This resort was amazing and high class. It does have an older crowd for the most part or at least the time that we went was end of September. We had the breakfast/dinner buffet included in our room, although we did not make it for breakfast. The dinner was great! The staff was really friendly and helpful. I needed some paperwork printed off, and they did that for me immediately and helped me with find a post office. The gym is small but has an amazing view. I would definitely stay here again next time I’m in my Mallorca

Beautiful hotel!!

Stayed for a long weekend, second time visiting this hotel. It’s such a beautiful hotel, the lagoon and pool areas are amazing. The service is exceptional. The rooms all have stunning views of the sea. The rooms are a little old, with some wear and tear but it didn’t take away from just how wonderful this place is!

A wonderful spot on the ocean!

This hotel overall was great - the ocean view for every room is definitely the number one highlight. Also the staff / service was excellent - everyone was so friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, my friends and I loved starting our day with the delicious breakfast and gorgeous ocean view. The slightest downfall was the hotel in some parts is a little older / worn down, but everything was clean and that’s what matters most. An awesome place with awesome staff!

Service was excellent. Marian was exceptional helpful, professional and knowledgeable.
Room was very nice and restaurants were also very good. Could have had some adult entertainment other than a piano and violin player.
The only negative was that the only way to access the pool area was to walk down two flights of stairs. As my wife is somewhat handicapped it was a once a day trip to the pool.

Beautiful Hotel!

It was amazing!! From the moment we stepped in the service was incredible. The staff are all friendly and helpful. Especially those on the reception desk. They gave us great restaurant recommendations. They allowed us to have a late checkout on the Sunday which meant we could have a few extra hours by the pool and time to get ready before our flight home. Lunch by the pool was pricey but really delicious!
Rooms were large and clean and had full sized bath products in the bathroom. Stunning sea views and a big balcony too! We can't wait to come back!

Pool area and views where Fantastic! The staff was friendly and most of them provided great service.

We upgraded to Red level and was told we where getting a better room. The room was old and in need of a remodel. It was also very hot and the maximum cold on the a/c was 22 Celsius. When we told the front desk, they sent up maintenance and the a/c maximum was now 19,5 Celsius, and still very hot. We also had tiny ants in our room on the 7th floor. Also the common areas in this hotel was very hot, like the corridor outside the rooms, restaurants and other areas.

At check-out we told them that we where not to happy about the temperature in the room. We where told an excuse that our room was at the end of the hotel and the a/c couldn't reach that far!!! We where also told that we would get a better room next time! No other compensation was offered!

In my opinion this is NOT a 5 star hotel!
I do NOT recommend this place and we will not come back!

Dog owners be ware! This hotel advertises as “pet friendly” but at best it is “pet tolerant”. They have very limited spaces where you can bring your pet outside of the crate. We travel with a 3 kilo well-trained, extremely white dog and it was difficult enjoy our holiday given the limited spaces where we could bring our dog without issues. They should advertise “pet tolerant” at best. The staff was kind and friendly and often apologized for administering the property rules.

The property grounds are beautiful and well kept. As expected there is no beach near the hotel. That was the only negative. The property however is designed to allow you to jump into the sea regardless with latters they have set up or you can enter sea through a rocky cove The breakfast buffet is terrific. The food and bar facilities on the grounds are also very good but be prepared to pay for what you get and more as even the still water in the rooms if consumed are charged to you.

The view from the room and the pools was fantastic. Bed was comfortable and the property was nice. The service at the restaurant and pool I found to be very slow and no free water in the room. Paying 5 euro seemed excessive when you are spending a decent amount on the nightly hotel. We checked in early and the room wasn’t available so they offered us lunch at the restaurant which was very generous. Overall lovely 2 days.

I loved that this place had its own private beach. Compared to other hotels in the area this was in a perfect location with an awesome beach alcove which is great for people who can’t swim and just to lay out all day in the shallow water with the option to jump in the deep water.

This hotel is very well kept and the staff is very helpful and very nice. The food in the restaurants Arels, Bardot, and Persepolis were so tasty and good. The breakfast buffet was amazingly good and the host was so nice, friendly and pleasant at all times. The only time I didn’t enjoy the food as much was the dinner buffet that they had one night.

There’s nothing that I didn’t like about the hotel. Stayed here for 2wks and we had the most amazing time during our stay. I travel to different parts of the world every year but never go to the same place twice but this is one place I would definitely go back to! The People of Mallorca are very nice and we really felt comfortable and safe everywhere we went. There’s so many different areas to go and visit but I think the location of this hotel is a great location.

Visited for 4 nights/5 days on recommendation of friends, and was not disappointed, the location was ideal only 20-30 mins from the airport and the position on the coast meant that even in very hot weather there was always a nice breeze coming from the sea. We enjoyed lovely breakfasts and lunches. The staff were always polite and helpful. This is a hotel for adults and so noise levels were extremely low which allowed for total relaxation, we will definitely be returning.

We had a decent stay at the hotel. The amenities were disappointing we wanted to use the hot tub pool and sauna in the evening and everything was closed after 8 pm which is very unusual. The beds were extremely comfortable, the showers were amazing and the room was nice however the cleaning lady left chocolates in our room and when we returned to the hotel there were tons and tons of ants crawling all over the desk and floor.

The most amazing hotel and service. It's very difficult to get me to give 5 stars but this hotel deserves 6. Amazing staff,aazing views, simply perfect. Check was perfect. The woman was from Czech Republic and was sooo sweet and explained the hotel in full detail. I will definitely stay here again.

Great relaxing getaway.

Lovely relaxing time, the pool, and outdoor areas were perfect for sunbathing etc. The bars had right amount of shade, staff were lovely and friendly, the service was impeccable, The Clarins spa was also great. My only complaint is that the food and drink in the hotel is a little too pricey, and the red level status unnecessary.

From the minute of arriving till departing we felt like VIP'S without all the fuss.

First class hotel, with beach access.

We have stayed at this hotel many times before. It has changed to a gran melia de mar which has elevated its star rating. The pool area has been refurbished, area round the ground floor too has changes all for the better.
We had a lovely welcome back from Silvio the lifeguard, who could not be more helpful!
With these changes has come a noticeable increase in the cost of drinks and food!

Lovely beach hotel, perfect for a relaxing weekend

We stayed over a long weekend in September. It was still very warm and the sea was the perfect temperature for swimming. They don't have a real beach, but they do have ladders on the rocks where you can climb right into the sea.

The external view of the hotel is a bit dated, but the rooms are very well maintained and clean. All the rooms have a sea view, and a little balcony.

We were there after the main tourist season, so it was very quiet. I imagine it's a bit noisier during the summer, especially as they have a DJ or live music in the evening. The soundproofing in the rooms is very good, though.

Our only quibble was with the food. It was very overpriced and very middle of the road. On our first day, there were pieces of plastic in the food. The waiter immediately refunded this, but it did put us off a bit. Luckily, there are several excellent restaurants within walking or driving distance.

We had a late flight, but we were able to store our bags and stay by the pool for the whole day after checkout, and they also gave us a room to wash up in before leaving. Again, this might have been because it was off season, and they had a rooms available.

FOOD POISONING FROM THE HOTEL RESTAURANT

I got terrible food poisoning from this hotel. They called a doctor to my room and made me pay for my doctor visit and also the food that got me sick. The doctor said that she didnt think it was from the food from the hotel but that is the only thing I ate all day and more importantly, I started feeling really sick right after I ate it so I believe the doctor is on their side. I called multiple times to the front desk because I literally thought I had to go to the hospital. I was throwing up, diarrhea, fever, chills, etc for 24 hours since I ate their food. They also had the audacity to tell me I should go to the hospital in the area to do a blood test to prove I got food poisoning because they didnt want to pay for my doctor visit and the $40 food I ate from their infested Kitchen. The worst service ever! I am just happy to be alive because I seriously thought I wasnt going to make it but it ruined my trip to Mallorca.

Iconic hotel, quiet area but close to Palma

Totally relaxing stay, lots of outside areas to enjoy the sun, especially liked the tranquility zone. Staff were attentive but not intrusive. We had a premium room and whilst it wasn't the largest room we've stayed in, the facilities were all that you would need. Balcony had sea views and was a pleasant space to enjoy a drink or just read. The public beach is about 15 minutes walk, nice beach, but it was very crowded and the hotel grounds and pools were much preferred. Dining options offered something for everyone, breakfast was excellent and exceeded our expectations.
We will certainly consider returning to this hotel.

Really lovely hotel, both the rooms and the communal areas, outdoors by the pools is especially nice. It rained one morning when we were there so we spend time in the spa which was really nice. Great buffet breakfast and the restaurant food was a really good standard too. The reception staff were great and really helpful with everything. The only complaints we would have would be the restaurant staff didn't seem to be able to cope with the amount of customers, on one occasion we waited 40 mins just to have our drinks order taken and when we tried to get the staff's attention they avoided eye contact. It's not the sort of behaviour you'd expect for a 5* hotel in peak season, if things are really busy hire more staff! Also getting a taxi from the hotel was a nightmare, regardless of when you booked it with reception there was always a delay and turned into a bit of a free for all. Waited over an hour to get a taxi one evening. Not directly the hotels fault but again a 5* hotel should have thought how to solve this situation. Overall a really really nice hotel/holiday, just a few minor qualms.

A comfortable, clean and pleasant hotel. Staff are friendly, housekeeping are great and provide excellent turn down service. The grounds have wonderful views and the Wifi is great! We had one irritating issue on three occasions with our umbrella being removed and given to other guests while we were having a short swim or had stepped away from our bed. This was annoying as we were using it and had deliberately selected beds with an umbrella, when we told the pool staff they didn't seem too bothered or apologetic despite having done it a few times but did bring another umbrella. Overall, this is a solid hotel.

Can't fault the hotel, its staff or the location - all staff were very friendly and efficient. Had the deluxe room which was large and luxurious, with a decent balcony overlooking the gardens and the sea. Hotel restaurants and bar were good, but it's only 10 Euros by taxi to excellent places to eat in the evening.

Nice hotel but not a 5star recommendation.

Hotel grounds are amazing and would say they do class a 5 star rating, however the actual hotel we wouldn't class 5 star. The room was in need of a little renovation, bathroom was starting to get a bit tired looking. The TV should have been a flat screen modern TV, the towels and dressing gowns, very old and like card board because of the amount of times they had been washed. We thought it was very expensive which you don't mind paying if it is 5 star, 5 star to me is luxury and I didn't find it luxury at all. The only luxury part of the hotel I would say was the outside area and even then they charge you extra to sit in certain areas, I think when you are paying over £900 for a five night stay out of season, it's a lot of money to then ask for extras to use certain parts of the hotel. Very disappointing as very expensive and not a five star class in the rooms.

Pure relaxation

Overall a great hotel in a great location. They celebrated their 50th year while I was there and you wouldn't know it is 50 years old as it seems to have been renovated a couple of years ago with high class furniture and amenities. I dinned in the hotel restaurant a couple of times and I have to say the service was overall outstanding and the food quality superb, one night I had a craving for specific dish and the chef came out to me to make suggestions and then was able to still surprise me with the innovative way my wishes were dealt with. The location is great, close enough to Palma (about 15-20 min drive) but secluded enough to enjoy the private inlet and access to the sea (the beach is not big by any means but quite sufficient). They have 2 outside pools, 1 outside Jacuzzi, 1 inside pool (on the smaller side) and a very nice spa area.

Great Hotel shame about the sun beds

We have just come back from an excellent weekend in Majorca. The hotel was first class being in an excellent location on the shore, great modern facilities and superb staff. However it was very annoying to find out that having paid a significant sum to stay in the hotel that the sun beds prominently displayed in all promotional materials were charged out at an additional exorbitant rate per day. This was made worse that the only available sunbeds to use were fully occupied by a large group of Swedish holiday makers who were intent on being as loud as possible all day.

not sure i would rate this a 5 star, coffee machine in room, but you have to pay for the pods, petty really, not 5 star,
balcony very small. and claustrophobic, no sun after about 11,30, also expensive in hotel for what you get, however, plus points, staff helpful and friendly, especially yuri at reception and silvio the pool man, hotel is kept very clean, grounds are very well kept, breakfast is very good, great coffee,

Stylish Hotel no kids relaxing

The boutique hotel was to a high standard and the staff were very attentive and friendly. The rooms very stylish with mood lighting. There is an espresso coffee machine which can be used for hot water for tea, etc, you do not need to bring a kettle.

The only issue was the food, the evening meal in the main restaurant was poor. We had one tuna meal which was similar to reconstituted Spam, the pricing was high for the quality of what was on offer. For a bar meal we requested the beef burgers to be well done, this was served raw in the middle. Fortunately we did not have the meals incorporated in the hotel rates, as there were some excellent restaurants within 10 min or 30 to 40 mins if heading for the marina.

A very enjoyable stay and would go back.

Every facility required. Superb views from room.

When one experiences excellent facilities and service and food it comes as a surprise as so often nowadays pictorial images on publicity brochures and computer links don't match reality. Not so in this case. Everything wonderful and absolutely no complaints, only congratulations to management and staff.

Great view and small beach

Very pricy versus value, no hot tub without paying for SPA services,room layout somewhat weird--Bed in middle of room and therefore not against a wall, closets unable to hang longer items than shirts, breakfast 50euros for two, help desk not that helpful although very nice attitude, BUT view is outstanding with a very small beach.

Very quiet and relaxing

Great hotel, no kids so very quiet and relaxing. I know you should expect this from a five star, but the drinks etc were very expensive so do make sure you are aware before booking.

Location is great right on its on private little bay, however there isn't much around outside the hotel. A few restaurants etc about a 10 minute walk away and the bus stop right outside takes you to Palma or port el nous for less than 2 euro.

Overall lovely, clean and friendly hotel with very polite and attentive staff. would definitely recomend.

Lovely Getaway Place

A very quiet and relaxing atmosphere which was perfect for our long weekend break. A clean and tidy hotel.
There are restaurants a plenty in a 10-20 minute stroll from the hotel.
Unfortunately the shower was smaller than a phone box, usable, but difficult and I'm only an average sized person! We did also have a bath to use.
I can only comment on breakfast as we didn't have any other meals in the hotel. It had something for everyone. Hot, cold, savoury, sweet, plenty of juices and also Cava if you wished.
It's a shame that our bed was two singles pushed together with two single duvets tucked in around the sides! If they couldn't provide a double bed, then just one duvet that covered the two beds as one, would have been perfectly acceptable and more comfortable.
Overall, we would definitely stay here again.

Excellent hotel on seafront.

Lovely welcome. Beautiful aspect with sea view. Terraces right down to the water with a lovely private cove. Helpful staff. Definitely worth a return visit.

Great hotel for a weekender, 10 mins from airport

Overall a great hotel with a large outdoor pool and restaurant area. The food in the restaurants is very good if a little pricey and the choice of restaurants is good for a couple of days. Very easy access to palma for a wider choice. Main downside is that whilst You can access the sea the \"private beach\" is very small.

Short beark hotel not more!

Not recommended!!! Good location for short break, without sandy beach, not 5* star hotel, very poor cleanliness, dusty balconies, I never had so bad quality food before, overpriced pool restaurant.

Would not class as 5 star and very expensive

Room was comfortable enough but hotel is very tired around the edges and finish is not what you would expect from a 5 star. Food and drink very expensive. Great view from balcony, we were on 5th floor. Think if you are any lower then the trees would block view. Music played outside near pool and resturant too loud for me, had to wear ear plugs to block noise out so I could sleep.
