I stayed 5 nights at this hotel booked through Expedia and had a very disappointing experience. The rooms flooded multiple times due to plumbing issues, and the hotel staff admitted it was a recurring problem. The pool was dirty and unusable for my entire stay after a storm, even though pool access was a key reason I chose this hotel. Despite being a Silver Member, I was told breakfast was not included. The most serious issue was that over $70 went missing from my bag while it was left in the room closet. Although the staff was polite and promised to investigate, these problems made my stay unsafe and unpleasant. I would not recommend this hotel.

The hotel was clean and generally well-maintained, but service could be improved. Towels and toilet paper weren’t restocked regularly, and on our last day the air conditioning stopped working. We were told it would be fixed by 11 a.m., but it never was, and no compensation or apology was offered at checkout. Disappointing end to an otherwise decent stay.

Lovely hotel ideal location for Port Portals - walkable in 5 mins. Hotel is spotless Pool area has a lovely chilled vibe. Nice pool bar with varied menu. Service was good. Bedroom was basic nice size but no balcony and after seeing the rooms are friends were in - they all had balcony’s yet we booked the same rooms it was a little disappointing. I would definitely stay here again However I would get a room with a balcony

Hotels.com sorted out our problems swiftly.

Sadly the pool was not open as advertised and there was plan to open anytime soon. Hotels.com stepped in and the Relocation Team , fully refunded us, and we moved to a more suitable one. Thanks for your professionalism.

Overall a decent stay. No issues at all. Situated in a very nice area, however the area is limited to one walkable beach, and very few reasonable restaurants. Mostly overpriced near by. However palmanova is only a 5 min bus away, and palma is 20-30 mins on bus. Bus station is a 2 min walk away from hotel.
Hotel breakfast is pretty good, however there is no gym at this hotel, and only one pool. Pool area didnt get too busy, always managed a sunbed.
Would recommend this hotel, however would most likely stay in a different area of majorca in future.

The hotels ok not amazing. It’s not boutique it’s 8 floors. They’ve obviously tried to make it feel boutique with nice sunbeds but it’s an old hotel with a few fancy chairs and music. I booked 1 standard and 1 deluxe room, both twin. My sons were in the standard and got cava and chocolates. My daughter and I got nothing and a double bed which they were unable to change -apparently you can ‘request’ it but it’s not guaranteed. We finally got them to swap to 2 single duvets and gave up - very unhelpful reception staff. The pool has v strong chemical and the pool shower is broken. It was fine for 4 night s and you can walk to the port but I’d hate to stay for longer. By a v busy road and squashed between that and a car park. Breakfast very basic indeed.

The hotel is conveniently located in Portals Nous, close to the marina and to a bus stop that takes you to several popular beaches. This makes the hotel a good base to explore the area. Mariana and Jordi at reception were friendly and helpful, and we received a welcome gift of Cava and chocolates in our rooms because this trip was a special birthday treat. This was a great start to our trip then things went downhill afterwards. The bathroom floods repeatedly (slipping risk), the toilet seat was cracked in my room, the toilet seat in my parents was busted on the third day and left standing without being securely fixed so it fell on my mother’s hand and hurt her (it’s a heavy seat), the cleanliness of the room left much to be desired, the cleaning staff woke me up at 8:30 a.m. one morning and kept knocking at my door repeatedly until they roused me from a deep and comfortable sleep, on another day they kept banging at my parents’ door even though there was a not disturb sign” on the door knob and it was barely 11:40 a.m., our toilet paper was not replenished on two separate on their roof on a Friday night with drunk shouting in the corridors and parking lot until 1 a.m. The loud music made our rooms shake and we got no sleep at all (we had an early flight the next day). You’re a hotel not a nightclub. Be better!

We are traveling a lot and sometimes hotels in Europe are not what travelers from America get used to. This hotel met all our expectations: nice, clean, stuff is friendly and very helpful, included breakfast was good, and there are AC in rooms that work very well, which is not a case in many European hotels. There is no hotel’s dedicated parking, but we had no problem to park on the street right infront of the hotel. There are 5-7 restaurants in no more than 10 min walking distance through the very nice neighborhood. There is small, but quite cozy pool area. And… there is nothing else to do around, which was not a problem for us.

Perfect location in Portals. Great sea view room, shower with a view, quiet secluded swimming pool and the best sun loungers ever! For some reason housekeeping forgot to give us fresh towels two days in a row but the main disappointment was the check-in and check-out experience. The reception staff were uninterested, they did not offer any explanation of the facilities. Upon check out we were not even asked if we enjoyed our stay...basic etiquette.

We were in the top floor and had some issues with the water temperature in the shower. Also, the lift was noisy and often distributed our sleeping.
However, the staff were really lovely and overall very happy to have stayed.
We will certainly return.

We really enjoyed our stay here in Portals - a hotel about a 5 minute walk from the beach and similar to the Port which has several bars and restaurants. The pool isn't huge but we always managed to find a sunbed - even if we had to wait a little bit of time on one occasion. Excellent bar and restaurant (we can recommend the Mango Daqiuri and the Croquetas/Tacos. Staff were really friendly, particularly behind the downstairs bar and the poolside. There is a rooftop as well and we enjoyed the sunset at the 90's closing party. My only slight query was that I requested single beds twice prior to arrival and when I got there it was a King bed that couldn't be changed.

Disappointment on 2nd visit!

I have been to this hotel before so I new what to expect. However this time we were staying for a friends wedding along with a large group of friends. The room we were given must of been the smallest of its kind, we didn’t have a balcony just a small window which we couldn’t open. The wardrobe was the same size as the mini bar (not ideal for a suit and long dress). We asked to upgrade but were told the hotel was fully booked. We booked a standard room, the same as all of our friends, however they all had bigger rooms with balcony’s. I assume that because we booked so far in advance we paid the lowest rate and therefore got the worst room, hardly fair is it for a returning customer just because they booked early! We were told when checking in on the first day that breakfast was from 9-12, as it was 11am we asked if we were able to have breakfast but was told it’s only the morning after you stay (fair enough), however the next morning after having a coffee each and a small plate of eggs we were presented with a €40 bill.. turns out our breakfast was not included in our booking. I’m not quite sure what happened as we would never intentionally book with out breakfast, on hotels.com there isn’t even an option to book without and we were not made aware of this when checking in, in fact we was told we could only have breakfast the following day... surely if you are paying you can eat when you like!

Disappointed and unlikely to return for a 3rd time.

We rebooked OD due to a fantastic stay the year before. On booking the same type of room we assumed we would be in the same room as last year, however they seem to have two levels of ‘delux rooms’ and unfortunately this time we were put in the smaller of the two.

Based on the room we were given this time we would not return. I brought this up at reception, where they acknowledged that there was two levels of deluxe room and one was much bigger and that we had been given a smaller room.

For £240 we were disappointed. If you are booking a deluxe room I recommend you request the larger bedroom shown in the pictures.

Arrived at hotel and was dropped off in car park, it has a very weird lay out as the pool is next to the car park and extremely small. The staff were very rude and not welcoming on arrival and as our rooms weren’t ready we had to get changed in the toilet. Breakfast was poorly laid out in the morning and every morning we had to set out our own table of 4 as they were all set for 2. The rooms were fine however no balcony or view. Hotel looks a lot nicer and bigger on pictures than it actually is, good location however due to staff wouldn’t stay again.

Visited this hotel before and was super impressed by the service, quality and cleanliness unfortunately we did not have the same experience this time. Weather was poor on arrival so did not use the balcony until a few days later and when we went out there was broken glass everywhere this had clearly been there before we checked in and the room had been cleaned once after that. Luckily we realised before stepping onto it. Daily breakfast always seemed like a treat as during our previous stay cava was available this was not the case until our 3rd morning after we mentioned to reception. Our safe didn't work on arrival saying low battery which we reported straight away, we were advised it had been fixed, it wasn't and mentioned again and still wasn't fixed although we were offered a room move. The breakfast food was ok but having used snack menu and room service those were both outstanding quality, great flavours. The care home across the road has no entry system therefore cars have to beep to gain entry and exit this can become irritating when at the pool or on balcony. Its a bus road as it is now with this added its annoying. Unfortunately we wont be using this hotel again.

Port Portals Mallorca weekend

Standard rooms do not have a balcony, rooms very hot and stuffy aircon is only turned on in summer and if you open the window it's very noisy. Breakfast excelent, however my freinds joined me for breakfast one day and although one only had a coffee I was charged 20€ each, I did take this up with the reception, but got nowhere. Would only stay again in a front room with a balcony. Generally though all the rooms are noisy, because the hotel is situated in front of a roundabout on a major road with the motorway just behind.

Immaculate, modern and spacious rooms at a reasonable price. Reception staff welcoming and helpful and cleaners very polite. There is a slight catch however.. the price for on-site food and drink is quite incredible. We misunderstood the receptionist at check in and thought breakfast was included (it wasnt - totally our fault for not checking though) but when we discovered the bill of €120 for 3 days (€20pp per day) i was absolutely speechless. It's not just the breakfast either, the lunch menu, drinks, room snacks.. totally crackers prices for very average, typical hotel grub. In conclusion its a lovely hotel with wonderful staff but avoid eating and drinking here at all costs unless you're prepared to remortgage your house. Take a 5min walk into the port instead and visit the plethora of bars and restaurants which offer considerably higher quality food at significantly lower prices.

The staff at the hotel are amazing, really friendly and helpful. Breakfast wasn't cheap but it's good quality. The room is super comfortable and the free 'first round' minibar was a nice touch. The only problem with the room is that the shower just wasn't designed properly - it was impossible to take a shower without a huge amount of water going everywhere, even leaking outside the bathroom which we had to try and mop up with towels in the room. The area is okay with plenty of parking right next to the hotel which is convenient if you are driving. We found the area a bit boring, not that many shops, restaurants or people around so drove into Palma most nights for dinner.

This was our second time at the hotel and we were delighted that it has kept up it's high standards since our last stay. The hotel is a lovely place for a couple to enjoy a holiday, enjoying drinks by the pool, eating at the hotel or at the amazing restaurants at the Port.

The staff really are fantastic and looked after us throughout the stay. Rooms are modern with good space and the deluxe room we had has a lovely balcony as well.

We will certainly be returning and look forward to being back in Portals next year.

Room was very clean and comfortable. Hotel staff were lovely and very helpful and pleasant. However the bedroom was smaller than I'd expected. Didn't like the fact there was no kettle. Really noisy rooftop nightclub that made the room shake the music was so loud. It's fine if thats what you're after but we wanted a more relaxing and restful environment and this is not the hotel for you if that's what you are looking for in a holiday. Very limited number of sun loungers. I wouldn't return.

Fab Hotel !

We chose this hotel to celebrate our 20th Anniversary and it didn't disappoint ! I've stayed at other hotels in Portals Nous but this was by far the best. Although it's location is set on the side of a main road leading down to the marina don't let that put you off as it's trendy, clean, with courteous and friendly staff and the view from the roof top bar is beautiful. The pool area is lovely but I would improve the pool bar service to have a waiter coming around to see if you wanted drinks (and clearing glasses) as opposed to going up to ask, however once ordered they do bring them to your bed. Although room only we sampled some food from the menu and it was THE best club sandwich I've ever had...and being 47, I've had a few ! Overall we were really pleased with the hotel and have vowed to go back again next year which we rarely do. Would recommend this highly for couples, but not so for groups or families.

Disappointing room

The hotel was lovely but none of its standard rooms have a balcony or sea view. This is not made clear in the description and spoilt our stay as we looked out over the back of the hotel and had nowhere to sit outside or dry our swimwear. When we went to reception to complain they said they couldn't move or upgrade us as they were fully booked, though the pool was mainly empty until our last day.
The room they gave us had a very limited wardrobe and nothing longer than a blouse could be hung up, the shower flooded very badly and we had to use the towels to mop up every day.
The hotel is very clean and modern with a lovely little pool and a fantastic sky bar on the roof with amazing views of the sea and the marina.
Shame our stay was somewhat spoiled by the room

OK but not worth the money

Hotel was ok but have paid less and got more for my money. Check in was chaotic with small reception desk. Wanted a twin room (two men sharing) but was given a double. Pool had insufficient sunbeds (probably for only 25% of guests). Breakfast service was very slow. Room bar was very nice bit again service was sooooo slow. Weather was nice though ☀️

great location

Good, Modern clean hotel. Rooftop bar excellent. Small pool area and not enough beds. Waiters very slow to bring drinks but pleasant friendly staff who were apologetic. Possibly a little short staffed. Rooms excellent. Shower with window overlooking sea is a plus.

Fantastic Modern Hotel, Great Location

This was my second visit to OD Portals. A modern clean hotel in a great location. Only 5-10 min walk to the Port.
The staff are all friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and modern. The pool area was nice and clean with good sunbeds and towels provided by the hotel. The breakfast buffet was really good and we liked the fact breakfast was served until 12pm. The roof top bar is also well worth a visit.
