The hotel itself was super clean as well as my room, very comfortable beds and beautiful view to the blue lagoon. Bathroom was clean and modern but they didn’t provide shower caps or other small toiletries, but not a deal breaker.
In general is a good hotel, close to the airport, staff was very helpful and attentive and I definitely will book with them again.

The hotel was in a great location and the airport shuttle was nice. The room had electrical issues where the outlets in the bathroom and by the bed did not work. Also, the front desk was a total mess. The supervisor on duty seemed annoyed with customers and no one seemed to know what was going on.

I never made it, and Expirian customer services couldnt help me with reembolsment. I am still in the cruise until tomorrow we ll arrive at Miami port, and not sure if we have to pay extra for my carry on, because I never planed to travel with Frontier airline also with transfer, that means pay carry on for 2 people twice in one day.
I am really disapoint with the itinerary Expiria did. I got sick before get to Miami, that day American Airline sent me next day to Miami with ladeover in Orlando. I get late to Miami port.I a. Gonna file a complain against Esperia.
No more vacation trust with them.

Parking is a problem here, I paid $18 per night and when in the evening i wanted to park my car, the garage was full. Hotel staff asked me to park at nearby Hilton hotel and walk back, which was inconvenient. Room service is every other day. Room size is very small, with zero closets. Not convenient, if staying with family

My wife and I were forced to remain in Miami one day longer than anticipated because of a flight delay. We chose to stay that extra night--a Sunday--at Tru by Hilton Miami South.

Apparently, so did several dozen other individuals, some of whom had also been flight delayed.

The result was chaos at the hotel front desk when we checked in.

Fortunately, we'd booked online via our Expedia.ca account, so had a reservation number--not so for the 20 or so others who were crowding the hotel entrance waiting to learn if they were going to find a bed for the night.

The front office staff were very accommodating--no complaints about their attitude or demeanour. The problem being that aside from the crush of people demanding to know if and when they'd be issued a room key, those items--room keys--were not available because of a glitch with the key carding system.

So it was that after waiting almost three hours to be assigned a room, a staff member had to let us into our room, then show us how to leave the door unlocked so that we could reenter the room without assistance.

Unfortunately, by the time we checked out the following morning the non-working key card coder situation had not been resolved. As a result, we were forced to stay in our room rather than going out for a meal/evening entertainment, etc., because we couldn't risk our valuables being left unlocked in our room.

Overall, a 2/5 experience at this hotel.

The young girl who works at the front desk at night is so unprofessional and constantly on her phone. I had to say something to her since I was standing at the desk while she was sitting in the corner on her phone not even realizing I was standing there. There were men outside the hotel that tried to follow me and all I could think about is what if they sneak past the front since the stupid girl doesn’t monitor anything.

No se puede negar que el hotel es bonito, tiene su mística, pero hay cosas que no están muy bien:

1. La publicidad en relación al parqueo es engañosa, sepan que aunque indiquen que el parqueo está disponible, pero no es gratis e inclusive es caro. En el área hay opciones mejores que no cobran el parqueo.

2. El cuarto está limpio, bonito, PERO no tiene un closet para colgar ropa, solo tienen un \"tubo\" donde se puede colgar limitadas prendas.

3. Si tienes la mala suerte de quedarte en un cuarto cercano a la máquina de hielo, tendrás que sufrir, porque hace mucho ruido y a toda hora hay gente que llega a llenar su cubeta. Además que durante la estadía, tuve mala suerte y mucha gente bulliciosa, a toda hora.

4. El frigobar, hace demasiado ruido, si tienes el sueño ligero te puede afectar.

En general, aunque el hotel es bonito, las fotografias corresponden a lo que verás, pero no lo recomiendo.

The air conditioner kept me awake off and on through the night. It sounded like a jet engine winding up every time it turned on. The shower had a sign that said to run the water for one minute to get warm. I ran it for 15 minutes and it never did get warm. I had to take a quick cold shower and didn't get to wash my hair because it was still that cold. I told the front desk and they said they would have maintenance look into it. No sorry or discount or anything. I will say the lobby was nice and the evening staff was very kind and helpful. The food there was pretty good. The location was excellent.

I didn’t use the airport shuttle. Waited awhile, and never saw one come by even from a different hotel. Room was clean. Sink faucet was temperamental. I liked having a coffee machine available. I would tell future guests not to arrive before 3 o’clock check-in time or you’ll be sitting in the lobby with another 100 guests until then. Also, bring ear plugs. Never heard any airplane noise, but clanking and water flushing during the night. Didn’t really bother me, but did remind myself to bring ear plugs next time.

Located very conveniently for cruisers flying into Miami a day or two before sailing. Very close to the airport and walkable to nearby Starbucks, fast food restaurants, Publix, delicious local restaurants and even a fantastic massage spa. The included breakfast buffet is outstanding and we enjoyed the in-room amenities (liquid hand soap, body wash, shampoo & conditioner). Great view of the lagoon, air conditioner works beautifully and beds are very comfy. All in all, a wonderful stay and a really great price point, too.

After a long flight from the UK we're so glad we opted to stay near the airport to rest up for a night. The shuttle was free, we didn't have to wait long at the airport and it was just a 15 minute drive to Tru. The hotel was great, clean and welcoming, free coffee and swimming pool. The room and bed was comfortable and we stayed on site and ate at the hotel bar on the 10th floor with a great view of a thunderstorm. My wife beat me at pool, that was the only downside.

The breakfast range was vast, back up on the 10th floor, but my appetite was up after a good workout in the gym. We'll definitely book back in here next time we fly into Miami.

What surprise me was that when I booked the room it was supposed to sleep five, but I found that it only slept four. Also, the amenities where not what I have come to expect when booking a room under the Hilton brand. It is one place that I will not intentionally book again. Even with it being in close proximity to the Miami cruise port.

I was thoroughly impress by the cleanliness of the property. The hotel smelled soooo good not just in the lobby but on the hotel floors! And the breakfast...Wow!! I was not expecting the amazing variety! Hot food which was freshly prepared! Plus the view from the tenth floor where the breakfast was located was incredible! Whoever thought of this concept of continental breakfast needs a raise!! I even told our Taxi driver how amazing the facility and breakfast was at TRU! The beds was comfort and I slept like a baby! Oh and the added touch of my name on the TV! Fantasic welcoming idea!! I will definitely recommend your hotel to my friends! Your hotel was priceless! And truly affordable!! Thank You TRU for making my stay excellent before my cruise!!

I arrived and had all my luggage by ~1030 pm. Called for the shuttle and was told it's not making any more runs for the evening. I realize my flight was delayed and knew it ended at 11 so I ordered a car. However after I order/waited/and ubered to the hotel I was checking in, and the shuttle pulled up with someone to check in.

Cleaning staff woke me up before 9am while I had mrly resting sign up on my door. Then about an hour later I was woken up AGAIN by a staff member calling to ASK IF I CHECKED OUT!!! I was still trying to sleep and obviously in the room. To be disturbed and woken up multiple times was beyond frustrating as I was trying to rest from long day of travel and for my event.

Third....the TV Just stopped working as I was settling into bed. Just went black and would not turn back on for the remainder of my stay.

This is a fabulous and convenient hotel... BUT the parking entry/exit was a tabacle having to use room key for BOTH entry AND exit! Key didn't work. Thank God I was not alone to help. I'm use to leaving room key in hotel when checked out! Also, the AC in the hallways were frigid! Needed sweatshirt at bar and restaurant!
