The hotel is very quiet, nicely appointed rooms - though I felt that my bathroom needed updating. It felt dated and the toilet seat had marks on it which, though they were scratches, made it look unsightly.
The TV main menu shows functions for casting from a device, yet it doesn't work.
Breakfast is very overpriced for what it is, walking to a cafe nearby and getting croissants/coffee and juice was much more reasonable.
The staff were very professional, attentive and polite.

I would stay here again, especially as it is so central.

Nothing to see nearby, but walking distance to the Place du Capitole. Also, 15 minute walk to the train station.

On the positive were the staff who were pleasant and helpful save for the one point I will come to.
The hotel is opposite (on one side) a huge nightclub. I’m not sure what time they shut but it is certainly past 2.30am. I booked ‘privilege’ rooms for myself and my sister and mother. My mother (83 but fit and active) was put in a room with a seated shower arrangement. I did not know this until the second evening of our three night trip otherwise I would have asked for her to be moved. She had no idea how to work it and I am annoyed that nothing was said about it at check in. She is a bath person and would have been best placed in one of the other rooms.
These rooms are opposite the nightclub so I don’t know how they are any better than any other. Thankfully my sister sleeps through everything and my mother is hard of hearing. I unfortunately like a bit of air at night but you could not have the balcony ajar because of the noise.
There is a fairly standard breakfast and food outlets all around but no internal restaurant or room service.
Overall a bit soulless but it depends on what you are looking for.

Decent size rooms. Went with 2 others and we all had our own room. My room had an issue with the toilet flush 1st morning, which could not be fixed, so they quickly found me another. I think it was a superior, rather than standard as booked :) Excellent location for the City. Lots to see and do. Near to Metro stations if needed. About 15min walk to main train station if you fancy a trip out. We did - Carcassone and Albi. Both amazing.

Fabulous, except for one sweaty detail.

We stayed here for two nights at the beginning and again at the end of our holiday. It's in a great central location and the staff were really accommodating with first and early check in, and then a very late arrival. Our first visit was a regular room which is on the small side (as are many in Europe), for the return we booked a Privilege room which was well worth it. We didn't have the breakfast as didn't feel that it was worth 20 Euro/person for us as we generally grab a coffee and croissant.

The only criticism, and it's very much a personal preference but I'm certain others will relate, is that they use a mattress protector under the sheet that basically amounts to a plastic shower cap. It's some kind of waterproof fabric that crinkles when you turn over and traps your body heat so you wake up sweltering in the middle of the night. This was in both rooms and we tried to put up with it. Finally, the last night we actually took it off. It's a shame as the beds are really comfortable. I've stayed in hundreds of hotels of varying \"stars\"and that sort of protector is not the norm, there are better ones out there that don't leave guests feeling like they're in a midnight sauna. Hopefully management gets enough feedback that they consider a more reasonable alternative.

Great location, in a very walkable area of the city with nearby dining and shopping options. Property is very nice, and staff was pleasant and attentive. Very much recommended. Minor negatives . . . if you opened a window at night, noise from street level could be fairly high (on one side of hotel), and if you tried to park a rental car in the hotel garage, if is quite difficult to maneuver in. (But other public garages are within a short walking distance that are comfortable to get into/out of.)

Lovely oasis of calm in the city

We arrived on a Saturday evening and we’re greeted by a friendly receptionist who got us checked in quickly and efficiently.
The room had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay though I must admit to being a little disappointed not to have one of the lovely top floor rooms with a balcony we had the last time we stayed here.
Hotel staff kindly booked us a table at a restaurant we requested as we had arrived quite late.
We had a totally enjoyable stay and we will be back and highly recommend this hotel

Felt more like a cheap conference hotel, with many annoying economies like paper cups for in-room coffee (very few options, some of them horrible, and no biscuits), laughable minibar (one lager, coke, water, orange juice), one loo-roll, Toiletries with waterscale on the outside. Functional but not welcoming and not particularly comfortable.

Bed was comfortable but the pillows were cheap quality so very uncomfortable. Found hairs in the bathroom and dust in the room. Air conditioning noisy but room too hot if not on so slept with window open (we were lucky that we had fire escape, so window/door to fire escape could be opened and put on latch). Fridge was nice and quiet but something had been spilt by previous guests and not cleaned away. Shower was good. Breakfast in the morning was very nice. All the staff were lovely and very helpful. Overall the stay was fine - would possibly consider staying again as location for shops and restaurants was excellent.

Hotel was incredibly warm and stuffy. There were 6 of us staying at the hotel across 4 different floors and none of the rooms had air conditioning. The communal areas are lovely and clean and breakfast was the usual continental version but was good with a fair selection.

Clean, close to everything

Hotel is close to Capitole and a few steps from Metro. Monoprix, Galleries Lafayette and shopping all around the corner. A bit far from SNCF but if you take the metro, it’s only one stop. Breakfast is very good, hot food like eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes plus cold cuts and cheese and pastries. Will definitely stay in this hotel again.

Bed and room very comfortable. One of the reception employees is almost rude and shouldn't work the front desk (thin man with dark hair)
I would not consider this a business hotel the write up states there is a self service business center. There is no computer guests can use (I asked) and there are no newpapers. I asked about this also and was told to go online. Location is very good walkable to all sights and shopping.

A quick stopover.

Our stay in Toulouse was a quick stopover for one night only so we didn't get to explore much of the city and surrounds. The hotel was located near some restaurants and local bars which made it easy to find somewhere for a quick dinner and drink in the evening. After travelling from Aix, we found the city had less of a vibe than what I had hoped. Breakfast the next day was easy as we stumbled across a local food market just off the main shopping district. If we had the chance to stay longer I suspect the shopping in the area would have been great. The hotel itself was clean and we had a large room which can be somewhat rare travelling in Europe. The carpark was an experience and would not be suitable for large cars, however it was reasonably priced.

Perfect location for Toulouse break

Unsure of the area I booked this hotel as it look very well presented and appeared to be in a central location.

Both were spot on. The hotel itself was fantastic. Lovely modern decor, and in a fantastic location. Just next to the Jardin Pierre Goudouli with a nice selection of cafe's and restaurants, and easy access to the Place Du Capitole.

I'd highly recommend walking to the square on Place Saint-Georges - which had another great selection of cafes/bars/restaurants and a really friendly cosmopolitan atmosphere!

Great stay at the Mercure Wilson. Wonderful location in the heart of Toulouse near Jean Jaurès metro station. Great breakfast and friendly staff. Room felt a little cramped, but this is Europe and to be expected, and overall was quite comfortable (although a soft headboard would have been nice on the bed).

Cool hotel, great location

If you're in Toulouse to see the sights, nearly everything you would like to see is within walking distance of this hotel. Right outside the door are numerous restaurants, shops, and a lovely park. Our room was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed for a pleasurable stay. The hotel also has a parking garage which is a big deal as parking is very limited in the city. The staff were courteous and helpful.

Classic mercure hotel, only this is quite a good one. Located in a very good area with shops, cafés and restaurants and more all in a 2 min walk.

We had a great time and a pleasant stay all hotel service were great as you would expect with mercury and for the prices. We used there parking facilities which is good and handy for being in the centre of town leaving us to walk around.

Would deffantly recommend!

Hotel was very good and the location great. The main complain is about being allocated in a room for disable people. If the hotel plan to use this type of rooms for any kind of people then those rooms should also be designed not only for disable. For example, there was no chair for the desk. The towels can only be hanged in a single bar and no space enough. The receptionist should ask the guest if agree with this type of room before assign it directly. The second complain is about the price for breakfast which is not included. It is too expensive and I did not take it. Personnel were kind and helpful.

Hotel very well situated with many bars, cafes, restaurants around. Two metro stations within short walking distance, and bus for shuttle bus to airport nearby. Cheaper alternative is to take metro from Capitol to Arenes and change to tram to airport, only 1.60 euros instead of 8 euros.

Adverse comments have been made regarding bathrooms, but we could not fault it. Possibly they have been refurbished as sink, etc. were of high quality and room was not cramped at all.

Reception provided shower caps on request, as only soap and shower gel/shampoo were provided. Safe now available in the room, with fridge/bar and kettle. Only two milk/creams provided per day, but extra obtained from reception. Provision of bottled water, coffee, sugar, etc. was hit and miss, varying from day to day, depending on who serviced the room.

Overall a very pleasant stay.

The service at this hotel is great... but ...

We stayed at the Mecure just the one night and found the service, friendliness and support from the staff to be exceptional. The decor of the hotel was also of a very high standard and it certainly gives a great impression on entering both the hotel and the room.

On the downside, our room was so hot and stuffy the air conditioning only seemed to make the situation worse. If our room hadn't backed on to a courtyard we would have slept with the windows open because the breeze was beautiful. Whilst I was delighted to have a king sized bed, it was actually like sleeping on wood, or the base of the bed. I likr a firm mattress but this was over the top.

I'm sure these problems don't exist in all the rooms and because of the service I am still happy to recommend this hotel.

I've stayed at many Mercure or Accor group hotels worldwide and this was by far the most anonymous and disappointing experience. My five night stay in a second floor room was affected by the noise of first floor refurbishment works and strong smell of paint and solvents. There had been no notice in advance of works taking place in the hotel. The terrace outside my window was dilapidated. Lifts were messy with plaster and carpets unfitted. No tourist information in bedrooms or foyer. A second single sachet of coffee each day would have been appreciated. When temperatures reach 25 degrees it would seem reasonable to expect air-con to work, not just be told it's still winter (April). The advertised carefully selected wines turned out to be New World, with staff constrained by lack of training (please don't mix end of one bottle with start of totally different wine), lack of access to glasses or cash register. Definitely not four star hotel nor the expected Mercure four star experience.

Comfortable hotel in a perfect location

This beautiful Mercure is in the heart of Toulouse, a 2-minute walk to the Capitole. Quiet and modern rooms, comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, and overall great value for money. I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel whenever you are in Toulouse, for business or leisure.
