Eklo in Toulouse is a fun, budget-friendly, and apparently eco-friendly spot in a hip, safe neighbourhood, with a tram stop right outside. There are lots of food options nearby, including a small Carrefour, plus a playground and splash pad for kids. The funky building has foosball and arcade games in the lobby, which the kids loved, as well as plenty of seating, and a common fridge. The dorm-style rooms are clean, and kids loved the bunks with privacy curtains. Each room has a small window with automated blinds, and the family room includes a TV. Breakfast was good and the staff friendly.

On the downside, room access is via an outdoor wraparound deck, which was tricky for me with vertigo, especially on the 5th floor. I had no way of knowing I’d be walking a deck that high! There’s no AC, just a suction fan in the private dorm, despite being advertised on their website, and the rooms get quite hot, especially in the bunks. The black walls make rooms dark, which wasn’t cozy and accentuated the heat inside, especially since the window is quite small and barely let in natural light and air. We were originally not close to our kids’ room at all, which was a big hiccup but that got fixed the second night. There were a few small annoyances like missing soap and too few hangers. Not luxury, but a cool and affordable option.

A bit better than average.

This stay was good, my second stay here. For me it is well positioned close to a gym and public transport. Room was ok, quite small this time around, TV has his own mind, luckily i don`t need it. Breakfast is alright, could be much better with a bit more variety (breakfast is quite important for me).

Very comfortable and easy . Loved the fact that it was just next to the tram station and a big Gym . Staff were very helpful . Breakfast very good , quite busy @ 8am , maybe because school holidays.

Kids loved the clubby bunk beds.
Thankfully the weather was cool as I don’t think the tiny fan would have done much to cool the room.
Sink was clogged in the toilet but other wise the room was clean and functional. Great choice for a no frills family stay with a handy location.

Being there without a car, the location was great; it is next to a tram line, just across a public square from the Cartoucherie, and within a neighborhood of new buildings surrounding the old Cartoucherie, I would have been happy to pay more for a bigger room.

This was a really beautiful hotel the only reason it doesnt get 5 stars is that the rooms were small and hot and we had to keep the window open all night and it was kinda in the middle of no where and not walking distance to downtown. Though accomedation in the city is very expensive, this was the cheapest option, and it was really worth it because it was beautiful and the common area was really fun to hang out in with a good bar and market across the street. So I would stay here again.

Overall enjoyed the stay. Really friendly and helpful staff. Good location and about 20 mins on bus from city centre. We had originally picked hotel as good transport links to airport but the tram wasn't running due to works on that line but able to get to/from by bus. Only criticism would be that there was no air conditioning in room so had to leave window open a lot. This was generally ok but as near a residential area it was noisy at times. For the prices we paid we felt the facilities were very good and was good value for money. There is a supermarket right next to the hotel and a pharmacy nearby which was helpful.

Dorm room was okay, but location was inconvenient from central Toulouse. As well, the entire facility despite being new is very poorly designed. Rooms entry from the outdoors versus internal hallways, and minimal natural lighting.

To make it even worse, to get daylight and fresh air from outside, had to open a window that completely exposed the room interior visible to other guests, with no screen or bars at all, and it also allowed mosquitoes and flies to enter the room.

Everyone in room complained about mosquitoes entering their bed area, and biting them.

And we had to open the window, because there is no air conditioning - seriously, you open a brand new hotel / hostel in 2023, and don't install air conditioning?! That's an expected & standard modern amenity.

At minimum, since they can't fix the design now, either add window insect screens, install air conditioning units to the dorm rooms, or install those blue anti-insect lights to the rooms that will attract and kill mosquitoes & flies.

Eklo is a lovely hotel. It is very safe, you have to use your key card to enter after 10:30pm and to use the lifts to the rooms. The rooms have doors that open straight outside onto the walkway. It would be nice if there was some benches/seats so you could sit out infront of your room. The rooms are small but have what you need, a bed and a bathroom.
We had coffee at the bar, which was nice and not expensive. The service was good. Even though our French wasn't great, we were understood.
We would stay again.

My stay was so-so. I booked a private twin bed with a shower.

Bathroom was great. (I had a small issue with the sink that was promptly fixed.) However room had no a/c (perhaps I should have read the description more carefully), sheets were low quality and scratchy, no nightstand, and no curtain which meant either people could look straight in the room or it was dark with the metal shade.

Also, I was expecting there to be a social atmosphere given their branding but there was not.

Overall, I would avoid it. Not pleasing at all.

I was excited to try this brand new ecological hotel. Unfortunately, my overall experience was far from comfortable. First, let me say that it breaks my heart to leave a bad review because that staff is fantastic. Every team member I've met could work in a 5 stars hotel. The problem is the hotel. First, there is no air conditioning. Their \"refrigerated floor\" provides no cold at all. There is no ventilation in the room, be prepared to live in full humidity and hot temperature. You have to open the windows to overcome the issue, leading to other problems. Many young people around the hotel do parties all night, every day (I was there for a week), and it isn't quiet. The hotel is more of a motel as you enter the room from the outside. People smoke on the terrace and talk; it feels like they are talking/smoking on your pillow. Plus, you have absolutely no privacy if you leave the shutter open. If you close them, there is no ventilation, and you are in a dark bunker. The owner didn't seem to care about my fundamental problem. The elevator was broken for the entire duration of my stay, poor wifi in the room, and the worst was that the hotel ran out of hot water frequently (see Google review for proofs). When stating fundamental issues to the manager, all she offered was \"we know we are sorry\" and didn't seem to mean it at all. Finally, the hotel is more of an accommodation for locals than a touristic location. The restaurant and hotels if filled with the family of locals.

Nous avons réservé une chambre duo pour assister à un concert au Zénith de Toulouse. La proximité du zénith (moins de 10 mn) à pieds à motiver notre choix.
Prix très raisonnable avec le petit déj.
Petit déjeuner à volonté de type continental ou britannique (j'aurais bien aimé des œufs brouillés et des saucisses pour ma part) et pain de qualité. Etonnamment, pas de chocolatines à Toulouse, que des croissants.
Concernant la chambre, elle était largement suffisante pour passer une nuit, cela dit un peu bruyante en raison d'un soucis d'isolation au niveau du joint de porte (la rue est très envahissante et le tramway dont l'arrêt se trouve à coté également)

La chambre familiale est bien agencée et décorée
Toutefois, nous nous sommes retrouvés dans une chambre au dessus de la route et c’est très bruyant, surtout à partir de 5h30 du matin ( tram et clochette toutes les 10min )
Enfin, petit soucis d’odeur dans notre chambre ( remontée d’égout je pense !)
Dans l’ensemble bien pour le prix et quartier qui prône la mixité sociale et l’écologie 👌

Car suis sortie une nuit à 2h30 du matin suis restée près 10mn à attendre qu une personne puisse me ouvrir la porte. Car ma car n a été activée pour le parking.

Ne connaissant pas Toulouse j’ai été agréablement surprise par le fait que l’hôtel soit super bien placé. Il y a Les Halles juste à côté à pied des endroits pour manger. De plus l’hôtel est situé près des services de tramway et bus. A part ça le service est génial les employés sont gentils le directeur aussi, la formule petit déjeuner vaut vraiment le coup !! J’y étais pour un concert et nous étions fatigués et nous avons pu en dernière minute retarder notre départ ce qui normalement doit être fait la veille donc vraiment génial (à ne pas refaire). J’ai adoré y séjourner et pourquoi pas m’y rendre une prochaine fois.

Attention au parking et au bruit !

Quartier neuf et immeuble devant la ligne de tram. Parking introuvable avec le gps. Après avoir appelé, on m'indique comment m'y rendre. Arrivés devant le parking: porte clause et un interphone. On me dit que l'on m'ouvre. À l'interieur un drôle de parking, neuf comme l'immeuble mais très bas et j'ai peur que mon 4x4 soit trop haut pour passer car aucune indication.Heureusement une voiture derrière moi me propose de rester derrière moi pour vérifier. Quelques mètres plus bas, je me retrouve à nouveau devant porte close. Le Monsieur derrière moi souhaite entrer à droite dans un autre \"sous-parking\", mais il doit attendre que je passe. La porte du parking indiquée être celle de l'hôtel ne souvre pas, pas d'autre interphone...Je rappelle mais on me met en attente. Je maneouvre difficilement afin de laisser la voiture derrière moi passer, porte finit par s'ouvrir par miracle après 5mns!
Là les places sont particulièrement étroites mais le calvaire/parking est terminé... jusqu'au lendemain. Avec de la chance un Monsieur prend l'ascenseur avec moi pour monter à l'hôtel car apparemment il faut passer la carte de sa chambre pour débloquer l'ascenseur (carte que je n'ai pas encore)Je me plains gentiment à l'accueil mais le jeune homme qui me recoit est fort peu compatissant. Pour le reste : le service au bar/restaurant est impeccable. La chambre est telle que décrite. Beaucoup de bruit dans l'hôtel et la rue et encore des problèmes à la sortie du parking car mauvaises explications...

L'accueil: parfait, de l'arrivée dans l'après-midi au dernier rentré le soir.
Chambres petits mais suffisant et propre. Il manquait jusqu'un petit gobelet pour l'eau.
Hélas tôt le matin on dormait tout à coup à Blagnac avec des avions qui arrivaient et partaient (?) et en plus de ça des discussions dans les corridors, très bruyant.

Chambre petite mais confortable. Super bien isolé de l’extérieur. Pas de lumière le matin donc on peut bien faire la grasse mat’.
Très bien placé: à 1 minute des halles de la Cartoucherie, 15 minutes du Capitole (tram+métro). Zenith à 5 minutes à pied.

Le sig.re chevla gestiscono sono molto gentili e premurose. un sguardo in più di controllo lo farei a chi sistema le camere. trovata umiditá all interno perche non arieggiata al momento della pulizia e lavaggio pavimenti adeguatamente. La chiusura del bar pomeridiana e serale la trovo inadeguata . suddividere le 4 persone del mattino anche sul pomeriggio sarebbe adeguato per dare un servizio continuativo. questo ,è il mio consiglio da cliente. Hôtel moderne. Décoration atypique seulement avec l’unique fenêtre c’est sombre... Équipements dans la chambre assez rudimentaires. Matelas ferme. Pas de climatisation. Chambre donnant au dessus de l’arrêt du Tram… des qu’il s’arrête une sonnerie retentit et cela de 5h à minuit !! Très bruyant pour se reposer.

Le personnel était au petit soin de l'accueil jusqu'à notre départ - et même après-. Equipe agréable, serviable et tout dans la bonne humeur et le sourire (réception, restau, même la femme de ménage). Mon fils et moi avons passé un agréable moment, merci !

Désagréable penser prendre une chambre je me suis retrouvé dans une chambre dortoir a 8 lits avec accès toilette et douche donnant dans la chambre quant on voie le prix que sa leur rapporte aux mètres carré bonjours l'inconfort. Je déconseille chère

Encore un petit effort

L'équipe de l'Eklo Toulouse est particulièrement accueillante et à l'écoute. L'hébergement est fonctionnel quoique peu chaleureux, dans les deux sens du terme : le chauffage par le sol ne fonctionne pas dans toutes les chambres mais on vous prête un chauffage d'appoint électrique (bruyant et pas très écolo). L'éclairage des chambres est minimaliste, le confort est spartiate (mais c'est normal, on ne vient pas chez Eklo pour le luxe).

We stayed at this hotel recently, and unfortunately, our experience was less than ideal. The room was cramped, and the lack of proper ventilation made it uncomfortably humid, especially after showering. The inability to open the window for fresh air without sacrificing privacy was a significant drawback. Additionally, the absence of an air conditioner added to the overall discomfort. Not the most pleasant stay.
