Had a pleasant stay in the hotel, in a quiet part of the Old Town within easy walking distance from the cathedral and the sea. A small breakfast restaurant and thoughtful staff. Also has a lovely spa in the basement

The hotel announces as Spa and it’s not. We asked the attendant and even if they saw the add in our phone they disappeared admitted. Very noisy and the personnel don’t seem to be able to handle the noise.

Amazing boutique hotel in the old town area of Palma. It’s close to the Cathedral of Palma de Mallorca, one of Europe’s most beautiful cathedrals. The Santa Clara is also near to the marina and the best restaurants and shopping on Palma de Mallorca .

This is a wonderful little hotel located on a tiny street in the old town section of Palma. Friendly and informative staff are there for your personal needs. And our room was very spacious with stone walls —- quite unique!

Quiet location in the centre of Palma. Lovely old style suite with sandstone walled interior. Friendly reception staff & barman. Good wi-fi.
The cleaning staff were a bit hit & miss - had to go to reception for towels, coffee, etc, but room was very clean. This hotel is very good, but the service inconsistencies need addressing.

Excellent property in great location - 5 mins walk from Cathedral and city centre, 25 mins easy walk to the beach. Rooftop seating area has lovely views and staff will bring drinks up from bar for you too.
Breakfast was great, staff very pleasant and helpful.
Comments on room 208
A damp smell in there when we arrived but didn’t notice after a couple of days. The extractor fan in bathroom didn’t seem to work so maybe that was why?
Room could do with some hooks / rails to hang towels to dry - we had to ask to have fresh towels every day as the used ones didn’t dry properly.
The wardrobe doors were at head height when opened and were a bit of a hazard but we got used to ducking under them!
Overall the room was a good size and the bed very comfortable, with just a couple of minor niggles that didn’t ruin our stay.
We will be back! Thankyou.

Staff is not particularly friendly at reception.The place is impossible to reach by car and the booking confirmation does not give any directions. The staff couldn't care less. Also, we were refused a 1pm late checkout which is bizarre given that we stayed in low season. We will not book this place again. It's not worth the money.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean, well decorated rooms with lots of amenities. The spa is small, but it was never busy. I think they were having a bit of trouble with the steam room-it wasn't always hot even when turned on. But everything else was perfect. Would stay there again.

The hotel is located near the cathedral which is a great. The roof top is just breath taking. You can see the old monastery next door which still has 14 or so nuns that live there. You can just relax on the roof top in a lounge chair until the stars shine enjoying a cocktail and feeling the breeze from the ocean.

I was a little bit underwhelmed by the property after reading such rave reviews. My experience is mostly based on the room we were given on the first floor right next to the restaurant. Each morning we were awaken by loud noise coming from the restaurant as they were preparing breakfast. Also, our room was inundated with ants crawling everywhere, especially in the bathroom. Lastly, we were rubbed the wrong way by one of the front desk staff (Paco). When asked for recommendations and suggestions we felt he was a little rude. He just gave off an uncomfortable vibe instead of a welcoming presence. Overall, the hotel was average. We would probably not stay here next time we visit Palma.

The patio at Santa Clara was one of our favorite places in all of Mallorca--we used it every night before and after dinner! The desk staff were very helpful and had really great recommendations; they informed us of the free bikes we could use, the spa, and they helped us rent a vehicle one day.

Cons: The only criticism to our stay was that we were on the first floor by the cafe so in the morning when they were making coffee it was extremely loud so if you have a family or are a light sleeper, you may want to request another level. We also asked for our room to be cleaned each day, which they did but they would leave all our water bottles around and not really tidy anything up--just make the bed and fresh towels.

Excellent accommodation located in a quiet location near to the Cathedral. Excellent restaurants only a few minutes away. The roof terrace was especially nice and a great place for a beer or glass of wine and watching the sun set over the Carhedeak. Staff were very friendly too.

A real gem!

Brilliant hotel. The most comfortable bed I’ve slept in in a hotel and a really good sized room. Real highlight was the roof terrace with breathtaking views of Palma. Lovely location in the old town. Tucked away but just a short walk from all of the sites. Spa isn’t fantastic but a nice added extra. Only slight criticism was that we had a room on same level as restaurant and it was a bit noisy first thing when preparing breakfast. Other than that, couldn’t fault the stay! Highly recommend a visit!

Relaxing hotel in the old town

This was our first time at the Santa Clara in Palma and our third stay in recent years in the city in the spring. This hotel was easy to locate having travelled from the airport on the bus and immediately felt welcomed. All of the hotel staff were friendly and very helpful. A nice touch was to come back from a meal to find a small bottle of cava on ice from the hotel for my wife's birthday. Our room was spacious and airy and on the top floor so had a velux window which was useful for both light and air. There is a coffee machine, safe and mini bar in the room and enough wardrobe space for our five night stay. The bed is massive and very comfortable and there is a nice sofa. Gowns and slippers are provided for the shall spa which we used several times and was never busy. The breakfast room is very nice and there is a very good selection of cold and warm food on a buffet table. The hotel is in a quiet part of the old city and the only noise was the convent bell at 5:45 pm. A very nice hotel and staff and would thoroughly recommend. I've added a couple of photos from the terrace and the view from our room.

The Santa Clara Urban Hotel was a fantastic place to stay. The staff on reception were friendly, helpful and efficient. They pointed us in the direction of great restaurants and bodega’s.
The rooms were well equipped, large and comfortable. They were spotlessly clean.
We used the spa one rainy afternoon and it was just what we needed to relax. Robes and towels were available for our use.
The hotel was positioned perfectly for exploring the old town, cathedral, castle and marina, but still quiet and relaxing.
We enjoyed our stay in Palma and will return.

The hotel to book!

Lovely hotel, reception were friendly and very welcoming. They were always on hand to help should we have a question and you didn’t feel rushed. We rated comfort one less mark, as at night you could hear other prople’s toilets flushing whilst sleeping, but all in all it didn’t disturb us too much. The hotel is a 15 minute drive from the airport (€20) and a 5-8 minute walk to the cathedral and Palma’s well known shopping street, where you’ll find Mulberry, Zara etc. We did the bus tour, which in all honesty we wouldn’t do again (unless you want to see Bellver Castle) as the hotel is in the heart of where you want to be in Palma. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend!

Lovely 4 night break in Palma old town

Hotel is in a great location only 7 mins from the cathedral or shopping. There are lots of restaurants near by: you can easily find tourist places but the hotel recommended some great restaurants like Sa Bodeguas which are more authentic Mallorcan restaurants.

We were a family of three, and had a small bed for our daughter in the room and there was plenty of room for us all. We even had a small private outdoor space that got some sun.

When I booked it was room only, but we got a deal if we used breakfast every day that it worked out €10 per adult per day which we didn't think bad value for food offered (pastries, fresh fruit, yogurts, bread, nuts, cold meat, cheese, and small selection of hot food. They would also make up omelettes to order if you asked). What I liked was that we didn't need to decide that in advance.

No pool although it does have a small peaceful roof terrace which got a continual breeze in July. Didn't try the spa.

We had a lovely stay at the Santa Clara. Whilst it is very well situated, close to the cathedral and centre of town, it is a quiet and calm oasis. Staff were really friendly and helpful and the room was clean and well- appointed. Would definitely recommend this hotel and hope to return.

Very good location, within short walking distance to the cathedral and also to the modern part of the city. The room is quite spacious, but the furniture are so so and it really gives you a feeling of apartments rather than hotel rooms. The sound proofing is bad, and you can clearly hear things happening outside. The restaurant only serves drinks and some quick food, so it's not suitable for a trip like Christmas holiday, as you cannot find many open restaurants outside and you will be disappointed when you look for luck back to the hotel. Otherwise, it is quite okay.

Booked the Santa Clara based on trip advisor reviews and could not have been a more perfect hotel for a long weekend break in beautiful Palma. The hotel was immaculate inside and out, we were in Room No 1, it was a lovely room, very large with plenty of storage and a fabulous shower with all the nice little added toiletries. Air conditioning was great and well needed even though the room was shaded. Hotel staff were so helpful, advising us and booked restaurants - the hotel is a stones throw from the Cathedral and right in the heart of the old town so central to pretty much everything. My only slight criticism is that our room was next to the restaurant and so at 7am we could hear the coffee machine starting up and the staff putting out the glasses ready for breakfast - this woke me up the first morning but think we got used to it as it never really bothered us much afterwards and we never felt the need to ask to be moved.

Lovely hotel in the perfect location

This hotel is on a sweet little street in the heart of the historic section of Palma. A bit of a challenge if you have a car. Staff was helpful in this regard.

The small spa had really good steam and sauna. We had a Jr suite that was nice and had everything we needed.

In terms of location, I don't think you can do any better. The hotel is rather tasteful as well.

We recommend!

Perfect location for the old town anf sports!

Perfect family hotel: the old town and the many food/shopping opportunities kept everyone happy whilst it was super easy to get away running or cycling without needing much of a glance at the map for the sporty ones! Many top food locations within only a few minutes as well as a nice park for kids and the beach just a minute away!

The staff in the hotel were extremely knowledgable, spoke perfect English and were very helpful and obliging.
The hotel was quirky and interesting with wonderful views from the rooftop terrace. The location of the hotel was perfect being very close to the major historical sites and tucked away next to a convent so very quiet location. The cycle hire was great and the spa was just another added bonus. Would definitely recommend the hotel. Perfect short break.

Great location right in the heart of the old town. A 3€ bus trip from the airport drops you off 5 mins walk from the hotel. Easy walking distance to the beautiful cathedral, marina, beach and excellent shopping. Good range of restaurants and bars all close by. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, clean and well equipped room. A wonderful place for a weekend break.

We had been to Majorca many times but never stayed in palma. The situation of the Santa Clara is ideal. The old town is charming with an endless supply of great bars, restaurants and tapas places a short walk away. The street is very quiet. The staff were helpful although we did not eat in the hotel so cannot comment on food. The room was comfortable and well equipped. Better suited to couples than families

Beautiful area in shadow of Palma Cathedral

Though it can be hard to drive through the tiny streets surrounding the cathedral, the proximity to the walking area of cathedral from this hotel is ideal. There are numerous restaurants, the hotel is silent, clean, modern. A recommended hotel in Palma, Mallorca

This is a nice small boutique hotel in a quiet location in Palma near to the Cathedral. We only stayed one night but enjoyed our stay. Reception staff were friendly and helpful and the room and facilities were of a very good standard. There is also a small spa with tiny hot tub, steam room and sauna.

Very nice and helpful staff. Good location from beach and center of Palma. The breakfast brunch is excellent. You can rent bikes from them too. Superior room is nice...we got the only one with terrace and was nice. Good shower but no bath. They have Spa but only used Jacuzzi which was very small and more for private not hotel quality. All and all very good value and might stay again if I went back to Marocca. Very accommodating staff.

Great location for city discovery

Very pleasant hotel in great location for all attractions.Roof top terrace giving fantastic views of the city but no way to cool off. Stayed in room 104 overlooking Santa Clara convent so very quiet.
Tip -Towels only changed if you leave them on the floor.
Hired bikes from the hotel and used the traffic free 14km cycle way to Palma beach and back to the marina so highly recommended.
Breakfast was pleasant for our 5 night stay but no variation from day to day. Lovely coffee.
Staff helpful with our many questions.

Really enjoyed our 3-night mid-week break in lovely Palma. Hotel was an excellent choice being just a few minutes away from the Gothic cathedral in the old town. Location was lovely and quiet but close enough to restaurants and tapas bars. Easy access to the airport being just a 400 yds walk from the EMT bus (No 1) stop . Our room had stunning views to the bell tower of Santa Clara and there are even better views from the roof terrace. Hotel provided excellent service - helpful and unintrusive.

Very attractive and comfortable hotel in a perfect location - right in the old town, minutes from the beautiful water front, but on a very quiet back street. the staff were very helpful; the spa services we tried (facials) were top notch and moderately priced; wifi worked well. the only very minor detractions were thin walls (could easily hear footfalls of our neighbors - though would have been fine if they'd not been wearing heels!); and breakfast that was overpriced (€15) for what it was. Nice hotel in the old town of Palma

Great central location and friendly staff. We arrived very late at night with 2 young children and the reception staff were really helpful. The views from the roof terrace were great!

Nice hotel, great location

This hotel is located in the heart of Palma. The view from our room was a lovely narrow street and horse drawn carriages would regularly go past our window.
The staff were more than willing to help and give directions.
After wondering the streets, we always managed to find our way back to the hotel.

Ideal Situation

I can't recommend The Santa Clara highly enough. It is situated in a beautiful quiet area, quite close to the cathedral, in easy walking distance to the main shops and the port. The staff bent over backwards to be helpful and friendly and, although a little expensive, it was worth every penny and my daughter and I will definitely return next December for a long weekend.

ery Nice Hotel in Quiet Area

I was very happy with my decision to spend three nights at the Santa Clara Hotel (4,5, and 9 June 2012). The first two nights I was in a large room on the first floor facing the street. Aside from some passing cars, the neighborhood was very quiet making it easy to get a good nights sleep. After spending a few nights along the northwest coast of Mallorca, I returned to Palma and the Santa Clara, this time I was given a second floor room on the back of the building. This was even quieter and my room had a nice view of the church behind the hotel. Overall, the Santa Clara is a very nice hotel. They have converted a beautiful old stone building into a sleekly designed hotel with modern conveniences. Both rooms I stayed in were large, incredibly clean and comfortable (though some may find the concrete floors a bit cold). The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. In terms of location, I thought this place was great. It's located in the old town just east of La Seu. It's a very charming area and, in my opinion, much nicer than the glitzy area on the west side of the bay. If you want to be near nightlife, this location is probably not for you, but if you want a quiet, charming location, this place can't be beat.

Great hotel, fabulous location and lovely staff.

Great hotel for couples and very modern. The perfect location for the old town and its history, shops and tapas. You can walk everywhere. One downside is the partial glass partition wall to the bathroom - if you are there with a friend - you have to be careful where you stand when someone is in the bathroom; it's quite unnerving when you are using the facilities... Also I couldn't find a twin room and had to book a double and sleep on the couch - it's a comfy couch though! Finally, I felt really safe in Palma, but I wouldn't book this hotel if I were on my own - the streets are very narrow and empty at night - although well lit.

Lovely convenient hotel in the old part of the town

This hotel is very peacefull and overlooks a convent and is well placed if you want to stay in the town for a night or two for business or to explore the old city. The bed was very comfortable, shutters on the windows kept the room dark and the bathroom was simple and clean. Breakfast was included in my room rate and was really a fantastic buffet with cold meats, fruits and delicious chocolate croissants. I would definately stay here again if I wanted to stay in the town.

Das Zimmer war sauber und geräumig mit einem schönen Bad! Die Lage des Hotels perfekt um in die Stadt nach Palma zu laufen , an die Kathedrale oder ans Meer. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und vielseitig. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

パルマ大聖堂にはちかいが人が少なめな通りで、ご飯屋さんやお店屋さんなどがある街までは少し歩く必要がある。
バスローブがついてる。シャワーは扉が存在しないタイプのもので日本人には慣れない。
部屋は綺麗でおしゃれ。
大通りに出れば空港まで行くバスが出ているので楽。

Fantastiskt litet hotel med underbara rum. Takterrassen och spa avdelningen är guldkant som vi använde väldigt lite men högsta klass på allt
Service, frukost, mat - allt av högsta klass även här.
Hyrde cyklar, supersmidigt. Fick restaurang tips, fantastiskt!
Gångavstånd till allt.

Vi återvände för vår tionde bröllopsdag till Palma och bokade omedvetet samma hotell som när vi gifte oss. Trevlig överraskning och om möjligt ännu bättre denna gången
