Considering everything, I would rate my stay at the Novotel, Toulouse a very satisfying one. The staff were very accommodating and incredibly friendly ( kudos to Kevin, Luca and Ryan ).The room was spacious,spotless, and comfortable and crisp bed sheets too!The metro is very accessible from this location-just 2 stops to the city center. Only minor issues were the pillows being too small and the quality of some of the furnishings was a bit chintzy to my liking-but that's a personal preference🙏♥️👍

Super Hôtel, très bien situé !

Not the best experience

Our room did not have a desk or chair; just a bed and a single couch. I guess they did not have them because the room was too small. I know that other rooms had desks and chairs. All the rooms were booked so we were out of luck to change rooms. When I asked for a small portable desk and chair so that we can do some work in the room (we had to do confidential online meetings) , we were told that this was not possible. While I was kindly discussing our options with one receptionist, another one came and acted all weird. She was rather rude. So I gave up discussing our options as it was no use. We ended up staying there, but it was not a good experience. On top of this, the restaurant was not at all accommodating for dietary restrictions. This is not surprising in France, as they don’t understand the concept of dietary restrictions in most places outside Paris, but I was expecting at least some effort. Nothing was offered. Breakfast was also rather poor. In the land of cheese, they had only one type that was not particularly good. We ended up skipping the breakfast even though we paid for it as part of the room cost. Perhaps others had better experience with this hotel, but we thought we made a mistake. We chose it because it was close to the convention center, but we should have stayed near the center of the city where all the action takes place. This location is rather far to the good restaurants, etc. Overall, we did not have a great experience.

Staff were ALL very nice and accommodating.
The hotel does need a concierge to assist visitors with questions about the area and with helping set up activities.
Our room was overly warm even with the AC turn down to the coldest it would go. We had to ask for a fan. The bathroom sink stopper would not stay in the open position and the water did not drain well. Just washing your hands could cause an overflow.

A fairly tired Novotel. Main bar and restaurant nicely done but dated rooms with tiny showers and No desk or usable chair to work on the room if required.

Fitness suite basically an old bedroom with a bike in it not really 4* experience.

Otherwise usual expected too amenities.

Quiet location by the a park is a bonus although general exterior area feels a bit run down.

The hotel has a lot of potential (next to a very nice park and close to the city centre), but very outdated. Just some of many specific issues we experienced:
- very small rooms (especially if travelling with small kids)
- not clean + not cleaning rooms properly
- quite outdated interior
- very hot, no AC
- beds, pillows, sheets all need a refresh
- employees should be much friendlier. They are not rude, but need to learn basics: hello, good day, yes of course, goodbye etc
- the whole hotel needs a renovation

As expected for a Novotel hotel, clean, well-organized, restaurant, pool, service, and personnel. Our only concern was the exterior appearance of the property from the front. Upon arrival from the airport, it does not look very inviting. Overgrown weeds, and a dirty appearance, we were not sure if it was the right place until we saw the Novotel hotel signs. This REALLY needs to be worked on.

The inside of this hotel is what you would expect from a Novotel, for the most part. Our room wasn't very big, but it was totally fine. Staff were friendly. However, the immediate vicinity of the hotel appears to be falling into some disrepair. We weren't sure where to park, and ended up parking in a public lot below the hotel. The next morning we found the window of our car broken and some items stolen - not a fun way to end a vacation. In the morning, we noticed a sign in the elevator warning guests not to park there, but we hadn't see it the] night before because we arrived late and were tired. Also, no one mentioned specific hotel parking when we arrived. If you stay here, just be warned to avoid the public parking lot.

The hotel was everything we needed for our stay in Toulouse. We were visiting a family member who is currently working here and deciding to go for the hotel with a pool was perfect. The pool was quiet and sometimes we had it to ourselves, we opted to have dinner at the hotel one lunch and this was a fantastic buffet. The brunch was also delicious on the weekend. The staff were so helpful and let us have a late check out as our flight had been delayed until 23:00. Definitely would come back, great location to get to the main streets of Toulouse too.

Everything was great except for the A/C inside the room. We had a long trip from Andorra going to Toulouse and so I was looking forward to a cool comfortable night to sleep in. However, it was warm and the A/C was not working and there was no way to fix it because they said it was centralized, the staff was eager to help and gave me a fan to use overnight.

We had a 2 night stay at Novotel Toulouse. The room we were given looked tired and dated. The A.C. wasn't working properly which was a concern due to hot weather. When raised concerns with staff they attended to it promptly and changed our room. The whole building needs an upgrade and seems to have various issues. Location is good close to The Capitole. The staff from house keeping to front office were excellent, very helpful and friendly. They really try to and do make up for the cons of the hotel. The pool was good for the kids but again in need of a good clean and an upgrade I think. Breakfast was good and had a good choice. Overall a very pleasent stay.

Superb hotel for family

Arrived into Toulouse for a stop-over from Pyrennes to wedding in Italy. This hotel was ideally located between airport and city centre. The hotel had a great pool facility just metres from the bar and reception. Staff were lovely and organised a taxi to airport. 10 out of 10

Fab little place. Nice pool, centrally located and friendly staff. Room did smell like smoke when we arrived so we had to air out the room for the day. Also no air conditioning made the place very warm! Overall though, staff were great and we really enjoyed our stay.

The bed was quite hard and there were protests that I could hear clearly from my room in the middle of the night. It was a huge struggle to be able to check out early and get a refund. While on a trip for leisure or business, everyone needs their sleep for their sanity, I had enough.

We stayed at the Novotel for the new year holidays,
our stay was almost perfect.
Our children enjoyed the pool table, the Xbox in the lounge area as well as meeting other children.
Only issue was on our first morning there was some early maintenance work, (drilling started at 8:30).
The rooms were cleaned every morning and the standard was very high.
Receptionists always willing to help.

Very well equipped, comfortable and nice location

Very good location to local Universities, easy walk to the Capitole and great running trail along the near by canals. Wifi connection is great everywhere, included breakfast it efficient and good value. Not too far walk from the Tisseo Airport bus. Very nice and quite park next door.

Good, secure, cheap underground parking, warm welcome and lots to do for the kids. Pool was a bit cold, but good after a long days travelling. Room was on the small side for 4, but comfortable enough. The park at the back of the hotel was lovely, especially the Zenith garden - a real surprise. Through the park to shops and restaurants and a fantastic little cafe for breakfast...would stay again.

Handy for access into Toulouse. One night there was a student party in the square outside which was noisy until 3 am. Also the swiming pool was closed which was disappointing. Staff were really friendly though and the food in the restaurant was good.

Fine hotel, breakfast was very basic though. Hardly any selection - I'm baffled by a previous reviewer saying 'best buffet breakfast ever'. I chose this hotel simply as it had a pool, the pool is right next to the restaurant though so not very private when sun baking. The hotel itself is 15 minute walk from Toulouse centre, so not hugely central if that's important. My room at 4pm one day still hadn't had house keeping through, and when they finally came at 5pm, they didn't replenish soaps etc, which was frustrating. Also, the shower leaked - the bathrooms were rather dated. All in all, a perfectly fine hotel and the staff were lovely but probably more a 3 star, than 4 star property.

The location is good 5 minutes walking from the metro which 3 stations from the city center.

Reasonable hotel close to city centre.

The hotel was next to the Japanese gardens and our view was over the gardens itself. This is the first time we visited Toulouse and it was an enjoyable experience. The hotel was clean tidy and the staff was very helpful. We will visit again.

Not the best that I have stayed in Toulouse area

The room could have done with a make over but it was ok. Checked in freshened up and noticed that the sink waste was leaking. So went down to reception. I was expecting that I would be offered another room as the hotel was not busy. Instead girl from reception took me back up to my room to see the problem. I showed her the water dripping onto the floor under the sink. She said that as I was staying one night that it would be ok. As an after thought she said that I could move rooms if I really wanted to. Guess the look on my face gave her the prompt to offer a room change. I did decide to change rooms as I did not want to wash my feet and clean my teeth at the same time. Free WiFi performance was dire but you can pay to upgrade. This is France so no English TV channels. A few restaurants close by the hotel but don't forget that most don't open until 8pm. Found a great little bar with a happy hour and 15 types of burgers so eat here as we were hungry and it was 6:30pm. I will not stay here again as the price was good but it did not feel comfortable.

Nice Hotel.Close to Park and most cool things.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They will answer all questions you have. It is a very secured building. If you come back after hours you will have to use a buzzer for a hotel staff to let you in.

Overall I'd say the room was clean and comfortable. It was very easy to walk to most attractions. Hotel is located about 20 mins walk to the City Center/Capital were some of the shopping happens. You can take a bus there as well but the walk is pretty cool and you can stop for a beer or coffee on the way.

There is also a grocery store(carefour) about 5mins walk from the hotel...And a Japanese style park literally behind the hotel.

My only negative thing is that it is hard to find if it is your first time in toulouse and you're using public transportation from the airport. The bus will stop at the Campas Caffarely stop but you may need to walk 5 mins to the hotel-you can just ask somebody how to get there...but once you find where it is. it is actually not that bad.

So I'll recommend for the staff, room, location & maybe price(depending on how you book it)

This hotel caters to business people coming to Toulouse, but amazingly it doesn't provide an iron nor an ironing board in the room. That's not usually a problem in most hotels since you can ask for one and they'll bring it to your room. I asked as soon as I arrived and several times after as I needed it badly to be presentable for a meeting the next day. It never arrived, and the staff was remarkably unhelpful aside from telling me none were available. It's not a huge deal, but on a business trip this is a fairly important amenity. This annoyance aside, this hotel serves its purpose, it's starting to show its age but it is functional and comfortable enough.

Worst Night Sleep - Ever!

The location of the hotel was good, as we were only staying 1 night before flying out from Touloese Airport. However the walls in the hotel must be made of paper! All we could here were people in ajioning rooms talking all night, these guest were not shouting & screaming, merely talking, but we could here every word as if we were in the room with them. Also the airconditioning only pumped out hot air.

great hotel for cycle touring base

We have stayed here several times as a base for cycle touring and its location and accomodating staff keep us coming back. However it is desperately in need of some tlc. Carpets need replacing in rooms and hallway. Twice we were given rooms over the restaurant which were really noisy well into the night. Poor sleep both nights despite very comfortable bed.
Reception staff always very helpful.
Don't advise eating at the restaurant -overpriced and poor example of french cooking.

Extremely disappointing

We booked an executive room with a balcony, but the balcony was unusable due to it being covered in pigeon excrement. It was impossible to sit on the balcony due to the number of pigeons landing on the floor, walls, and table.

Pigeons were walking around inside the hotel around the breakfast tables whilst people were eating.

There were only 5 sunloungers around the pool and the proximity to the dining room (tables two feet away from the pool and having to walk through the dining room to get to the pool) made it very off-putting to actually use it.

Finally - having to check out at 6.30am due to an early flight was a challenge for the staff who had been working for 11 hours. They could not adequately work the computer system and could find no reference to the hotel being paid through Expedia. I had to then pay the full amount for the 3 night stay again, and go through the arduous task of contacting Expedia's offshore call centre to resolve on arriving home.

We were expecting a nice 4 star hotel, as has been the case with previous Novotel hotels we have stayed at. Initially we were put in a room where there were pigeons roosting directly outside. We asked for another room. We expected the hotel to overlook the park, as is seen in the expedia photos, but instead we overlooked the front of the hotel with a dreadful piece of modern art / disguise for the underground car park which is not maintained (overgrown weeds, etc.) We were also not happy with having to pay 9 Euro to park our car in their car park, when their spaces are not big enough for a family size car. Their free WiFi doesn't work. There are only 2 tv channels in English. The AC didn't work properly. The only reason it is a 4 star is because it has a pool. It is not central, despite the address. Their ONLY saving grace is that the staff were pleasant. We were only there for 2 nights so didn't kick up a stink. Would I recommend this hotel (or Toulouse) to friends? No.

Wonderful, helpful and friendly staff

A central location with nearby park. Rooms are a bit jaded but perfectly clean. Staff are amazingly helpful - one even brought in a hairdryer from home (the one in the room had failed).

Tea and coffee supplies in room and a fridge.

10 minutes leisurely stroll to the Capitol.

A really well located hotel- about ten minutes walk from the city centre- and a comfortable place for a short stay or stopover, with excellent staff support. I tried to communicate in French and they were very patient and understanding- and they all spoke very good English.

The security of this hotel was designed to jsut frustrate the hell out of you . They should train their front desk people too many codes and keys and what not but front desk gave me the card/key code to the room next door to mine..without asking me for an ID...
the card/key was constantly being deactivated so we got stuck in the garage and we couldn't get up...at least 10 times a day we had to go reactivate the card and they would do it without asking for any kind of ID so whatever room I would tell them theyh would do...then they were rude and so incompetent. They messed up the accounts for 2 reservations they wanted to charge things we never had...very unsatisfactory mostly management and staff are cluless they all need major training

wish I could recommend but...

First impressions v.good. First stop nearby from airport on the airport bus. Wanted outside noisy main centre, and it was just right- only 10-15 min walk or couple of minutes by metro.
Big room, good bathroom, bath and shower, separate wc. Coffee and tea but no cups- only plastic glasses. Good breakfast- lots of choice. Free internet.
But- let down by air con or lack of it. System has been fixed so only lowest fan level works, regardless of room control, probably because its expensive for the hotel. V. cold outside, but stifling in room especially as only heavy duvet supplied- far too hot to sleep. Can't imagine what summer would be like. Windows open but no catches to keep them open, also you need them shut to keep out noise from locals on nearby open ground. Fix the aircon, supply cups, would be a good stay.

Good and clean with helpful staff

This hotel is located about 20 mins walk from the center of town but right next to the conference venue I was attending. It's not much to look at from the outside but the rooms are newly appointed and clean. The breakfast is on the expensive side but I found it worth it as there was plenty of choice and the quality of food was excellent.

Needs renovation and a few more smiles

The Novotel was extremely basic for the price charged and I was so shocked at the state of the corridors where the rooms are that I almost went back to the other hotel I had been staying in in Toulouse - my colleague, I found out later, had the same opinion and had announced her intention of leaving.
The corridor carpets are stained, threadbare and old, the lift to the garage has parts of the pannelling missing so that you can see right through into the liftshaft and the rooms are 2*basic comfort - although not too small in some respects, the bathroom door didn't even shut because the bed was too close and the door didn't have enough space.
The staff were not rude but they were 'cold' e.g. turning their back on you as soon as a question was answered or room key given, answering the phone whilst in mid-conversation with you, the room cleaner didn't say hello or goodbye and let herself in without knocking, when using the garage intercom the reception didn't reply to my request to enter or leave, they just buzzed and cut me off. All this could be changed with just a little customer care training and a few smiles instead of 'cold' professionalism. Combined with the shabby decor on the bedroom floors and garage lift and the high price charged, it was a depressing experience.

Novotel hotel, Toulouse - good option for stopover

Spacious room, comfortable even with 4 persons. Delicious breakfast included and walking distance to town centre.Stairs from garage to reception should be taken into account for luggage planning, but overall a very nice experience.

Very Nice Hotel, Very Pleased.

The Novotel Toulouse Center was very nice and we were very pleased at its overall quality. The hotel lobby, bar, restaurant were modern, clean, and inviting. The rooms were very nice, clean, modern, and comfortable with good selection of english speaking tv news channels. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful.

depressing neighborhood

hotel facilities are undeniably nice, including pool. service very uneven, with some people within expectable helpfulness range, others downright rude, as though being put out. immediate neighborhood notable for drunks, dirt and generally depressed. in all honesty, our view of toulouse as a whole was very much influenced by how many unpleasant encounters we had with people there. it was most surprising and disturbing when the rudeness/coldness came from service personnel, including cab drivers and wait-people.

Better than 3 star

This hotel is down as a 3-star, but felt much better than that. Overall a comfortable stay in a spacious room, excellent staff, nice location. Only one minor niggle: you have to pay for broadband access.
