront.

We had a deluxe double which was pretty small but with balcony and modern bathroom (smallest hotel shower I’ve seen in a while with a bit of a rickety frame but plentiful hot water and good water pressure. Toiletries almost impossible to decant!

Guests were a wide spread of ages and nationalities, but with a calm and relaxed vibe (only saw two children all week).

The nearest beach is small and was very packed when we were there but there are other beaches in walking distance and a good bus service to the big beaches in the nearby resorts. The marina is a 25 minute stroll away but great for evening dining and people watching.

Couple of things to be aware of:
The hotel is on a street that is steeply uphill on at least two sides (not far but steep) so anyone with difficulty walking may struggle on foot.
Also, the walls between rooms are very thin so earplugs may be useful if you’re a light sleeper.

All in all, a v pleasant stay.

Rooms in the annex building have no views and ours lacked privacy and soundproofing from the gym and neighbouring rooms.
Pool area was nice but couldn't cater for too many people - also to note the policy of 1 pool towel per person per stay.
Some of the staff had a bit of a language barrier with English.
Overall a great location and generally friendly staff.
Hotel restaurant and bar was overpriced and took advantage of the location.

Air conditioning in room ot working - didn't sleep. They did try fix it and gave us a refund for the rest of the stay as we moved hotel. Pictures of hotel look way better than it is - premier inn at best - cheap for the area tho.

I've now stayed at this hotel 4 times. Every time as good as the last. The food is very good, the bar is well stocked and will make any drink you request.
The staff are jewel in this hotel crown. They go out of their way to make your stay a happy and comfortable one.
I would highly recommend this hotel to any one staying in Portals.
I'm looking forward to my next stay.

Solid 3 star hotel. Would stay here again. Pool area and location lovely, staff excellent, breakfast fantastic, rooms clean but basic. We upgraded to a deluxe room as standard rooms do not have a fridge and one of our party needed to store medication in a fridge. Bit disappointed that the hotel could not arrange for a small fridge in a standard room but they did offer to store the meds in the fridge at the bar. This was not something we wanted to risk (understandably!) so decided to upgrade. Upgraded room had bigger balcony and sea view which was nice, fridge and kettle. Bizarrely even though a kettle was provided, there was no tea or coffee- even though the hotel could easily provide this as it’s provided at breakfast. For an extra €200 to upgrade I thought this was a bit miserable. Overall a good stay.

Lovely, good value small hotel.

The hotel is fantastic, only small but the staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are bright and modern. (Make sure you ask for a room with sea view as the rooms at the back don’t have very good views.) The hotel is really clean, has a lovely pool, a fantastic choice of food at breakfast and is very handy for the beautiful beach and marina with its lovely bars and restauarants. People watch and have a drink at Cappuccinos and definitely give Lila restaurant (above the beach) a try. It’s excellent value and we keep coming back so it must be brilliant.

Got checked in quickly and efficiently and went to room to unpack. Had paid for 'deluxe' room but only benefits were pool view and provision of pool towels; room was compact. Room had a kettle but no cups or tea or coffee; asked receptionist what kettle was for and was told \"for boiling water\". Bathroom was very shabby - numerous cracked tiles, holes that had been filled after towel ring had been moved and enamel had worn off various places on the bath with rust showing through. Wash hand basin developed leak from waste pipe and had to be fixed - was angled towards the floor so nothing would sit on it.

Nice hotel in residential area

We stayed here for 10days on bed and breakfast basis. Our room had a terrace over looking the pool with 2 sun beds on it. These rooms are situated on the first floor overlooking the pool. There is a small sandy beach 400 metres away and a small village which is 15 minutes walk away which has several bars and restaurants in it and a small supermarket. The staff at the hotel are very helpful and the food was very good. The snack menu at dinner time is very good and reasonably priced.

Stay at RD Costa Portals:

The staff were fantastic especially Gabriel the barman and the waitresses in the restaurant. Overall, for the price of our stay, we were satisfied. We wanted an economical five day stay which was not our main holiday. The rooms were a bit small and the sounds of other guests' ablutions were quite obvious. Sound proofing of rooms recommended!! The pool area was nice with sea views. Breakfast was good. We didn't pay for evening meal as we like to go out to eat & try local restaurants. We did pay to \"eat in\" one evening as the weather was awful & we didn't fancy a walk into town in the rain. The food was average but not expensive so we didn't mind too much. The wine on the menu was pretty good and much cheaper than in local restaurants. We went on some lovely walks to local beaches & to the Marina which was great for \"people watching\". Clothes shops at the Marina's price tags were eye watering! I bought an identical top at the local beach shop near the hotel for 15 euros which was priced at a staggering 750 euros at the Marina!! Nevertheless, great yachts to look at!! Best local restaurant for delicious food & friendly service was Casa Paco but be aware that the menu of the night which includes three courses and wine can work out cheaper than having a single main course and drinks!! Our favourite seedy bar for a quick drink & tapas & free WIFI was opposite Casa Paco was \"Rua\".

Quiet hotel just outside the village

Been going to portals nous for a very long time, it's changed a lot but still beautiful, laid back and welcoming. Heroes sports bar is a favourite, very reasonable for the area and the staff are excellent. The Costa portals is a little out of the way but more quiet which is what I was after. The only thing I'd really change is maybe a small fridge in the room but it's not a deal breaker for me.

Stayed at this hotel last year. The price I paid this year was twice the price I paid last year. Granted, a complementary breakfast appears to be included with all rooms, but breakfast is only served between 8 - 10 o'clock, which led to queues every morning. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi which is so poor its not worth having.

Disappointing Hotel

A hotel on the outskirts of Portals Nous and a taxi drive to Puerto Portals made this an inconvenient location. The restaurant ambiance was more akin to a school canteen with little atmosphere and little or no spanish food on the menu, a case of quantity over quality.

The rooms were ok (we recommend a poolside room with terrace) but twin beds pushed together that kept moving apart during the night and a shower that barely dribbled water did not add to the experience.

However, the pool was lovely, the views to the sea were great and there was full sun (our room 116) until well past 7pm were big bonuses.

Great location and value for money!

Been here several times as the location is ideal and the hotel is great value for money. Rooms are basic but clean but wouldn't expect more from a 3*. Breakfast buffet good, lunch and evenjng buffet needs improving but we always eat out at fabulous restaurant around the area and port! Staff always welcoming and remember us from previous visit. Highly recommended if on a budget!

Brilliant hotel. Perfect, peaceful and great staff

The staff were extremely helpful and kind. Breakfast was a beautiful buffet with so much to choose from. The bar staff were great and the cocktails are to die for! I could have doesn't my entire holiday by the hotel pool and bar. Taxi's to places like magaluf, Santa ponsa and plama nova are so cheap and the bus run constantly and is only €1.50. Absolutely perfect holiday. I would go again and recommend anyone.

Located near a beautiful little beach. Plenty of restaurants 15 minute walk away. The marina took about 25 minutes to walk to. Hotel room in the small side but spotless with lovely sea views. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Always sunbed available when we did use the pool.

Terrible experience - Do not book a room in this hotel or in the \"RD Portals\" Chain!

This hotel just changed name and all the staff don't know what to do.
I was asking for a double bed months before but it was not possible to have it.
The carpet it is dirty in all the Hotel, the rooms are really small and without fridge.
The food it is just disgusting and always the same.
I was asking to cancel my reservation to go in another hotel but this was not possible.
They were asking me to move in another hotel from their chain RD Portals \"Mar de Portals\" and also there was a disaster.
Also there the staff/management it is a disaster.
They were able to ask me 3 different prices for the same room, they were telling me that I could have a room with Jacuzzi and they were selling me one with shower.
I was there for 2 hours waiting in order to see a decent room without an answer, without a smile, without a free drink!
At the end I went back to the previous Hotel because I had enough about their staff.

Even though I was not all inclusive the food on offer was very poor quality drinks very expensive room ok bathroom very cramped.Bar and restaurant very understaffed,at least two moor staff required.Location not what I expected 15 minutes walk to village.Will not return even if offered free deal.

Nice quiet hotel close to beautiful beach

We stayed at the Costa Portals for a long weekend as we were going to a family wedding. The hotel was in a quiet location but only a small walk to a fantastic beach, it was also not far from a larger beach, the marina, and endless excellent restaurants. It was excellent value we were bed and breakfast but did have a bar snack for lunch which was delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful the room was small but very clean.

We had a very relaxing stay, hotel staff were superb and always on hand to help. We had half board and food was good. Hotel is a short walk to beech cove , however a longer walk is required to get to town for other bars and shops. Bus service to get to Palma is very near. Hired car via rental company advertised in reception and was very reasonable

Great value experience!

Our room was a good size & had 3 single beds. Some of the double/twin rooms are very small though! The bathroom, although clean, was a little dated! Breakfast was of an acceptable standard, good enough, but not outstanding! The hotel was very clean & the staff were very helpful! No children are allowed, which was great! Overall, for a budget hotel, I can highly recommend & I will be going back!

This is my second visit to this hotel and again had a lovely time. I have read some quite critical reviews and whilst I can understand their negative comments about the food and staff, please don't be put off by them. The food is plentiful, ok so it's not haute cuisine and it may be a bit samey but let's not forget the price paid to stay here! And I'm a vegetarian and left full every night after eating my three courses. Not sure why you can't have a complimentary coffee/tea with your evening meal when on half board (only for those on all inc.) but a minor gripe.
Some of the staff could smile a bit more but they were always polite.
The area is lovely, buses very cheap to Palma/Magaluf.
Would definitely go back for a third time.

Very nice stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly and the rooms were very clean. We went for our annual cycling trip around the island and found this hotel to be the best yet. Great quiet neighborhood and the storage garage for the bikes was very secure. Highly recommend for any cycling tourist.

Im Zimmer wäre ein Schrank gut. Es gibt nur Bügel zum Aufhängen. Insgesamt gut, aber leider sind die Zimmer sehr hellhörig, vor allem wenn Gäste die Zimmertür zufallen lassen. Personal ist überwiegend sehr nett und hilsfsbereit.der Burger dort schmeckt hervorragend !

Keine Kritik von uns, aber für ein Hotel, das mit Adults only auftritt, waren dort sehr viel Eltern mit Kindern unter 14 Jahren.
Die Badausstattung ist spartanisch. Handwaschbecken viel zu klein, wenig Ablagen und die Seifenspender unpraktisch und geizig.
